The Cracked Actor Bar: what do users think?

Elektra: My favourite bar in Stocky. I LOVE this place and it's actually what prompted me to move to the area from Manchester. It's small and full of characters, everyone is chatty and friendly, you get dogs, old and young folk alike and just a quirky crowd. Best selection of really interesting craft beers. Great location for people watching. My top choice of the bars in this group.
Simon Handley: Limited seats, pricey beer, one toilet. Nothing special, many better options in Stockport.
Brian: A quirky type of real ale bar with a bolero type of French bistro wooden chairs.Great atmo and range of beers.Plus an amazing choice of memorable hip background music which was the icing on the cake. The bar and cabinets are a work of art.Just beware the steep stairs to the upstairs loo where there is also additional seating.Definitely a place worthy of repeat visits.
OnlyGlans JustTheTip: Phenomenal bar. Best beer we drank in Stockport all day. Brilliant.
Michael Grzeskowiak: A very quirky bar on hillgate in Stockport

Elektra: Big fan of all the Joe owned bars in Stockport and looking forward to him taking over the town and becoming Lord Mayor or Emperor.Glass spider is lovely and cosy, has more room compared to Cracked Actor. Queens Head: what do users think?
Jay Bowden: The only thing interesting about this place was the long walk up the stairs for the toilet 😂
Charles Lunt: The Queen's Head. I do not intend to cross the threshold again. To my mind any publican who has so little regard for the welfare of their customers does not deserve mine nor anyone else's custom.
Rob Lupton: Great little pub.
Christine Millard: Lovley pub and staff made you feel do welcome
David lovett: Great tittle bar in Stockport
John Kirkham: Excellent well run pub. Nice welcome great pint and value
gary smith: Go back in time ,Atmospheric building , Decent beer ,Cheaper than the local brew
Scythe Higgerson: i when to the queens head it was exquisite till we got on that bed and she said hiyahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Scottishlass78: It was cheap enough and plenty of character but we didn't feel overly welcome
Simon Stafford: In front of the open fire, chatting g to people I have never seen before, no techinspires conversation. Great pub. And they now take card
Joanne Lewis: Fantastic little pub ! Old stockport very traditional friendly and good beer! Everyone should pop in have an half and keep this pub going ! Keep the history going x
Behind The Counter: The lady behind the bar serving I'm not sure if she was the Landlady or not was wearing pyjamas. Also disclosing she has or just had flu. Shocking on the verge of Christmas. This decorum is forbidden at the school gates never mind in a historical Public House. Knock it on the head.
Alan: Very warm and friendly pub. No mobile phones allowed which is brilliant. My kids(adults) were with us and chatted away more than I've seen before. Pleasant staff, nice fire, very clean and cosy. A little gem.
Vashti Jellis: Hadn't been here in years, but it hadn't changed, thankfully. Warm, welcoming and friendly. Always get a ghost story too. A Stockport institution.
Carol Rotherham: My family were visiting and I took them to what used to be a quaint old pub.The Landlady was so drunk that she couldn't stand up. Her language was disgusting. She was loud, abusive and embarrassing. I was afraid to walk past her. This dreadful experience cost £20. So sad that a piece of history is in this womans hands
Mr Dempsey: Fantastic pub! Plenty of old world charm, great beers and fantastic hosts! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Stockport!
Carl Fletcher: Good Beer
Dominic Ainsworth: Great pub. Great beer. Great staff.
Mark H: Bit pricey but like the no phone rule. Back to good old fashioned talking! Worth a visit.
michael west: A good old fashioned pub, no fruit machines or juke boxes. It has a strict no mobile phone policy, so no keep them discreet in here. Lovely landlord with a good local knowledge. A very friendly pub.
Mary Hartley: Quaint old pub. Real ale. Tech free zone.

The Magnet Freehouse: what do users think?
Damien Boland: Lived in the stockport area for 37 years and have never visited the Magnet free house so glad I did. What a nice little pub great selection of real ales, beers and ciders excellent beer garden with cover and a decked area in the sun that has its own pizza shack there is also a little terrace on a higher level. Staff really friendly and helpful and also noticed that they support kidneys for life charity which is close to my heart GREAT PUB in the heart of stockport well worth a visit
Ben Fountain: the Magnet continues part COVID to be a beer destination AND a classic pub. Impossible? Sooner might think bit of contrived to have a great beer selection, pizzas available several nights and a great selection of ales. dog friendly too.
Simon Gill: It is still the best pub in the world. That is the review.
Paul Godfrey: Loved the pubs atmosphere.
Christopher Keenan: Good atmosphere, friendly staff great range of drinks
Walter Man: Good atmosphere, nice staff with plenty of ales, lagers to choose from with good range of wines and spirits.
The Skint Fisherman: What a lovely place to have a pint just a proper pub with good vibes 5 star
Jay Bowden: It’s a pub that sources many of its beers from micro-breweries — so don’t expect many (if any) of your staple drinks on draught… but if you go there with an open mind, then you won’t be disappointed
Joshua Aspinall: Consistently the best beer menu in Stockport and Manchester, lots of choice, and genuine variety. More than just a wall of modern IPAs like a lot of places, but they have plenty of those too. Good selection of ABVs, cheap as chips, and great pizza at weekend, there's no need to go anywhere else.
Simon Lees: Super pub and not what I expected given its location on the ‘orrible A6 out of Stockport. Great range of beers and really top notch friendly service. A good pool table at the back too and amazingly they have decent cues with proper tips! The Bittburger Pils is a fantastic pint. Will visit again and have recommended to friends. 👍🏼🍺
David Cobbin: Great pub with great selection of ales.
Stephen Blythe: Good changing variety of well kept ale.Busy, but generally not too hard to find a seat.Great!
Christopher Thompson: Excellent choice of real ales.
Jonathan Bradshaw: Great pub for weird and wonderful beers. Come here a lot.
Nick Little: What a great pub! A superb selection of beers and other drinks. A lovely pub atmosphere where we as strangers turned up and it wasn't a big deal. Really enjoyed the visit 👍 Nice and busy on a Monday evening too.
Marc Grundy: Great pub, cracking choice of beers. Dog and kid friendly too.
Gerard Hynes: Great pub, great selection of beers and great staff but too many noisy yapping smelly dogs.
C Burton: A great selection of beers & LARGER at good prices no telly but a pool table and great outdoor decking, well worth a visit, worth the walk from the Stockport bus station 10min up the A6 past the old Debenham towards Manchester
Nina Hindley: Always good beers well kept nice staff. Gets busy
Adam Smith: Great independent pub. Some fantastic beers on tap, great pizza too. A must visit for any lover of craft.
Neil Sellers: Always good beers and great service
