Jo Mc: What a joke of a service. The NHS is an embarrassment to public service. Rang 111 as 7 year old son has tonsillitis, after 4 attempts eventually got through after 30 minutes. Explained what he had, requested a Dr call back to try and get a prescription, for some reason a nurse practitioner called who was rude and unhelpful, since all the walk in centres ceased to exist its worse than ever, having to drag a 7 year old to A and E on a Saturday night at 11pm full of drunks. Someone seriously needs to look at the service, we pay enough money in to it.

Colin Hardy: One star is too good for this shambles of a practice, No Empathy , Dont listen, They are always in the right and you are in the wrong.....Oh and please if you want to avoid stress and frustration avoid phoning them at all costs as you will be in an hour long queue....Do yourself a favour and find an alternative practice..
carol doyle: Doctors have absolutely no bedside manner. Make you feel like you're wasting their time. This used to be a great practice but not anymore. I understand that they are under pressure in the current climate but surely it's there job to put patients minds at rest
Carmen Lloyd-Bannan: Appointments are never on time. Have to wait at least half an hr past time. Also Appointments are reschuled without any notice. Find another surgery. No option to leave no stars so only giving 1star.
Sarah Laidler: Me and my children have been patients with WMP for over 12 years and have never had an issue with them. During COVID things were difficult; I wasn't able to get routine check done, and you could only get telephone appointments which was concerning if it was something important, but that's what 111 is for. They also changed to a system where you could only book on the day which was a bit frustrating if your issue wasn't urgent as I felt I was wasting appointments that other more in-need patients could have used, but it wasn't the fault of the reception staff. Recently this has changed back again and I've had no issues booking an appointment, most have been within a week and are face-to-face. There is the odd time where I've rolled my eyes, but on the whole I've found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. But then, I'm not rude to them...I firmly believe that people only ever write reviews when they've had a bad experience and out of 13 bad reviews there are hundreds of patients who haven't commented so don't be put off - I'm very happy :)
kym cruddas: Everytime I ring this place to speak to a doctor or make an appointment I'm consistently told, no appointments, go to walk in, ring back tomorrow. It could be my medical issues playing up or a limb hanging off and receptionists, who all think they are doctors, would tell me to go to walk in or call back tomorrow between these times, then I'm lucky to get an appointment thats not weeks away. Lazy practice since covid, receptionist is rude. I'm fed up of this place. Soon as I can I'm leaving this practice , I should of known when they without my request or consent, just randomly sent my medical files to previous gpThey got them back and apologised but things went downhill with them since then.since I originally posted this review, a doctor on a phone appointment, told me he was going to prescribe me magic cream and I'd be fine. 44 year old and magic cream????? Applied cream, felt ill, contacted 111 doctor rang me back. I should never of been prescribed cream as I'm allergic to aspirin, severely, and it was a good thing I stopped applying it. Got emergency face to face appointment with doctor, he agreed, should never of been prescribed cream and that it wouldn't of worked anyway as I needminor procedure and physio for ruptured achillies tendon. Incompetent, lazyness putting patients at riskThis was definately a case of being fobbed off by original doctor. I think you can guess where I said he could shove his magic cream.
Foxy Mosh: I really needed help on friday morning, phoned them constantly over the day with a constant message: "we are now closed" and they were supposed to be open until 6pm? I then phoned 111 and got advice I needed. Problem I see here is that 111 will be overworked answering calls intended for doctors receptionists. I am disgusted.
Emran Khan: This has to be the worst GP practice in Sunderland. It's getting worse every time. This COVID19 has made the staff very lazy. They dismiss everything and refuse to see you even In critical situation. my son's asthma flared up and needed steroids as he does every winter. Nicola the nurse over the phone diagnosed that he has COVID! And told him to get a PCR test done and wait for the results then go to the A&E. I was fuming at this point, and put the phone down and took him to the A&E immediately. After the checks at the A&E he was given steroids to help him with his asthma. Now you tell me how was she able to determine over the phone it was COVID ? This could have been a very dangerous situation. RUBBISH!!!

Paul Marco Faccini: To be completely honest the surgery is absolutely unacceptable, the receptionist is so rude the doctors can't seem to be bothered to actually talk to patients, and the receptionists think their the doctors , my partners tablets that she's been on over 4 years and needs keeps being told she's not allowed to be prescribed them when the doctors haven't even spoke to her or disgust her problems, had to give this one star so can put review on but they don't deserve even one star

DJ: The majority of staff here are rude, dismissive and patronising. The last nurse I saw gave me the wrong dosage of medication because she couldn’t be bothered to read my notes properly and preferred to argue with me about what tablets I’m taking which is medical negligence, I’m sure. The receptionist refused to tell me her surname when I said I wanted to complain. Avoid this place at all costs.

Learn with Shu: Service is very bad! You ask for one thing they come up with something else.Reception refuses to give you an appointment with the Dr even when you pregnant and your suffering from severe infections for weeks! Ridiculous! I have been calling at 8am every freaking day for the same reason and they couldn't do anything about it! When you ask something because your desperate they change their tone of voice and show attitude !Also the amount of time you do the blood test and they either loose it or put you on repeat without even notifying you what the heck is going on with it. They don’t work to help patients they jus do their job for the sake of it . Sick of being ignored.
Michelle Newton: ⛑️😥🤕💉🤒😢 🌡️ 🤧🤕It has become almost impossible to book an appointment here now.It's always been difficult but has only worsened sadly.There's barely any human interaction when attempting to get through on the telephone & I have not seen my own gp in a year! Not for the lack of trying but there's never any appointments by the time you do get through.It's extremely sad considering I saw the same Dr for well over 10yrs & in that time my health/wellbeing was at a really good level.Regularly seeing my gp had a huge impact & made a massive difference to where I am now.I fully appreciate Covid affected all aspects of life however, but maintaining the same amount of care/treatment & having plenty of opportunities to continue working with your gp should be paramount.It would be fantastic if their standards of care towards their patients returned to how it used to be, as it was unrivalled by any other.I know that my decline in health is 100% because of this.Genuinely hope things change for the better as this is a long running surgery.This was my parents gp too & I have been with them over 50yrs!Not sure if changes are possible now but it will be a sad day for all patients/gp's/medical staff if the decline continues and they end up going out of business.🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Sam Kennedy: Poor service. I dont go to the doctors often and only joined this surgery 9 months ago but everytime I have been there has been problems. Regularly misinformed, blood tests sent away for the wrong tests, chashing results, turning up for appointments where I am then told treatment is not due yet so can't go ahead, despite being told by doctors at that surgery that treatment is due and told to book an appointment. I feel totally let down by this surgery and would honestly not recommend it to someone that wants hassle free, simple, efficient service and health care.
