Sophie Francis: We had a fabulous birthday lunch here! Would recommend booking if you want to sit on the terrace as the views are amazing. Service is also great, I'd move in if I could!Food & drinks: Good lunch menu with plenty of choice and great drinks menu with several mocktails, cocktails, wine list and soft drinks.
Kelly Mortimer: Wonderful experience. And I am a fussy traveller!Checkin was busy but the team handled it with smiles and efficiency!I stayed in a beautiful studio with double balcony - lots of space, wonderful views. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Especially at breakfast when I was fussy about how I wanted it - it was perfection.I enjoyed a relaxing hour in the spa which is included in the room rate and definitely worth a visit. It was a brief stay to recharge and relax. And I’ll definitely be back.Big congrats to you and your team. Great job.

Neil Williams: Amazing night in the 6th floor restaurant for my wife's birthday eve before we board the cruise tomorrow. We were moved to a booth and a special thank you to Carlos, who really looked after us. Thank you to all the staff. Great night, great food, and great service!Rooms: Spacious and comfy with everything you need.
William Allen: Arrived early, with jet lag, from an international flight. I was told that the room would not be ready until 3. There was no suggestion or amenity available for the next 6 hours. So, I fell asleep in a chair in their lobby, which apparently prompted them to get the room ready earlier. When we got to the room, the room cleaner was upset because the room was not yet ready. The room is lovely with a nice balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor and boat docks. There is a fabulous kitchen but no pots, pans, utensils, or plates. There are nice restaurants and a store in the immediate area.

Paul Goddard: Fantastic hotel set near to everything you need in Southampton. The service was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.Breakfast including the choices were very good. Would love to return for another visit.Rooms: The rooms are very comfortable with a high level of quality and cleanliness. Good air con and nice quiet environment.Nearby activities: Lots to do in Southampton, within walking distance of the shopping centres and docks, museums and parks.

Fanny M: Convenient location but did not meet a 4-star hotel expectations. We decided to pay more for this 4* hotel for 2 nights stay before cruise. The room facing the back of the hotel with absolutely no views but seeing an ugly roof of another building which was unpleasant. When I was taking a shower, found out the body wash bottle was completely EMPTY. Very disappointed that I couldn't finish my shower. Called housekeeping for it as I couldn't take shower but no delivery after an hour, called again but was given body lotion instead, sigh! Went to front desk to express my frustration as filling up the body wash bottle was a very basic housekeeper duty. The hotel provided expresso machine in room which was nice. However, we couldn't make expresso as the machine was filled with old expresso pods, it was never emptied by housekeeper. We ended up made our hands dirty to clean up the machine. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay. The only thing we like was the front desk staff who were friendly and understanding. Hope they will write a report to improve the housekeeping service.Rooms: Aging hotel. Decent size room with comfortable bed.
Kerrys Allen: Absolutely brilliant hotel! My partner and I stayed the night prior to setting sail on a cruise from Southampton, and we couldn't recommend it anymore if we tried. Rooms were very clean and staff were very friendly, there is also a car park outside the hotel so you don't have to drag your luggage long distances. The hotel is nicely located close to the high street which is full of restaurants and shops. 5 stars, without a doubt!

Mark Brookes: Lovely hotel and only a stone's throw from the cruiseRooms: Lovely big room fully air-conditioned. Lovely big bed which was really comfortable. Big screen TV with lots of channels including Netflix and Amazon primeFood & drinks: Only had breakfast which was self service. Food good . Lots of options. Alcohol drinks were expensive so we went to a nearby pub and saved around £5 a round
david mason: Very goodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Wynne Slowikowski: Great hotel and location. Kind friendly helpful bellman and front desk. However, they seem understaff at the cafe and front desk. Hostess took our order and took over an hour to get our food. Could not seem to locate a front desk personnel or staff when needing one. Room phone disconnected and doesn’t work. Overall, nice hotel. Nice one night stay!

Alex Marsh: Worst hotel I have ever stayed at with regards to the service especially at reception. Booked into a room whilst working away. They had a prom night on so my room was inhabitable due to the shouting in the courtyard so went down to reception and they wouldn’t change it. Should not be hiring rooms that are not fit for purpose. As for rooms very sub-standard. You’d be forgiven for thinking you were in motorway service station. Don’t usually write reviews and pretty easy going but on this occasion felt the absolute need to warn people away from this place. Especially service not even 1 star.Noteworthy details: Terrible reception service.
Sian Rawlings: Beautiful surroundings lovely hotel helpful staffHotel highlights Romantic, Quiet, Great value …More

Helen Crowle: We stayed here before getting a cruise from Southampton. The location is perfect as it’s only an easy, quick drive to the cruise terminal. The hotel itself is lovely as is the restaurant which is relaxed, informal and good food. We booked a deluxe room which was an adequate size overlooking the gardens with a good bathroom. The main issue was the bed which was a hard as a rock and the pillows which were lumpy and had definitely seen better days. Unfortunately, we slept very poorly and woke up with aches and pains from the bed. If you choose to book here, the location is perfect but maybe checkout the bed first!
Carl Aubrey: Very Very Dissapointed....For in excess of £225 per night I had a rabbit hutch!I leave reviews the world over and I will never returnThe room sold as executive was not even a double bedI could not get up the side of the bed, the window only opened a few inches and overlooking a roofNo Air-conditioningBoiling hot roomFlooded in light in the morning due to curtains being too smallNo room to turn when on the WCThe bathroom fan Very noisySee the picturesMake your own judgementThe entrance and surrounding is idyllic for a wedding but everything else is extortionate and not worth it.....The staff disinterested in serving, they were stood around talking despite the restaurant being empty! The food was very poor and cold the restaurant manager was very understanding and embarrassed when I brought it to her attentionChef came out and accepted the comments and feedback as fairHe was also apologetic and embarrassedOther staff members were eating McDonald's in view and some going outside smoking, returning without washing their hands and smelling of smokeI leave honest reviews for people to use when making a decision on where to stay and eat when away from homeSorry but I won't be back........Noteworthy details: Read my review
Jenny McDowell: Stayed here for 2 nights this weekend as I was attending my friends wedding here. Had a great time. Room was ok. Cheap mattress. Glad I wasn’t sharing it! My daughter had a z bed provided. Breakfast service was awful. Food good though.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Mel Carrol: Beautiful hotel and grounds set in an idyllic location. The room was clean though the pillows were too soft and they didn't have any alternatives. Mark M: Lovely venue and friendly if slow barbstaff
James Norton: I thought hotels were a place to sleepInstead there's a party going on until midnight, which of course is keeping me awakeEverything about the hotel is fabulous, but if you have events or functions, then they should be seperate and far way from the people who are trying to sleepAbsolutely ridiculous!!Get a grip, and sort your business out
Karen Young: Food & drinks: Awful!Ordered a prawn and avocado sandwich. They had run out of avocado and the prawns tasted off. The salad accompaniment was a few rubbery leaves and the chips were cold.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Julie Whitlock: Went for a friends retirement/birthday celebration. 20 of us for afternoon tea. Had a room to ourselves then went out onto the terrace in the sunshine. Lovely afternoon.Walkability: Lovely grounds to explore and the chilworth research centre also has lovely grounds to explore.

The Pig - in the wall: what do users think?
shellback54: We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. It is handy for the cruise terminals, and a 5-10 minute walk from the city centre. Our room was just the right size for two. It has a large very comfortable double bed, with comfy pillows. The room is airconditioned which is adjustable to colder or warmer as required. The room is very quiet at night. There is a well stocked fridge in your room which contains, freetea, coffee, bottled water and and 2 Tunnock tea cakes. The rest, beer, wine chocolate etc are extra. There is a safe in the decent sized wardrobe. The bathroom is a good size with a big walk in shower, with Bramley's shower gel, shampoo and moisturizer. The staff are very friendly and approachable. There is a good sized, secure car park at £10 a night, which is entered through the large black wrought iron gate to the left of the hotel after contacting reception via the intercom. All though we knew what the price of our stay was, we did think it was a bit expensive for what you get. We assumed that the buffet breakfast was included, but it wasn't at about £13.00. But that would be my fault for not reading the info correctly The full English was extra at £17.50 Would we stay there again? No, only because the price is a bit too much for us.
Annie Smith: Enjoyed a very delicious meal here tonight for my birthday - I went with my husband and friends. Excellent service from friendly and attentive staff who had the balance between professional and welcoming spot on. The food was great and my husband had forwarned that I have an awkward intolerance to onions and they had kindly marked up the menu to let me know exactly what I would be able to safely choose - I really appreciated this as it made it so much easier for me to choose. The decor and ambience were really lovely.
Delfina Zafira: Had a drink and cakeVery nice atmosphereStaff was okService: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Felix Meyer: This is not a restaurant it is a bed and breakfast and apparently may be turned away if you haven’t booked as guests get first priority in tiny dining area. The only meat they sell is pork, hence the name The Pig. They do not sell any other meat types. They do sausages, bacon, pork scratchers, sausage rolls but that is all and salad and deserts.Decor is mismatched thrift finds, and they only play 60s music giving it that vintage feel, like visiting grandmas house.Very kind employees that work there, it’s an all female staff place. Thanks for looking after us, wife loved it.Nearby activities: Nearby activities I found include short walk to ikea, local parks, dining and bars, landmarks, history museum right next door.Safety: Seems to be in a dangerous part of town, the road behind building had young men in fighting and shouting but clean area. There is a car park with a gate so safe to leave your car.Food & drinks: Food was 8.5/10 taste wise just small portion sizing as local farmers so high prices and small sizes.Noteworthy details: All the women who served us were generous and helpful; not too overbearing and asking a million questions which we love in a place.
Kenneth P.: WE just had lunch here - It was Very Good and service was excellentService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kevin Martin: Great bar on Southampton with loads of atmosphere. We will be back!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kate Hall: Lovely little accidental find tried a few cocktails and food was lovely well done to the team xService: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Chris Fletcher: I met my cousins from The USA for lunch on 2nd June and sorry to say that although the food was good the GF options were limited and the service was very slow and inattentive. An item was not served although ordered but not written down by our server..I must say I was disappointed and worried about my forthcoming trip to another PIG hotel for my wedding anniversary.Food & drinks: OK
paul adams: Fantastic location for tourists if you are cruising, every ship terminal is directly across the road, you can see the ships from the windows. Perfect location as you are also a few feet from the biggest shopping centre in Southampton which is full loads of different restaurants and amenities. If you wanted have lunch or dinner it is mainly salads, sausage rolls and cakes, all homemade as they claim to be a light food deli. The portions are small and priced high however all locally sourced ingredients within 25 miles including all alcoholic drinks. The dining area only has a few small tables some being very low down so can feel crowded at times. However they have much more space outside and have outdoor seating. You feel very well looked after by the staff who are from every corner of the world however know the history of the Southampton very well. The building is full of Southampton history as it is built straight into the Victorian walls that used to guard the city.If you are after fantastic customer service where the staff will cater to your every tiny request; (including things such as ringing you a taxi and bending the rules for you personally) and you want to get all Southampton has to offer by being right beside the cruise terminals and city centre and lots of restaurants this is the place for you. Also ask for a map they will give you a tour of the town and history lesson.Nearby activities: You have the ferry connecting to Isle of Wight beside you, cruise terminals, city centre full of big name shops and restaurants, historic landmarks, parks all under 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive.Safety: Seems to be in a very safe crime free area, there is a car park which is guarded very well with an intercom and gate that can only be opened by asking staff.Walkability: You are right beside the town city centre and cruise terminals, perfect location for tourists. You can also walk around nearby parks and see nearby history landmarks within 10 minute walking distance.Food & drinks: The food and drink is overpriced as it is all locally sourced food within 25 miles of the hotel. The hotel claims to have a deli style restaurant serving mainly cake, salad, soup and sausage rolls, very homemade foods. Ok for a light bite but if you’re hungry or have a slightly bigger appetite there are plenty of places less than 3 minutes from the hotel. The drink menu is some what limited as I was told is also local companies, no draught drinks only small Southampton beer bottles. Price is roughly £9 for starter and roughly £20 for main £8 dessert which is well priced however portions are overly small but very tasty.Noteworthy details: Staff are very friendly and trained well to serve your every single need and make you feel special. Will offer free alcohol, dessert and food if you let them know it is a special event for you. They are very personal and want to please you anyway they can.
Leo van de Geer: We had dinner, which didn't have lot on the plate, was a bit late to arrive, but service was friendlyRooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Gareth Lees: Great staff, fantastic food and nice place for a quiet beer
Michael Clark: Good food if limited menu. Loved the sausage roll. Very friendly staff with great service.Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Monica Albinson: We went for lunch which was very good. Nice peaceful atmosphere.
Charlie Bateson: The comfy rooms are very cost but exquisitely appointed with a shower and amenities to die for. The bed is also extremely comfortable resulting in a very good night's sleep.Dinner was unusual but also excellent. Don't go expecting meet and two veg this is more in a grazing style. The selection was good and catered well for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The wine list was also good and offered exceptional value.Would go back for sure.
Caleb Hall: We don’t usually leave reviews but me and my wife had the best experience we ever had dining with the pigs. Deli style food and the classic country rustic style decor is a lot more laid back than other pigs. Looks like they have around 10 indoor tables so very snug and personal. Your server really looks after you and all seem to be from different cultural backgrounds besides English so are very interesting to talk to about travel and cultures which is wonderful. Make sure to ask your server about the classic cocktails they’ll even make custom or decaf if you ask.
mandy hall: From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure that our evening was unforgettable especially the soft spoken girl with auburn hair. As soon as we were seated, we immediately noticed the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant. Soft lighting and tasteful decor set the stage for a delightful meal. The service was skilfully orchestrated - effortlessly striking a balance between attentiveness and giving us the space to enjoy our conversation. What truly set this place apart was their exceptional ability to make us feel special and attended to throughout the evening. It was evident that every patron was being treated with the same level of care and attention. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of a memorable meal served with genuine warmth and professionalism.
Del Plewa: Lovely place to enjoy a nice wine after afternoon walk

The Elizabeth House Hotel: what do users think?
Chris Bailey: I really enjoyed My 2 one night stays, 24/06/23 and 06/07/23.Our Family have stayed many times before & thoroughly enjoyed the experience... on my last visit I asked for my evening meal on room service, no problem... The Staff member who took my order is a credit to the Hotel's staff... He was very polite, has a great sense of humour too, I'm "Olde Skool " n to me it's those little things that count, I was greeted with a smile, not like the other chains of hospitality where robotic un-caring staff don't care at all... the room was well aired n kept nice n cool by the fan which was already on when I entered my room, as the weather was sweltering, tea n coffee n biscuits awaited me. The bathroom with its large shower head was extra inviting after my 218 mile drive to Southampton in very slow heavy traffic at times... We have already booked once more for this year, simply because we are highly satisfied with The Elizabeth House Hotel. In all I personally recommend it whole heartedly n definitely a big 10 out of 10... 😁👍Rooms: Good sized rooms, clean, airy, quiet n value for money...

Gordon Graham: Great staff comfortable rooms handy for city centre food excellent room service great & very reasonably priced
Zani Williams: The room itself was good with a nice en-suite, but I barely slept because the bed was very uncomfortable and the hallway lights showed through the gaps in the doorframe and under the door (the lights were on all night). We had booked in for dinner but they closed the restaurant for the weekend due to understaffing and didn't let us know, so the romantic anniversary dinner we had planned had to be changed to find the nearest pub. The breakfast was good.

D Humphreys: Enjoyable experience at this Holiday Inn and certainly recommend if you're looking for a hotel in the area. The rooms are modern and presented well. I had an accessible room which was very spacious. My only issue whilst at the hotel was the staff who checked me in didn't tell me I had to register my parking, and I had thought this was done manually as you give your registration on the check-in form (the screens to enter the car registration plate were facing the staff) and I only saw the screens as I re-entered the hotel later on the night so I'm expecting to receive a fine for the parking which is less than ideal.

We had ordered special pillows and were offered a free welcome drink until housekeeping could arrange them for us.The staff is very welcoming and we enjoyed a delicious dinner after getting freshened up. The breakfast was tasty and with all the usual British favourites.Checkout was swift and efficient and we have already booked our next stay.Super location, smack between town and the dockside, very pretty.Room 709 has a spectacular view and we watched 3 ships sail out and several container vessels coming in. Wonderful.
Leo Walton: This hotel is OK, for a Holiday Inn but the worst part is the £15 a day parking charge, even if you're staying at the hotel which was not clear prior to booking. We forgot to pay for our last day and have also had a £60 penalty charge. There are plenty of other, better, hotels in the area so I would recommend looking elsewhere if you have a car.Noteworthy details: It will cost you £15 a day to park here.

They must see thousands coming and going, but they were both friendly, caring and efficient throughout our stay. Our room had a great view of the harbour and was cleaned to a high standard. There was the odd small stain or two on the carpet, but not a big deal to us. We had a comfortable stay. There was no in room safe, but we managed. Jurys Inn Southampton: what do users think?
Peter Robertson: (Updated) Be careful if you have a car - predatory Countrywide Parking manages the drop-off parking spots! Hotel was fine, but located in the middle of a rotary, so the ONLY option to unload a car is the 15 minute drop-off. The hotel is understaffed and that led to a backup at check-in, making it impossible to honor the 15 minute parking limit and also secure the luggage. After reaching the front desk and arranging for the bags to be stored (the room wasn't ready), I immediately took the car to the carpark (a five minute walk). But it took 22 minutes to reach the desk and secure the luggage, the Countrywide Parking's cameras recorded the 7 minute violation and charged 60 pounds, to which the rental car company added adminstrative fees. It took me research and TWO appeals to get fixed (the British Parking Association dictates a 10 minute grace period so Countrywide never should have pursued the fine in the first place, then when given the chance on the first appeal did not even acknowledge the grace period, I had to appeal to THEIR association). And I couldn't reverse the rental car company's fee until the parking fine was waived. I DID reach out to the hotel manager and he offered to try to get the fine waived, but nobody should have to work this hard to check into a hotel and Leonardo would do well to get their landlord to dump Countrywide Parking. Because I did get the fines reversed and the hotel did offer to help, I am improving my rating for a basically fine hotel. But if you are responsible for a car and can't just dump someone at the curb with the bags, be careful!

Warren Goodall: Our group of 6 had booked 3 rooms for the 6 July 2023 via Expedia when it was still called Jury’s Inn. We then contacted the hotel direct and requested that we all be placed on the same floor. We figured that with almost a years notice that this would be easy thing for the hotel to coordinate. Two of our group had a change of plan and were coming in a few days early. Contacting the hotel directly a month before hand and they were told that there were plenty of rooms available but they had to book via Expedia again, not direct with the hotel. It seemed it was “too hard” for reception to take an extra 2 night booking. On our arrival we found that the rooms were not together as had been requested. Staff stated they were not aware of the request, despite it being recorded by reception earlier that day when our companions arrived early, and despite us showing emails etc.Now for the state of our room:1. Coffee table broken, couldn’t place a simple cup on it without it tipping over.2. Bed leg/coaster missing - bed tipping to one side.3. Aircon not able to cool room, stuck on 24 Celsius. I was told the following morning that I could have gone to reception and they would of given me some fans. It was midnight and I was tired so going downstairs was not in my thoughts.4. Carpet grubby to walk on, badly stained, and in need of a deep clean.5. Room in general is very tired and worn looking.6. Breakfast was sort of ok, with plenty to choose from. However it took over 20 minutes to get table salt provided and almost 30 mins to get a couple of fried eggs. The hotel is shown as a 4 star - I would barely rate it as 3.Previous complaints from customer reviews have resulted in the generic “thank you for your comments, we will use them to improve our service” type responses from duty managers. It would appear that Leonardos hasn’t learnt.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
David Ward: Ok if you are short of cash, a student etc. also avoid if you arrive in your own vehicle as there is absolutely no parking. Also don’t make our error and confuse this Leonardo with the other of the same name where we thought we would be staying.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More

M: We booked this hotel through a partnership they had with Poultons Park, but I must say this is NOT a 4* hotel. 3* for sure. The rooms were a standard travel lodge type and stank of cigarette so we moved to a different room only to find biscuits on the floor. They don't have the selection of beers at the bar as per their room menus and most draught beers were finished by 9pm.Kids small meal consisting of a processed hotdog sausage from a jar, chips and 3 table spoons of baked beans for £8.50!!!! Are you serious?? We staying for 2 nights. Wish I wasn't!

Nathaniel Freeman: Check in- one of the slowest hotel check in experiences I've had- very overpowering smell on arrivalRoom- clean looking on the surface- in need of maintenance and repairs- quite noisy, I don't mind but others may struggle.to.sleepArea- convenient area- plenty of restaurants and bars nearbyHotel- clearly in need of a facelift in parts, some areas good, others not so much- hotel bar closes dead on 11 even when packed

Mark Sayers: Basic but comfortable and clean rooms, excellent service and attitude from staff - really made me feel welcome.Swimming pool is lovely too, maybe next time I'll use the gym...Location is OK, if you don't mind walking - but there's always Uber.Breakfast is quite a surcharge, but there's always MacDonald's or Costa nearby for something cheaper.

Pip Critten: Nice hotel which is convenient for cruise terminal. But, why would you put an accessible room on the fourth floor at the far end of the corridor? Tina Olszewski: Clean and comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. Very good place to stay pre or post cruise. We took a bus from Heathrow to South Hampton and it was a short walk to the hotel. We paid 10 pounds for a cab to the port. There is a restaurant in the next door “sister” hotel that serves pizza, burgers, etc. they also serve beer and wine. A McDonalds and TGI Friday’s close by. The Friday’s was subpar. A small strip mall and IKEA are nearby.
Peri Duncan: It was a bit dated, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. The morning breakfast was good. Very convenient to the port and some shopping.
Pod ster: Fantastic place to stay and the staff couldn't do enough for us! If you're taking a cruise, make sure to stay here the night before you travel!!Rooms: Rooms very spacious, providing everything we needed and more. The beds extremely comfortable and had plenty of power USB points.Walkability: Was our first visit to Southampton and we'll definitely be visiting again. Great shopping centre surrounded by ancient roman walls, the city feels alive and buzzing.

The Blue Keys Hotel, Bar & Restaurant: what do users think?
Jordan Ellwood: Overall was fine, the bathroom was quite cold even with the towel rail on, the room didn't have hand towels available so I had to use the bath towels for simple things like handwashing, the toilet pan was always making a dripping noise, the panels of the shower were very aged. There isn't a TV available either. I believe they are just under new ownership so these may be temporary issues. Bar and Restaurant is not there from what I saw. Friendly staff.Noteworthy details: There is no reception
Richard Lidbetter: They are very generous people
Jinty Mcclinty: Little gem of a place
Annette Taylor: Friendly staff very helpful
Sarah Summerling: Lovely room.
timo demmert: Nettes Hotel und nicht weit zu den Pub's.
Graham Parkin: Booked by friends I was pleasantly surprised with this boutique style hotel. Great rooms, very friendly staff. We had extra guests to supper and we were all very impressed with the food and the service offered pre cruise. Luggage store. Car parking for the duration. The breakfast was so good we phoned from the ship and went back to the Blue Keys instead of a doing battle on the liner. I would recommend this as a very painless way to start a holiday.
mart murray: 4th time here always very good
Ftlchip R: Blue Keys hotel is a family owned hotel and restaurant quaint little place in a residential district quiet run by a family like a 5 star hotel
Monica Daniels: Excellent, charming staff, newly refurbished, delightful.
Harry Hensley: Wonderful hotel. Matthew was extremely helpful and made check in/out extremely easy. Quaint little bar and food was delicious. We will seek this location out next time in Southampton.
Sally Harris: Very nice place. Enjoyed our stay. Bed very comfortable, good atmosphere.
