Sunderland Ice Rink: what do users think?
Mad B: We have had very nice time.
Eva-Lilly Hodgson: A ginger man just told me and my friend to slit our wrists. We did nothing wrong to this man he was staring at us while we were ice skating then told us to slit our wrists. I couldn't get a clear photo.

Whitley Bay Ice Rink: what do users think?
Ross Jory: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended NoMore
Chris C: Terrible attitude and service !!!!!!!!!!!! 0 stars we visited for a family birthday and had 8yo twins one with autism. one twin was allowed to use a frame one wasn't (because they where a tiny bit taller) even though they have never been before. We spent the full session sat at the side because even when the taller twin had a go they where told they where not allowed to use it. What a waste of two hours and we won't be back. The woman on reception was abrupt and rude.P.s feedback would be welcomed !!!!!!!!
john purvis: Very dated ice rink hasn't changed since I was a kid needs updating. Roof leaking etc .
Crozza: I'm a regular visitor here, when the Warriors have a home game and my shifts allow me to attend. Get wrapped up if you're a spectator, because it's cold (obviously or the ice would melt) but otherwise the food is cheap and cheerful. A hot chocolate warms me up and I'm sure the bar area has heating, but being a driver to the games, I am unable to partake in sampling the alcoholic drinks in the bar area. Hopefully, I can get a chauffer one day 😁
Najihah Azman: this place charged me overprice, it supposedly only 8 pound, but it turns out 11 pound when i checked it on my card transaction. I dont really understand, can someone explain this?
nags world: Need a bit of an update as its looking about rough around the edges. Still a good fun afternoon tho
David Holdsworth: Went to watch my niece's 10th birthday party and it's barely changed since I went there as a kid in the 80s. It's tatty with terrible customer service but there wasn't a skater out there without a smile on their face. Whitley Bay is incredibly lucky to have this excellent facility which remains reasonably priced and clearly focused on nurturing the next generation of skaters rather than providing a fancy building.
Axel Storm: Brought my daughter 45 minutes to experience a dirty run down ice rink wow clean the place up smile when taking people's money buy some new equipment really no excuse for it to be this poorly presented
John Colins: What a dump don't waste your money most of the ice rink was taken up with private lessons at least 70 percent of the ice during a public 2 hr session will not be coming back
Michael Hodgson4xd2rw: Really run down dirty lessons on during public sessions so very limited rink space and hire skates wow rusty blades impossible to skate on and they aren't allowed to sharpen them ok at least clean them can't use hockey blades yet the hires are exactly that so forced to use the hire blades other users have sharpened figure skates on really can't see the the logic in that I wouldn't recommend using this facility at Darlington it's a much better rink
Darren: Watched an ice hockey match tonight. Marvellous place and we won. And the hot dog was massive.
Nick Mackley: Brought my 14 and 13 year old daughters for the Sunday morning session and they had fun, hence my 2 stars. However; I’m a skater and have been for over 40 years, and I couldn’t skate (safely) using the rented skates! I have my own hockey skates, but hockey skates are not allowed in the Sunday morning session. The rented skates were completely blunt, and when I pointed it out, I was told it is for health and safety reasons. I didn’t feel safe on the blunt skates so sat out the session. As you may expect, refreshments are overly priced and the place is in DESPERATE NEED of renovation. Had I felt happy to skate I could have overlooked that fact, but there’s no excuse. There were plenty of skaters, so the money is coming in. Please spend some of it in making it a nicer place to be.
Juliana Hill: falling apart, worst tink in the league.
navyashree S prasad: Wonderful experience! Worth going there..❤️
Nadia: Great fun every time! The coffee shop inside though…. They think we are in Switzerland :))) so expensive!
Christina Cawthorne: Busy place and a little old but worth it and super reasonably priced.
Steven Dickinson: Good Fun
Christopher Rouse: I don't know if Whitley Bay is a good or a bad ice rink, but me and family had a good time.
Harry “Planehazza” Marshall: Great fun place for skating. £7 for a 2 hour session is good value. Ignore the comments about not being allowed your own skates: it's fabricated nonsense. Of course you can take your own and the prices reflect this.
Claire: The hire skates could do with a sharpening but overall it was a good experience. Kids enjoyed it.
Glen: Too busy , long wait to get in then couldn't get moved on the ice due to over crowding , also toilets were disgusting, never again .
