Alongside all of our class genres, all pupils at the Swansea Ballet School are required to attend a minimum of one Ballet class per week. This provides the core, discipline and most importantly, the technique to execute other dance styles with precision.

Having this policy has allowed so many of our students to gain career successes, This together with our dance examination results clearly demonstrate that what we deliver is not only enjoyable, but also creates 'real dancers'.

A busy timetable of classes is available for pupils aged 3 - Adult, with opportunities for students to take part in our annual theatre performance.

4worldlovers: MTA was established in 2012 by Louise Mellin, who took over what was formally 'The Grand Theatre School of Dance' established by Wendy Weaver in 1986 and then taken over by Andrea Jones 2008-2012.

'Miss Louise' trained at the Grand Theatre School of dance herself before being awarded a scholarship to train at the prestigious Tring Park School of Performing Arts.

MTA believes in giving all children and students the grounding and experience of a real theatre school by holding performances on the Grand Theatre stage as well as performing around Swansea in such events as The Christmas Parade, The Wales National Air show, the St David’s Day celebrations and performing for Catherine Zeta-Jones in 2019. The school also offers students the experience to perform in professional shows such as Qdos Pantomimes Ltd (Swansea Grand Theatre), Joseph (Cardiff Wales Millenium Centre) and Gangsta Grannie (Swansea Grand Theatre).
