The starters took some time to arrive, but when it was revealed that the chef had prepared the calamari gluten-free, especially for me, the delay was understood and completely forgiven. Any coeliac will know how rare it is to enjoy a plate of calamari. It was delicious. Mum had to order herself another plate of gluten calamari, which came quickly.For our mains, we shared the halloumi salad and pan-fried salmon. Both plates were cleared. I especially enjoyed the bursts of sweetness from the diced dried pineapple and the crunch of the seeds in the salad.For pudding, I tried their Indian carrot pudding. It is something I'll definitely be having again.The coffee was also very nice.We had a wonderful experience, the staff, the space, and the food all top-notch. We have plans to return next week. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Matthew Beckenham: One of a kind experience!Booked a last min stay for an unexpected work night away... What an unexpected gem.Me and a colleague enjoyed a superb meal... One of the best scotch egg starters I've ever had, followed by an epic homemade steak pie main which was equally superb. Was then expecting to have a quiet pint before retiring to the rooms...yet spent the evening enjoying the company of the locals in some surreal impromptu group karaoke experience... A first for me but what looked to be an everyday occurrence for them... All sounding amazing with their seemingly semi professional standards... Whilst we attempted to join in badly... Although peaking in our contribution around bohemian rhapsody!Great community vibe like I've never seen before. I only wish I lived here!Friendly staff.Lovely rooms.Amazing food.Wonderful atmosphere.Big thanks to all the staff, locals...Steven on guitar and Dave on the electronic drum kit... For a memorable work night away.Thanks for having us and we shall certainly be back!

David Hatton: A random trip out and as random things can be a very nice evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and surprise, surprise, food service on a Monday evening! Cosy seating by the fireplace. It wasn't a planned trip but the menu was tempting so a selection of starters it was which were all good and didn't disappoint. Will be a proper destination in the future

Osìn Lavery: but kept well. Lots of cosy snugs. Sat with my gran and fam in a little nook and were well looked after by attentive staff. Chicken brioche burger came out quick, one of the best batters I’ve had and perfect crispy fries. They do music nights too. Great sunny beer garden. A little treasure of a pub for locals and day trippers alike. A real gem. Go here.

Chris: Wow. Finally a pub Sunday Roast that will blow your socks off. I admit I'm a Sunday Roast snob. It's the King of Dinners, and everything has to be just right. I went for the Pan Fried Chicken and was not disappointed. The Gravy was incredible, the veg utterly delicious and the accompaniments like stuffing and those little curly friend onion bits, fantastic.To top it all off, the host and waitresses were all brilliant and so accommodating, helping us out when we had a booking faux pas.This was our second visit and I will be back for thirds, fourths, fifths, just keep the Roasts the same!
