Golden Days Garden Centre: what do users think?
AJ M: Well as this type of place goes it is one of the best I have visited.
Charles Priestner: We called in gor coffee and cake in the cafe .the notice on the door said it was open until 4.30pm. We entered at 4.15 to be told they had stopped serving so jot really impressed
Isabellea Finch: Lovely place . Staff in cafe lovely , plants a bit on the expensive side .but plenty of choice.
Sue Thompson: Visited cafe here on a Sunday and service was really good. Young woman who brought tea and wonderful flapjack over couldn't have been more polite and friendly. Very positive experience. Thanks!
thomas poole: A lovely little garden centre with a nice cafe with good food
Irina Ka: Lovely garden centre. My first time here today. Paradise for the plant lovers. Garden centre is absolutely huge. On a downside I found some plants massively expensive. All very nice and beautiful, but I wouldn't pay what they ask for it . Easy to find If you do not drive. Customer service was great, but tills are hard to find. Needed to walk all the way round the centre with a lot of plants and I have a bad mobility. Doubt so I will be back again. Found the plants extremely pricey. Giving 4* for the service and variety.
Sara Verrall: Lovely garden centre for flowers, plants, pots and ornaments and more ... lovely cafe ... friendly staff and PET FRIENDLY THROUGHOUT!
Shirley: An amazing young lady who had just started and it was her first day alone she was fabulous she was very helpful professional a definite asset to Golden Days well done hun
spacedout baby: Love the place the flowers are beautiful a bit pricey but worse
Alan James Wavell Wood: Lovely!
Lynne Hayward: Plants in very poor condition and twee ornaments.Nice little dog friendly cafe.
Sue Iskandar: Lots of plants in at the moment to choose from. The coffee shop has a delicious lunch and an afternoon tea. You might need to book though.
Bev Carlyon: Loved the experience of the cafe and the shopping great place
Steve Bennett: Nice meal and plants we bought a bird bath good price
Stuart N: Nice little garden centre with a good selection of indoor and outdoor plants, tools and accessories. Also has a good range of gifts and food. A good way to spend a couple of hours browsing on a Sunday afternoon.
Barbara Woodyatt: A delightful gem of a garden centre with a vast outdoor section of plants and shrubs plus a large amount of indoor plants available. Lots of gifts and gardening accessories. There is a lovely cafe and large car park. Really with a visit.
Sarz H: Lovely centre but miserable staff.
Philip R: Good few ours out good food frendly staff
Andy Czyzewski: Excellent service and very friendly.
Dennis Marsh: A beautiful place to visit, lots of parking, gorgeous coffee shop. So many great plants and bushes to choose from. Get in there during the easter hols and enjoy

Dobbies Garden Centre Marple: what do users think?
Andrew Lewis: Member of staff at checkout couldn’t wait the close till, as made a point she was going home. Felt rushed
Federica Toffoletto: Lovely garden centre and the miniature railway is great fun for the children
duncan kenyon: Always have good deals on plants and they last all season
Phil Drake: Very friendly staff. Wide range of flowers. Very clean.
Samuel Burgess: They have a lot, and that's great, but everything was half dead, and a lot of it was way too high for what they were asking for plants and other things aswell I wouldn't come back. Staff, I didn't see any staff until checkout
Pauline: OK for varied plants and fairly good prices. However, restaurant food very basic and rather expensive in my view . Newly added , very low coffee tables and sofas added for seating if you can't find one of the regular height tables. Not accessible to all. Carparking good.
judy Judy_shore@hotmail.com: If you have an traditional breakfast at this store make sure you ask for the 2 for £12 as apparently you have to ask for this offer, even if you have a club card, does not mention this on advert. Very strange and put us off going again as we paid full price not knowing.
mark paxton: A good place to visit, Dobbies has plenty for gardeners, as well as for people to do including a good cafe and shopping for gifts pet supplies and books
Stephanie Tomlinson: Dobbies used to do the best breakfast but I have been twice now and each time I have not been happy with the breakfast. I told the member of staff that the scrambled egg was too runny so she sent it back and when it came out again they had forgotten to put my beans on the plate and the egg was too disgusting to eat and couldn't be bothered asking where my beans were. I have learnt my lesson not to go to Dobbies in Marple for breakfast especially the price of £6.95 which is a rip off for the quality of breakfast you get.
Kawaii Kitten: Plenty of choice with flowers shrubs and trees but some items were overpriced I came for a camelia but at £54.99 in a 5 ltr I looked elsewhere and found one for £60 at a whopping 5 foot in another garden centre. They had small magnolia trees here at a good price and everything looked very healthy. They also had a good variety of bird feeders and boxes it's worth a visit just be wary that some thing are slightly overpriced.
Black Orchid: Not a lot of variety but the staff were very helpful, a lady gave me advice on grape vines which was very much appreciated. Me and my daughter also went for breakfast in the cafe, but left most of it as it was dreadful.
Anthony Bardsley: Very clean.....
Jake A: Great garden centre.
Diane Bestwick: Good selection of plants and helpful staff
Elaine James: I met up with my sister, we just missed breakfast by 2 minutes and no dinner for half hour so just had coffee with lemon meringue pie
Kathy 0000: I visited today Wed 19th April. Everything was great, I enjoyed walking around the store, purchased a hanging basket, couple other items. Had lunch in cafe, which I enjoyed. A member of staff was particularly helpful to me as I couldn't manage as I have mobility problems. On my way out to pay I visited the ladies toilet, well what can I say...I was shocked, it was disgusting, so much so I quickly git out, paid and left. Hardly any staff ,I know that's difficult, but hygiene should be a priority. The toilet brush was disgusting, and the toilet bowl. The grouting under hand driers was ingrained dirty. Does anyone ever see this ?? Surely in this garden centre, that charges quite high prices it can afford a cleaner? Needless to say I dont think I'll be returning anytime soon, which is a shame. I know everywhere we go there are never enough staff, but someone's responsible ?? A reply to this would be appreciated.
Janet Beardsell: Visited the store today 19/4/23 and stopped for coffee at the restaurant! I would just like to say how lovely the staff were especially Margaret who went above and beyond engaging with myself and my friend. What a shining star she is so very professional, warm and welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us despite being very busy. She is an asset to your team. Thank you.
Janet Snellgrove: Went especially for the train, but no notice to say on when it operates !
William Beaumont: Went for a look round came away with a boot full of plants enjoyed a coffee as well
Andy Chadwick: Great place, loads of parking and a good selection of gifts and plants. The plants are well cared for and good quality. The cafe is a superb place to relax and enjoy a treat with someone special. They even welcome dogs into the cafe!
Tim J: Well stocked with a pretty decent range of plants and the usual garden centre card and gift offerings. Prices were relatively high - apparently if you have one of their loyalty card you get 10% off.

Plant Shop Manchester: what do users think?
Jack Donovan: Came across this hidden gem today and was amazed at the range of plants available, and the great prices! What stood out most is that the customer service was amazing and the lady could not of been more helpful and kind, i highly reccomend you visit this place!
Prop It: We love The Plant Shop!We know we're in safe hands when hunting down specialist plants for our set designs with these guys. The guys at the shop provide excellent personalised care and bespoke buying services which is really useful when we can't get down to the shop ourselves. They're also well priced and have loads of unusual items, always a plus for us!Would 100% recommend them to anyone buying plants for business use or for home decor.
Fiona Reynolds: Brilliant shop. Having bought a lovely Swiss Cheese plant last September (and it's thriving), I was back to stock up today... primarily on plants for a dark room with poor light but then I got tempted by more. Gorgeous range of plants. Great advice. Good chat. Thanks a lot.
Rich DP: Great little gem with some really nice plants and accessories. I got a discount code to use on my next purchase.
Sally Barrett: Love this shop! Had a few plants delivered and I fully recommend it. A lovely person delivered the plants with a smile, really friendly, and the plants were so nicely wrapped and presented. Good prices and gorgeous plants!
Ste Lowry: Lovely selection of plants/cacti/succulents. New plants and pots come in to the store frequently so plenty of variety too. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Aaron Miller: The customer service is amazing and the plants are great quality and at a really good price.
Cole Rycroft: Bought a wonderful cactus at my uni plant sale event would’ve rated 5 stars but 16.95 is a bit too much to be charging a student at a student event apart from that a very nice lady and top quality plant
Richard Peake: Thank you Emma for being so helpful! I recently worked with Plant Shop Manchester on a bulk order of gift bags for a corporate event. Emma was great throughout and the gifts went down very well! Happy to use their gifting service again.
Fraz Khan: Emma was great in helping to source a bespoke Pachira Aquatica for me. I was looking for a particularly large one and she dealt with the suppliers, sourced a beautiful specimen and delivered it to my door. I couldn't be more pleased 😸
Emma Dewhurst: Love the selection of plants in here and the shop dog is a bonus ❤️ The employees are lovely to chat to as well and they have always given me good care advice about the plants I have bought.
Emma Reynolds: Same day delivery was excellent - perfect for a last minute gift. Definitely recommend and will use again.
Ethan Dent: Great selection of plants at very reasonable prices, the woman who was working there on the day was extremely nice. Can't recommend this place enough!
Ryan Adolpho: Discovered this place by chance walking through the old town. This has now become my local plant shop. Great quality plants and service. They even provide advice on how to care for the plants. Even ones not purchased from the shop. Recommend this place!
Face revival at 10k subs: Fabulous independent shop. The lady was very knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful. Over the moon with my purchases. Thank you so much ☺️
Amanda Barokh: This is a welcoming eco-friendly independent shop with a great selection of plants and interesting original products. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. An excellent place to pick a gift or expand your plant collection.

María Francisca Torres Pacheco: This is already my favourite plant shop! They are very kind and explain to me everything that i need to know about my new plants 3 If I could I would give more stars :)
Cameron Watling: Best prices, quality plants and to top that off, very knowledgeable staff. Will be going regularly. What a find
Martin Taylor: I was on the brink of committing herbicide on my lovely Kentia Palm by attempting a re-pot in winter. Luckily l, Emma was there with splendid advice to steer me down the road to horticultural redemption. Nice online shop with some lovely products. Thanks again.
Brother Grim: My first purchase from here. Really happy. A vibrant, healthy plant delivered promptly at a fair price. Thank you. Definitely recommended.

Birch Garden Centre: what do users think?
Becky Turner: The sheds are fantastic quality, really sturdy and well made. I was nervous that they were going to be way too expensive for our budget, but they ended up being cheaper than B&Q and much better quality! Great service and installation too. Would highly recommend.
chris jackson: Great place will definitely visit soonVery friendly staff too
M S: Just doesn't respond back to issues! Very poor when I paid £3k for a custom made shed. Avoid!Emailed numerous times about my shed which I bought in November last year 2021. Purchased it and had a 6 month wait, only to be told 3 days before the install date it would be delayed another month due to both the installers getting covid at the time. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited another month. They installed it on a wet February day and since then, the base on the shed has shrunk and the tongue and groove base is no longer any use. See photos. I believe these sheds aren't treated properly as it's literally 6 months old and this his how it looks. I've reached out to the company and zero response on both emails. I've had to fix it myself by installing osb board on top of the base. This is poor when I paid 3k for a custom sized (supposedly their top quality) shed. Would certainly not recommend! The base is now starting to split inside and you can hear it when you walk on the boards. All of the reviews below seem fair to me about the lack of response after purchasing. I'd go elsewhere if to are looking for a shed/garden room.
C. Teague: Good prices, small but excellent range of sturdy sheds from wood store to high end garden office or extra room. Good service. They will install as well as supply. Very impressed.
John Rothwell: Absolute shocking and disgraceful service from Tim and Birch Garden Centre. Extremely poor communications numerous phone calls, with no reply. Eventually after chasing again, told if I wanted their mistake rectifying I had to pay for the service again. Unbelievably poor attitude and customer service. Avoid unless your prepared to be called a liar and pay for their mistakes.
David Goose: Good choice of sheds and garden buildings with very helpful staff
Geoffrey Worthington: Very helpful guy in office. Sheds look nice.
Alyson Smith-Brookes: Great products
Michael Mchugh: ¹ok for your gardening needs
Mr D: Great product and excellent quality, would of given 5 stars but mixed communication with Tim. That said Tim delivered and helped me with the fence panels to the back garden, good job to as they were very heavy. Definitely recommend just sort out the coms
Dan Sid: Avoid ordering from them - placed an order two months ago. After 2 weeks was warned of delays. 2 weeks later was told of further delays and offered a refund which I accepted. 4 weeks later this has still not materialised and all contact is ignored.
william adshead: Very helpful people to do business with
Jason Gardiner: Ordered driveway gates after a great quote online, great communication, great service and great quality, wouldn't hesitate to recommend 5*s
Mike Allen: Only a few sheds to see
Ryan Blockley: I wanted some fencing replacing quickly and good quality panels. A friend gave me contact details for Birch Garden Centre and Tim arranged a visit same day and gave me a great price. All done and fitted within a couple of days could not be more happier with service. Highly recommended.
Scott Simmons: Would highly recommend.Thanks
linda brooks: good comms did what I asked gr8 company !!!

Bud Garden Centre: what do users think?
shaiz caprio: long range of roses. very beautiful all kind of indoor out door plants.
James Raab: Great place, friendly staff. Little Manchester gem. Support a local business rather than some big faceless chain!
Danila: I've been coming here for years with my partner when we come to Manchester. Brenda is knowledgeble, super friendly and overall fantastic. She's helped us cultivate a love of plants and Bud itself is a wonderful place with a wide variety of gorgeous plants and garden trinkets. Highly recommend and may it continue to fluorish!
John Kirkham: Best place to buy plants in Manchester
Henrique Vianna Dias: Visited the garden centre for some compost and received some great advice from Barbara, who was very informative and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for helping us and your tips on how to handle our climbing honeysuckle plant
raghuveer kumawat: Hiii I am from India ( Rukmani nursery ) ..aap k plants or aap ki nursery dekh k bahut acha lega 😊😊✨✨✨✨✨
James Modley: Nice little garden centre
Michael Bell: Nice little place very friendly lady.
Rebecca Nance: A hidden gem! I visited today and bought some compost using the reusable bags. Such a beautiful little place, such welcoming staff too. I shall be back very soon to get my refills of compost.
Neil Jacob: Thank you SO MUCH for recommending the dwarf cherry tree to me yesterday my mom absolutely loved it 💕
Joanne: Very pleasant tiny garden centre with a fair bit of choice. Owner is lovely and helpful. Reusable peat-free compost bags also a great idea.
jackie hanley: Nice & small but sell lots of fruit & veg plants
Brenda Sheehy: I was looking for a particular gift for my new grand niece. Found Bud Garden Centre online , their help and service was second to none, Brenda was so patient with me and answered so many questions I had. I highly recommend Bud Garden Centre Manchester.B Murphy Ireland .
Niko M14: Very friendly and helpful staff, great range of plants + accessories for its size
Hettie: Lovely Garden Centre, the plants were all really healthy and there was a very good selection. One of the best I've been to. Would definitely come back again!
Rosie RW: Lovely garden centre. Lots of unique and unusual plants, beautiful pots and environmentally friendly soil and soil additives. The lady who runs Bud is lovely too - friendly, welcoming and knowledgable.
Emily McMahon: An absolute hidden gem. Fantastic range of plants, super helpful lady there, clearly a big part of local community. Fab
Nasr Gilani: Nice place for plants and pots. Nice customer dealing.
Doga Tasli: Lovely autumn event at the Bud Garden Centre ! Learnt how to grow some mushrooms in the garden 👍
Viz: Bijou garden centre
Jordan Wroe-Crawford: It’s a shame I’m having to write this but I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance. As a local I’ve been coming here for a while, more so over the last year for many reasons including to support a local business and to purchase things that aren’t sold in many garden centres and stores in the area.I’ve let this slide for far too long. My visit this week was the final straw. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome anywhere before.Dismissed and ignored even when asking the owner questions, made to feel like I’m causing an inconvenience, watched as I’m looking around the garden centre and a hostile attitude towards me are things I experience every time I go to Bud, for no reason. Not to mention the amount of times when I’ve tried speaking to the owner and they’ve not even bothered to turn around and speak to me. Time and time again I’ve brushed it off as me catching them on a bad day and told myself it’s fine, it happens in customer service, which it does. However when the dismissiveness, rudeness and ignorance happens unwarranted, every time, whilst seeing other people being spoken to and treated in a friendly, fair and respectful way, it becomes very difficult to take. Quite frankly, I’m beyond offended. After reading some of the other reviews, many people of a similar demographic as myself have faced the same issues, which is a real shame. I’ve also seen a lot of “I was busy” and “we have customers from all backgrounds” kind of replies to some of the reviews. Sorry, but that really isn’t going to cut it. You may as well be saying “I have friends of colour, I can’t be racist” or “I’m not racist but…”You know, some customers may not fit within your target demographic but that doesn’t mean you should be treating them any different. From a business built on ethical foundations and located in such a diverse area I’m really disappointed.Whilst I will no longer be a customer at Bud, I don’t wish for Bud’s demise, I do hope this review and the others that have raised the same issues are taken onboard and listened to.
