Host Southampton Crossings - Student Accommodation: what do users think?
Joe Newman: Thought I'd posted a review last year but apparently not. Would recommend to anyone looking for peaceful study space after their first year of uni, really helped me concentrate. Everyone is really lovely and they like a good chat. Nearest bus stop is less than 100m away. Sainsbury's Local and Tesco Express are both a few minutes away. Similar price to my first year halls (Mayflower) but much better value. They also have celebratory decorations for different occasions like New Year and Pride. Rooftop garden is a nice place to chill out (because it's empty most of the time). Thanks for my memorable stay :) 👍
Deborah Hagos: Had a great year at Host, lovely place and the staff are always helpful.
Ricky Lee: 管理員好nice ,管理又好,地方乾淨,環境舒服,不錯的選擇
Kasia Lyzwinska: My room keys were handed over today with great regret. I can honestly say that Host Southampton Crossings is the best student accommodation in Southampton. An excellent location in the city centre, a beautiful interior design, and a very comfortable environment to study in! It offers amazing facilities like a karaoke lounge, a rooftop on the 11th floor with a gorgeous view of the city, and a beautiful kitchen on the 11th floor where I once organized a cooking evening with my friends. It's impossible to forget the best team in this accommodation, headed by Julian, who treats the students as though they were at home during their stay. I'd also like to thank Chris for always being there to help. Thank you for this wonderful time, which allowed me to study and write my thesis in a truly amazing environment! I will definitely miss you! ❤️
Waleed Alharthi: جميل جدا
Jimmy Dong: Lift breaks down all the time and takes ages to repair. Lift indicates only 2 people should use the lift at one time due to covid restrictions but the maintenance guys with spectacle still decides to squeeze in when there has been 2 people in the lift.
saleh alzahrani: مكان جميل ونظيف كل الامكانيات موجوده فيه نت مطبخ كاويه أغراض طبخ تلفزيون ثلاجه
Georg Mv: Great view from this building
Patricia Robinson: Great accommodation for family time away. All bedrooms have their bathrooms and the unit is very clean.
Brian Willacy: No TV in room, and no tea making and lots of banging.
Khan: A very nice place to stay, very clean and crisp, literally a new building, loads of shops just a short walk away, residents of the building do their own thing and are friendly.Had a great time there my only annoyance was the parking situation as I got a parking ticket even though I paid for one for 30 minutes! this was after 6 minutes, please be careful as the wardens are actively watching people, my mistake was I parked in a motorcycle bay which wasn't clear, I will be fighting this, there is a multi storey car park which is pretty expensive daily but overnight works out to between £7-8, remember from 1800 - 0800 it is free so try and come after then after day trips, our room wasn't cleaned for over a week which was disappointing as we had to almost store our rubbish in one corner but were charged a cleaning fee, we did have one or two issues but they were sorted out quick by the onsite engineers, we stayed the week when it got extremely hot, we asked for a fan because we realised there was no air conditioning in the apartment so went out to purchase our own fan, they were sold out everywhere! the building took days to cool down, price was ok, room is ok for two adults but is a bit of a squeeze on the bed (we are not large in size), other then that a good stay.
Jamie Baker: Great price for what we got.On arrival at 8pm we were told room was not ready as they didn't have the cleaning staff and were told it's because it's a busy day... This was said to other customers on other days too so they need to get the cleaning staff situation fixed as it's a bad first impression.Guy was very friendly and accommodating and remained friendly when he saw us
Yuhong Chen: Clean, New, Quiet, Spacious room, Friendly and Competent staff! I enjoy my time here. Worth money services!
Ivan Tsvetanov: Best student accommodation in Southampton. I would have gone insane during lockdown if I was living anywhere else. Staff is brilliant and always there when you need help or just someone to talk to.
cubby yummy: This one could be the most comfort apartment in Southampton!I truly love the karaoke room and the balcony on the top floor.Amazing view and everything is new and modern.

Hello Student Accommodation, London Road Studios: what do users think?
Chrystalla Christoforou: I lived for 2 years there and I have nothing but great things to say. The rooms are spacious with a great interior. There is a little bit of noise coming from outside due to the central position of the halls but everything is fixed once you close the windows which are noise-cancelling. Tesco is right below so you do not have to walk a long distance to get groceries. Also, there are several cafes, pubs and restaurants around that area as well! Excellent customer service, every time I raised an issue to them they fixed it right away. I don't know how much Dan's salary is, but he definitely deserves a raise. During this time when Covid-19 affects everything, they really empathised with us and helped us with various issues (accommodation fees, mental health etc)I 100% recommend this place!!!
Deanna Rose: London road is located very close to the City Centre, which is perfect for socialising on Friday nights. 10 minutes bus ride from Uni Southampton and an easy 5 minute walk to Solent Uni if you happen to go there. Excellent customer service, with very compassionate staff! They are always happy to resolve any issue that may come up. The studio has got a comfortable setting with the breakfast bar set up with your small kitchen area for cooking delicious meals.
Louise: I stayed at London Road Apartments as a postgraduate student. The rooms were comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The place was super central with amenities and access to local coffee shops and stationary shops for all the essential student needs. The people who ran the accommodation were also very friendly and supportive. They helped me out with everything from directions to transport. If you are looking for flexible accommodation to suit your postgraduate needs then London Road is the place to go.
Sharika Khanom: Staff were really nice and accommodating. There were a few issues with the room but was sorted out quickly.
rhys howard: Awesome customer service, awesome facilities, amazing rooms!10/10 would recommend any student who wants their own place with all water, gas, internet included without any hassles!and if you want the same experience i had, when you inquire, ask for Dan, couldn't be more of a genuine and down to earth fella helping run London Road, definitely driving the customer services up as thats what he is all about!
Andreea Vasile: Good value for money for self contained studio. Local shops and takeaways and cash point right outside. I like dancing so great to have the bars close by. Staff very helpful especially Dan and Lee
hamed karimipour: I live in a golden studio flat. lovely room. besides, you could use facilities like study room ang gym in Brunswick apartment which is 1 minute walk
Luke L: Good location. But the maintanence and the management of the building didn't really match up with the price I paid. There were episodes of ant infestation which never really went away during my one year stay. I hope for the new tenants, the situations have improved since, but I'm not really sure why this accommodation is given such high recommendations by some reviewers, because judging from other reviews apperently some maintanence problems seem to persist nevertheless.
Cherie MIN: The staffs here are very friendly, and they are happy to help residents of studio. Always fix every problems. The equipement of room are good. Overall, it’s a very nice room to live.
Lincy Joseph: Excellent location and very convenient in terms of transport, shops, parks, entertainment etc.. The rooms are comfortable with the necessary amenities and very quiet and peaceful place to study.. The accommodation manager Irina has been very helpful and supportive in addressing queries and issues.. On the whole, it is a nice, safe and convenient place to stay especially for the newbies..
May Wu: This accommodation seriously needs some repair works. Also there is at least one late night fire alarm every month. Wouldn't think it's a particularly peaceful environment.
Charalambia Solomou: Only good thing about this accommodation is the location. It requires some serious renovation. Also, too expensive for the quality of rooms provided.

Park House by Prima Vidae - Student Accommodation Southampton: what do users think?
Jen Williams: I lived here for my final two years at UoS and I just wish I could have stayed longer! The team are absolutely wonderful (multiple years later we are still in regular communication) and I only have good things to say about my experience here. I recommend them to every prospective/current Southampton student!
Tom Dixon: Good for what it is !!
KAI PING LIU: It is really nice to live in the Unilife and there is also amazing staffs. Ben helps us to pass the time when we just arrived in Southampton. Every staff are friendly, I would also like to thanks Luke for the quick repairing, and Frank for fast replying of my mail even he was going on his holiday.
Ben Patri: Things have never been this good before the new company arrived. Here was used to be Unilife's building but now is taken over the collegiate. As a residence who has been living here since the new year of 2019, I was lucky enough and have experienced both companies ( Unilife's and collegiate). When the building was still with Unilife, they just tend to leave here empty during the week (2019)and I always missed my parcel because of no one wanted to attend this building in normal working hours. Things didn't change even I complained to them several times. However, collegiate will always have very friendly staffs attending the building and the service standard is a thousand times better than the previous company. And I am happy to see the changes 😃.
Connor Hulkes: A massive thank you to Frank from UniLife for accommodating me and my family during an arranged viewing today. Not only did the property completely supersede our expectations but Frank was amicable, friendly and welcoming to us all. From the outset, he has been responding swiftly to all of my messages and has gone the extra mile in helping us organize everything. I will most definitely be using UniLife for accommodation and encourage anyone else looking to do so.
Louise Barclay: I've recently had a viewing at Park House, ready to move in September and I can't thank Frank enough for his professionalism and willingness to help me understand the accommodation benefits, procedures and payment methods. He has been nothing but helpful and consistent in helping me book the right room and make sure the process in doing so is correct, whilst helping with any questions I had about it.I was already very interested hence the communication but from this, it encouraged me to book the room straight away as I'm excited to live here and be apart of the Unilife residents. I will update my reviews as my time with the company continues, thanks again to Frank for being amazing and friendly.Update: 10/03/20Again I'd love to shout out Frank here at Unilife, who has been helping me endlessly to now find me summer accommodation. I appreciate his patience and continuous communication in order to help me find the right place for the transitioning period. He has even offered me help with sorting out which financial plan will be the most feasible, which shows me trust and understanding which most places don't have. So, so far I'm very happy with the service I'm already receiving and now I'm just waiting to move and start my time here at Unilife. I will update once I've settled into the accommodation!
Israt Talukdar: I lived there for a year during my placement year and enjoyed my stay. The studio was a perfect size for me and so close to everything as it was right in the middle of the city centre. The staff are super helpful - especially Frank, Luke and Andrew. They were all so helpful during my move and made moving out really easy for me. Would recommend if you want to live in the city.
Ahmed Almaghaselah: This place is a second home. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and has everything you need. Located at the center of Southampton were shops, malls, restaurants etc are just one or two minutes walk. Highly recommend this place.
Matthew James: Lovely place to live. Being in the centre of Southampton is a dual-edged sword, and you may want to sleep with the window closed to save yourself the noise from the park, but Unilife has done a lot to make relatively small flats very livable. Our room made use of its space very well, meaning you can still have quite a few things, even in a studio apartment.
Sofie Baveghems: During my Erasmus exchange programme at the University of Southampton, I lived in a lovely Unilife studio. As I was only in Southampton for one semester, it was very convenient that Unilife offered accommodation for this shorter period. It was very nice to have your own space in a studio which offers all the comfort to feel at home. I loved the location because the studio is situated in the dynamic city surrounded by countless shops and restaurants. However, once inside the building, I was able to enjoy the quietness. A perfect combination! The Unilife staff was approachable and responsive to all enquiries. This support system made it easier to be living abroad.
Cliff Mahoney: My son moved into this accommodation for the year 2015/16. Alarm bells should have rang when they threatened to charge a £50 fee if you locked your self out of your room or mislaid the key card. The accommodate it's self if first class like a hotel room for students. You obviously pay over the going rate for other accommodation. My son had missed out on his first year accommodation deadline. When checkout time arrived we went to clean the room and check out with him. My wife who suffers with OCD spent three hours cleaning the room and making sure it was in pristine condition. With no damage. We asked three separate members of Unilife staff to check the room with us prior to departure all three declined. We took pictures of the room as we sensed something wasn't right. Why would they not check the room? There must be 100 rooms on site many rented by foreign students and I suspect most of the U.K. Parents would tell their children to ensure the place is spotless when they leave, but not physically check it themselves. We received a deduction from our deposit for just over £200 due to the room needing cleaning and alleged damage. They had the room inspected by a independent surveyor, not so independent as they check all the rooms. £200 a room x 100 rooms nice income if you get away with it and I suspect most do pay?We took the claim to adjudication as the room was spotless and we had photographic evidence of the fact there was no damage on our departure. The adjudicator is another limited company that's supposed to be independent. Obviously not as to our astonishment they found in favour of Unilife. Despite photographic evidence. The adjudicator decided that there was NO way my wife could clean the room to a professional standard. Quite what he thought my wife was doing during her three wasted hours cleaning this one room is beyond me.We have asked other parents whose children stayed there and it appears we got off quite lightly, most paid double our deductions. However students are having money taken from their deposits which in my opinion shouldn't be taken and that is beyond reprehensible! If you do fall for the modern slick rooms do expect your son or daughter to loose most of their deposit when you leave.
Dimitra Papadopoulou: Great students' accommodation located at the city centre with many amenities provided within the residence and close to everything one may possibly need! The bus stop for the University of Southampton is just 3 minutes away! All studios are new, smartly designed with a sense of good taste and most of them provide a really nice view of the park. I'll definitely miss my studio there! :)

Unite Students - Mercury Point, Southampton: what do users think?
Christmas Essentials: Biggest problem with this place is the abnormal amount of fire drills every week. Sometimes I would be sleeping and a fire drill out of nowhere. Every week atleast 1-2 timesLift always not working too. Had to carry kilos of laundry up to the 10th floor
Jose “Joes” Robles: Good place for students to stay but car parking is annoying.
aditi rawat: The Walls are so thin can hear everything - from the beeps of the people texting to banging doors.Rest it’s clean and near the city centre
Hallie Oldham Arnett: Nice staff there
metin ogtem: If I had written this article on the first day, I would have given 1 point and wrote a lot of negative comments. Because the walls are very thin and I had to warn my friend in the next room twice because of the noise. But after 1 year my thoughts are as followsPositive:1. Cheap compared to other places2.The staff are very kind and try to be as helpful as possible3.Trying to fix repairs and other loud noise issues right away4. The reception accepts your cargo for you.5.The room is useful enough, the long table helps a lot6. Internet is very fast and does not disconnect7.There is a market right next to it8. Close to the ocean and ideal for walking9. There are enough machines in the laundry room and it has just been refurbished. I never came back because it was full10. You have your own private mailbox.Negative:1. The walls are too thin. You hear every voice of your friend and of course they hear you too. The voice issue can be very annoying because even if your friend speaks normally with his family, it can make you have a headache.2.The hot water in the bathroom sometimes runs out quickly. The handout mentions the button that needs to be pressed for the hot water in the corridor, but it certainly doesn't work.3. The heater turns off automatically 1-2 minutes after it starts, and you need to press it again after 30 minutes for it to work. It is very uncomfortable while sleeping because you have to get out of bed4.Common area is smoking area only. If you don't smoke, your chances of meeting other people in the dorm are very low. Before you come, keep in mind:1.It is far from Southampton university and takes 1 hour including walking by bus.2. Only you clean the kitchen.Advices:1. Come as early as possible and choose the best place in the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets.2.Create a list to litter when everyone arrives
steveo banks: Working
Vanessa Skrodzki: I just moved back to Germany after staying for two semesters at Mercury Point and I am so very very happy for staying with Unite Students during my time abroad. The rooms were nice and clean, with thought put to student's needs, the kitchen was overwhelming because it was so large, nicely designed and well equipped, the staff was always so very helpful and nice and whenever problems occurred, no matter what type, they were handed very quick. Also the location was nice, supermarkets were close (one just around the corner) and you could reach the center of Southampton in no time. They had everything and every service one could ask for and it was all worth the money! :)
Julie Bholah: Lovely views on higher floors and well designed kitchen.
OJAS MAHAJAN: Staff over here is very nice always helpful! They have a lift also and rooms are also very nice, good and well maintained
Leroy Hamilton: Dropping student of
Louise Hilderly: Good student accommodation. Very modern and nice large bedrooms and kitchens.
Maxime Audisio: Such a good place in comparaison to LFW..
Ahmed Al-alawi: Nice place
Ricardo: Nice
Jane Wheeler: All drugs in the block
Lumiere Therapy: This place was awfully hot I didnt get a decent nights sleep at all :-(
maria fuentez: DO NOT STAY HERE IN THE HEIGHT OF SUMMER, CLEANING STAFF COME AND STAY IN YOUR HOUSE AND YOU GET FORCED TO MOVE. THE AIR IS TOTALLY RECYCLED, THE WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN FULLY AND ARE BLACKED OUT, THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN, YOU HEAR EVERYTHING, THE FIRE DOORS BANG SHUT ALL MORNING AND NIGHT, THE FLATS ARE WAY TO HOT IN THE SUMMER IT WAS DISGUSTING, WE WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN SADLY.
Ralf Noven: Its very nice for Students.
Kama M (weirdisthebest): A little boring, a few shops and that's about it

王周颖: Lovely place
Mandy Cummine: Great staff so friendly
hudson monica: 1. Very frequent fire alarm. 2. Water leakage on floor 3 . Long-time broken lifts.4. Some night-time receptionist sleep and play their phones rather than helping find the parcel. But most staffs are helpful and friendly!
Yan Hai: The apartment is clean and easy to live around. Special thanks to Mandy at the front desk. Helped us solve a lot of problems. It made me feel warm when I came to Britain for the first time. Thank you Mandy!

They helped a lot with my move, and even allowed me to chose a very specific date to move in that other accomodations simply don't allow, they even let me move in early to make the transition easier. They're so friendly and you can tell they really care for the people here. The facilities are also such amazing quality. They have a gym and cinema room, as well as a game room and even a couple of study rooms all of which you can book out. I couldn't ask for better accomodation. Rooms are also spacious whether you're living alone or with someone. The location is also amazing. only a 5 Min walk to the centre. Everything is extremely close.Would recommend this to anyone. Especially as someone who has lived in two different accomodations and checked out quite a few houses and apartments. It honestly doesn't get any better than this. I'm very impressed

Lea Neufeld: As an international student, Marland is perfect! The location is fantastic for getting to any of the Universities, shopping and anything else you might need. The rooms are generously spacious and include all a student requires. Social spaces and common areas are great, and there's plenty of events for interaction and meeting people in the building. Unite Students - Orion Point, Southampton: what do users think?
sudhir priyan: Best possible student accommodation in southampton on a budget.. well connected to the city aswell as the uni.. loved every second of my stay there and the staff are also super friendly!
mao ali: Clean and centrally locater halls of residence
Georgi Nikolov: Very good 👍
Danyal Khan: Small parking lot but other than that very nice.
Stuart Ball: Moved my daughter in...looks brilliant 👏 and all the staff were so welcoming 😀
Artemis: You need to prepare most stuff for the kitchen and empty the bin
Tony Zac: Excellent student accommodation and staffs are always friendly and helpful. Main drawback is quite noisy due to the large roundabout
Ahmet Satrettin: My nephew is there and it's very sad and disappointing place for a student
Esther Morán: Bien ubicado. Instalaciones totalmente reformadas.
Luis Ruiz: Good accommodation.
Heather Teversham: Went to visit granddaughter and residential at Portsmouth University
Jo: The stars go to the friendly staff that always do their best to help you out when needed. The building is very close to the Solent University’s main campus - so a big plus if you are studying there. However, having lived at Liberty Point and seen other student accommodation throughout the city, the price is relatively high for what is actually offered.Luckily the rooms are furnished, however, the bathrooms and communal areas all had mould around the sinks when we moved in. Vacuum cleaners didn’t work, which lead us to buying our own.By having carpets throughout all bedrooms and hallway I managed to find some souvenirs from former inhabitants..Sadly, many of my parcels have - according to Liberty Point - never arrived, although I have received confirmation by both the delivery companies and person sending them, that they did.All in all I would recommend checking out other places around the city, before booking a room at Liberty Point, unless you know beforehand that you would like to live with a large group of friends and get the typical student halls flair.
Helen Bush: Good student accommodation although on the pricey side.
caner refik: Big housing for students
Leroy BENT: Good
Christian Meldal: bit noisy, and messy kitchen
Alex Rolls: I live here. My flatmates are very nice people. There's water in the tap so I felt right at home
Harannagala Hettigodage Nalin Madushanka Dayarathna: Fantastic location for students. Cleaned rooms and well secured place. I recommend it
z M: Do not go there!!!!!!!At first the accommodation seemed to be very well organized and nice, until I moved in! The carpets that were in the rooms were digusting with hair and other things caught up in them. The showers were gross since there was this brown surface on the bottom and the drain had more hair in it. But after you pay more then £6000 you stay there(41 weeks). The cleaninglady that came 1 a week to clean the kitchen, cleaned everything the first weeks until she only did the surface of the counter and not the floor anymore. Also the equipment we got when we moved in our 5 bedroom apartment we had the following items: 4 chairs (for 5 people?) an ironingboard but not an iron, no cutlery, a mop that had been definitely used by 4244 other people that had lived there which was not clean! During the months of our stay the elevator didn’t work for 4 weeks in a row, the other available elevator then broke as well. The heaters in the room did NOT heat. The sinks leaked and after all our complaints nobody had the feeling to do anything. This gets me to the staff. At first they seamed nice but after a few complaints like our water that we didn’t have for a day they were annoyed with our flat. They always had an excuse and never did their job to fix anything! The security guard ended up fixing our water, because on the weekend there is nobody available, not even in emergencies like the water. No staff will be send out to repair anything!!! We never received any kind of apology or a voucher for the several mistakes that the accomendation made, but they took £10 off my deposit because when I moved out of our 5 apartment flat, I didn’t take care of the garbage that was in the kitchen!
Jonathan Creaser: Good security, easy to get to.
Rhys Stockton: Pricey, but nice accommodation. Staff are great, rooms are nice and has good access to the city centre. A 30 minute journey, however, to southampton Highfield campus
