Brynmill Park: what do users think?

Rhiannon Clark: Great park. Quite a lot of rats though.

Tevfik Demiral: One of the most peaceful parks in the Welsh City of Swansea. Brynmill lake was built to supply water to residents.

Jonathan Roberts: One of the best parks in swansea. Park shop is great for ice cream and coffee. They have recently upgraded the children's play area too. Which now includes swings for all ages.

ZAHIR VIRANI: The park is located almost in the centre of Swansea. It has newly built children play area which is very safe for the kids. The park has a huge lake in the centre, with lots of swans, ducks and seagulls. The park is maintained very well with lots of seating arrangements. The grass is also maintained very well. It has got multiple entry from all the sides. You will see lots of kids playing during their vacation and also a lot of families come for a small get-together. It also has a store which offer tea coffee, ice creams, soft drinks, croissants, and many more things. It also has the toilet facilities in the park, it is nice and clean. You will surely breathe a nice and clean air and will also enjoy the walk. Overall it’s a good place to spend time alone or with your family. You will really enjoy your time in the park. Recommend for all age group.Playground: Kids play area is available at one of the entranceRestrooms: Restrooms are clean and easily accessible.Dog-friendliness: It is a dog friendly park. See lots of people for their dog for a stroll.Picnic area: People sit on the grass and the tables to enjoy their food.

ROBERT HOPKINS: I always love visiting Brynmill Park. It was somewhere my parents used to take me when I was little and now I get the chance to take my 2 year old grand daughter there. She loves feeding the ducks and playing in the playground as well as generally just running around in the open spaces. The Kiosk by the lake sell a fab range of food and drinks at reasonable prices and you can even buy bird food for the ducks, swans and pigeons.

Tim Smith: A wonderful shady oasis, with it's large reservoir/lake and a large green space and safe playground for younger visitors.Mature trees to walk through and a refreshment cabin - we had fresh cups of tea and shared an oatmeal bar, whilst we fed the pigeons and enjoyed our rest in the sunshine...now with a brilliant new enclosed play area, new slides and everything, for the children to enjoy.Playground: Has a popular, enclosed play area. Swings and all the usual stuff. Also a basketball, single hoop court adjacent to it. Wonderful grassy expanse in front of the playground, ideL for picnics...Dog-friendliness: One of Zoey the dogs favourite walks - round the pond, through the shady trees and back up the hill to home and her basket...

Ben Holloway: Nice park with a good sized and relatively new childrens play areaPlayground: Good sized play area for a range of ages

Danni Franks: Great views and amazing volunteers!

mike craddock: A Great place to visit, good history and views

Alan Parkinson: Got some carbon reducing trees, from some lovely people, who look after the area.

However it's stunning now, the park has had huge improvements, more encouraging for parents and toddlers, then there's a play area more suitable for older children outside of that which was never there. The basketball court has been improved and the bowls area is now a cafe! Would recommend, the staff are voluntary and work really hard. Nice area to sit at. Theres a training area just across from the court which is fun, and there's also a really nice flower section by one of the entrances.Honestly it's worth the time if you're looking for a walkPlayground: As mentionedDog-friendliness: Massive space for dogs to run freePicnic area: Endless space to have a picnic

It's Me (Exarcaris): Lovely park with a range of play park equipment as well as the exercise machines. Plenty of space for ball games, they have a basketball court but there is also lots of space on the grass for games and dog walking. They added some bigger play park items since I went a few years ago, which all were fun!Playground: Good variety of stuff in the play park. They have loads for little kids and seem to have added some good bits for the older kids.Dog-friendliness: Plenty of space for dog walking and there was many there when I visited.

Craig-y-Nos Country Park: what do users think?

Phil Jones: Nice place for a walk but the lack of bins around the duck pond, so someone feed the ducks and left there 2 empty duck food bags on the stone after feeding the ducks only bin seen was the duck food bin where u pick up the bags from. I took the rubbish home and carried my walk on enjoying the area.

Parise Levesque: I went to Craig Y Nos to walk through the parks with the dogs. Highly recommend this location for anyone with mobility issues - they have a nice level tarmac path that is about a 20 min circular route. The park was clean and well managed. The parking is paid but you can use card for payment. The cafe is dog friendly. The setting and ambience is really something special. I'm not surprised so many people choose to get married there. I will definitely be adding this to my regular spots to go on adventures with the dogs.Restrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Very dog friendly

Al mathias: Beautiful place to walk and unwind

Vijay: Amazing park with two lakes in between the peaks. A nice trail to walk along the canal. Parking was about 2 gbp for 2 hours. Easy to access from the main road.Restrooms: Clean and free

Lovely food in the cafe & plenty of EV chargers at a competitive price.Restrooms: Clean and tidy.Dog-friendliness: Lots of walks for the dogs & dog friendly café too.Picnic area: Lots of picnic tables dotted around the grounds for you to use.

DARREN JOYCE: Lovely little spot for a ramble with the dogs. Code and coffee at the cafe after to warm up & dry out.

Paul H: Kept an appointment with Bob Grainger Photography adjacent to the car park. Didn't visit the actual park because of inclement weather although would certainly do so in kinder weather. Great difficulty working the car park ticket machine which advertises cash, card or contactless.

Parc Singleton Park: what do users think?

Lisa McKnight: Major park literally on the outskirts of central Swansea. Loads of locals and dog walkers go here for walks and to chill out, plus there are a variety of specific gardens in the park such as the Oriental gardens and the botanical gardens. You can very easily spend a day here in good weather bird and wildlife watching ☺️Playground: There is no playground as the entire place is gardens and woods.Restrooms: There are public toilets in the middle of the park by the Swiss cottage.Dog-friendliness: Loads of people take their dogs for a walk here.Picnic area: There are numerous areas where you could have a picnic.

Rowan Thompson: Beautiful walk, lovely botanic gardens

robin benton: A lovely sprawling park set between sketch and the seafront. Backed onto by the singleton university campus.Hosts events throughout the year. Cross country runs, gigs, proms in the park, pop up food big top.And dogs love it here.Dog-friendliness: Great dog walking.

Paul Preedy: A beautiful building but a terrible shame the parks department has done nothing with it for years and years .

Philip “Phil” England: A gem in Swansea, even this time of the year

CHAWAN MUHAMMED: Amazing place to visit and see all types of wild plant ❤️❤️

Carol Frimston: This is an ever-changing Park full of nature, no better place to walk with your thoughtsPlayground: No play facilities, need to go to Brynmill which is the park next doorRestrooms: Toilets could do with an upgradeDog-friendliness: Dogs very welcome except in the flower gardensPicnic area: You can picnic anywhere within this park, plenty of seats but no tables

Phil Mac: A great place to take a walk or walk your dog

Edward Kempton: Beautiful park that boasts an amazing botanical garden with a wide array of interesting plants

Evan Morgan: Absolutely lovely park, nice and open with plenty of nature to boot and plenty of room to explore, sit and relax. Not to mention for bird watching! Many interesting birds from Ravens to Thrush! The only problem is during/following downfall there can be some areas which become pooled with water due to insufficient drainage methodsDog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs around, just be careful as many owners have off-lead dogs.Picnic area: Whenever the weather decides to be kind it’s a lovely idea! Just beware of roaming dogs!

Simon Cooper: Swansea has no substantial inner city green spaces, however Parc Singleton, on the South Western edge, is a wonderfully peaceful park, with a mix of mature trees, botanical features, and rewilded areas. The university campus is set into the park, on its southern edge, otherwise it is bounded by urban dual carriageways, and busy roads. You really aren’t aware of this when in the heart of the park.

Nicky Thomas: Lovely Central Park on Swansea with plenty of open land for dogs and children to run about. Excellent well maintained footpaths through acres of lush trees. Home to a hidden treasure, the botanical gardens within Swansea. Well worth a visit.

Katie Waters: Great park for a Sunday walk, the dog loves it as she had loads of space to run free which is great as we have a very small garden. Other dog owners were very good with their dogs and very one kept safe and sensible. There is also great views for the humans to enjoy during a walkDog-friendliness: very much a place to bring the dog

Greenways of Gower: what do users think?

SL GL: Lovely campsite with good facilities.

Zoë Rule: What a phenomenal Camping/Caravan park. The fantastically kind annd helpful management, immaculate site, actually flat pitches, lovely views and super clean facilities were huge selling points and reasons to bring the family back again soon. But our favourite bit; this stunning walk from the campsite that visits a castle, takes you out across the headland through fields of baby lambs. There’s a lot to be said for being able to walk to the beach, and again this is easy.Greenways is very hard to beat and we will be coming back very soon.

Ashley F.: Location: 5/5

Andrew Blandford: Camped for one night great clean fields security on site only issue we had was kids roaming around pitches late at nightLocation: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …

David Bowden: . There were outdoor showers and drinking water areas. There was also a very well laid out area for washing up your dishes etc and 2 industrial washing machines. Plenty of bins for rubbish. In the evening there is an old double decker bus owned and run by the Gower dough company where they make fresh pizzas. I didn’t try one as id done a bbq, but everyone said they were stunning, which they certainly looked!! There is also a horse box bar, which both looked beautifully lit up at night. Drinks were reasonably priced with a £2 deposit taken for the cups, which was given back when you returned them at the end of the night. When it got dark, there was an outdoor cinema screen showing a kids film which was a brilliant touch. The local shop which is a small store, chip shop, ice cream stall have a limited but good enough range for campers to get hold of what’s needed. The chips were delicious too! The walk down to the shops from campsite is fairly steep and single car width so if you do have walking issues, then maybe take the car!? The local beach is beautiful but if you choose to park the car at the beach car park

Becky Jade: Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly, Great value

Jonathan Jennings: Very clean and has great facilities thoroughly impressed. Bit of a steep hill climb to and from the beach but can't help that. Also had a few quiet areas which we stayed in and was very useful.Walkability: Short walk to the beach but it is quite steep.

Hannah: We came over from bristol to camp for the night this weekend and it was really very goodFelt safe and secure with the barrier at the front.Very well maintained grass and surrounding areas, all showers and toilets cleanReally nice cold outside showers to cool off after the beach and that walk up from it! And the inside showers really powerful and hot! Will definitely be back thank you

Sophie Reardon: Our second stay as a family at Greenways of the Gower, once again we were very pleased. It’s a great site in a lovely location. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Security are regularly doing the rounds and are happy to answer any questions. They have a great park which the kids loved. The toilets/shower block was always spotless. There is also a laundry room with washers and dryers and sinks for washing up.We will definitely be back soon!
