Savills Southampton Estate Agents: what do users think?
Parinaz Hosseini-Ashrafi: Everyone at this god forsaken branch is completely incompetentExcept Oli Shaw, he is a lone light in a dark industry.
George Burnie: Positive:QualityHe may have a disconcertingly silver tongue but Oli was attentive and responsive to my enquiries. A shame I ended up moving on a property in the south west but will definitely be returning to Savills Southampton in the future.
James Allen: Positive:ProfessionalismGreat Service - helped smooth the process from start to finish.Olly and team were professional, available and diligent throughout. Will use again!
Liam Bowers: Enquired with Olly Shaw on the website about a flat available. Asked a question regarding parking and was told it had parking, was told to secure a viewing I had to complete an affordability assesment with their lender and an AIP/DIP from another lender wasn't good enough. Was then told parking was actually not available and when I highlighted it was dissapointing to hear as was made clear this was a requirement, was met with a sarcastic and rude reply from Olly. I shudder to think how they would treat you once you had signed.
Alistair Clamp: Fantastic service throughout the whole purchasing process, Oliver was very attentive and always quick to respond. Bev was fantastic at viewings and handing over. Would highly recommend dealing with them.
Dominic Crossan: Bought 2 properties through the team at Savills. They held my hand through the process, keeping me informed and dealing with everything along the way. Oli and the team thanks for the great service and hope to use you again in the future.
Ed Marks: Great customer service. They were Super proactive in my purchasing process. I felt i was in safe hands.
Chris Power: Courteous, professional staff - couldn't fault whenever I have interacted with them.
Jon Oliver-Freeman: I have bought a few properties in my time and have a very poor image of typical Estate agents. Becky at Savills has completely changed that view. Knowledgeable on every single aspect of the property, a detailed knowledge of the lease terms and the management charges and the respect and cadence of communication that was entirely appropriate are the first qualities that come to mind. I have very few companies that I list as giving superb customer service and Savills rate in that very few now. Thank you Savills for selecting your staff so appropriately. Above all thank you Becky for taking the time to know your Vendor and your Customer so well that you were able to pit us together in such a smooth and enjoyable transaction.
Christopher Jordan: We didn't go to whatever Savills is
Reagen Evans: Savills southampton are absolutely terrible. Don’t bother wasting your time. We were calling for 3 days to try and arrange a viewing on an Ocean Village apartment. After finally getting through to someone we arranged an appointment for 4pm on Wednesday. When on the phone I corrected her when she repeated back to me “so 4pm thursday” as I specified Wednesday. She agreed and all seemed fine. Then got off work early and drove all the way here to see nobody around, no office to go to, no Savills signs showing where to go, no contact from them saying where to meet. Only to call a further 3 times outside the building to be told she thought it was thursday and she is too far away to turn around to proceed with the viewing. Needless to say we will no longer be looking at any of the properties with them.
Mado: Hideous website, it's nearly like they don't want anyone to be able to find properties for sale. Not easy to get along with as the other reviewer points out. Try to avoid these guys, if it's on their website it's because it's already been offered to the local buyers and none of them are interested.
Ashley Smith: Sadly I've had the misfortune to come into contact with this incredibly unprofessional and discourteous Savills branch. By chance I happened to discover one of the properties listed by the branch on Rightmove was using a copyrighted photograph of mine without authorisation or even credit. As the creator of a local history website based on the area of the property in question, I was frustrated that my strictly not-for-profit work was being used for commercial purposes; the website clearly states that permission must be sought for such uses. I do not have an issue with re-use of my work for non-commercial purposes.Of course I accept that mistakes can be made and the infringement might not have been intentional. After contacting Savills politely requesting that the photograph be removed, I received a quick and thoroughly professional response, apologising and assuring me the photo would be removed. In addition, Savills asked whether I would consider letting them use more of my photographs in exchange for payment. I decided that they could use some of my photographs as long as a "reasonable donation" to a specific charity was made.Despite agreeing to this, bizarrely I had no further response and two weeks later the offending photograph still remained on Rightmove. Since then I have followed up twice with further emails asking for the photo to be removed and have been ignored. What strikes me is the amazingly arrogant behaviour of a so-called professional firm who have chosen to disregard my legal rights as the copyright owner by continuing to ignore my simple and perfectly fair request in having the photo removed. It is not acceptable to use other people's work without permission for commercial gain, and a firm such as Savills should realise that.

Aesthetic Living: what do users think?
Tomasz Scigala: I strongly recommend Aesthetic Living for their flexibility, understanding and professionalism. They are a bunch of young, highly motivated and pleasant people who try to adjust to their tenants/customers' needs and requirements at all times. They have a selection of rooms and properties of a very decent standard and respond to customers and tenants requests in a swift and efficient manner. A five star company :)
Tana L: Posted misleading and erroneous pictures on Spareroom. I don't think that is honest behaviour and wasted my time visiting a run down place in bad condition.
Sara Aguiar: Honestly the best experience! My landlords were so so helpful and always there for me whenever I needed anything, I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. The kindest people I have met, and they are also really professional. Any home issues or even personal issues, they are always there to help 😊😊😊
Lizzie B: I couldn’t recommend Aesthetic Living enough. I have been renting with them for 6 months and have had the best experience. The decor is modern and has been finished to a high standard, which makes you feel so comfortable in your home. The landlord is amazing also, any issue my housemates or I had, he fixed it so quickly. If I ever had to rent in Southampton again, hands down I would choose them!
Fatoumatta CASSAMA: Comfortable accommodation at Padwell Road, Southampton. Jake and his partner are professional and I'd recommend Aesthetic Living to anyone searching for a spacious and comfortable accommodation.
gartont: Aesthetic living are genuinely the best property managers I've experienced. They are professional, understanding and really care about their tenants. I cannot recommend them enough when searching for properties.

St Moores: what do users think?
RouxVlogs: I recently moved to the country and was so nervous about finding a rental and getting everything required to be able to rent but St Moores made it a smooth and a easy process. All the ladies in the office were super friendly and more than happy to help me with all my questions and endless queries. Took all the stress away from getting a rental. Would definitely recommend
Livija Auštraitė: By far the worst letting agency I ever had to deal with. I've rented 2 properties over the course of 3 years. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The first property was broken into (personal items stolen, window removed) and I was left without a window in the middle of February for 2 weeks before they installed a new one for which they intended to charge me until I could prove that the police was investigating the matter. They did not allow me to move out without paying for another 6 months of the tenancy agreement even after multiple explanations of feeling unsafe in the property and having sleepless nights. No reimbursement for the damage and distress either, just condescending conversations with the staff that does not intend to help you in any way. I cannot mention the exact location where this property was due to obvious reasons but I can say that it was in Polygon area in Southampton so I would stay away from there at all costs. The second property had a slightly better experience but no thanks to St Moores and rather to the more safe location of the property. Too much to go into detail as there were many negative experiences throughout the 2 years, but the main problem was that we were promised the property was not moldy and we followed the instructions on how to ensure it stays that way (as I am severely allergic to mold). At the end of tenancy the flat was severely moldy in multiple places, even after many attempts to clean it and constant ventilation. They charged us £500+ for full clean and mold redecoration. We tried to argue and we were blamed that we did not take care of the mold accordingly which is absolutely not the case and we explained it. They were unwilling to help yet again, just like every single time you needed some help, advise or a service. This was a very small part of all the things gone bad. I will pray for everyone who rents from St Moores - good luck because you will need it.
Chris Trever: Critical:Professionalism,QualityPlease, for your own sake, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!
Ania P: Positive:Professionalism
Alla Nikolskaia: We had a very good experience with this agency - no hidden fees (unlike Fox&Sons) and really nice approachable staff. We really appreciate all Lily's help - she made moving out a breeze for us in otherwise very stressful time! Thank you!
Melody Clouder: Critical:ProfessionalismWas very fast to take my money away. After all information had been exchanged weeks before move, day before I was meant to move they went on to tell me they weren't happy with my details and said I couldn't move. Which left me homeless. Very unprofessional and will definitely not be using again. Stay clear!!
Henry McCann: Critical:ProfessionalismNot professional. Tried to deduct money from our deposit for cleaning charges that were not carried out or needed.
Sofia Santos: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueDo not get a contract with this company. Very unprofessional.will do everything to get money out of you.
José Miguel Ferreira: Critical:Professionalism
Rahmat Olawunmi Adenuga: Easy to navigate
Amy Bonnie: We rented a property from St Moore's as students for the past year. As students we're used to being treated badly by letting agencies but this one was a pleasant surprise. There were a few issues with contract signing due to some mistakes but aside from this we had no issues. Flat had modern furnishing in a great area and the agency responded very quickly to any maintenance issues (we reported a minor mould issue and a guy came within an hour!). We were naturally worried about being challenged for our deposit at the end as many agencies think they can take it from students but unlike other agencies St Moore's gave us our full deposit back with no issues. Super pleased and sad to have had to have moved out, would be happy to stay there for much longer!
Avery Swarthout: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRented a one bedroom flat under a 10 month lease. Service from the agency was fast and effective when the few problems there were did arrise. Staff are always friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Fatou Francesca Mbow: I moved to Southampton at a very difficult time and found this amazingly kind estate agent who helped me find my way in settling in the city in so many touching ways that I would not know where to start to thank her. Her name is Belinda, and she has found me an adorable accommodation with an adorable landlady. Thank you to Belinda and her team for helping me at such challenging times for us all. It matters. A lot.
Marc Young: I have never been the type of person to take time out of my day to dwell on a negative but If it was possible to give negative stars I would, Very very poor customer service skills. They avoid dealing with any issues queries or questions you may have in person or on the phone at any point you need them they will always refer you too online reports which receive little to no attention and you will be chasing up the smallest of issues for an unreasonable amount of time or will deny ever receiving what you have sent any maintenance needed doing on a property takes ages to be done.Or you will have to write to them and something that should be easy will become a long drawn out process. When you walk into the branch there is always a very negative atmosphere and in any other transaction or conversation I have had with the majority of the employees other than when I was signing my tenancy agreement I have been spoken to in a condescending manor. It amazes me that anyone continues to work there I have never once seen any of the staff look like they want to be there. If at all possible I would recommend using any other provider I have never been treated so poorly as a customer so consistently by a company beforeIf they are the only letting agent with the property you want or is in your price range then I understand because the property I am in for the mean time I’m very happy with but do not expect a lot from this middle man how they continue to have landlords working with them I am amazed they must be very cheap.
Amy Heer: absolute con artists! I took them to the TDS to get my deposit back as they are built upon scamming people. Please don't use!
Xela Ceey: Absolutely diabolical letting agency. DO NOT RENT PROPERTY WITH THIS COMPANY. I cannot stress enough how awful they are. They need to be exposed on BBC's Watchdogs in the Rogue Traders section. They will try to set you up for every additional cost under the sun. The manager is beyond incompetent. You will always be having to dig up paperwork for evidence to get out of issues with them. I have absolutely unbelievable stories and I have only be renting for 4 months...... PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY NEED TO GO BUST. AGAIN, DO NOT USE ST MOORES
Rajat Kulshreshtha: Used their services for finding a house in southampton. A total disappointment. I was shown 2 houses. I reached the first property and waited and called the office to be told that the house was already gone and my phone was not reachable to be informed. Good excuse. For next house i again waited at the fixed spot in heavy rains and again called the office and was told that the agent was looking for me and i am not available. Finally i spotted her in the car. Well the house was shown and i was told some weird rules. I had few questions which was answered quickly and was asked to contact the office for more details bcoz she was getting late. Bit rude and unfriendly. Well i was a prospective client and should have been attended better.Well to be honest i didn't liked the behaviour of the agents and weird rules that were explained.Good we didn't had a deal.
Amantle Osenotse: Up there with the worst estate agents in southampton
Stephen Katebe: Extremely rude. I wanted to rent a property as a first time customer. Horrible telephone manner. Immediately rude without any need. First impressions count. I will avoid them at all cost!
Eva Ruzheva: Horrible treatment by staff; our house was breaking down, despite the many calls, nothing was fixed...
D: DO NOT USE ST. MOORES.£75 call out charge for an inefficient storage heater that arc discharged (you could see the Spark/bolt, most of us screamed) and blew a fuse, “nothing wrong with it” according to their hand picked electrician.£75 for a replacement door key!£75 for an EOT cleaning fee even though I spent literally two days cleaning everything, including cupboard tops. When I challenged this they took weeks to even respond, knowing I needed the deposit money back, until I dropped the matter. it’s in the contract so they’ll charge me anyway, they helpfully said.Fees for multiple bank accounts(£60 charged a month, £20 each), fees even for calling the permanently rude Belinda (as mentioned by multiple reviewers, no idea now she’s keeping her job, must be nepotism or similar) who works there, at 7 pm about the arc discharge from the storage heater.Absolutely no sympathy for me with my dodgy co-tenants ripping me off and St. Moore’s lied and said prior to me moving in they had been prompt with their rent (as if, one was on a 6 month coke bender the other was mostly unemployed and they did no guarantor arrangement on him, despite renewing him while he was unemployed)Fees upon fees upon fees. Wiped out over 25% of the deposit.Add to that a bathroom with no windows, extractor fan straight into the loft(!) and peeling paint. Never repaired. They fitted fire door chains on every door in the place and then complained the neighbours didn’t like “slamming doors”. Which slammed because they had fitted fire door chains. Repeated requests to fix were met with suggestions of more fees.Place was freezing in winter and boiling in summer. The kitchen hob extractor, extracted boiling pans condensation into the front room. So basically did nothing. The kitchen sink leaked so much the poor downstairs tenant had multiple floods. The washer dryer combo sounded like a jet engine taking off.I almost forgot, when I moved in there were no working lights in my room. They charged me for the lights (£6 each, gold plated theirs must be!) because I removed the new ones I had bought at the end of the tenancy.Do not use this agency, the fee restrictions coming in June 2019 won’t stop this shower, they’ll find a way I’m sure.
