Stepping Hill Hospital Accident & Emergency: what do users think?
Ellie K: Very friendly and caring staff. Waited a while due to other patients with more serious needs arriving, but they got me sorted thoroughly when it was my turn. They all deserve a decent pay rise.
Sandra Cook (Buzbii): Attended today via a GP referral. Yes there was a long wait, but it was expected. Everyone who I seen was very nice and pleasant, the consultant Dr I seen was amazing she had a lovely bedside manner thoroughly listened to me I cannot fault anything they did for me today.
Katy A: Rude staff on reception, nurses wouldn't even look at me when I was clearly waiting to ask a question and when I finally managed to get their attention to ask about pain relief while we waited to be seen, all I got was a "no". Two of the three vending machines in A&E were out of order and no cups available for water, so nothing available to drink at all. Car parking payment also wasn't working but there were no signs explaining that, so had to pointlessly wheel my husband around in a wheelchair trying to pay.
Ericka Chris: In need of serious improvement. Any issues you might have they will leave you in agony and send you back to your gp even though you are in need of urgent medical attention. They’ll just give you painkillers and send you home. Rude receptionists, overworked medical staff and no beds is something you will face as soon as you walk in the department. In case your blood work comes back clean you are sent home despite the fact you are in pain for months. There’s no sympathy for patients.
Gill Gorman: Probably waited about 1.5 hrs which is very good. Then the Dr was very nice and dealt with my problem well. The problem that we had I wasn't very mobile and they have blocked off access to main part of hsp and the A& E. Even the staff couldn't tell me where I could go and sit inside and wait for husband to pick me up. And when you arrived it's not clear how to get to A & E. They seem to forget patients are In trouble and need help even if not coming in an ambulance. I know the hsp well and we couldn't work it out and staff have no idea either, had to ignore the block and go on amb route. A real mess and if you were in a bit of a panic as well!
Mari Markoska: I am giving 5 stars because of the amazing doctor that was on duty on Saturday night (02JUL22)His name is Dr. Tsanko Stefanov. The kindest, nicest doctor I have ever met.I called 111 explained my symptoms and an appointment was arranged at another clinic, unfortunately I was misdiagnosed despite explaining my concerns.I decided to go to A&E because I was certain something was wrong and I was in so much pain.I am glad I did and I was lucky enough to meet Dr Tsanko, it was worth the 7 hours I waited. He displayed empathy and compassion, he listened to me with care, run all necessary tests and confirmed what I suspected.I am pregnant and if left untreated this condition could lead to severe consequences for me and my baby.Words cannot express my sincere appreciation, I wish all doctors were like Dr Tsanko.
emma wood: An absolute shambles, lied to about notes. Was told i could have a plaster cast changed if i waited at A+E after ringing round every alternate department. I see a nurse to get told they are too busy and cant do it without trauma notes from other hospital. Just rang stepping hill to complain and the notes they apparently needed were right infont of them and were sent yesterday. I appreciate its busy but how awful. Im now stuck with a loose plaster cast doing absolutley nothing, meaning the operation i had was a waste of time. Not the first time the service has been terrible. I hate lies. Ill bear in mind to nwck a bottle of vodka next time i go to A+E, only way you seem to get required treatment.
Darren Smith: excellent service, I was well looked after by quality staff
Leanne Whittaker: Thank you to all the staff at Stockport A & E , from reception through to the Triage & beyond for the care & advice given to my son yesterday (Saturday 2nd April ) the service was second to none .We are not from the Stockport area & it was amazing to recieve such kind & professional service at a very stressful time .Thank you to each & every member of staff that attended to us we are extremely grateful.
Lesley M: Thoughtful, caring professional treatment given with calm, patient good manners. Kept well informed throughout.
william jones: Not very good I’m afraid , was referred to the emergency dept with an infected lump on my temple / eye socket I was , told that it needed lancing, and draining and I would be recalled after I had completed a course of antibiotics ( 7 days , now in the sixth day ) and I have heard nothing from emergency, the pain is very bad and I’m living on pain killers , WJJones.Added. -: feb. 29th. 2022.After 14 days I was informed that I had in fact got , Right lateral canthal sebaceous cell carcinoma stage 2. This was followed by extencive excision and reconstructive surgeryA situation that was presented to the doctor in March was not attended correctly , the corrective surgery not being completed until the 27 07 21 .The conclusion being , that from the doctor’s surgery to hospital treatment people die through neglect and lack of urgency.
Azeema Yasmin (Mua): Lovely staff,Lovely hospital,Too long waiting time, which I don't mind but even after 6 hours of waiting never even had the covid test which is what the lady expented on the phone. So didn't really know what to do and came out the hospital feeling worst. But other wise love the NHS. Xxxx
Steven Howe: Horrible hospital
Jeff Jones: Can't say enough of this place everybody amazing so helpful and caring give it 6 stars especially all staff on ward A11
Islam Gamal: The worst experience
Robyn Adams: Step out dead
Ema Wadsworth: Went in on Christmas Day(It was quiet!) Lovely staff, dealing very well with social distancing/covid. Very helpful and friendly. Great doctors.
Suzanne Thurston: How do other people around here rate this Hospital
Shamila Ali: Took nearly two days to rule out kidney stone, infections amongst other illnesses from symptoms at a&e... discharged with absolutely nothing wrong. Transferred from pillar to post outrageous staff behaviour but it's probably due to being overworked and lack of staff on duty so don't blame their snide sarcastic comments.
Keith Maycock: Just brilliant
Rachael Stott: Took my son in to the childrens A&E Dept last weekend, he had terrible sickness with with severe dehydration. I didn't get their names but the staff there were very attentive and really looked after him. There was a man we saw first off who weighed him and took his BP. My son got really upset so the man ask him his favourite colour & then got him a yellow teddy which he adores & has now called Jayden! Also, whilst we were waiting for the doctor to come back round to do his blood sugar levels for a final time the lady behind the desk saved us another hour wait and did it herself so he got discharged earlier. Its little things like that, caring & compassionate that make the best staff - thank you!!

SMDEC - Stockport: what do users think?
Lara Hoing: Seen as an emergency at 10am Saturday. The staff are so nice and the dentist surgery lovely and calming. I have a fear of dentists but they put me at ease and sorted my tooth pain
Tim Murray: 7pm emergency appointment. X-Ray then extraction. Very friendly. Very professional. Outstanding.
F Gh: Can we make an appointment in person?
woodentie: With a raging toothache, I read the reviews ang thought,, nah, the service can't be as bad as that, sadly it is. The first time I rang I was apparently number 10 in the queue, waited 20 minutes before being told I was number 9 in the queue - progress! Waited a further 10 minutes, then disconnected. Undaunted, I rang them back, number 11 in the queue. I patiently waited 90 minutes until at last I was caller number 1!! I waited breathlessly, then came the inevitable 'click' and I was disconnected - is someone playing games?!? (I've just been contacted by the local health authority - because I'd previously rung 111 - and they've thankfully sorted a dental appointment for me tomorrow!) I wonder if Johnson and co. have to go through this rigmarole too?
Lynn Leahy: Waited on the phone for 3 and a half hours to get to no 1 then I was cut off not happy as I’m in a lot of pain You need more staff to answer the phones . My problem is still on going so not a good service at all to say your and out of hours service
ola Sharouf: I went today to Smdec Stockport clinic. For my daughter, emergancy we met the doctor. The doctor told me if we get rid of her tooth now it will cause a problem in the future. When i discussed with my daughter she said to remove it because it hurt for 10 days, after we leaved the clinic im suprised when my daughter said he removed the wrong tooth. After we went back in he said he'll remove the proper this is irrisponsible i don't get what is going on 😠 😤
Karl Wardlaw: I waited over 2 hours to be called back, got to number 1 in the queue to then be told by automated message to phone back when it was less busy and the call was ended. I am in a lot of pain and don't have a dentist. What am I meant to do?Supposed to be for emergencies yet because it hasn't been 24 hours they won't arrange me an appointment even though I got no sleep last night with the pain. I have to phone back tomorrow and then can't get an appointment until Friday. Not good enough

Stockport assessments centre Centre for health and Disability asdessments: what do users think?
truthteller 2019: Whatever you do don't go to this so called assessment centre as you'll get lied to and they will lie on the papers they forward on and fail you, it has happened multiple times to my partner even though most of them know nothing about the peoples disabilities they are assigned to supposedly assess, local restrictions do not allow drop off or pick up between 10:00 & 16:00 and the nearest train station is 15-20 minutes away and the bus stop is 10 minutes away, so just remember this is all wrote down to try and catch people out, you may be better off being dropped off at primark which is about 10 minutes away as most people driving to the Three Shire Pub on Great Underbank can't find it (not sure if it shows on satnav) these places are set up for people to fail, they don't care about us, we are just numbers on paper and so mainy fails mean bonus time. This is a true review from myslef regarding this so called Assessment Centre

NHS Stockport Choices Centre: what do users think?
Jason Connolly: ¹very friendly stuff but online booking service is no good and telephone service is not good
Amy Vernon: Really kind and helpful staff. Went above and beyond to accommodate me with appointments and follow ups. Exellent level of knowledge, and good follow-ups.
Paul Gregory: Always a great service helpful friendly knowledgeable staff it’s a great clinic and my go to as it’s local
Savanna Lee: Is there a email I can get please I come in for a appointment on the 28th of October to have my inplant removed when they checked it I was told it was broken and they couldn't take it out so they need to send me somewhere else and to wait for a phone call were now in November no phone call my inplant had ran out its broken and also wasn't given the pill or anything just condom not to happy tbh
Daria Dorociak: I was really scared to come in after reading all the negative reviews but my experience was really good. I called at 8:30am, my call got answered immediately and I got a face to face appointment on the same day. The nurse and the doctor were so hopeful and blew my worries away. I understand that this is not the case for everyone and that some people have to wait ages to get their call answered or have a terrible receptionist talking to them on the phone but please don't let that discourage you from getting the help you need because eventually you will get lucky and get someone helpful answering your phone.
Ineta Nhambure: Waiting on the phone for half an hour per call for someone to pick up the phone just to be told you need to ring tomorrow. Tried ringing for 2 weeks so far shall I give up ringing or shall I carry on I m not too sure
Ericka Chris: The Stockport clinic is in need of serious improvement regarding the waiting lists for appointments and certainly needs a new secretary as the current one is just rude and unhelpful to say the least. I had to cancel an appointment in June, they booked me in again in October for a new treatment that I ended up needing help with. I called the clinic twice to try and get an earlier appointment as I had some issues in July. The secretary just dismissed me both times. She was getting irritated on the phone as she couldn’t find me on the system despite the fact that I had spelled my surname twice for her and gave her my date of birth and any other detail I could think of! And guess what…of course my name was on the system as I had been to the clinic before and had a couple of phone appointments with the gynaecologist. I ended up at the a&e and my gp to get help. Such a shame because the doctors there are great professionals. And such a shame this lady is still answering the phone to this day. I’m certainly filling a complain after my appointment.
Anna Lee: Was a bit nervous after reading the negative reviews here. However my experience today was really nice. Made three attempts this morning to book an appointment, the receptionist was very friendly after picking up the phone. Later on in the clinic both doctor and the nurse were very professional and helpful, too.
Rachel Parkinson: Impossible to get through at 8.30am for an appointment.
Damian: Friendly staff and well run
Sadie Pantelides: Been waiting since March for my appointment to have something removed from my body that's causing me pain and they just send me a letter to say the apts cancelled! Absolute jokers. Can't get through to anyone on the phone
John Boye James: Wonderful staff. Got seen within the hour. Got sorted on the day! Thanks so much!!!
Lia Mai: I’ve been on the phone since 8:30am for almost 20 minutes just for Hannah at the Ashton clinic to pick up and be so rude, completely unprofessional, I tried to explain my situation to her and she hung up. The worst call handler I’ve ever spoken to. The disrespect and disregard. However the last time I attended there was a lovely man at the front desk exceptional receptionist and so lovely compared to that one I spoke to on the phone
Helena Talbot: Don’t even answer the phone
Amy Collinson: Had read bad reviews, yes to get through at 8:30 is difficult (but they are yet to launch their online service) but the receptionist I spoke to later that morning was so helpful and managed to get me a cancelled telephone consultation the same day. Thanks to whoever she was (can’t remember her name unfortunately)
LEE YEREX: Never answer calls. Never openEDIT: Most staff there are nice. Since they got there services contracted out to a private company it started getting weird in contact and opening times.I have to say nowadays it seems a lot better couple of issues aside the staff that work there are amazing most of them. It is the privatisation and selling of the contract on a near yearly basis that has caused the issues. If it goes back to just NHS it should be fine.
Connor Jones: Horrible experience with this place. They make it so difficult to get an appointment and treatment. Offer very little slots first thing in the morning that soon fill up and no option to book an appointment in advance. The doctors are lovely but the receptionists are a completely different barrier that are rude, patronising and unhelpful
Ádám Túri: Great staff and service. Only booking an appointment is a bit of a pain as they only open a few appointment slots at 8:30 each morning. Otherwise great.
Helen Farrow: Can't ever get an appointment
Lynn: The staff here are professional and amicable, they told everything I need, they are so thoughtful, I’m so much appreciated for the help they provided.
Kamil Pietras: Nice smooth vaccination appointment, the doctor who saw me was lovely. So were the receptionists.

Mastercall Healthcare: what do users think?
Annette McCarthy: A nice experience with all staff being very pleasant and caring. Dr Menakaya was very approachable warm and kind putting me at ease. Thank you all.
tracy brown: It’s actually Tracy St Louis. I turned up half an hour late but was still seen within ten mins. The lady Doctor (Dr Saleem or something similar sounding) was absolutely excellent, she explained everything, and in my opinion did everything that was needed to make my lungs and my breathing be the best as she possibly could make them, on a single doctors appointment. . I didn’t feel rushed or an inconvenience. Absolutely excellent Doctor.. only review I have ever written, absolutely deserves a five star if I could have her as my everyday Doctor I definitely would
Gillian Horley: Really positive experience of Mastercall yesterday, booked an appointment via 111, seen quickly by the nurse then doctor. Everyone was so welcoming, the doctor and nurse dealt with us with such knowledge and professionalism and had a a great manner that put us at ease. An efficient service when you're dealing with an urgent worrying situation.
Saxon Cohen: Matercall? More like waste of a call! Spent over an hour on calls to a "Nurse" and then a "Doctor" telling me all sorts of rubbish and that I needed to been seen ASAP! When I got there the Reception Staff were very rude! Then the Doctor I did said its juts a Bug and I didn't need to attend. Are Mastercall going to refund my £13 Taxi fair? I think not..... 😡😡😡😡😡
Jan Mahabis: I spoke to the receptionist at 02:45am on the 2/03/2023. She was extremely rude and unhelpful, I would give zero stars if possible. Completely ignored advise of stepping hill hospital, GP, and the patients opinion.
Michael Ibarra: not friendly staff
Jan Shatliff: I would like to thank Dr Izzy Enaohwo for her compassion and kindness towards my daughter during the early hours on Sunday. She was fantastic and so so lovely. This is the first time I have used the out of hours and from making the initial call, I didn't get the name of of the man I spoke to, again he was very professional and reassuring to leaving Mastercall we were dealt with quickly and with kindness. Thank you to all the staff. You were all fab
Suzanne Cojeen: Great medical advice antibiotic cream given to stop septic finger getting worse tganks
Stevie Bradley: After using the out of hours doctors previously and being delighted with the service they provided with caring for my son, mine and my partners experience was far from that.Every call operator was polite, pleasant, helpful and sympathetic with our situation. Understandingly with it being a bank holiday the only appointment they could offer us was 10:45pm, meaning we would have to take our 2 year old son with us.On an arrival the receptionist was pleasant and we advised that our son would be with us so we would have to enter one at a time (he was asleep in the car). At this point there was no mention of a 2 hour delay. After 30 minutes I called to ask if there was a delay to which the response was ‘yes 2 hours, not much we can do about that’.We made the decision to stay and try to wait it out.My partner was first to be seen and then myself. We both experienced a somewhat cold doctor who didn’t seem to want to engage in conversation of any sort. After he stated that I didn’t have some issues that my partner was showing and therefore required no antibiotics, I had to ask him to re-examine me, to which he then agreed I needed them. There had been no conversation around pain relief or in fact asking us how much pain we were in, any recommendations for home remedies that may help us, and only through me attempting to draw some conversation out of him did he tell me how long I should avoid contact with other people. The time was now 12:45am, with no pharmacists open at that time all we could do was head home and try to remedy our own pain.First thing in the morning we went to hand in our prescription to be told by the pharmacist that the doctor hadn’t prescribed enough medication to what he stated we should be taken. So there was not enough to what we have been instructed to take - wonderful! On getting home we also noted that our mg for the same medication was different, one 800mg, one 400mg. We have no idea why this was done.Truly disappointed with the last half of our experience with this facility.Let’s hope this Doctor was having an ‘off’ day.
Paul Gregory: I have used Mastercall many times over the years once when my daughter was poorly and her gp the head of the practice dismissed it as a common sore throat turned out she had scarlet fever. I didn’t trust the gp so went to out of hours and mastercall were brilliant. I have been recently for myself and again they were brilliant straight in no fuss staff are caring, helpful, and polite and answer any questions.
Joanne Walker: Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the staff at Mastercall Healthcare in Hazel Grove this evening. the lady on the front desk was lovely and then the triage nurse , Amy, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. It's not very often you are made to feel like this when the NHS is so busy and everybody is rushed off their feet. they are a true asset to the NHS and I am very grateful for how they made me feel tonight. thank you.
Mark Ashworth: They're always very helpful and all the staff are fantastic.
Jeanette Gormley: I just want to say a huge thank you for the speedy response to my request for medication today.I had called my GP surgery needing an appointment but was told the surgery was closed. I was told that I would be dealt with by the out of hours service, which happened to be Mastercall Healthcare. Within 35 minutes I was called back by a health professional who was not only easy to talk to, she showed great empathy, and sorted out a prescription for me to pick up immediately at my local pharmacy. I have never ever had such a speedy response to a health issue. This was such a refreshing change from being told to ‘try again tomorrow’ or ‘sorry, there are no appointments for the rest of this month’. At a time when when the NHS is stretched to capacity and patients are sometimes dissatisfied, I felt it was important to give credit where due. Many thanks for a great service.
Ruth Hewitt: I had to go here in the middle of the night and the reception and GP were fantastic. The Gp knew exactly what was going on with me and gave me the medication there and then. Fantastic service and feel reassured that I will be better in no time. Thank you.
Leslie Robinson: Less than 2 hours from contacting NHS111 I was seen by a lovely doctor from Mastercall and had a prescription in my hand. What a great service! Without this I'd have been waiting 8 hours in A&E.
A Morris: Great centre, Carrie, Graham and the rest of the team delivered outstanding care with a warm and friendly manner. I hope not to come back but if I had to, I know I would be in safe and capable hands. Thank you so much :)
Nicola M: Amazing place. The staff are polite. I did not have to wait very long when I got there. I can’t remember the doctors name who saw me but he was brilliant. He was really funny and made me laugh. Thank you so much 😊
Ian Shimwell: Other than a delay being seen, they were efficient and professional.
Joanne Bonworth: The staff have been so helpful and friendly. The lady on the front desk could not been kinder to us.
cookingpete Peter Walters: Poor communication after bringing a blind lady and I’ll toddler to this place.Instructions unclear then accused of being late.Apparently you have to know that there is an open rest door near the bin area to get the doctors attention. Poor client journey and waste of precious time.
janine lamprecht: Beautiful and caring medical team. I cannot Thank Dr and his team enough for their kind assistance on Christmas day. Thank you for your compassion and the wonderful manne that you treat patients.

24 Hour Dental: what do users think?
Samm Reeves: Excellent service, I really am afraid of the dentist, but the service was quick, painless and the dentist really put me at ease
Vernon Woodhouse: I needed a broken tooth repairing contacted 24 Hour Dental got an appointment next day excellent service procedure explained step by step really happy with treatment would recommend
Lili Lili: Can't fault the service at all, genuinely lovely bloke who is passionate about helping people, was great with me even with my nerves (not seen a dentist in years!) also stopped for a chat while I waited for my taxi home. Totally put me at ease, took out my dodgy tooth quickly and offered plenty of aftercare advice and was overall warm and friendly to boot, which is exactly what you need when you're seeing an emergency dentist! Will definitely be back should the need arise :)
Riki Cantwell: I really recommend this dentist! I was suffering with really bad tooth ache and the 24 hour dentist saw me within 2 hours and took my tooth out for a reasonable price! He was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
Nick Clark: Fast and friendly service. Made me feel really at ease and I hate dental treatments.
Verity Clifford: Provided excellent care was polite and professional
Michael Frimston: Amazing. I was seen within the hour and despite me being of a nervous disposition, I need not have worried. My treatment was painless and very fast. I even received a follow up call the next day.
Carol Stockley: Professional, friendly and fast out of hours treatment.
Jake Grady: I needed an extraction after hours, they fit me in within an hour or so later, very polite and professional, I was given options etc for treatment. Overall very positive experience. 5/5
Gavin Costello: Real good to talk to about treatment and very professional would definitely recommend after having 2 teeth out with thanks
Jayantilal Patel: I was seen the same day which was great. The decayed tooth was removed and antibiotics prescribed and salt water gargling recommended. Pain is still there - throbbing type of pain at times. Hoping pain subsides soon so that I can get some sleep.
Dale Sturgess: 24 hour Dental were so helpful when I developed an abscess above one of my teeth on a bank holiday weekend. The booking system was easy and there were appointments available. The cost also was reasonable as well. The dentist is professional, knowledgeable, courteous and kind. Would recommend them.
Emily Nickson Williams: I made an appointment Saturday morning after struggling with toothache and not sleeping. I made an appointment and I was seen within 2 hours. Dr Rashid and his nurse were really kind and made me feel comfortable. He located the offending tooth and started first stage root canal. Very happy to be pain free and will join the practice as a regular patient!
Zia Mohe-Ud-Din: I had my wisdom tooth removed, the dentist & nurse were sympathetic & caring. I would definitely recommend this practice. Brilliant service.
Emma Couch: I get super anxious about going to the dentist and needed a tooth extraction. I was put at ease straight away, it was a super quick procedure, I couldn’t recommend this place enough especially for those who have a genuine fear of the dentist.
Pidge xox: Went for a refill on a filling that came out. Cost me £220 in total for a 10 minute appointment, had pain for 2 days after that wasn't there before. It's been a few months now and the filling is starting to wear away? I'll probably need it sorting again in a year but this time it'll have to be a new tooth because of how much they drilled away. Not sure if there's anywhere cheaper, but I sure there's somewhere that's more capable and worth the money. The dentist also asked me if I was paying card or cash, bit of a petty issue to have with them but what a stupid question. Maybe you can carry £220 in cash given how much you charge people to do simple procedures wrong and have then keep coming back for fixes and touch ups, but that's not the case for everyone.
Ja Ja: Hi used this dentist on Monday as my dentist unable to fit me in, got an immediate appointment had tooth removal that day. Excellent service expensive but when your in pain who cares! I am a private patient who does not qualify for NHS treatments.
MPT3R5: Great service. Yes it is pricey but for the service they provide but that’s It’s understandable.Travelled over 80 miles to visit this dentist and he was quick and efficient.Relived my pain, even called the following day to see how I was getting on.
Emma Thorton: 10/10 Amazing experience one of the best , I was nervous but I was made to feel so safe and relax very knowledgeable and explained everything threw a few time so I was sure , I think this will be my new dentist for sure also got appointment For the same day very happy customer thank you
Angel ria: amazing dentist really quick service no complications at all
Noel Y M SIU: I had a molar tooth probem and it needed to be handled urgently. My husaband found this 24 hours dental clinic from the website. Dr. Rashid was so professional and caring. He solved my problem very quickly. I then planned to claim from my insurance company. He was so helpful in responding to my emails. I have highly recommended him to my friend in Stockport. Her daughter has consulted him and had the problem solved promptly. His professinalism and helpful attitude is highly appreciated.
