Today the Ist XV welcome Taibach RFC to Fairwood Lane in one of the last remaining five games of the season with the away fixture rearranged for Wednesday the 10th day of May. There is the usual 2.30pm kick off, team selection as shown. The SURFs are also at home where they welcome a touring side from over the border Bishops Castle & Onny Valley RFC. Shouldn't have worried as although it's a club it's open to all so it's just like a normal bar, and they were very welcoming. And you definitely won't struggle to find a TV screen to look at!

Ian Greenaway: A great rugby club that offers rugby coaching from mini to adult stages of rugby. Was made to feel very welcome at the club by both parents and coaches. There are 2 rugby pitches with one lit by flood lights for night time training/ games. Pitchside cabin that provides hot snacks and drinks for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

gerald williams: What a little gem of a rugby club. Nice size bar and large lounge. And a large room upstairs. Large car park at the side and a large outside seating area over looking the river. Short walk over the bridge at the back of the club to the playing field. The club can be proud of its history .with plenty of interesting photos on display in the club

Aaron Jones: I've been coming to this clubhouse for many years I've even served as a member of the committee for a short time. But coming here last Friday night the 24th of March to sing with the choir I'm in Cor Meibion Onllwyn during their An Evening with Onllwyn Male Voice Choir we were made very welcome by all of the bar staff who were serving us including the Chair of Abercrave RFC Mr Ian Gwilym who's also in the choir.We was served by the Bar Steward David Hopkins along with his team of highly trained and very attentive bar staff pouring us plenty of beautifully poured pints of Bitter, Guinness and lager etc. I started off on a couple of pints of Worthingtons, but as time went on I fancied a change. So I then moved onto Guinness I tell you what in all the pubs and bars I've been to drinking Guinness over the years across the UK I was absolutely amazed and very impressed by how it was poured. At a 45 degree angle, leaving it to settle half way and then topped up all the way with a lovely creamy contrasting head retention just right well done David and his team for beautifully pouring my pints of Guinness I was one very happy and proud customer service with a smile for a very tasty pint.
