THE ANCHOR SWANSEA MARINA: what do users think?

kirsty reynolds: and the chips like old style home cooked chips. I don’t eat fish but my friends ordered the fish cake and said it was out of this world!!! Would recommend to everyone I know and anyone reading this review!

Faruk Mutlu: Our visit to The Anchor was an absolute delight! They serve some incredible Italian meals that left our group of university students thoroughly impressed. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly by the staff, especially by the gentleman named Huseyin, whose hospitality enhanced our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, providing the perfect setting for enjoying a delicious meal with friends. We felt right at home amidst the inviting atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply divine! The Italian dishes we tried were prepared with precision and bursting with authentic flavors. Each bite was a culinary journey to Italy, leaving us craving for more.Huseyin's attentiveness and knowledge about the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. His friendly demeanor and excellent service truly made us feel valued as guests.Overall, our experience at this restaurant exceeded all expectations. The quality of the Italian meals served here is exceptional. If you're in Swansea and craving some delicious Italian fare, be sure to visit this hidden gem. A big thank you to Huseyin and the entire staff for a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back for more!

Jessica BACQUET: "Hey! Bonjourno!"I was walking quietly in the Swansea marina when a gentleman, whose Italian origins I doubt but with a lilting accent, unusual during my stay in Wales, called out to me!Someone takes me out of my reverie and kindly offers me a piece of pizza! A pizza ?! In a marina??? sacrilege I tell myself! Then, here I am, continuing on my way to stop a few meters further on to wait for my husband and put my Pomeranians in the shade... 27° on September 5th here, it's incredible! The gentleman, who I imagine to be the owner of the Anchor Swansea marina, interjects me again to offer me and my canines some refreshment, an offer which I very politely decline. The long-awaited husband finally returns from the parking lot and finally, this little restaurant on the edge of the marina, in the shade and calm, whose frontage doesn't look like much but with a friendly manager, tempts us well 👍 and it must be said that There are not only pizzas on the menu but also fish and chips! This is the typical dish we were looking for 😁 and with the price of this very local dish on average £3 cheaper than elsewhere, I want to say: “let’s go for it!” Out of curiosity, we still let ourselves be tempted by a pizza, in addition to fish 😋 the conclusion? For the pizza, no big surprises, a vegetarian one with a dough that is neither too thick nor too thin, a tasty mozzarella and above all fresh vegetables!!! And not frozen, waterlogged horrors 😱 for fish and chips: perfecto! Hearty, with taste and always the freshness of the ingredients including a generous and fragrant fish... In short, nothing to complain about except that if you are looking for a place without pretension or hassle to eat simply, go there eyes closed.

Lisa McKnight: Local cafe in swansea Marina that is used by locals and tourists. Not the cheapest place but that's a given due to the location and service is great.Wheelchair accessibility: The marina is generally wheelchair friendly and the Anchor is level access including the toilets.

Milanos restaurant swansea: what do users think?

Sue Bowden: My friend likes this place more than me. She enjoys their breakfasts, but I find the meat products too overcooked for my taste. I had the chicken curry and rice today, which was very watery and looked like it came from a packet. If you like a well-cooked breakfast you will enjoy it here. The staff are very nice and it is very popular with shoppers

Alun Davies: on the next.Kid-friendliness: Good menu for kids all the usual nice sized portion favourites with a little drink included. Best still & a very nice touch adults with a smaller appetite could also order the same kids meals

Chris Walters: Great friendly staff and the owner is always a pleasure to see, their food is also exceptional!Their Italian coffee is also worth a try 👌Make sure to visit here and their other aCafe in Morriston you won’t be disappointed.5 stars well deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kid-friendliness: Always pleasant and welcomingWheelchair accessibility: All flat surface no issues

Arron Coles: Best breakfast and omeletes in Swansea, I try to go there every Friday. The staff are fantastic and the resturante is very clean..

Hazel Evans: Very friendly service good food reasonably priced

Colin Richards: Best breakfast in Swansea. Spotlessly clean and brilliant service.

Asher Fisher: within 3-5 mins of ordering and it was delicious! All menu items are really affordable and worth every penny. Cannot fault how hard the staff work here and how they create such a lovely and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Adrian Williams: Popped in for coffees, whilst in Swansea shopping, always a friendly smile & welcome here

Francos: what do users think?

Andrew “Andy” Liney: it was everything a full English breakfast is expected to be from a traditional cafe. The complimentary cuppa goes a long way too, as many places charge extra for this lately. My only suggestion, I didn't see fried bread on the menu which isn't something I go for, but my friend who usually goes for breakfast with me will always ask for it

Old Havana Cuban Bar & Restaurant: what do users think?

Sara Locke: went to juniper Palace for a pre show lunch and drink wonderful service lovely food

Murray Henderson: I had a couple of drinks and my daughter had dirty fries. Overall it was nice but I'm not overly tempted to go back, think it's aimed at a younger generation.

Nikki52453: The tapas is to die for. the four of us decided to try lot's of different things, ten dishes altogether.... Everything was beautifully cooked and arrived at the same time, we didn't taste a dish we didn't like. Lovely friendly staff tooWell worth a lunchtime visit

Bar Saint James: what do users think?

J Jackson: We came here as our usual drinking hole was so busy. We much preferred this bar. With lots of interesting drinking areas inside and a lovely beer garden outside, we spent a lovely evening in a pleasant and safe environment. The bar girl was extremely helpful and supplied me with what is now one of my favourite wines, Pinot Noir. We were a little cold as one or two of the overhead infra-red heaters weren't working, but this didn't spoil a perfect evening.

Sam's Restaurant & Coffee Shop: what do users think?

Sylwia Hukowska: the vegan and english breakfast was good, coffee was great, dog friendly outdoor area only , nice serviceVegetarian options: Breakfast vegetable

M Wyn Davies: Sadly I had the same experience yesterday as I had in Francos. It is understandable a business has to be run and yesterday was very busy. As someone waiting on my own for a friend to come along I was asked to move to another table which is fine . My friend then eventually arrived and then the waitress asked me to move bank to the original table as there were two of us. It is embarrassing and I must find a cafe that caters for me waiting. My friend is elderly and her mobility is not too good so I'm very limited. I would prefer to go to Burger King where if you're on your own you don't get moved.Sadly my last visit to Sam's and I will have to inform my friend of this

Jessica Shaw: Service is fastFood is deliciousKid-friendliness: Staff are very friendly with kids

Stuart Chaves: Best cafe in Swansea, all home made food and very nice and welcoming atmosphere.Recommended dishes Bacon Egg & Chips Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings Not sure …

colin matley: Very busy cafe, popular with the locals, great all day breakfast. Only accepts cash though

karl court: I don't go out usually but my brother brought me here yesterday and it was lovely, thank you. XXX.

Leah Mcknight: Nipped into here yesterday with my 1 year old, the place was closing up but still welcomed me in, I ordered a slice of toast for a moody little one and didn’t realise it was cash only which I had none on me.The lovely lady there reassured me it was okay and allowed me the toast for free which really made my day, all the staff there were super nice to us and I will definitely be going back. With cash this time!A small act of kindness that changed my days outlook totally, lovely to see people are still kind these days.

Danielle Williams: I come with my children at lest once a week and nothing is ever too much for the girls truly amazing place lovely atmosphere I would never go anywhere elseKid-friendliness: Amazing with the kids

Sue Bowden: Been here many times. This time I chose ham omelette and chips. I wasn't really happy with this but it's not the fault of the cafe. They use chunky chips which I find too dry and the omelette was huge and full of ham but, to my taste, was very overcooked and consequently also very dry. I smothered the chips in vinegar and sauce but it made no difference, likewise the omelette. I ended up giving half of my meal to my friend. The most enjoyable bit was the side salad. I won't order that again. My friend had bacon, egg, sausage and chips and enjoyed it
