Royal Stoke University Hospital: what do users think?
T M: Went with a leg injury, staff were very helpful and may be i got lucky there wasnt much of waiting time in A&E, only wished more cheaper parking for my bistander....
Justin Brown: UHNM and ward 228 have been amazing. These fantastic staff go about their business quietly and professionally and I have the upmost appreciation of what they do.
Darren Mountford (Dazzlar is here to stay): Disgusting!! And I'm not talking about the hospital building. The staff on duty, on Monday the 10th of July 22:45 in A&E, every single one of them from reception all the way up to nurses and Doctors had a DISGRACEFUL attitude towards patients, talking down to people, sneering at people, being flippant with them, bullying and aggressive behaviour towards people, certain members of the nursing team (male) walking through A&E like he was at Paris fashion week, I couldn't stand it any more, I had my blood and ECG taken then after 3 hours I went to a head nurse on reception and I said I'm going home I can't stand it here anymore and she said " yeah see ya then, i'll take you off admissions" with a cold stone stare. Never in my life did I think I would be writing something like this about people from Stoke on Trent, known nationally for their friendliness. There needs to be a high level management root and branch investigation of that departments disgusting TOXIC culture. A very tall, very young male nurse who took my blood was the only one that showed any deceny and professionalism, how unfortunate that the disgraceful behaviour of his peers is probably going to project onto him as he progresses through his career. VERY SAD INDEED.The NHS is on its knees and whilst it has people like I encountered on Monday night running it, it will remain on its knees no matter how much money you throw at it.
Susan Bailey: Excellent service.
clive green: Thorough but timeconsuming
Christine Owen: After returning a bowel cancer test I received a letter to say that they needed to investigate further, there was also an appointment for five days later. The first appointment was with Amanda who explained everything, we decided that a colonoscopy was the way forward. I was then given another appointment for 12 days later. Every one of the team that day was supportive, pleasant and madeyou feel secure, no questions were silly. Dr Dessie, went through the procedure again, the whole team were very reassuring. During the procedure it became very painful but was quickly resolved with the entonox. Thank you all for your swift and expert care and after care phone calls 👍.My son wanted to help and enquired about a private appointment he was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks, it was all done in less than 3 weeks
Luke Dickinson: Parking is shocking they charge you even when your a patient.Everything consultant led is so slow there so back logged. No body is professional.Honestly don't have a baby in Stoke on trent
Viorica Cernat: Teribile! Waiting time 6-7-8 hours.Horrible! They are 10 patients in the waiting are and they shown on the screen more than 100.Horrible hospital!
Chen YANG: I had a sudden bleed during my journey and was forced to come to this emergency clinic, I waited until blood was all over my trousers to see the doctor and this is where my nightmare began. First I was put in the waiting room and told by the nurse on duty that I would need a few hours to wait for an MRI, which I accepted, I waited from afternoon until about 6 hours in the evening and no nurse came to tell me the results and of course I was not scheduled for an MRI, when I went to enquire I was told by the nurse that I would be scheduled for an MRI the next morning.I was full of anticipation for the MRI the next day and was told I still had to wait, I accepted this and tried to enquire how many days I would have to wait as I couldn't keep waiting aimlessly in the hospital, the nurse told me he wasn't sure, he didn't know. I found the doctor and he told me to have it done today, I was still thankful, not knowing that everything was going in a bad direction. As I bled and waited for the test, I asked the MRI staff about the time of the test and they told me that I did not have any MRI appointments, meaning that my doctor or nurse never put me in the MRI queue, at this point I asked the nurse again and I was given the answer that I needed to wait, but I was not in the MRI queue, so what was I waiting for? I fed back my concerns and one of the senior nurses started to reprimand me, telling me that he had never seen anyone who wanted this in his 15 years of working at this hospital.I just wanted to know when I could have an MRI and that was it I had to leave this hospital, sometimes the private option is a better solution
Karl Werner: Some of the staff havent got a clue when you ask for something about 2 or 3 diffrent people see you and they dont rush,i know they are under presure but tings need to improve pluss my partners small backpack got stolen from a side ward on sunday night or monday morning when she was having a wash it had here purse in it and other items in it no body seamed bothered pluss the police said there was nothing they could do as there was no cctv on the ward, this country has gone to the dogs.
Helene Perry: Having had several recent surgeries, I want to say that the treatment in the hospital was brilliant! Every member of staff was caring and friendly, so Thank You!!!
Amy Gibson: Staff were fab did the best they could to help
Eric Wood: Easy access no problem
Mihidhu Mihidhu: Good place
Jane Colclough: Spent 9 hours at Royal Stoke A&E with a query blood clot. Came away at 4am, exhausted, not even knowing if I had a blood clot because when they took bloods, at the start of our 9 hour session, they didn't even check for a blood clot. Didn't get to see a dr until 8 hours after arrival, at which point I was told I needed to wait another couple of hours (or more!) to get a result on the blood clot. Literally couldn't keep my eyes open any longer so I had to come away, after first having a chest xray, and agreeing to attend AEC today, to continue the saga. The extra blood test should have been requested at 4am (as I left A&E) but on arriving at AEC at around 11:15 today, it had not been received by the lab. The nurse at AEC requested it there and then, and I just had to wait for the result and time with a Dr- which took another 4 hours. The nhs needs help. Everytime I go it gets a little bit worse. There was one poor woman in tears on the floor of A&E for hours. It felt like we were in a third world country. Animals would get better treatment. It's so sad.
Richard Matthews: A&E do not come here if you can help it , absolutely shocking 6 hrs and still waiting . NHS RIP
David Whitmore: Very good ,but parking really bad
Craig: Good
Brenda Gilmour: Had to wait a long time to be seen but werth it in the end
Sue Mclean: This hospital is huge, such a shame that there's always trouble parking
Ruby Jones: Went into the A&E today as my friend was suffering badly with breathing problems and going in and out off consciousness ( were uni students so being away from home in a different hospital is scary anyway) to be rudely spoken to by multiple of their ‘nurses’ who then told us to leave as there was “to many of us” there was 3 to support her and eachother incase she lost consciousness again. Very poorly staff who need to learn manners

Birches Head Medical Centre: what do users think?
Polly: Helpful reception staff.
Carl Bailey: Why is birches head medical center advertising new nhs patientsWhen you can't get an appointment to be seen for 2 weeks and no repeat prescription reviews for over 3 years
Mike: Just had an appointment with Dr Aleem, what a super doctor he is. He is very thorough and explains your medical condition to you, probably the best doctor at the practice. I will have no hesitation in asking to see him in the future.
Al Phillips: I can only comment on my own experience but as a relatively new patient to this practice I have so far been very impressed with the service that I have received on the couple of occasions that I have had a consultation with a Dr.I recently had a consultation with a Dr Kumar who was excellent! Most importantly he was attentive and listened (which in my opinion is the mark of a good clinician). A collaborative treatment plan qas devised in which I am extremely pleased with.Keep up the good work!
Stephen Bloor: If your a phycic medium ,or can read tealeaves this is the place for you if unlike most people you can't see in to the future to no exactly when you will be ill so as to get an appointment for 6 months time . Chances are it's easier to see the Queen than see a doctor
Rini Sinha: Had my vaccination here and it was straight forward and quick. People were very friendly and professional!Highly recommend
PheonixMich: They have been wonderful, dealing very well under hard circumstances, and were amazing at helping me when I really needed it. Thank you.
Pam Johnson: Very helpful & friendly. During these hard covid times sent txt messages for a flu jab, just received one about the covid vaccine.
EJ games 123: Have been with this surgery many years. Never struggle to get an appointment, don't have to wait ages when i do have an appointment and the reception staff actually try to help you instead of just getting you off the phone like some surgeries i have dealt with.
Chris catling: They tell you to call back after 2 for an appointment you so they then expect a 4 year old to sit there for hours joke of a place
Lee Gratton: Appalling reception staff, extremely rude and abrupt and when addressed on their attitude they then accused me of being the one speaking out of turn! Utterly disgusted but I shouldn’t be surprised I get the same attitude every time I call.
Gary Thomasson: Don't bother . Reception staff very nice except one who is very very rude and abrupt. The doctors don't want to listen about anything when it comes to personal medication. They say private prescription only when it suits them . Was there 2 weeks and will never go back .
Dan Phillips: Have been with the surgery for about 18 monthsExtremely helpful in both making appointments and sorting prescriptions
Vtlx: Reception staff are very rude, doctors dont seem to care at all.been going there my whole life with minor problems but as soon as you actually really need them they dont listen to you and are incredibly unhelpful. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone and am changing to a different Doctor.

Dr Mef Mccarthy & Partners: what do users think?
Kasia TJ: If I could I would to give 0 stars, absolutely useless, not acceptable!!! My son was 7th in the queue and he couldn't get thru, he was waiting over 2 h for connection with reception!!! Absolutely disgusting
Gareth Oliver: Can’t get to see a doctor don’t answer the phones receptionist staff are very rude and unhelpful time to change doctors appalling practice
Holly M: Admin service is extremely poor. It's often you have to hold for more than 40 mins when ringing up for an appointment. I held on for 1 hour 20mins being the second in the queue today and gave up eventually. It is terribly inconvenient for people who go to work. The website doesn't have an email address for feedback. The complaint form on the site is not downloadable. The doctors are good but the admin practice desperately needs improving.
Andy Lambert: Absolutely shocking practice. Never and I mean ever will you get to see a dr. The reception staff are rude beyond belief. Do not consider joining this practice it will be the worst decision you could possibly make!!!!!
Al Johnston: If you have an emergency then I would suggest phoning another doctor.I have been trying to get through to the reception team for more than 30 minutes and each time the automated message completes and then a message stating "Your call cannot be completed at this time". Then the call is terminated. If this was a line problem then I would not expect to hear the automated messages so there must be something being done at the doctors side!
Hannah Locker: The receptionists are really rude, I rang to try and get and appointment and was told "as a patient at the doctor's I should know that I wouldn't have got an appointment at this time and needed to ring back tomorrow".
Paul Wood: Picked up blood form
paul shaw: Very good, professional, sincere, caring it's what you look for in a doctor.
Cathryn Smith: Gp said to go kill myself he don't care
Emma Bond: Under such pressures but I have always been seen in good time or advised over the phone. Even from reception (as they just take instruction from the GP / Nurse, for those wanting a moan at them) I’ve been with them for years and years.
Bethany Greaves: Doctors are good here with what they do they give you good reassurance and help you as much as they can. As for the reception team don’t think I have anything good to say about them they are very intimidating rude with how they speak to patients and most of the time think they know what’s up with you and what you need!.
christian prince: Been at this doctors for several years. Initially very good, but they have deteriorated dramatically. Most recently contacted them to get an urgent letter about my asthma history for international work. I was advised wrongly by the reception of how to obtain the letter, resulting in a significantly higher charge. I had to wait several days until the doctor was in (Friday). The letter was very brief and did not contain all the information I needed. Called back Monday and told I need to wait until Wednesday for the doctor to be back in.All I needed was a letter to say I'm not on medication and haven't been for X amount of time.
Mark Dobson: A Very Valued Service and Very Good Doctors . They are very Appreciated for there care and time towards there patients .
David John Cadman: Brilliant Drs all of them working under extremely hard conditions
Dennis O'Mara: Dont bother trying to get earl or emergency appointment. There seems to be only one doctor working. Dr Withers is excellent if you can get any appointment to see him. They need to get more doctors, its not rocket science.Sign in reception says "Sorry for delays we are trying to recruit more medical practitioners?" sign has been there for months. Obviously not trying hard enough.

Meir Primary Care Centre: what do users think?
Thomas Walker: If I could I give 0 I would all the times on line for opening times must be wrong just says its closed all the time I would be surprised if more elderly people can ever get an appointment at this awful place. I eventually rang the dental team to see if the health centre was open. The lady who answered was fantastic and went to find out for me and also took my details in case she struggled to get through to them this lady deserves 5*.
El Paso Mark: Went for blood test and was attended to by a nurse .Jesus iwept in pain excruciating pain i will not be going here again
Andy Croft: Dr Dhir unfortunately refused to accept my diagnosis of ADHD and prescribe the required medication, stating that he does not feel comfortable prescribing a controlled drug, despite a psychiatrists diagnosis and referral for shared care. It's a shame that now a days there is a lack of awareness, which leads to discrimination based on patients disorders or diagnosis. This behaviour leads to suicides, further mental health issues and patients suffering. I am sure doctors do not start out their career and training intentionally trying to make these things worse, but that's exactly what is happening now. Now swap ADHD for Diabetic and imagine if a GP refused to prescribe insulin, because they didn't "feel comfortable" - imagine the uproar!
Claire Gordon: All usual at a Health centre, no problems
brian slater: Great help very polite know their stuff
And What: Absolute rubbish can never get a appointment even when it's serious , when you do get a appointment the doctors are very reluctant to help you worst care centre ever avoid at all cost also forgot to add that all the receptionists are very rude how they speak to you there's no need for it at all if you use this health centre i would recommend to change as soon as possible to a place that actually wants to help yo!
Irene Hopkinson: Very pleasant and helpful staff
Shawana Badu: Absolutely ridiculous, they keep you waiting in the queue for hours, you get to #1 in the queue and they hang up.They also pretend they can’t hear you.The drs are also calling without allowing patients to answer. Then you have to repeat the same thing with no phone call or solution to your problem. This surgery needs closing down ASAP.
Sue Hynes: Had to attend their emergency dental practice on 9/11/22 because I am unable to register with a dentist on the NHS. The practice staff were quick, efficient and kind.
Matt G: Had no confirmation of our appointment despite proof on card. Said a doctor would call us never did, disgusting service. Needs closing down.
Graham Hertz: What is the point of having signs everywhere saying YOU MUST WEAR A MASK INSIDE THIS BUILDING When no-one takes any notice. But then again when the security guard is sitting on a chair busy using his phone and not wearing a mask what do you expect. When I questioned staff about wearing a mask I was told 'you should wear one if you can, but no-one bothers' and none of the reception staff were wearing masks. Should have no stars but I'll give 1 for the doctor who was quite helpful if 25 mins late to see me.
Liz Stubbs: Went for bloods wasn't waiting long 👍
Jacqueline Pickford: Always somewhere to park free and walk straight in:)
paige podmore: Absolute disgrace of a Dr's surgery. Was booked in for a phone appointment today and the Dr never even bothered to call me
Theresa parker-davis: Clean, spacious and efficient staff.
katie tipping: Called beforehand offering us directions, was seen as soon as I walked in and greeted by a lovely lady called Ruth. Best experience I've had in any medical establishment. Great staff and speedy service 👍
Lucie Musgrave: The hold times just recently are just outrageous, nearly two hours on hold and yet again I’m nearly one hour on hold. I’ve been with this doctors over 25 years and this is how you get treated. Not to sure what the staff are doing who are supposed to answer the phones.
Dianne Lapworth: I had an extraction today & as I'm very nervous of dental work I was treated with care & respect. All the staff were very caring, friendly & human! I would highly recommend this practice
Donna Greensmith: I went to the dentist today and saw Ross he was amazing I was very nervous but made me feel at ease highly recommended him
Rebecca Mason: Disgusting service..!!!!!
Vincent Lui: I would recommend the dental clinic at Meir Primary Care Centre, Jannine at the reception was polite and patient when I got there. Doctor Ross gave me the best surgery which was painless, although at first I was quite worried when he said I need to remove that Tooth instead of fixing it as I have not done this for at least 15 years, he comfort me and made sure I was comfortable before starting the operation. Then Nurse Kerry explained patiently after on what I need to look out for and if any problems where I can get help from.In general this is a 5 star experience that I got from them. Thank you team for such good experience!
