Swansea Marriott Hotel: what do users think?

Shane McDonald: A nice hotel in an excellent location with great staff. I have to say the room is comfortable and the hotel is very quiet which is a big plus for me. The food in the restaurant is very good. The rooms needed a little attention in the areas of maintenance but nothing major. I have worked in hospitality for over 10 years so I might just be seeing these items. We are returning to this hotel in the next 2 weeks and hopefully it was just a glitch.Nearby activities: Good walks and attractions such as museums nearbyFood & drinks: Excellent food and great staff

K. Peake: This was a fantastic hotel for visiting as a pub, with a large area near the reception for drinks! The design is lush as contributed to by the mock greenery, counter is well-presented too. Lighting is on point and I had a refreshing pint, sitting at the comfortable seating!Service: 5/5 …

The Mirador: what do users think?

Becky: We stayed in the oriental room this time over new years. We just wanted a place to relax. This place was absolutely stunning, beautiful room, location was perfect. The hosts were so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Loved all the little touches like the chocolates on the pillow and the amazing continental breakfast. We can’t wait to stay again. Thank youRooms: Clean, tidy and so well thought outNearby activities: Close to some great restaurants and bars.

Toby Parker: “Fabulous “ !! We were looking for something a bit different and we found it in the The Mirador. Having never stayed in a guest house before, usually staying in one of the main stream hotel chains we thought it might be a bit of a gamble and it was but it was a big win. What a place. With in 10 minutes of booking we received a welcome text explaining how the Mirador works and how to get to our room. The communication with Philip & Jeanette was second to none, humerus messages and nothing was to much trouble, we were arriving in the area about 3 hours before check in and we received a text as soon as our room was ready which was 2 1/2 hours before the allotted time. The room we stayed in was the Egyptian suite , a spacious and very well presented room with amazing decor and amenities. Big smart TV, micro wave, kettle, fridge etc. The fridge contained a fantastic continental breakfast that covered just about everything needed. The bathroom was well equipped with a bath and shower with all of the complementary toiletries required. The Mirador is situated within walking distance of bars and restaurants for all tastes with a discount in certain ones. All in all it puts the mainstream hotels on the back foot and we will definitely be returning when we are in the area.Rooms: Comfortable, well presented and very well equipped.Nearby activities: Plenty to do on the food and drink front and a short trip into Swansea city centre if you fancy the night life.Safety: Easy to follow fire safety instructionsWalkability: A shot walk to plenty of bars and restaurantsNoteworthy details: Great communication, value for money and breakfast included in the price. Rooms are very clean and very well equipped.

Daniel Macfie: Great fun - spent a week trying out 3 different themed of the rooms - Phil and co took really good care of me during my stay, very well located with conveniences within a couple of minutes walk.

Vanessa Pulgarin: Wonderful hosts with everything very well explained from the check-in, breakfast and discounts around the area. The hotel is located in a fun neighbourhood but also in a quiet street so everything around it is enjoyable.Rooms: Great taste in decor. The room was cozy and elegant and fun at the same time, which is hard to achieve.

Isabella Sohrbeck: One of a kind hotel! This bed and breakfast definitely stands out, in a positive way. We stayed in the Egyptian suite on the top floor which was lovely. The fridge was filled with breakfast, there was a tiny bottle of sparkling rosé and chocolates on our pillows. There were a few things that we really enjoyed:1. There were 2 of each amenities which was great. Especially when someone like me with extremely long and thick hair uses almost an entire bottle of shampoo for 1 hair wash2. The amount of towels. It might sound weird but it’s one of those things that’s really nice when staying at a hotel. Especially if you take a shower in the morning and evening, you don’t have to worry about possibly using a damp/wet towelThere are very tiny things I would improve to get that fifth star:1. The water temperature, especially in the shower. Quite often the water was either boiling warm or icy cold2. The bath bombs. Such a great touch with making them available but they didn’t do much to the bath. They kind just dissolved without any bubbles, smell or colorOverall a great stay and a unique place we can definitely recommend!

Roger Strong: , recommended by the Mirador. That was lovely too. Can't wait to go back.Rooms: I think they only have 7 rooms.Noteworthy details: The owners trusted us and were very discreet.

Huw Richards: Spontaneously found this place while looking online. The host couldn't be more welcoming and polite. Only stayed here for 1 night but would definitely stay here again. The room was well kitted out and a complimentary mini bar including snacks.Very good value for money and would highly recommend.

Gavin Chris: We stayed in the French room for a one night stay. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in while away from home, while the room itself was exquisitely decorated. We also had a little terrace although sadly the weather didn't play fair to let us enjoy it ☹️.Breakfast is already in a fridge in your room - expect smoked salmon, cheese, meats, jam, butter as well as croissants and pain au chocolate. Oh, and a bottle of prosecco. We didn't arrive by car, but there is street parking available outside the hotel. Plenty of decent restaurants and bars in the vicinity too.All in all, a great little place far removed from the usual bland chains normally found in such cities.

Phil Lewin: We stayed in the Egyptian suite. Lovely room, with a well stocked fridge. Communication from Phil the proprietor was excellent, even telling us about a discount arrangement at BrewStone, down the road.I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere different to stay.

JeffnDee (Jeffndee): Loved this quirky hotel from the minute we walked in the door. Each room has a different theme. We stayed in the French room, which felt like staying in a French chateau! The bed was beautiful as was the huge mirrored wardrobe. Everything had a real chateau feel to it and we were very impressed with the attention to detail. The bathroom was in the same style with luxury fittings and a fab soaker shower with plenty of hot water. The price included continental breakfast which was lovely. Fresh croissants, smoked salmon, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, jam, marmalade, pain au chocolat, orange juice, tea, coffee. So much more than we expected!Phil, the owner, was lovely and very helpful. He gave us suggestions for places to visit locally as well as restaurants. He went the extra mile by leaving us a bottle of prosecco and glasses as it was our wedding anniversary. Our room had an outside decked area with table and chairs and rattan seating which was perfect for breakfast al fresco and relaxing in the evening with friends. The only minor thing we found was that the kettle and fridge was in an alcove which had a low ceiling. There were hooks on the wall above it which I did bang my head on a couple of times. Maybe remove the hooks? We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Swansea. We had a lovely comfortable stay and the hosts were just lovely with great communication.

Colin Gill: GREAT location, situated in the Uplands with the many classy bars and restaurants in that area. The spectacular decor at the venue and the room added that little bit extra to our experience overnight. Ease with the booking process, simplicity with the checking-in process and such a comfortable night's sleep. We were particular fans of the extra little things our hosts left for their guests in the room. Will definitely be back.

Steve Tuite: Just been for a few days stay at The Mirador Boutique Town House in Swansea, South Wales, which has been run very well for nearly 20 years by Philip and Jeanette. This Town House has six themed rooms so whatever your tastes there is something to cater to your idea of wonderful. Philip and Jeanette have a good knowledge of the local area and can help with local orientation: the area has good bars and restaurants & live entertainment. Theatres and cinemas are within easy reach. Our room at the Mirador, The Venetian Suite; was beautifully furnished, had a large voice activated LED TV, Bose music system, along with a well-stocked fridge full of goodies, there was also a Kettle and Microwave. The en-suite was tastefully put together and the bath was lovely. We had fast reliable and secure Wi-Fi.We had a great time, we drove to Langland Bay and walked from there to Caswell Bay along the cliff walk. We walked back and then drove from there onward to Rhossili where we had a lovely walk down to and along the great beach. There is all this beautiful country within a short drive from the Uplands. In the evening we had a pub meal and watched the sun go down then back to the Mirador and a good night sleep in a very comfy bed. I think this stay away is worth 5 stars any and every day. Goodnight and sleep tight wherever you are.

Manor Park Country House: what do users think?

Robert Thomas: Good prompt service, food ok.

Phil Mac: Lovely food, definitely will be going there again

Tom Hart Photography: I have been fortunate to photograph multiple weddings at the stunning grade 2 listed Manor Park. With its lush grounds that are just made for beautiful couple portraits and group shots. If the weather doesn’t hold out the grand interior with the sweeping staircase and arches make for a luxurious and unique portrait opportunities. The ceremony room is bright with natural light, ceremony images are a breeze to capture. The expansive dance floor and stage always make for some of the best evening receptions I’ve shot with plenty of space to move around and photograph even the wildest of dance offs. The staff are always incredible with all the guests and other wedding vendors, so polite and helpful. The food, especially the evening buffet, always has me skipping my usual post wedding take away. Delicious. All in all one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph.

Premier Inn Swansea Waterfront hotel: what do users think?

Ruth Swaby: Despite being surrounded by scaffolding we still enjoy staying here. We have stayed here many times in the past. We find it an ideal location. The marina is interesting to walk around. We cycle around the bay to visit Verdis. We also use it as a base to go around the Gower visiting the bays.Swansea has altered greatly over the years but is still a great place to visit. We have always found the staff at the Waterfront to be helpful and friendly. There is a secure place to leave electric bikes etc .One warning though, parking around Swansea is not cheap and using the machines can be a right pain if it is dark, raining and the machine instructions not clear.Nearby activities: The marina is interesting to walk around. There are beaches nearby and a long cycle/ promenade around the bay. Many places to eat.On the Gower peninsula there are several stunning beaches to visit. The bus service to these beaches can be patchy so a car is best.Walkability: Walking around the marina is easy. It is also feasible to walk into Swansea itself visiting the shopping centre and market. There are great walks around the coastal path to different bays but these are too far to walk from the Premier inn. A car or bus is needed to get to the starting points.

Clyne Farm Centre: what do users think?

Janet Collins: are perfect for a family and both come well equipped with everything we needed. They were both clean and tidy on arrival and the cutest

Claire Perry: Hired the Atcost Barn for my daughter's birthday party, we booked Air Assault UK to run a nerf gun party, the kids loved it and the parents enjoyed the kids vs adults game.Ideal space for a party, plenty of space for kids to run around, easy to book and plenty of parking. I highly recommend the Atcost barn for birthday party, its a highly versatile space that could suit a variety of parties.

Emily Becht: .They have smart heating and the building is well insulated, ample parking and a friendly and helpful team. I highly recommend staying here!

Kate Fox: We had a wonderful stay again; the warm welcome back, incredible views from Horseshoe Cottage of fields, the bay, horses, sheep, the beautifully spacious, clean and comfortable cottage, and a much appreciated welcome pack. My riding lessons were terrific. The location is perfect for access to the galleries and restaurants of the Mumbles, as well as the great countryside - we had a wonderful day at Rhossili in the bright sunshine. We've booked again!

Stephanie Donaldson: Absolutely brilliant stay at Clyne farm centre. We loved the whole experience, this was a last minute get away due to owning two businesses & Clyne farm could not have been more accommodating. Quick, simple & easy booking! On arrival we were late, but arrived to a cosy, warm welcome! Beautiful welcome package for us & our doggy Ronnie! The cottage was very well equipped, exceptionally clean & had everything we needed including high chair for baby. It’s all of the personal touches that make this place, perfect! The property had neighbouring houses & all of these were quiet by 11:00pm. The views were absolutely incredible whichever way you looked. We were greeted by the staff, who went above & beyond with everything we asked. We loved that all the products were eco, sustainable & local products / companies used. We loved staying here, would highly recommend to anyone travelling in this beautiful area. The location is tucked away, quiet but close enough to explore mumbles, Swansea & Gower peninsula. Clyne farm did not disappoint.I had been here when I was younger with my family & it was as brilliant as I recalled from when I was little! We can’t wait to return, explore, discover more of South Wales & show our son more. As well as participating in some of the activities offered at Clyne Farm including the muddiest assault course!

lindee meredith: Stayed in the old school house with 4 friends. Amazing space and the views were fantastic. Great location for us as we went to Oxwich bay for sauna experience on the beach and into mumbles in the evening. Great location, great place, great host!ThanksLindee

Lucy George: A fantastic stay! The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed. The location is stunning and everyone was so lovely. Highlight was waking up to all the gorgeous horses. Our little cockapoo also had the best time - and loved her little gift and treat!! Very thoughtful and we can’t wait to book again! Thank you for a lovely little break! X

Georgina Sheehan: I stayed at Clyne Farm this summer as part of a hen do, and then was inspired to book it again for a group of friends to do an 'early Christmas' gathering in November. The space is perfect - cosy but roomy - and every room is immaculate. We managed to cater a big roast dinner for 11 people using the kitchen in The Old School Rooms! It's ideal that you can add on more cottages to your booking as you group/family grows, and the farm couln't be more perfect for families and pets!We hope to see you again next year!

Mr Punch: This’ll be our third stay and we loved it as always. We toured the locality this time and there’s some great places a stones throw from Clyne Farm like Mumbles Pier and Caswell Bay.The youngest had a great hack even though the weather did its best to dampen her spirits. We’ll be seeing you again in the future.

Abigail Burch: Love this place, stayed in the Horseshoe. Very comfy beds and beautiful views. Mumbles is thriving, beautiful at all times of the year, and people are so friendly.Rooms: Everything you need and very comfy beds

Jan Cosgrove: We had a lovely, relaxing break. The views are amazing in all . The storm was exciting to watch while being cosy inside. The dogs loved the enclosed garden. The staff are so helpful and smiley.Food & drinks: Check out the Secret bar, dogs inside and right on beach which is dog friendly all year . Make sure you have money/card for parking!!
