Dexter H: This place is a joke.The have one maybe two people on the tills with about 10 other people knocking around whilst there’s a que of people out the door. Elderly women clearly struggling to stay on their feet.When you finally get your opportunity to discuss your own money the woman I dealt with was very confrontational and disinterested then suddenly perked up when trying to pitch me a mortgage and savings account.Bad bad service.

Lindsey Heslin: It doesn't even deserve a one star!I needed to open my daughter a junior isa, I filled it out online and had to go to branch with ID. My daughter has additional needs, when I got to the bank I explained this and asked could I let her wait outside and for me to complete setting the account up. I was told yes. I waited for 15 minutes and was told the reference number for my online application wasnt working and could I come upstairs to do the application from scratch. The lady started and i had to watch videos only for her to get to a point and say oh your daughter does need to be here and you will have to watch the videos all over again. So I had to call her in which was very difficult for her to do. She watched the videos and answered questions bearing in mind I'd been there now for 45 mins only to be told all the ID I had brought wasn't actually good enough amd they needed her blue badge which was in the car. I was less than impressed! I was told that's all they needed if I bring in it, it can then be sorted.2 days later which is today I took the blue badge in with my daughter again who was highly anxious about the whole thing only to be told infact they needed proof of address and nothing I had was ok even though the lady yesterday ticked the box and said it was all fine! Are you joking! So I still couldn't open a junior isa. The staff are all saying different things, they don't seen competent in their jobs and are wasting peoples time even more so when I told them about my daughters extra needs, I am furious and will be making a complaint and I've opened an isa with the Halifax which had no problem with the ID I had. Avoid at all costs! I will be making a formal complaint.

I don't actually understand what branches are even for anymore, because if their not trying to direct you to a machine when you've explained you'd rather do something face to face with a person, they then tell you actually sorry we cant do that in branch you have to call this number that's off-shore who haven't got a clue what you're asking for. If you're just going to re-direct everyone to a number where you end up waiting over 90+ minutes to get through to someone, then get rid of useless branches like Stockport. Gone the days when people actually gave good service and wanted to help others.

Sean Davey: Most branches barring the Stockport branch are now gone so if you need to make a cash deposit which was available via the old Cheadle branch till, you now have to travel into Stockport town and endure a parking nightmare if driving, and guess what? When you get there having avoided the various scroats, chavs and muggers littered around the indoor zoo (aka Merseyway) you find that the paying in tills are inside and subsequently locked from twelve onwards on a Saturday. Being the only day that you can do this if you are unfortunate enough to have to work for a living then you are locked into a week of overdraft charges. See what they did there.
Sue Woods: Lloyds bank are NOT by your side in any shape or form, we have been let down by stockport branch very badly, wouldn't even accept a cash deposit off a "3rd party " which we needed in the account for a deposit on a house. They don't know what trouble they have now caused us with their pathetic little rules.

The women who served us was friendly and very helpful, sorted out our problem and given us a recent bank statement, just so my girlfriend can keep tabs on where her money is going.

I have been in a few times over the years with minor queries and everything is too much trouble for them. This branch is way behind the Manchester city centre branch for customer service.

Joanna Li: Very mean lady at the counter, 1st lady told my elderly mother she had to have two identifications instead of the usual one so we had to go home and come back out again, then the 2nd lady never asking for two identifications, total waste of time and petrol. No apologies. I asked to her if she could speed up as my mother also needed to go to another bank which was closing earlier than Halifax, she randomly thought I asked her to skip steps and procedures, no! I asked her to speed up. She took half an hour in the end! Very slow, not very understanding and cold the staff here.
David Smith: Applying for a Halifax mortgage and our conveyances asked us to certify our ID.We both bank with Halifax, but the lady in the Stockport branch at the customer services desk outright refused to help us!We then drove to the Ashton Under Lyne branch where the lady at the customer services desk was more than happy to help us and sort it for us.

Absolute madness. A wasted journey and now an additional journey for my husband. Maybe the Halifax would like to pay our car parking costs into the account...in the presence of my husband only, not me of course.

Jonathan Barnett: Needed to get some software set up for my accountant and the phone assistance wasn't great. Popped into Stockport in the hope that they would assist and the two girls on the counter were fantastic. They gave me step by step instructions on my laptop and overcame a few hurdles to ensure it was all set up correctly. Absolutely fantastic service
Orange MAK1M: Absolutely ridiculous. Taken me almost 6 months to open a bank account. Everything went online as they took the high street banks! Only to find their online system was rubbish. Took months of phonecalls back and forth then monthsto get a face to face appointment purely to open an account! Eventually it was opened only to be called back in to the bank as they needed to take a photo of my passport and DL which I brought in last time I was asked to come to the bank! Absolutely dreadful! So I've walked In today with the Passport and DL and they told me I have to wait for approx 1 hour! Wth!!!

Suhaib Aziz: Terrible services provided at this branch. As staff are of an elderly age thy are unable to work machine quick and efficiently. Clearly either equipment or training is not up to standard. Machines have held back deposits because thy jam up over 5 times atbthis branch over 6 months. This is unacceptable as it has caused me to miss payments for business and personal reasons. There needs to be a better face to face service provideed at all branches as the quese in the bury town center branch are worse with less equipment and many usere needing face to face counter services. Over 3 staff are not behinfmd the till stood at door that could provide counter services but are not, instead thy are wasting there time. This naturally aggravates customers yet branch managers are unable to do anything about it.
BEN ROBINSON: It must be a prerequisite to have zero customer service skills when you have a job interview for this branch. Facebook life on your mobile phone is clearly more important than helping another human being, I don't know how you can sleep at night.
Helen Hollingsworth: Absolutely shocking customer service. I Applied online for a joint account with my partner, both of us passed the security, the application was processed and it said we would receive the cards/pins etc. then we got a letter sent to us saying we had to go in with our id’s to confirm everything. So we traveled to the stockport branch where we were abruptly told we needed to do it online, when we explained we had already tried online but we needed to bring in our id’s to complete it, we were then told there was no one there that can do it and we had to make an appointment, we were told a lady would ring us to make an appointment almost 2 weeks later and we are still waiting for that call. So today I decided to make a complaint, the lady from the complaints team said the stockport branch manager ‘Stacey’ would call me today, still no call, so I rang the complaints back and I was told my initial complaint hadn’t even been logged. So I was passed to someone else to log a complaint about my complaint not being logged to then be told the earliest appointment they had was in 2months. I can open a million current accounts on my phone whilst sat on my sofa eating Doritos, I can also apply for a credit card for thousands and it takes 5 minutes and I don’t even need to see or speak to anyone but a joint account is impossible This needs sorting

Abraham Hope: I am always pleased to go to Santander as the staff are lovely and so helpful. I changed my phone and was having trouble getting my mobile banking set up. I was advised to go too a branch so I went to the Stockport one. I did my banking and then a male ( possibly the manager) took me aside and sorted it out in no time at all.

Dariusz Manchester: Very poor service.Employee, who was servicing me (approx. 30 years old) had problem with basic mathematics - he could not calculate simple multiplication. Also he was nor properly prepared from savings account product. He also did not have any tools in his computer to calculate eventual profit from savings account.I asked him: "how may customers do you have with savings account?". He replied: "thousands, millions, I do not know".(Me) : "And who suppose to know? I was given an appointment for another day as per my convenience. Would recommend this bank and branch to anyone.Reason for switching from Barclays is their funding Israel for its slaughter machine.
