Dr Sarah Davies: what do users think?
Freya Shaw: Visiting Dr Sarah Davies was the best decision I ever made, she completely changed my life.I first went when I was 31 and had been feeling dizzy, light headed, woozy, exhausted and incredibly anxious. My GP ran blood tests which I took with me to my first appointment and Sarah immediately saw something critical that they had missed - my B12 levels were extremely low.Through her holistic overview of care, she has completely sorted me out! It's been 2 years since I visited and I am now able to have a normal, early 30s life, full of activity and live without anxiety.I wish everyone could go, it's the best thing you could do for yourself.
Jasmin Bugden: Dr Davies is in a league of her own. Fantastic patient care, thinks out of the box leaving no stone unturned to find your root cause. A new era in medicine and path to true health. Thank you.
Juliet Rees: Dr Sarah is amazing! In a league of her own. I cannot recommend her enough.
Karen Butler: Dr Sarah has given my daughter, now 23, her life back. After many years of suffering from anxiety, her body finally "collapsed" in April 2017. She could barely stand or speak and I had to lift a glass in order for her to even drink water. She was forced to take 2 years out of university. Through a methodical diagnostic approach, Dr Sarah identified a number of physical and environmental issues, including breaks in her Methylation Cycle (how our body make the energy it needs to work properly); Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO); poor ability to detoxify and heavy metal toxicity amongst other things.Through supplements, diet changes and some detox protocols, my daughter is now back at university, is managing full, active days, including being able to spend 6.5 hours walking up mountains in the Lake District and is fully engaged in all her previous hobbies.Dr Sarah is kind, knowledgeable and listens to her patients. I only wish we knew what we know now when my daughter was 11.
Rob Watson: When working with any health professional one of the most important things is that you trust and believe in them, and that is exactly how I feel with Dr Sarah and her team. Her knowledge and experience with complex health conditions is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been able to find the root causes to a lot of my chronic health conditions, and with her guidance, it’s given me great belief that I am on the right path towards optimal health.

Stockport Medical Group - Lowfield Surgery: what do users think?
Mr.w Ala: Worst medical facilities. Worst service. To get an appointment .
Nathan Davey: Long waits and don't get the feeling they that bothered unfortunately 😕
Tracey Maudsley: Shocking surgery. My 83 year old mum can’t get an appointment. She has to phone every day at 8am only to hear a recording saying no appointments left and to try tomorrow. Apparently this is the only way if you have no internet service. Receptionists unhelpful and uncaring. I have advised her to try to change gps asap. Utter disgrace as she has been attending this surgery for the last 50 or so years.
Sibu Thomas: Worst medical facilities. Worst service. To get an appointment patient must seek death. The attitude of nurses and staff are with height of arrogance. You neither get proper treatment or mental support, the staffs sitting there never consider patients as patients no respect/ courtesy. The doctor promises for medication and sick note but forgets. Where in the world you find all these. I would rate 0 if there is an option.
anthony rsc (anthonyrsc): Neglectful surgery.Phone off hook or ringing & ringing for days on end (Previous comment)(New Comment)Update July 2022. Have struggled for over 14 days to book an appointment. Also trying sing the NHS app I'm referred to a third party that my Doctors has chosen for the App. It’s 10:30 in the morning, and I am advised, again, to try again tomorrow to book an appointment.Screenshot for every day taken from the App to prove this. It is neglect. I only want a telephone consultation. You will result in people phoning 111 and using unnecessary resource.Wish someone could audit this surgery. It should be shut down. You’ve sent me home with a fractured foot in the past and said “Oh, if it was, you’d know about it and be in more pain”. I've had bad experience after bad.How can I call somewhere every day by 11:00 / use the NHS app to book an appointment, for 14 days straight to be unsuccessful every day to be advised every day to try the next day.Are you even open?I hope you are sued or given a wakeup call of some degree.Ridiculous.Also, when I did happen to last visit this place on a WalkInClinic, I notice the doctor was late to clinic, yet maanaged to detor by Costa coffee! Joke.
cinnamon toast: Impossible to get an appointment. The system is shut as soon as it opens. I think I’ve seen a doctor for myself there once in 4.5 years. Getting through on the phone is difficult also. Some of the reception staff are lovely and some are obnoxious. Wouldn’t recommend.
M Nicksun: CARELESS, UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!If you have a health problem, this medical group ain’t the solution. Your health would decline due to their negligence and lack of discipline and order. TOTALLY MESSED UP Medical Group! All they do, milking the NHS. THINK TWICE before registering with this lot.
Luka Eriks: The worst doctors I have ever had the unfortunate experience of attending. They have been incredibly neglectful, in all areas of my health. Never able to actually get through or even speak to a doctor, always the damn triage system, and when I finally do I usually get a letter a few months later saying my requests have been denied having had no update until then, nothing. I have waited weeks for inhalers, usually ending up in A&E because of it. Since joining this surgery two years ago I haven’t gotten a single bit of help, in fact I’d argue they’re the cause of my health declining, due to neglect. I got a letter today telling me they hadn’t gotten any update from my end about my Autism help request, when I have been waiting MONTHS for an update. It’s just a joke at this point. I would have called up to discuss this with them but I just got send to the triage system.
A Aminy: I got a prescription from hospital and gave it to GP to reffer to pharmacy .but when I went to take my proscription they easily said we lost your hospital proscription. And they don't care how important is this medicine for me. They very rudly said that they lost my paper . They are very very rude and careless . It was funniet thing in the world that Gp losing my hospital proscription . I think some one should be responsible for this.
chris cave: Its my doctors aswell
Shahid Mirza: I had Covid-19 Vaccination today. Got the Pfizer Vaccine. The whole process was very well organised and efficiently managed. They seem to have a lot of people on duty looking after patients. They guide you all along. You get the jab, wait for reaction while a member of staff records the visit and prepares the card for you to carry and bring back for next appointment in 12 weeks. I did have to wait outside in a queuefor 15 minutes before entering. Very pleased the whole experience.
JT Motiv: Just taken my grandma to lowfield surgery and the procedure by staff regarding keeping patients safe is fantastic , Lea and Jane were amazing , thank you so much , very quick service, so impressed 🙏🏻
Dot Marsden: Rings and rings then they take the phone off the hook not good enough. No
Adam Cave: Never got hold of them
Natalie: Excellent staff
ALFICASAOLVERA: This is a brilliant surgery. Excellent team of staff with 5* patient care. Helpful receptionists, brilliant doctor. Would highly recommend. I see a number of people complained about waiting but maybe one day you will be the person who is in with the doctor for 40 minutes? It is not something that can be helped and is only the sign of a good practitioner. They are a busy practice probably because they treat their patients so well. Maybe think of that before leaving a bad review because they don't pick up the phone as they probably have a patient in front of them they are dealing with and they should come first. I could not fault them in their service to my mother.
Colin Warburton: One of the hardest medical centres I've ever had to get an appointment they send you to other practices, awful service
Dean H: During a very difficult time I had not yet registered with a GP after moving to Stockport. Wendy the receptionist really could not have been more helpful, kind and professional. She managed to get me registered that day (I urgently needed to see a Doctor) and an appointment the next day. It made all the difference and I truly appreciated it.Dr Eaton was very nice too.
Susan Carroll: Saw Dr Harris on 4.4.18 with a hearing problem, I have a complicated history! She managed to get me an appointment at Stepping Hill on 12.4.18, amazing NHS, service and Dr, THANK YOU to everyone
Pam Dolan: Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. my mum now 80 rang and rang rang, no one answers! after two days of trying to talk by phone; she walked to it, with her stick, along with her osteoporosis, bad legs etc etc, frail with old age; just for her prescription!! No parking for car! So all in all utter rubbish. Took her a good half hour to get there and of course same to return home. I was so angry when she called me. Thinking of getting her to move in with me, here in the High Peak area!
Amanda Kennedy: Even though the doctors, nurses and receptionists are great, trying to get in touch with the doctors on the phone is a JOKE! I phone and it goes straight to answer phone with a message that they're closed and they're opening times monday-friday 8.30-6. I wouldn't mind it's Thursday and lunchtime!!!

Stockport Medical Group - Edgeley Medical Practice: what do users think?
Jessica Kettle: Horrific practice impossible to get an appointment and also hospitalised my son on their bad advice!!!
Dominique Dalton: Got through to make a booking very fast, convenient online booking service which works occasionally.Nurse that I saw was really chatty and professional.Only points to improve on would be to improve the online booking availability and update the decor.
Monika G: I am very happy with my surgery. Staff is very friendly. Booking everywhere is the same i think. They always call me back the same day i request appointment with further details. Every visit in person was really good experience.
Ghazala Chughtai: Today Review(11/04/23).I was given an appointment for my blood test for today at 7:00 a.m. When the receptionist was giving this appointment,I verified the time with her and she said we will be open so don't worry. I trusted her. I did told her that because of Ramadan, I will not fast on the day so I want to be sure.(I need to drink lots of water to be hydrated )Today when I went to the clinic,it was closed. Now when a patient doesn't show up then NHS money is wasted but when they do the same then ..?I didn't slept after my morning prayers so I will be there at time ( didn’t slept for 20 hours now) and I didn't fast but this surgery doesn't care.I have put my prescription request and still it is not send to my pharmacy. This medical group think themselves as gods so they can treat patients as they wish. After a month waiting for my blood tests day , and it did happened.I register myself here by seeing some of the good reviews but I am really disappointed with the clinic. In past 3 years I was lucky twice to get an appointment with a G.P otherwise, getting a G.P is like a miracle. The doctor never try to discuss your tests . I am suffering with lots of health issues but I don't have a glue, how to get an appointment.(November 2022 )
Eva Robinson: It is probably best to call 111 if you need medical help as they are alot nicer and can recommend you to the best places. I had to come here 3 times when I was 10 years old just so they could decide I needed to go to A&E. But, it's not the staffs' fault. My doctor was extremely kind! She tried to figure out what was wrong with me and she understood I didn't feel well, and she was very patient with me. I would recommend coming to here as they give a more accurate diagnosis than an out of hours doctors, but that doesn't mean all places are bad, and the place I went to wasn't bad, it just gave the wrong diagnosis. The building I am talking about is Mastercall. Amazing place though.
Kate: I have always appreciated how hard it must be to manage a surgery but I will now be looking for a new surgery. Not telling me I cannot have my medication and need a review but cannot fit me in for a least 8 weeks and they will call me, no time on the day. When I explained I am in work I was told they don't have times to call. I will now be without medication and hoping I am free on that morning. Really disappointing. If you are lucky enough to get a telephone appointment the call is never made in the time allotted. This is very difficult in a work environment when you expect a call in a 3 hour window and never receive it. If you are then busy at work and cannot answer it is seen as you were not available. Really really really poor and will be looking for a new Dr and medical practice. Please avoid if you are looking for a surgery!
Chloe Wilkins: Not fit for purpose - awful service, and doctors that cannot be bothered quite frankly/ don’t seem to know enough. Can’t help. Major complaint pending. Had to go private to get any assistance.
Karl Wright: Can't get an appointment. Go in person and they tell you to book online, go online and it says urgent medical care only. I've been in limbo for 9 months now, I will be registering with a new surgery
Tom Ward: The worst booking system I've ever seen. You have to fill out an online form. And by the time you have filled it out. The webpage has timed out. And no longer accepting appointments. I don't know what the doctors are actually doing but there is no way all the appointments are taken across three surgeries in less than 10 minutes. And the receptionists I don't understand the purpose of their job??? They do absolutely nothing..
natasha Wilson: Too difficult to get an appointment now to see anyone, been trying to get an appointment all week ringing since 8am, no wonder some people go and sit in a&e because they can’t see their gp.
Adri: Speachless
LEE YEREX: One of the worst surgeries I’ve ever experienced. Never have appointments. Want you to ring on the day for appointments. Don’t ring you back. Prescribe addictive medication then refuse to help you come off it. Told them over and over I don’t need anti depressants yet they constantly suggest anti depressants. Your addicted to the anti depressants you don’t need and are making you think of suicide as a logical thought process you say? Here why not have these antidepressants to replace those??? 🤡 ring at 759am line busy for 53 subsequent attempts. Finally get through at 8,09 no appointments left! Unfit for purpose!
Raul Mateo Jerez: Absolutely disgrace. Hours waiting with excuses of emergencies all the time. Awful place.
Jenny Drayton: Rubbish
Sophie Winstanley: So difficult to get a appointment and now you just get the odd response over text. You can send one reply then have to wait again to speak to another GP!Diabolical
Wayne Thompson: The appointment booking system isn't fit for purpose. Tried for days to get an appointment, only to be told call back next day. There are numerous bad reviews on here about this, so everyone can see the problem including the partners. So it's going to take governmental regulatory changes in the law to force surgeries to improve standards.
Lara Green: Never able to get an appointment. The dr's are very judgemental and ignore the facts you are trying to give them in place of their own biased opinion based on how you look.
Jordan Etches: Absolutely the worst, only do same. Day appointments for GP, need to book gp appointment for allergies and to discuss the options after a severe reaction to a bite. Told to call back next day for appointment the same day. Absolutely awful service and ran shockingly. Will be moving to another gp, stay clear if you can.
Natalie: Always have a good experience here. Staff are friendly and helpful, plus I've never waited longer than 5 mins to be called in for my appointment. I find the online system really easy to use. Yes it can be difficult to get an appointment but that isn't the surgery's fault - blame the gov for cutting funds!
Emma Marsden: Never felt so neglected and ignored by any doctor ever in my life!
Steph Jones: I've recently changed to SMG after having very unhelpful invalidating doctors for years elsewhere. I've found the clinicians and the reception staff to be really helpful and I've never had a problem with the online booking system. Would recommend.

Shaw Heath Health Centre: what do users think?
Natalia Kanas: As if the booking system wasn’t already a nightmare, they have gone and made it even worse. Want to speak to a receptionist? You can’t anymore, thanks to this amazing new system! Fill in a questionnaire online and the GP will review it within 2 DAYS. Are you telling us we are no longer able to see a GP on the same day? Now we will have even more people scrambling to the A&E for simple things such as infections that require an antibiotic, as they can’t get seen by the bloody GP in time.
Claire Abercrombie: This practice has really gone down hill. I can never get an appointment. I am always told to ring back at 8am. I can’t ring back at 8am because that is when I start work. I rang this surgery a few weeks ago to make an appointment only to be told that there are no available slots and to ring at the end of the month. Terrible terrible service.
Kaz: When I moved to this area, I called in and asked to register here. The receptionist literally tutted and rolled her eyes at me. I said 'Excuse me!' She then said 'You need to fill in the form and I'll need to see documented proof. Do you have it on you?' as she stood there leaning forward. It sounded like a threat rather than a question. What a horrible witch! There was absolutely no need for her rudeness.I googled other practices and went to Cale Green surgery where there wasn't a problem whatsoever. Also, they answer the phone within one minute.
Aaron Moore: How am I waiting 35 minutes on hold, when I’m number 1 in the queue from the very start?
John Graham: Apart from the minor hicupThe staff were faultless. As I'd arrived early the receptionist even made me a coffee.Top marks
Kevin Mo: Been here once or twice in the last 15 years and i think they receptionists are great and the doctor was pretty young but was still experienced, couldn’t fault her. Receptionist greeted me nicely and told we what i need to do with no attitude. There was a delay for 15 mins but thats ok. Spent about 8 to 10mins with the doctor to explain my problem, how long i’ve had the issue and what i’ve tried so far. She agreed that I’ve done everything I can and she told me that she’ll refer me to a specialist and was honest with me and to expect a long wait. She also offered me to see the nurse the in practice to see if there are treatment they can do in the meantime while waiting for the referral. I can’t anything more to be honest, they’ve done there best!.
piyush parekh: Excellent very friendly staff 👏
Gail Gage: Shaw Heath health center. Been going for over 30 yrs Drs have always been extremely good
Hayley Tomlinson: Have been in this practice for 20 years and the reception staff they have now are nothing shirt of rude who discriminate towards patients with mental health issues, in particular a lady called Clare, who not only patronised me but hung up on me when I asked to make a complaint. Left me.without medication for 2 weeks now.
Rob Thompson: Dreadful place, a telephone booking system which puts you in a queue for ages, followed by no appointments. The reception team must have been trained to work in a North Korean gulag and repeat prescriptions delayed until you run out of medication. Avoid!
Greg “Gregod” Snee: Don't ever register with this GP, it's almost impossible to get a same day appointment even if you ring at 8 in the morning. I have been trying for 5 days now and either got lied to saying we will get the GP to put a note to get an emergency prescription which never happened. Or they will hang up on you straight away when you ask for 1 minute to turn your volume up as they are having technical issues. Not to mention when I was in one day for an appointment with my daughter they were insulting people who after hanging up on a patient the reception staff didn't seem to like.Disgusting behaviour really.
Majid Lotfi: I had blood test, I saw nurse took cotton from floor ,when I told her don’t use it, she was angry on me.I reported to reception but they didn’t say nothing. Just look at my hand after one week.for your health better going somewhere else.😡😡😡
Samantha Tipton: New telephone system is not fit for purpose. 15th in the queue for 30 minutes only to get through to be cut off. Not acceptable. Then when eventually get through no appointments available and told to ring back
Kevin Lloyd: I have been a patient at this surgery since it moved from Edgeley Road, the receptionists are always very helpful, it was once easy to make an appointment but since they installed the new telephone system is has become diabolical in that you are told where you are in the queue but then after 20 or so minutes and reaching number 2 you are suddenly cut off, if you try to ring again you find that you are back at a high queue number again, its not very user friendly and would advise if you want to make an appointment to visit the surgery in person.
Debby Jones: Some of the reception staff are very helpful and go above and beyond to help I have no issues with them. What I have got an issue with is the diabolical new phone system . Many times it has taken over an hour to get through which is frankly unacceptable, the receptionists always used to answer the phone very quickly before this new system. The last straw today was my husband rang at 8am yesterday morning, 15th in the queue ! He was waiting for 30 minutes to be told there were no more on the day phone calls left so it was arranged a Dr would ring him this afternoon. Because my husband was anxious and in pain I rang at 3pm to ask what time it would be and was told he shouldn't have been told a Dr would ring today as this won't happen. So we now have to try all over again tomorrow or wait 2 weeks for a bookable appt. How is this fair when someone is in pain ? I would be grateful if someone from the surgery would respond to this
Bruna Caciari: I would like to register my indignation with the service provided by Shaw Heath GP - SK3. My husband, my daughter, and I have been registered for this GP since 2019, and today, March 12, 2021, my husband needed assistance and we called as usual. To our surprise, he is simply no longer registered with the GP. We have never been to any other GP. The attendants gave no alternative to his question. We were treated coldly over the phone and in person. Nobody gave any alternative but to register again with the GP and wait until approval again. I cannot express my indignation in words. What should I do to ensure that we are attended to when we need it? It is a right that has been taken away from him. How can I be sure that this will not happen again? It is absurd to have to think about it. Adding that his name was registered incorrectly by that same GP three times. At all times we had to go in person and show the documents that the responsible person typed in the wrong way, even adding non-existent names. My husband is in a lot of pain and inflammation in the neck area, he is so inflamed that the pharmacy did not want to pass any medicine and he immediately sent him to the GP. And the GP insists that the only thing to be done is to wait.
Paul new: Very rude staff.
Cath O: Review ONLY on the inability to get through via phone since they had the new phone system in August 2020 !! absolutely appalling, each time I call I'm 6/7 in the queue and wait up to 30 minutes !! THIS IS ANY TIME OF DAY I have no idea what's happened as the receptionists would answer the calls pretty quickly when we were allowed to call directly to them... Really is quite bad and am considering moving docs due to this. Dr Bayes pls sort this !!!
Judy Robinson: I am a new patient, having just moved to the area. On the negative side, my registration forms which contained quite personal information were initially lost and my phone number was entered incorrectly and not corrected when the mistake was picked up. On the positive side, a very helpful man dealt with me when I rang recently and everything concerning my visit for a flu jab was just as it should have been
Melanie Rodd: Doctors are great. I can't say the same for the reception staff unfortunately. Rude, unhelpful and incompetent.
Jieyi Xie: Super helpful staff and doctors
