Scott Stanford: My daughter had her 9th birthday party here, was looked after really well.Mocktails, shots of lemonade and lovely pizza.All the kids had a great time on the karaoke and dancing away.Would definitely recommend 👍🏽Kid-friendliness: Kids were catered for really well, treated like little adults.

David Bugg: Superb and accommodating service - happy to adapt meals to suit non-meat eaters etc.Nice brunch choice, although would be nice to have an additional sweet option to go with the savoury. Maybe granola, porridge or pancakes.Good, chilled atmosphere and definitely recommend 👍
Amanda Scott: The tables always feel sticky and the paper serviettes are too wet to be of any use once you can get the cutlery out of them.The food is good and the staff very friendly and helpful.Yet again at least one of the toilets was out of order and there is zero accessibility for wheelchair users.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no wheelchair accessible facilities in this pub.The 4 female toilets are very small and often 1or more cubicles are out of order.

James Richings: Had some brilliant Friday evening beer food… probably the best around! Lamb tikka chops… lovely salad and chutney with it, lamb was perfectly pink. Pork belly ribs with BBQ sauce… plenty of meat, maybe a bit more sauce to dip into given the amount of meat on these beasts. And Halloumi fries with a nice sweet chilli dip. All 3 for £18.95… superb value. Mac and cheese for my daughter was also good. Good job, will be back to try the rest if it!
Geoff Spooner: Great local pub . Wadsworth house with a great selection of well kept ales . Wonderful large character room at rear of lounge with exposed stone walls and balconies. I love it .!Quick update ... had an absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch here , generous helping of succulent lamb and all vegetables cooked to perfection. Highly recommended .

We had the platter and it was great, plenty of food and we got to try a lot of different dishes. The manager is so friendly and welcoming we felt instantly comfortable. Would highly recommend and will be going back.

Giovanna Hurst: Waffles were amazingWe came for a roast as a family of 4 adults and 1 Child.Portions were great, really good value for money. Veg was fresh and seasonal. Star of the show was definitely the waffle! Light and airy and toppings were just right.Could not fault the customer service too, they have the perfect level of being there if you need anything but not hovering.Will definitely come back.Kid-friendliness: Provide colouring for children and children's menu is great too.
Jo Jo: Our server Asha is very friendly. We were greeted by her warm and lovely smile when we got there. She also answered our inquiries about the food menu in details. We felt very welcomed. Together with the environment, food and drink menu, clean toilet and ample free parking, this will become our favourite steakhouse. Would definitely love to come again.
Peter Ashcroft: Asked for a booth or side table at booking and this was ready and waiting for us on arrival. Greeted like long lost friends by Asher our incredible waitress who we have been served by many times before. The service was fast efficient, attentive and friendly. The food, we both had the Bistro rump with jacket potato, was cooked just right and was absolutely delicious, all topped off with peppercorn sauce, which came as standard, not at a supplement like other steakhouses. The wine is expensive, probably my only criticism, but the restaurant is comfortable and inviting, and I’ve never felt pressured to drink up and vacate the table, so we tend to buy a bottle and soak up the atmosphere.
Hannah Henley: We had a lovely breakfast on Saturday. My eggs Benedict was lovely, nice and hot on a previous visit it was cold. The English breakfast wasn’t as nicely presented as our previous visit and the bacon and sausages were not as enjoyable as before. But a nice size serving. Ambers customer service was very good and she was very nice so thank you to her for making the experience even better.

Heather Penny-Larter: I had a birthday party here and several people stayed over.From the start, when I made the booking, the staff were friendly and accommodating.On the day, the service was good and the communication was clear and ensured our needs were met. The food was fresh and good.The rooms were clean and well appointed.All in all, highly recommended.The only negative is that the car park is small.
