Coffee Island: what do users think?
Nadine M: Had the eggs on toast and never had such awful, rubbery eggs before. Very disappointed. Toast and hash browns were decent. Left the eggs completely.
Jamie Edwards: My and my daughter love this place the toasties are fabulous and my daughter loves the hot chocolate.Friendly stuff and great service too
Joel Greenhalgh: Could be cleaner.
Thomas Kelly: If I could rate it 0 stars I would, food is horrible, orderd a panini for my girlfriend and too much mayonnaise on there making it soggyWhen asked if I can have my money back she refused and threatend to call security, she was the manager and had here belly top on and everything hanging outSo badly run cafeAnd very over prised
Alison Powers: Waited over 35 mins service poor tables were dirty not run very well
Horace Procter: Found this place by chance and it's going to be our go to when visiting Stockport only wish we had one in North Manchester fantastic quality food so far.
Jacquie Barber: Me and my daughter called in today for a breakfast worst ever had cold bacon cold sausage cold mushrooms cold egg the only thing that was warm was the beans even the toast was cold never again 🙃
Gordon Wilcock: I always have the Mega Breakfast from here as a Saturday morning treat after the gym, to the point were the staff know my order before I even ask for it.It never fails to disappoint & it sets me up for the day. It's also very reasonably priced & the staff are very friendly & accommodating. Really can't fault the place.
Anne Guy: Been going here for long time. Great staff food good and reasonable served nice. Tables well set and convenient location. Go in at least once a week.
John Hayes: After walking around it was the first place we found open, and we were hungry. The girl did clean a table for us, and I ordered drinks and snacks. Drinks weren't that hot and neither was the food when it came. We cleaned the cutlery with wipes first as they didn't look that clean, my wife left nearly all of her meal, she thought if the cutlery is not clean what's everything else like. I ate most of mine, (without cutlery) a pannini I could pick up, which was OK when hungry, but not great. As we sat there we noticed the floor was dirty and a lot of the tables were also. If I find myself in Stockport again on a Monday lunch time, I would not use this cafe again, just get a sandwich and drink from Greggs etc and sit on a bench. It's a normal greasy spoon cafe but the food and cleanliness is not as good. Been in a lot that are good, but give this one a miss.
Paul Crichton: A new venture for a Sunday Breakfast, They also sell toasted Crumpets and Potato Cakes absolutely 5 stars , good quality ingredients , well cooked ,fair priced served by genuinely helpful staff for whom nothing was too much effort.
Emma Galvin: Really lovely food friendly staff amazing place
Jack dawson: The staff and food are really nice
Xaiun Choine: To be honest it is extremely depressing to go with stockport! The coffee is extremely asda own brand 😔 atmosphere absolutely dead
Alan Towse: Pleasant staff and cheap prices mean good value.
John Stewart Eite: Food basic no frills
Irene Donelon (IreneLuna777): Reasonable food cheap and cheerful
Charlotte Martin: Me & 3 other members of my family went here for some lunch. Me, my sister & my mum all had the same to eat & all went down with food poisoning the next day that lasted 4 days. My other sister that had something different to eat was perfectly fine & thank God because she was heavily pregnant at the time. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Avoid at all cost
PopeHamish: Amazing big breakfast and fresh coffee. We were really surprised at this place. Food is really well priced too
Steve Parkinson (Allisnotwhatitseems): Great coffee

Chrissie&Mike Gibson: This used to be our favourite coffee shop in Stockport.Disappointing now. It looks shabby. The carpet is dirty. They need to up their game. Stockport Underbanks is moving up, they will get left behind.
Cassie Earl: A nice place to sit and study for a while. Reasonable coffee, don't know about the food as there are no gluten free optionsDietary restrictions: Need more options for gluten free.
Dave Walton: Nice coffee but a long time before you get your drink.
ALISON: A delicious coffee. Very friendly. Good choice of tempting cakes.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Adam Seaton: Amazing and delicious caramel latte made here which comes in different sizes with perfect temperature and presented very neatly. I've been here several times and the service has never failed to disappoint with friendly staff members and always a bubbly atmosphere. Would strongly recommend going here as I got a free coffee for visiting a certain number of times!
Tom Jenkins: Lovely place with nice decor. Staff are always friendly. Coffee and cakes are good. But… the tables aren’t wiped down properly and are sticky. The tables on the left as you enter are arranged in a line against the left wall and feel less cozy but more corridor. You feel a bit exposed and definitely not cozy when you’re sitting at those. I’m not sure why such a wide open space is needed. Plenty of room for queuing customers, people walking through, and slightly larger tables. We come to coffee shops for cozy vibes, not for a sticky fishbowl experience. Wouldn’t take much of a tweak to the tables and to your cleaning processes to sort this out. Otherwise, a nice place and I would bring family and friends here when the other more cozy Underbank cafes are closed.
Kath Dumerans: Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Decent coffeeFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Donna Lee: Had a coffee, tea and a couple of slices of cake. All very nice, large mugs of tea and coffee. The staff were lovely and the cafe is beautiful. Will be back.
Ciara Mccloskey: I needed to 'wfh' for an hour or so. The staff were lovely. They advised me where the best spot in the cafe was to do some work while I enjoyed my coffee.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Paul Smith: Enjoyed a flat white and chai latte here. Very cozy and bang in the middle of the city centre. Will be back!

Insomnia Coffee Company: what do users think?
hayder al-rubaiy: Good service and good stuff
S C: Very rude staff and customer service. Speaking about customers in a very rude and loud manner specifically the 'lovely' man with yellow blonde hair. The coffee is also very bad it's burnt and over priced.
Toni Cashin: Awful staff, extremely rude and speaking very loudly about customers that were still in the cafe, toilets are still out of order which has been over a year now, coffee isn't that nice either very over priced wouldn't waste your time or money here.
Massimino Malacrino: Coffee is amazing but served in a paper cup I hate it ! I took the lid off and it had a beautiful creamy top to my latte . Lady behind the counter I would your in the wrong business as places like this need love & you show it to your customers! I would of give two stars but I loved the coffee ! The place needs a good shake up ! It’s a little gem in this busy shop as us men love to disappear ha ha next time I will try food !
DAZ Ashton: Had a sneaky coffee stop 🛑 while the Mrs was shopping 🛒 cosy cafe beats walking around the shops. Nice coffee handmade shortbread biscuits are delight with the ☕. Coffee. 👍 Perfect 👌
William Connolly: The coffee shop is ok however food/drink is overpriced and not the same quality as Costa or Caffe Nero. Also, issues with the Insomnia Treats rewards scheme occur in this store which staff are clueless about the promotion advertised. Fortunately the customer service team was able to respond via email and give me a complementary free drink as a goodwill gesture.I also find the staff to be fairly rude as when I went to redeem my free drink, the woman remembered me from the 'voucher that did not work incident' and automatically assumed the same would happen again. She had a nasty, aggressive attitude however I did manage to redeem it in the end and got a Free Hot Chocolate (normally £3) which is found to be very sugary and very weak chocolaty flavour.Stockport has a wide selection of coffee shops and these incidents have pushed me away from Insomnia as there are no shortage of alternatives in Stockport Town Centre.
simonpowens1: The coffee and food though nice was tinged with two issues.1. The staff put our drinks in paper cups though we were sitting in, the food was put on paper plates i just thought it was very wasteful and a bit lazy.2. The lady making the drinks had an awful attitude to the helper, who is clearly learning disabled. She was rude, condescending and was using the lady as a gopher! As a parent of a learning disabled adult i found this very upseting and ridiculous in 2020! The lady could see the supervisor was busy, and asked if she needed help on the till. To this the supervisor snapped "no! Have you done all your jobs?" She replied yes. "Then stand there by the grill!"This is obvious discrimination, i was going to say something but didn't want to make the nice ladies day any worse. Please look at this situation, if the supervisor doesn't want to work with this lady maybe she should work somewhere alone so she can only pick on herself!
Ian Walker: Rude staff and toilets never working ... very poor hygiene practices
Patricia Martin: Terrible customer service staff are extremely rude, I was refused a cold drink because the woman couldn't be bothered to make it. Don't come here they're very rude and lazy.
Chiara Colombo: The lady with dark hair is always rude. She treats people like if she was doing a favour serving them a drink. She looks at customers as if is their fault if she is at work
Richard Bedson: don't get the blue latte as it tastes awful! Also it has no coffee in it which is a bit decieving as why advertise it as a latte ? Also the shop smelt funny which made it hard to stay in the area
Traci Wilson: Lovely coffee shop nice place to stop mid shopping
Sylvia Pilgrim: Go here when shopping in Stockport just for the Cappuccinos!! Inside Primark in the main shopping centre. Very nice pleasant staff.
Skip SKIP: Good decoration, good coffee and desserts. Staff are good and kind.
Joan Garforth: The coffee is the best in stockport , plus the staff are the most pleasant.
Zahra Fattahi: My daughter was on her way home from shopping in Stockport when my young granddaughter, who has a medically recognised bladder problem, urgently needed the toilet. My daughter was informed by a very kind member of staff within Primark that she could use the toilet in the cafe upstairs. Desperately hurrying with two small children, plus shopping, she went to this cafe, only to be refused access to the toilets! She explained that if she could not get to a toilet quickly, my granddaughter was likely to wet herself, but she was still refused! I cannot believe that this place would turn a child in need away! Customer service here leaves a lot to be desired!
