The Prior: what do users think?
Simon Chapman: Overpriced drinks and not much atmosphere.
Brenda Ramshaw: We came here for Sunday lunch 2 weeks ago and we were most disappointed after always having a gorgeous lunch with plenty of fresh vegetables, the menu had changed sadly for the worst, so we thought, and for £12 odd each for 1 course was a rip off,2 slices of beef,1 small Yorkshire pud and roasted veg that all tasted the same, smaller portions than we used to have, so sadly won't be back for Sunday lunch again unless it goes back to normal, i did raise this with the barman and he was apologetic, actually a really nice guy,,we ate it but not impressed with it at all and definitely not worth the price
Stuntman: Great pub and staff

john brown: Great pub. Great prices
Bradley Ferguson: Been drinking here a while lovely welcoming pub staff are very friendly entertainment is amazing it’s just the place to be love the doxy lad best place to be !!!
Alan Trotter: Expensive for out of town pub, it's not a high class pub to get away charging them kind of prices.
Lesley Batchelor: Good atmosphere, brilliant staff, clean. Good entertainment
Brian Webster: Well currently sat in here at the minute bar staff lovely and very perlite but there is a set of youngins who I’d say isn’t 18 been terribly loud. Then some that is lying asleep, dogs barking and running around pub also a set of people that isn’t even drinking just sat there disgrace and you could see a family of 4 were getting annoyed alsoReplying back - Why don’t you ask people that were also in??? Because I can Say that the dog barked more then once, it was lying on the tables in pub and was running around the pub which if you checked your cameras you would see, you’d also be able to see that the wasnt just one staff working there was about 4 people behide bar.The person that was asleep never got took home, can guarantee this is the truth so your staff must be lying.
Owen Tait: Disrespectful staff, walked in pub last night came to bar and bar maid was still stood there talking to 2 young people, no the wonder the place had no one in with rude staff like that.
Charlie Shakesby: Been starting to come in here on weekends and weekdays which normally is very welcoming as never been in before.I was stood at bar for at least 5 minute before the staff member actually realised I was there which she was stood talking to 3 young males. When she did end up serving she had no customer services skills at all very rude.I’d say this was about 9olcock lastnight or after.( Version of events incorrect, I don’t think so check your CCTV correctly! )
Shirley Carter: Cracking pub. Fun friendly and fantastic, Reasonable cost and lovely surroundings. Great choice of Beer & spirits, Live Sports & Entertainment. Would have been five stars except for the appalling attitude of one male member of staff (Attitude) on Saturday night
Vanessa Chapman: Visited for a family party on Friday and from start to finished everything was brilliant, Bar Staff was amazing and always making sure we were alright and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great night!👍

A belting little boozer, family run, all staff are superb, grub looks great also. Lovely to see in this tough times for a lot of businesses one that seems to be thriving due to brilliant ownership, investment & hard work. Always a super warm welcome even as a Geordie behind enemy lines. ⚫️⚪️😃
Anthony Ingledew: Nice pub nice service
