Scott Stanford: My daughter had her 9th birthday party here, was looked after really well.Mocktails, shots of lemonade and lovely pizza.All the kids had a great time on the karaoke and dancing away.Would definitely recommend 👍🏽Kid-friendliness: Kids were catered for really well, treated like little adults.

Andy King: great little venue atmosphere was amazing the bar could do with some improvements
Lee Halliday: Great venue for all different genres of music. Managed to watch Blues Brothers and Elton John tribute in recent months. Both were fantastic.

Martin Camp: I absolutely love this place!!! the music is good the staff are approachable. everyone is friendly, they seem to be making a lot of improvements the the venue the pub and in general the bookings. Some good bands are getting announced and its becoming quite consistent.Definitely get to some of the events coming up if you can.

Nathan “Nate” Smart: Updated review:Change in hands since we last came but still an amazing atmosphere and delicious food.Oysters are still here and delicious as always. Some great garnishs, particularly the Asian one.Food was phenomenal, with amazing flavours and combinations I hadn't had before. The presentation of it all and how it was brought out really brought it all together making it a lovely experience.Staff are very friendly and really show their passion in their food which doesn't feel gimmicky nor overwhelming but adds to a great restaurant experience.We will definitely be coming again. We want to try something else off the menu but I don't know, as I was won over by what we had!
Fiona Marlow: I'd not been here before but wanted somewhere central for a meet up with a couple of friends. I couldn't be more happy with everything. Great cozy atmosphere, really nice decor, our waiter was Ryan and he was just lovely, perfect amount of attentiveness without being too much. The food was gorgeous, we all ordered different things and all were fabulous. Particularly recommend the oysters, scallops and hake. Great night all round, will be back very soon 😊
Susan Leeburn: Wow!!!! Dan and the team, put on an amazing party night for my other half Russell to celebrate his 60th birthday, over 100 guests with a zoned area and we partied all night long!Fab DJ, amazing service from the bar team and nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to Ryan, Toby, Finn and James for keeping our friends glasses topped up and a great job too from the Food Crew who we asked to get involved with feeding our guests with a steady stream of delicious pizzas.It's five stars from us!!!This is our local.... we wouldn't have gone anywhere else because we knew we were in the safest of hands! Cheers to The Royal Oak!!!!

James Richings: Had some brilliant Friday evening beer food… probably the best around! Lamb tikka chops… lovely salad and chutney with it, lamb was perfectly pink. Pork belly ribs with BBQ sauce… plenty of meat, maybe a bit more sauce to dip into given the amount of meat on these beasts. And Halloumi fries with a nice sweet chilli dip. All 3 for £18.95… superb value. Mac and cheese for my daughter was also good. Good job, will be back to try the rest if it!
Geoff Spooner: Great local pub . Wadsworth house with a great selection of well kept ales . Wonderful large character room at rear of lounge with exposed stone walls and balconies. I love it .!Quick update ... had an absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch here , generous helping of succulent lamb and all vegetables cooked to perfection. Highly recommended .

Andrew Long: Independent tap room selling cask and keg beers brewed in their own local brewery. The venue can be described as shabby chic with a lino floor which gives it character. Great selection of beers displayed on a board and screen. I visited just after opening at 4pm on a Friday and it was already busy with a varied clientele. Staff were knowledgeable and toilets were clean. Well worth a visit. I didn't eat so can't comment on food.

Some were a bit snooty, though, but that's life.This 1 roomed micro pub is a must to visit when on devizes toad if uus want to drink great real ales in great surroundings
