Alma Lodge Hotel & Restaurant Stockport Manchester: what do users think?
Mick Coates: Clean and tidy hotel, well located for Stockport town centre.
Ian “George59” D: Excellent, conveniently placed hotel with comfortable rooms and great buffet breakfast.
Linking Up Derby: Stayed for One Night at this restaurant as it was booked late last minute. I am really pleased with the stay as the staff were very friendly and were really helpful everytime I spoke to them from the ladies at Front of House Evening and Morning Staff including the friendly man who was downstairs throughout the evening. We also had breakfast which was a good choice of options👌 If you need a hotel to stay I would recommend this place.
Mike Garrett: Guy at reception very pleasant. A nice feel to the hotel. Don’t expect too much but it’s clean and functional and excellent value. Bar and breakfast looked good but I didn’t try them. Good parking. Basically impressed, also reflected on the other reviews here.
Nermin Hasan: nice clean & calmRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Karina Azhikhan: Персонал просто "золото" - помогают по любому вопросу, очень приветливы. Их отношение затмевает некоторые недостатки в оснащении.
danser01: Staff are nice, rooms are clean, dining facilities are good.Breakfast was decent - great mushrooms!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
John Sims: Very dated on the inside, but the bed was incredibly comfy
Cameron Muir-Jones: My go to hotel when back visiting my old school (SGS)
Cary James: Breakfast wasn't great. Limited choice and not particularly appetizing.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jeff Sassalle: Hôtel ancien. Très propre 👍. accessibilité par escalier. Juste 1 étage. Accueil sympathique a la réception
Bob Elliott: Poor service, and they've yet to reply to my letter of complaint.
Caroline Armitage: Good food and friendly staff. Cannot comment on rooms as we attended an event.Food & drinks: We attended a taster evening for the new refurbished restaurant on 31st March. The food was lovely and well presented. The restaurant has been redecorated and is clean, fresh and tables are well spaced out. The staff are the same, welcoming, efficient and professional. Will certainly be returning.

Holiday Inn Express Stockport, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Ben Mather: Great night's sleep, only issue was breakfast was paid, but we left at 4:30 am for work, so they promised us a breakfast to go bag, great, shame they forgot and made us one up and it was a tiny muffin and a few bits of fruit, also night staff seemed out of it!? Day staff ware great and helpful thoughRooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly, High-tech …More
Shahid Bari: Enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was included. Staff was friendly. We did pass our compliments to Hotel Manager.Highly recommend.Rooms: exceptionally clean roomNearby activities: Next to Rail Station and Shopping Mall. Bus and Taxis next to the hotel.Walkability: Beautiful landscape around.
Stefan Merget: Schönes modernes Hotel direkt am Bahnhof mit Anbindung nach Manchester.
Gnana Sekaran: Rooms are good, but very limited dinner menu. Breakfast is ok ok.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Tony Head: Good, clean rooms food 👌 very kind and helpful staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Ravi Kumar: Not even bother to respond customer request, very dissatisfied with a level of serviceNoteworthy details: Noteworthy to stay
Simeon Grundy: Hotel is extremely clean, staff very polite and approachable.Breakfast is standard HIE affair cooked/continental and juices. Breadbuns sadly were stale. Additionally the restraunt in the evening was Uber busy with only one chef, so very very long wait for food - food was nice when it arrived but for me took far too long. Management need to ensure their staff are supported adequately. Also had youths running riot down the corridors most of the evening - says a lot about the adults who were supposed to be overseeing them.
Stephen Houghton: Excellent place ,spotlessRooms: Spacious and extremely cleanNearby activities: Everything within easy walking distanceSafety: Very safeWalkability: EasyFood & drinks: Breakfast excellent, drinks very reasonable
James and Cassie: Room was reasonably comfortable but rather tired, with a number of stains to the walls/furnishings, missing a curtain (meaning we were woken up by the sun), and the bathroom decorations starting to severely deteriorate.Breakfast buffet was adequate, but was slow being restocked. Similarly, the furniture in the dining area is more suited for use as a cafe rather than a restaurant.
Peter Evans: Very, very, comfortable hotel.Room was very well prepared, and Spotlessly clean.Great location if you're using Stockport, and the station.
Patricia McNally: Pleasant outlook. Breakfast self-service excellent. Staff very friendly and efficientRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
John Ferguson: Food & drinks: Food was poor we had an evening meal of Thai curry rice and nan bread , the curry was quite bland ,the rice was only warm and the nan bread was dry and crispy .we ordered a portion of fries with the skins on , we got a portion of warm fries which were just like they'd come from mc Donald's. Our breakfast in the morning was , bacon undercooked sausage ok eggs were only warm and only scrambled ,hash browns warm and greasy, no other choices available ,even bread was only white and a bit dry .
Marin: A nice new hotel in Stockport. There is no fitness or gym in the hotel. However, there is a public gym and pool just around the corner, which you can pay privately. Ask hotel for discount.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More

Zizzi: what do users think?
Christ Almighty!: Completely tasteless food, and extortionate prices for what you get 👎🏻Will not be recommending to friends and family. Also they don't take cash 👎🏻
Rupert Martin: A wet evening, made me pop in and im glad i did. A lovely kind team looked after me.The truffle pizza was a great as the recommendation. Some days im sure this is very busy, but not during my visit.
Otis Mathews: Came in earlier this afternoon 26th May 2023 17:00pmAfter being shown to a table, we were instantly left for over 25 minutes before a member of staff came over to ask if we were ready to order food, which was very odd as there were only 5 tables occupied in the entire place, although the 4 staff serving were polite enough, it didn't account for much, as we hadn't even been offered any drinks until our starters came out 40 minutes after we arrived, which obviously is nowhere near good enough. My party was a table of 6, and everyone commented about how tasteless and extremely basic the food was, nowhere near worth the extortionate prices for what you get here.Drink prices are extremely overpriced too for what they are.£6,95 for a bottle of beer.£7,95 for a small strawberry daiquiri, that tasted like lime juice.£3,45 for a piddly little 250ml can of flawsome apple and sour cherry cheap tasting pop.We had 3 vouchers worth £49 each, so the remaining cost we had cash for, and were not advised on entry that they only accept card payment, not cash, wich made it extremely awkward at the end whilst trying to pay normally.Had I known it was card only on entering, I would of happily walked away and gone elsewhere to begin with.Would not recommend to anyone, bad experience!
Leslie Nielsen: Nice staff, but they don't take cash.Won't be returning!Cash is king 🤴
joan holroyd: Friendly staff ,long wait for food not enough variety for wheat free dietsFood: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Helen Key: Had pasta had to send it back twice because it was cold. 3rd time lucky and was tasty. Manager very nice and apologetic and didn't charge me for my mealFood: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Robin Douglas: Not a bad place for food. The kids' meals are a bargain. For what you get.The only issue we had was that there was a table of 15 people who monopolised the waiting staff and it took a long time to get served. To be fair, this might have been because not enough waiting staff were working. But when the three waiting staff are only serving the large group. The rest of the restaurant had no choice but to wait.Nice food, but from my experience, I would look elsewhere before returning.
Dave “DRX” Rogers: Must be honest, the staff were very helpful and friendly, but the food was not great. The ravioli was a little bland and the baked pasta was very hard and almost like chewing plastic,I hate leaving bad reviews but I only give honest opinions.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Dominic Pratt: Great time really good staff will be going g back soonDietary restrictions: Asked if we had anyFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pasta Bolognese, Gelato, Lasagne …More
Laura Stafford: Excellent service Saturday evening. Delicious food. Highly recommend the goats cheese garlic bread!! 😋Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
james scott: Visited 28th April 2023.Visited zizis as part of a weekend away, once we'd ordered our meals it became quickly apparent that the restaurant was severely understaffed. No bar staff. Two waitresses and a waiter who appeared to be helping between the kitchen and the restaurant. What made this worse was the staff also had to attend to multiple deliveroo collections at seemingly the time of the customers in the restaurant. After fifty minutes of ordering our meal, the food came. Perfectly edible and warm. But not worth the fifty minutes wait. We asked for drinks at that point, of which the waiter wrote down but the drinks never came.I did feel sorry for the staff who when I asked if they were understaffed admitted they were. but I also think they should have been trained to explain to incoming customers of the wait and situation.
Natalie F: Although ive only rated zizzi Stockport 4 stars...I would still recommend a visit. The food was nice and was good value for money, big portion sizes. Definitely recommend you give the cheesy garlic bread with balsamic onions a whirl...was delicious. The young lady that served us was very professional and friendly but was on her own and had so much to do so service was a little slow, thus obviously wasnt her fault they need to hire more staff. All in all it was good but could improve!
Wayne Mellor: Dreadful service. Meal cold. First time of tring won't bother again.Food: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Steve Oliver: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Lee Chapman: Pretty much what you expect from chains like this and similar, slightly overpriced but sadly no burger option for the people that didn't have a say on where we dined. Ordered of the kids menu in the end!Kid-friendliness: Caters for kids
Hen S: Really slow serviceFood: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5Recommended dishes Gelato …More
Amberley Walker: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Cassie Earl: Terrible food, slow service, to their credit, when we mentioned the food wasn't good, they did try their best to make up for that, but I definately wouldn't return. Vastly overpriced for pretty awful food.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Megan Marië: We visited today for the first time and were very happy with our experience, the food was lovely, great value for money, and our server Nicole couldn’t have done more for us, she was very knowledgable on gluten free options and this made our visit a lot easier than we would normally have at other restaurants so thank you!!
Claire Clark: Sharing platter is AMAZING !!!
Nick Blomeley: A little disappointed with our visit, last time we came top marks, this time...hmm..we arrived and the place wasn't busy, but the staff were busy, so we sat down in a booth near the bar, 10 minutes later, no one had acknowledged us, until we caught the attention on a waitress, she ask us if we had been given any menus, to which we replied not as yet, until another staff member, I assumed more senior, arrived abruptly with the menus and went on to say we should have waited as we have to ask you about allergens and then seat you at the table, we tried to explain that at the time of arrival we saw everyone was busy, and that last time we were there we just choose our own seats! In a huff, she left the embarrassed waitress waiting for our order and turned tail and left! Not a nice first impression! Eventually when we did get our foods, the garlic cheese was burnt underneath, yes we should of said something but following our first contact choose not too. Other similar pizza restaurants around us were busier than this, and to be honest, you can tell why, manners cost nothing, first incounter costs a lot, I certainly won't be coming to this branch on Stockport again, we spent over £100, and usually visit 3 to 4 times a year, your loss. Dinner be warned.

Phil Foster: Second time here after a poor service a few weeks ago.It was a bit quieter today and service was better, however, we asked for a couple of plates of tapas to come out first but all the food came out together.Food was tasty, well cooked and spicy where it should be.Staff were polite but didn't really engage other than to take your order and clean your table. No chat or smiles. We had a couple of cocktails that were very nice but my Espresso Martini had a better head than my previous pint of beer.A nice place to grab a tasty dish or two but you will need to bring your own atmosphere.
