This Grade II*-listed pottery is the UK’s last working Victorian potbank in continuous production, and after 130 years Middleport Pottery remains home to world-famous Burleigh pottery that is all made here onsite.
The cafe offers a lovely pot of tea with amazing homemade chips. It is definitely worth another visit just for the chips.
Visitors can enjoy a factory tour, explore the heritage trail, visit the canalside tea room, shop at the factory shop, and explore the artists studios and gallery.
On-site facilities include numerous WC facilities, lifts to all public-access floors of the building, and a well-appointed café for snacks. There are also artisanal outlets within the complex and a factory shop.
