Swansea Marriott Hotel: what do users think?
Yasin Zaka: The best thing about this hotel is its location, right on the beach and walking distance to city centreThe hotel itself though is very basic and a bit tired , really no better than a Premier Inn which is half the price.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Mark Haselgrove: Good location, right next to the beach, but the "deluxe" room was poor.I had no hot water at all on the first morning, this was fixed for the next morning, but resulted in only hot water running out of the tap on my sink (which had mould growing around it). TV service didn't work for the entirety of my stay.Breakfast was exactly as would be expected.
Matty Sharpe: Welcoming staff provided an informative service and breakfast was great. The Location was also very good. But yet again we see a so called 4 star without any of the basics, No coffee machine, no robe, no slippers no fridge/ mini bar. No way of opening the window. No obvious bedside charging. Woke up in a breathless panic after the most disgusting nights sleep ever. No ventilation in the rooms is a major issue and a noise constantly all night that sounded like a truck engine running somewhere close to the room.I have cancelled my next planned stay and rebooked with the Premier Inn. The Marriott is a basic 3 star not a 4 don’t be fooled. The staff were super in their defence. Won’t return though.
david shaw: Good size, comfortable rooms. Excellent friendly welcomeRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nick Griffiths: Lovely hotel. Clean rooms and good service.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
conseption clothing: Decent rooms and good location but very poor service and incredibly unfriendly staff. Even tried to scam us and make us pay a higher price.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Phillip Restall: The staff make this place, today Tyler on the bar, chatty friendly and welcomingRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Great value …More
Mirko Malisan: Reasonably good value in a really great location. Parking is extra but only £5 a day. Enjoyed the breakfast and had a really good meal in the restaurant one evening. Was in a refurbished room on the top floor with great view of the Marina. Beds were very comfortable, the perfect firmness level for me which is medium. Overall service was professional and friendly but on arrival day the person behind reception was very unfriendly.
Corrado Redaelli: Per il momento tutto ok ... Posizione per noi congeniale. E camere davvero belle e ben pulite.

Kim Morris: We had a lovely stay here, beautiful views out of the window where you could see the marina and some of the beach, staff are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really tasty, will definitely go back .Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
sam hipkiss: Weirdly racist staff member in reception that upon being told I had just returned from India remarked "its amazing how the women get their clothes so clean when they wash them in a river". Continued to remark that my flat being flooded must have been my fault without any information. Bewildering comments when you are simply trying to get a room for the night. Slow service in checking in and checking out, standard rooms, no shaving foam offered (only razors) and the reception seemed annoyed by the inquiry. I would not recommend, not worth the price at all. Breakfast buffet was the highlight but the rooms are nothing special. Internet enabled smart TVs but none of the online services work because the network has not been set up correctly. Dolphin hotel is almost £100 per night cheaper and the rooms are to the same standard. I have recently stayed in a Marriott in Glasgow and Swansea is no where close to the service and rooms offered there, a blight on the Marriott brand.

Gerard Turley: Nice hotel and location. Only downside is parking which is not the hotel’s fault. Nearest car park is council and they charge an extra £3.50 after 21:00 as overnight but makes late stay at event expensive, although there is on street parking a short walk away.Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Michelle Dower: Best Sunday lunch and lovely staff very welcoming and friendly

Excellent value and great variety of food and drinks on offer - Breakfast was delicious, I am so amazed that the staff were amazing and went above and beyond - communication was superb too, Hotel Decor was Stunning & Cleanliness was Faultless and smelt so fresh and location is perfect. NiaC90: Booked for fathers day Sunday lunch and the food was outstanding, loved the concept of a sharing board! The service we had was really great, everyone was rushed off their feet for such a busy day, but we felt very welcomed and appreciated all the hard work they were all doing! They allow you to take leftovers home too, which is a bonus! Looking forward to coming back again.

Susan Wynne: A lovely hotel, right opposite Swansea Station. An excellent base for visiting Swansea and the Gower Peninsula. We spent 4 days and wished we had longer. Staff are smiley and informative. Rooms were delightful. Plenty of tea and coffee. Air-con was a blessing! Breakfast, although pricey (£14.99) was amazing and a vast choice. Definitely recommend.Walkability: Swansea Marina is a 10 minute walk away and you can easily spend a day exploring the locks, weir and the vast Marina. At the pier you can begin part of the Gower peninsula walk. We walked from pier to The Mumbles pier, around 7 miles and bussed back. Excellent bus service, even on bank holiday!
JS S: We stayed here at the end of a short break in Swansea, and unfortunately we didn’t have a great visit. The room we stayed in was particularly small, not quite the ‘spacious’ room advertised online. The room was however modern and the shower was powerful which is always a good start.Unfortunately, it only went down hill from there. The air conditioning in the bedroom was extremely noisy and rattly and didn’t seem to work at all. After being out for the evening, we came back to a very hot room.Unfortunately the windows barely opened and the only alternative offered was a very dusty tower fan. After an awful nights stay we checked out early, and despite bringing the issues to the attention of the night staff; the morning staff on reception seemed less than bothered - very poor when your spending £115 a night. The reviews online were very good, but these mainly reflect their restaurant area, and not the hotel facilities - beware!Rooms: The double rooms are particularly small - would be cramped for a couple of staying for more than one night.Noteworthy details: In close proximity to the train station. No on site parking, cost £14.50 for parking from 3pm till 10am.
Harish Sharma: Fabulous room and the furniture was awesomeRooms: Rooms are spacious and awesome, housekeeping person come on daily basis.Nearby activities: Swansea train station is 100 ft away from this hotel and the Tesco express and the ATM are nearby on walking distance onlyFood & drinks: Breakfast was delicious specially hashbrowns
darren loye: Only had breakfast there before our train £8 six of us eat but only 3 of us enjoyed, they didn't have any cockles and larver bread even though they advertise it,some of our party though the food could be hotter.Service: 5/5 …More
Noname Cosplay: Great base to the city. Wonderful staff and beautiful rooms.Food & drinks: Included a fantastic breakfast. Really set us up for the day. Everything was perfectly cooked and really tastyRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Sarah Aslam: It's good it's nice
Derek Pheasey: Absolutely filthyDisgusting.Having prepaid, we checked in, and within 10 minutes I told the manager that I was checking out and that I would happily sleep in my car for the night rather than stay here.Pics of the carpet ....
Shihab Shah: Pros: Nice location, everything nearby including shops and restaurants. 15 mnts walking to the beach. Great staffs, welcoming receptionists and superb housekeepers.Cons: Tiny room, weird smell in the towels, smallest lift I've ever seen in my life and room rent is higher
Sue Meadows: Very enjoyable stay, Comfortable and clean. Very nice friendly staffCentral to train station and shops.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
A U: The rooms were very clean, staff were very attentive and friendly, and the location is great. Everything is within walking distance.Bad bitsQuite a big hotel with 2 tiny elevators that can't fit more than 4 people, 1 was out of order, which meant the constant waiting for the lift was annoying and time-consuming.Secondly, the parking is absolutely attrocious, barely 50 car parking for such a big hotel. I found myself driving for a while to find parking on local roads because the car park was full, and most of the roads were permit holders only.Lastly, there are no sockets on either side of the bed...maybe thats just me nitpickingNevertheless, I understand it's an old building, putting in new lifts isn't feasable, and usually, both lifts would be working. My 3 stars are purely only because of parking and the lifts. Aside from that, everything else was great.Rooms: Very clean spacious roomsWalkability: Everything is within walking distance
Michael Keetch: Very presentable and felt relaxed. The food is very good too.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Marcelo Delgado: Needs a renovation asap. The breakfast is a great buffet. The shower is amazing. The room smelled like worn socks.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Duval Stroud: Small menu no fish and chips takes a long time to get your orderNearby activities: Market and shopsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Vic: Avoid restaurant attached to the hotel. Food microwaved, half cold. Pint was flat. Person serving did not charge for flat pint and cold food which is fair.Rooms: Need some refurbishment but ok.Nearby activities: Close to town centreFood & drinks: Avoid
Stewart Goldring: Building needs a refurb and decoration needs upgrading. Breakfast was of very average quality. As a disabled person I was very worried that one of the 2 lifts were out of order. The staff however were courteous and helpful.Rooms: Some concerns. The windows were sealed shut and I couldnt operate the Air conditioner.
Pete Wakefield - Stay Hungry Coaching: Spacious rooms l, good bathroom in room, nice sofa but alot of marks on carpets, small damage to lots of furniture etc. If your travelling for work then fine but if having a shirt trip away I'd want better for the costRooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Brisha: I cannot recommend this hotel. My room was filthy and I had to ask them to clean it.The breakfast was poor with food hygiene rating of one out of five. The temperature in the bedroom at night was stuffy and hot. This hotel needs a complete refurb.
Aryamary Jacob: Not sure why the ratings are less in other platform but the location and rooms are pretty good for the price. Need to improve more options for breakfastRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
Mary: Really lovely room and spacious bathroom. Majority of the view was pretty and would definitely go againWalkability: Really close to the main town and no more than a 5 minute walk to get there!
Claudiu Francisc Halasz: The Dragon hotel it's a place of Dream. I slept like in my own house. And I spent wonderful days . Excellent and very affordable.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Premier Inn Swansea Waterfront hotel: what do users think?
Stuart Baxter: Visited here 6 times over the last 8 or 9 months. Great stuff I even asked for a view over the harbour this time and got it too. Thanks 👍Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More

James Lawrence: The hotel is OK and only a few minutes' walk from the city centre, but the problem is parking. The car park belongs to an outfit called Excel Parking Services, who are a nasty bunch of twisters. The ticket machine was out of order (and anyway only accepts pound coins, which for a min. fee of £6 is a nuisance). The hotel receptionist told me to download 'RingGo', but despite several attempts, this did not work. When I returned to the car a little later, it already had a ticket, timed at 9:15pm.I returned to the car early in the morning, having finally downloaded RingGo and paid, to find a second ticket, timed at 5:15am. These surely are ruthless SOBs!I appealed, with photos to support, but of course this was rejected. I doubt they have even once upheld an appeal. So the hotel room went from about £43 for the night to £183. I wish I had stayed at a much classier hotel.Premier Inns need to sort this. They are losing business and goodwill.Noteworthy details: The Premier Inn could have been more informative and helpful about the hazards of parking there. I will not stay there again.
David Hatch: Enjoy staying at this Premier Inn. All as usually expected. Provide good level of service with an onside Beefeater restaurant, which is excellent. There are several disabled access rooms with wet room etc, and the lifts work well, including separate moving floor lift to the restaurant. Parking is not free! The Premier Inn do not own the land either side of the hotel, and so you have to pay for parking on your mobile. Not expensive, some £6+ for 24 hours. Could do with a bigger screen TV in the room, but otherwise, all good.
Anil Aphale: Lots of work being done will be nice when its finished.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 2/5 …More
David Stewart: Wonderful comfortableRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Philip Lawson: Great places with plenty of parking.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Gavin Chapman: There is no hotel car park but there is a cheap car park next door that you can pay for via an App. Checking in felt very racist… I was asked to sign a piece of paper and write my nationality. My colleague was asked the same (he is Polish) and based on his answer was asked to produce ID. The explanation didn’t seem sufficient and let us feeling violated. The room for the price was not great. The TV was about 20”s and the view from the room was scaffolding. The area around the hotel is beautiful and there is some nice places to eat and drink.
Rudi Lowry: Ready for a bit of tlc but overall no complai nts.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Anthony Thomas: Have used this restaurant before as have always enjoyed the medals. Went with my wife and another couple for a meal and weren't disappointed. Excellent value for money and staff are always friendly and helpful.Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nthabiseng Thandeka Mlala: Great place to stay in Swansea, quiet during my visit, very helpful staff but the WiFi is mediocre at best and one has to pay for Premium WiFi which is not much better. I hope they finish the construction soon so that one can actually see the Waterfront. I’d return were it not for the WiFi.
Kelly Moses: Usual good standard of rooms and cleanliness. A few areas in need of a little attention but nothing serious.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Wigan Fan: Decent enough, usual Premier Inn crack, lovely views from my waterfront room, air con was working but not as good as it should have been, was disappointed at size and sound quality of tv that was attached to the wardrobe cabinet thingy, also a very poor selection of tv channels which was made worse by the tv guide not working.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
