Impact North East CIC: what do users think?
Sergio Petrucci: We’ve been referring people connected to Red Sky Foundation for over a year and the service they receive is second to none!“One day I promise to remember to buy the thank you card I keep writing to you in my head. From the bottom of my heart Sergio, thank you so much for sorting out the counselling (with IMPACT North East) for Mam. You’ll never know how much of an essential role this is on her road to recovery. The work you do in our community and wider is indescribable and I promise we are totally on board in supporting Team Red Sky xx”
Chris Temple: I had my rewind therapy with Sharon early June I spoke with her previously and told her that I had a fear of flying and every time we booked a holiday or when we were due to go away I would be ill. She spoke to me about rewind therapy and I wasn’t sure if it would work or not but I was willing to give it a go if it meant it would help me and I couldn’t believe the results it was pretty much instantly for me I kept looking at Sharon confused and a bit freaked out waiting for the fear to come when we spoke about it and it didn’t. So when it was time to get on that flight I did it usually I would be sat in the airport feeling ill and dreading the flight but I wasn’t I couldn’t believe it. I seriously can’t recommend Sharon and rewind therapy enough it was amazing thank you so much for helping me Sharon.
michael colling: I was fortunate enough to spend some time as a counsellor with Impact and it was not only a pleasure but also inspiring to see all of the great things Impact does both in terms of helping to improve the mental health of those who access the service, but also the things it does within the community it provides service to such as very welcoming support groups, working in schools and providing support to families in hard times. I feel lucky to have got to know Sharon, Lee and the rest if the team.
emily errington: This is a very close-knit and passionate team who go the extra mile for everyone who walks through their doors. I have experienced brilliant teaching on the course for level 3 training in education, I have witnessed huge compassion and empathy from the staff to their clients and learners. Each member of the team has a vast and broad variety of life experience which they apply to help others. The depth of knowledge of the staff here is priceless, as is the way that they use it to help other people to overcome their personal struggles; to make progress; to reach goals; to set goals and feel confident in achieving them. One of the main things I felt whilst learning through impact is that I was set up to succeed and could contact the tutors if I was struggling with any aspect of the learning or work, that the intentions of the lecturers were strong and bold - very clear objectives, very supportive towards all pupils.I feel like impact reached me at a point in life when I needed them most; I had become recently unemployed, wasn't sure what direction to go in, was struggling to make progress or believe in my potential. After being in the hands of such experienced and conscientious tutors i felt like I'd had a fresh start in life, had gained confidence and had challenged myself in ways that have made me a better person all round today as well as the opportunities in employment I have gained.Impact improves the community in many ways, including getting surplus food donations (reducing food waste also) to those who need it most. Emotional wellbeing workshops for children with extra struggles are ran, teaching valuable coping mechanisms and equipping children to increase their resilience, which can be carried throughout life and is so valuable and very rarely taught in schools. The volunteers and staff are very dedicated, patient and determined to bring out the best in every individual they meet, both adults and local school pupils.Staff here are knowledgeable about links and connections; they know when to give information about external services that a person may need - life changing to a person who is struggling but doesn't know why or how to move forwards.During my time volunteering I would have chats with clients who were visiting for the counselling service. It is tailored to the individual, affordable and I have heard first hand how beneficial the service has been to the clients who have made massive progress in personal struggles. The service is very professional; confidentiality is taken very seriously, very trustworthy.the service really is ran by people for the people, and the people are at the heart of the place, giving a better chance at life and in employment, as well as everyday life and how to have better wellbeing. The services provided not only focus on enhancing the prospects of individuals but also of the community as a whole. Finally, I'd just like to stress how resilient and amazing the staff here are, from taking everything that is thrown their way and handling things with such resilience to never turning down a challenge. I feel so much gratitude towards this organisation and see how much potential they have despite already having made such a difference. I'm excited to see what the future brings for them. Thank you Sharon, Lee, Lorraine, Joanne and all the staff at impact who I had the pleasure of crossing paths with.
Big Phil: The team at IMPACT combine the principles and ethics of professionals with the care and empathy of family. They continue to adapt themselves, often at great cost and effort, to meet the needs of the community they clearly love, they provide counselling and family support from their office and local schools, working one on one with families and as part of a team with other experts, organisations and authorities, and they provide excellent training and education to enrich the lives of their clients and friends, as well as warmly welcoming students looking to enter the field by providing experience with clients, guidance and supervision. You will always be welcomed, never judged, and sorry to say goodbye.
Jennifer Pearce Skipsey: Well what can I say....David is not only amazing the way he delivers his class and gets you thinking about the subject , but his interaction with the whole class takes the stress off a classroom environment!!I'm looking forward to carrying on my course with him.Sharon started the mental health course then David is taking over.Sharon's sheer passion to help anyone that needs help with anything is amazing, she is an inspiration, in a world where many people don't get help easily, she pushes for it regardless and to me that's what is needed more selfless, caring ,people willing to help!!keep up the great work Impact 🙂
Corinne Kilvington: This amazing local service has literally saved my life and helped me change it for the better, and supported several people close to me too...and no doubt many others I don't know.
Angela Fleetham: I have just completed a Mental Health course with Impact Northeast. I have a physical disability so I was a little apprehensive when I first started in-case I could not keep up with the class / course work and got left behind. However, I need not have worried; both David and Lorraine always offered solutions to overcome any of my problems. Nothing seemed a chore to help me. They were prepared to go above and beyond to offer support. Both tutors presented the course with such enthusiasm and engaging way. They are passionate in what they do and truly inspire other people. They have helped me a lot to regain my self confidence and achieve something I thought was impossible. Thank you. You are helping people change lives for the better. Excellent organisation. Excellent people. Can't wait for my next course.
Dawn Connor: I have done mental health at first I was nervous but I got very that because of two fantastic teachers Lorraine and David lots of support meet great people looking forward to the next course

Reflections Counselling and Training: what do users think?
Lynn Smith: This is an inspirational course that I would recommend to anyone who seeks to support others and to know themselves properly.
Debbie: After being recommended Reflections following completion of my level 2 counselling I have now completed my level 3 counselling and currently doing my level 4/5.Reflections offer a really structured way of teaching offering a mix of theoretical learning and skills practice. All the staff are really supportive and put you at ease offering guidance whenever it’s needed.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Reflections to anyone wanting to pursue their dream of becoming a counsellor. I am so happy that Reflections are helping me achieve mine.
Deborah Campbell: I have studied both Level 2 and Level 3 Counselling Skills with Reflections and am currently enrolled on to the Level 4/5 course. I cannot recommend Reflections highly enough. The trainers are so experienced and supportive and the course is extremely well planned and delivered. The small groups, various locations and flexible hours of courses (including weekends and evenings) have made it possible for me to manage studying whilst still working in a full-time job. So much of the stress of balancing work and study is removed by the step-by-step way the course builds and because of the sheer dedication of the trainers who are never more than an email away.
John Malley: Excellent course and first class and supportive tutors. Highly recommended!
Boubles 5: I wholeheartedly recommend training to become a counsellor with Reflections traning. Jill Hedley, the owner and the main teacher at Reflections is very knowledgeable, kind, understanding and helpful. The content of the course is thorough and well paced.
Shelley Callaghan: Jill is so supportive and the course helps you learn so much about yourself. Highly recommend starting your counselling journey with Jill.
Maxine Shell: I completed my L3 a couple of years ago with Jill at Reflections which was such an inspiring experience that I returned to commence the L4/5 recently. Course presentation, the content and teaching style is absolutely perfect for me. Thank you Jill and all the tutors at Reflections 😀
Helen Rowley: I completed my level 3 with Reflections and I am currently completing my level 5. I am loving every second of it. The tutors are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. They create a safe environment for us to practice skills and build our knowledge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.
Erin Russell: I studied with Reflections Counselling and training and completed the level 5 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling in 2018. I have been working as a paid counsellor since completing the course and know that the course fully prepared me for this role. Jill was extremely supportive throughout the course, encouraging reflective practice and with an emphasis on personal development too. With a focus on the final year on units such as Trauma and Grief, we learned a lot about the key issues that many clients present with in the real world. This prepared me so much in my role working to support clients as I had the knowledge and understanding about these areas, including the theoretical underpin of how to work with these issues. In addition to this, as we had spent time in class learning, discussing and reflecting on our own experiences, this led to a deeper understanding of how this can impact people. The course also prepared me for working with a range of different therapeutic approaches meaning I can be more adaptable and can provide short or long term support. Overall, I would highly recommend Reflections and Jill as a training provider to become a counsellor. The courses she runs, fully prepare students for being a counsellor.
Luke: I completed my level 5 Integrative Counselling Course with Reflections & it was a fantastic experience. I have continued to work in the field since qualifying and it is a hugely satisifying role. Be aware the programme requires some intense self discovery - well my experience did - that should not be taken lightly, however the results are worth it and the support provided along the journey is exceptional!
Georgia H: I completed my level 5 Integrative Therapeutic Counselling Advanced Diploma with Jill at Reflections and it was the best decision I've ever made! I've since secured employment as a counsellor and absolutely love what I do. Learning about the different theories, as well as a variety of mental health problems, was so interesting and Jill makes everything easy to understand and is always there to offer extra help if needed. This course also offers the opportunity for self reflection which taught me a lot about myself. I found this incredibly beneficial and I am now much more confident than I was beforehand. Jill is a fantastic teacher, and an even better person. She is kind, supportive, and encouraging and I would thoroughly recommend Reflections to everyone.
Charlotte Faram: Reflections is the best training provider I have ever had the pleasure to use.The Reflections team are simply outstanding! They are caring and supportive...nothing is too much trouble.Having completed my Level 3 with them and now coming to the end of my first year of the level 5, I can honestly say that there is no other provider that I would rather have taken this journey with.
