Matt Cross: I recently purchased a brand new XC90 and I’m delighted. As a cost conscious buyer I did my research but what sealed the purchase was the excellent customer service provided by the Volvo team. From the first moment the team were knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. They got the balance right between being proactive but not too pushy. Leading this process was Arnas who is a great brand ambassador. His genuine enthusiasm for the brand and the products made the experience joyful. Great service all around and huge thank you!
Phillip Spencer: I had a steering lock issue with a 2010 Volvo C30. I decided to let Volvo Sunderland sort it out after having a good relationship with them and being quoted £320 which was fairly competitive for a main dealer. 2 days before the booking they rang me and said I would have to pay £144 diagnostics fee on top of the price. After a bit of discussion they agreed to allow me to skip this as i knew what the issues was as long as I signed a disclaimer which I was happy to do. When dropping off the car I was then told again I would have to pay the diagnostics charge and could not skip it. They then said I was mis-quotes and that it was going to be £592 plus £144 diagnostics. After booking it in, getting the time off work, organising a lift etc I was great so badly by unforgiving and unfriendly staff that I still have not got the issue sorted out.

The whole process was very smooth and professional.The main reason for this, is Arnas, or Arnie as he is better known.We roughly knew what car we wanted, and Arnie showed us round the XC40. His knowledge of the car, its controls, safety features is second to none. At no time was he pushing for the sale. He arranged our test drive, and before we knew it, we had bought it.Arnie is excellent at his job, very polite, always called me Mr Wheatley, and not mate ! When we picked up the car, the handover was very thorough with no rush or time constraints.We did have a small issue, but it was not Arnies fault. He was mortified, and did his utmost to resolve it, which he did.If you go to Stoneacre looking for a car, make sure you ask for Arnie, you will not be disappointed.Just a quick mention about the receptionist Elizabeth. She is the first person who greets you as you go in, and the last one to say goodbye. She is very friendly and so helpful.All in all, a great experience.Thanks again Arnie

Karen Davison: I came in to buy a newer car and was treated with the upmost care and courtesy. when i could see anything i wanted they did an internet search and found the ideal car for me in my price range and had it transported to site so i could test drive it. They allayed all my fears and gave me plenty of time to consider my options. I arranged to purchase it but in the meantime my car broke down so i thought it was deal over!! They were so kind and understanding and arranged recovery of my car and adjusted the exchange by the repair costs. the whole process was respectful and care free. would highly recommend the sunderland branch.

We were looking at a Fiat 500, a car which we had not even seriously considered. Manny made the process clear and easily understood and allowed us plenty of time to check the details in the small print! Carolyn Wilson: Took out motability car for its mot , oil and brake fluid chang.Previously we just used the Seat garage 50 yards from us.A) They took it from Newcastle Road to the Seat garage for its mot !!!!!B) Didn't do the brake fluid changeC) oil warning message still coming onOMG 😲 Phoned them today and spoke to them and after three people phoning back , they'd had to get motabilitys permission to do it . Only then can they put it on the diagnostic machine to clear the message.NB :- We've ordered out new car but are having to keep ours (which we love but to replace it with the same car the price has gone up 100% !!!!Gone for a lovely Toyota Corolla Design touring grand sports with a boot the same size as our current one 😀 😄 👍 👌 😁 😊

Sue Broadbent: I have bought lots of cars from here but after last one wouldn't go back. I bought citroen c3 aircross, which began making a horrible grinding noise when first starting it up. I took it back and left it there about 3/4 times. They couldn't figure out what issue was so said it COULD be something blocking a pipe they would need to strip top of engine to see if they could fix it, it might be under warranty but couldn't guarantee it was would cost us £400ish, a finger in air job and we only had car about 6 mths. As it was grinding I decided I didn't want to be pulling more money out for something that might or might not fix it or be covered under warranty. So said I didn't want car they said they would give me £8000 if I did a trade in for another car from them, or £7000 if I just handed it over to them. Now the guy in charge of sales dept didn't make it clear at all he did say £8000 it was only when we went in to take the money he said if we didn't trade in it was £7000, we bought this outright for over £11000 6 mths before so for a second hand car we lost alot of money. I didn't hand over to them I traded in elsewhere and got a lovely car Nissan Juke. I really wouldn't recommend this place for anything just want your money and the sales manager was unhelpful and didn't stick to anything he said.
