A G: Had a Great time there and the beer is really cheap 👍👍🍺🍺
Lisa Larcombe: Came here to celebrate some friend's wedding so only used the function room upstairs. Decor a bit dated, none of the toilet doors in the ladies had a working lock and also quickly ran out of loo roll which never got replenished. Websters Ropery: what do users think?
Jill Borsberry: We had the most beautiful wedding at Websters Ropery and couldn't fault the team of people running it all! Fully recommend for your special day :)
Damian Bloomfield: Myself and my Wife Natalie were married at Websters Ropery, I have to say that this venue is outstanding, the team that works here are without a doubt the best hosts you could ever ask for. From the Planning and lead up where Lauren was great, listening and helping my wife coordinate her plans, to the staff working the day who made sure that we had everything we needed to have our perfect day. Always attentive, always checking in that we were enjoying the occasion and just a friendly and welcoming group of people.Sean, the Co-owner and our host put so much effort in executing what my wife envisioned for her day, from welcoming us in the morning to seeing us through the evening when we let our hair down he made sure that we had everything we needed, we can't thank him enough.Tim, The other Co-owner and brother of Sean worked tirelessly in the kitchen and we have to say with the inclusion of our guests too that the food was phenomenal, the belly pork starter being a stand out dish. The brothers have really cracked what it is to host a wedding to remember and we can't sing theirs or the staff's praises enough.Thank you so much for giving us the day we always hoped for and we wish you all the success you deserve, I urge anyone looking at this venue to do so with the confidence that they will do everything in their power to make sure you have your perfect day!

Ethan our Master of ceremony you smashed it you should be so so proud of your self
Jeanette Peel: Recently attended our niece's wedding here. Lovely venue and staff.
Ronnie Mavin: excellent night friendly staff
trevor hanson: Webster's Ropery, also known as Deptford Patent Ropery on the River Wear did in fact make actual ropes!Established in 1793 the company reputedly made some of the ropes for Nelson's Flagship HMS Victory.1804 Production reached 800 tons per year.1891 they produced a steel rope 4 miles long and weighing 20 tons, for a colliery in south west England. The cranes at the yard and at the goods station were unable to lift the load all at once, so it was made up into three coils, allowing the slack between them to hang, and the coils were lifted one at a time.
Clare of Clare's Cakery: What a gem in Sunderland, a historical building now with new purpose right on the water, fabulous Wedding venue and party place.

Keith Patterson: Aaa
Mel Milner: Nice bar with good selection of beers, including hells ! Latest visit, a smile while serving doesn't hurt !

Sheila Murphy: Sunday lunch visit, had run out of roast dinners
Bev Murdy: Had food today with friends absolutely outstanding, I recommend it to everyone give it a go you won't be disappointed x
Liz Fraser: Food lovely but be hungry as portions huge staff fantastic food freshly made so have to wait if it's busy it's worth it
Vera Sarreira: I had been here before and everything had gone well. However, I was surprised when I went back a second time and everything went wrong. We arrived at the normal lunch hour and sat down at one of the only free tables. We chose our drinks and food and after a while they came to collect our order. They warned us that they were a few minutes late because it was crowded, and there was no problem for us.The waiter came to us with the bill and the ATM terminal for us to pay.I found it strange because last time I had only paid after enjoying the meal, but I thought it was because the restaurant was full and paid. What is my surprise when I realize that no one else is paying in advance.I was extremely annoyed and irritated when I realized that it was simply because we were speaking another language, Portuguese. It was an extremely prejudiced and xenophobic act, which I strongly condemn. The food didn't take just a few minutes, but an hour and a half.I will never go back, the quality of the food does not compensate for the bad service of the establishment.
lesley foster (Batmouse14): Vegan options on the menu. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was lovely. The POC fries were amazing. Great atmosphere. No loud music when we were in so we could talk. Brilliant. Can well recommend the Tipee as a venue for birthdays etc. Amazing staff. Thanks for a fantastic night.

The Ship Isis: what do users think?
James Blyth: Great pub. Absolutely fantastic pizza. Cracking service. Great company. Can't recommend this place enough, first visit today (to @wild_firepizza not the Isis) and didn't disappoint. Pizza's cooked perfectly with delicious toppings including the locally made B-Sting hot honey (Durham), Block and Bottle Nduja (Newcastle), Fat Unicorn Salami (Sunderland) and Properoni (UK). Fries were good too. See you again soon.
Gareth Phillips: Awesome selection of great beers and food. Nothing like the usual carling and fosters selling Sunderland standard !
Ben Dixon: Great pub, one of the best in sunderland. Guy behind the bar knows everything about the beer, and makes some great recommendations. The pizza and chicken are wonderful, and match day food always tasty.
Simon Brown: Great little pub. Banging pizza's too!
John Parker: One if not the best pub in Sunderland.a great selection of craft beers either on tap or in the fridge. Lovely atmosphere and very much a classic pub with plenty of character. The food on offer is amazing, whether it be the pizza, fries or the chicken are a must get, that's if they haven't sold out already

Langham Tower: what do users think?
Norma Burnett: We had a 'Private school reunion ' there today. I say that because it's not open to the public. We had a sneak preview of the renovations and use of one of their rooms they opened up for us.The buffet they provided for this was sooo delicious, they even gave up take away boxes to fill to take home. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The owner pulled out all the stops for us and he can't have made any money out of this and he didn't charge us for the room.Watch this space..... it will definitely be worth the wait to visit Langham Tower.
Mel Milner: My first visit to Langham Tower since my University days! Lovely place for a quiet beer, and they've got Hells, cracking lager! Looking forward to the new menu coming out. It's a bit of a hidden gem at the minute. Should be lovely in the Summer. Great service, enjoy it while you can
Katrina Beans: Found by accident while staying a few nights - quirky , and eclectic space with nice staff and a very friendly owner - as well as a resident cat that feels like he owns the place - not had food but it looked amazing
Dave Rochester: Lovely building with amazing character
Wesley Dowding: Great cocktails and lovely garden in good weather
Mary Slaughter: Great food and great atmosphere. Stunning building and very friendly staff. Fab night 💗
Paul Alderson: Lovely venue has massive potential
Clive Orsborn: Lovely location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant visit.
Michael Elliott: Very good, been there quite a few times, my wife's favourite place.
Dushanthi Hansika Siriwardana: Love this place. Visited couple of times and Calm and nice place.
Claire Collins: Now been 3 times and absolutely love this place. The people and eccletic style make for a very pleasurable visit
Sophie Hubbard: Not an ordinary place, interesting. Relaxing here is great
Dean Robson: Amazing looking place. Booked Sunday lunch for 4 people 1.30pm. The 4 of us left at 3.00pm STILL UNFED 😡 NOT IMPRESSED. It could be a great place but management seems non-existant and the few staff that were around were either inexpericed or took the not my job attitude. Ruined.
Peter Evans: Great venue, friendly staff, great atmosphere, reasonable prices for some top notch food.
Erica Schonewald: Fabulous night
Andre Meechan: Freezing cold but could be a great place if it was managed better
Leslie Skinner: WOW , WOW , WOW !!!!
Suzanne Bevington: Happened to be staying in the area for the weekend and stumbled across this place on the way past. Fabulous outdoor seating with heaters. Odd that there was hardly anyone else there when we arrived about 9pm on a Friday night. The young gentleman who served us was excellent, very friendly and talked us through the cocktail menu. We ended up staying for 3 rounds instead of 1. Lovely end to a lovely evening
Mary Todner: Funky outdoor area. Clean and relaxed. Not 5 stars as no coffee available for drivers tho had coffee machine. Contacted several times today to ask if coffee available for today - no-one got back in touch. Think it's a work in progress at present.
Anthony Dunn: Nice location. £5 per pint is a bit steep but overall a nice open venue
Barry Marshall: If they're trying to keep the riff raff out by being pricey, they've failed. Just my opinion but not for me, sorry.
