Andy T: Dropped in for brunch. Staff were really helpful whilst we waited for a table. We went to the gift shop upstairs which was well worth a visit. The food was great, very fresh and very flavoursome. The Mexican waffle was really good and the bagel was superb. Cannot fault in any way. Really refreshing to go somewhere with great service, great food and a great atmosphere.

Matt P: Lovely food and lovely friendly service. Popped in here as we’d arrived too early for the shops and was really impressed from the moment we stepped in until we left. At the time we arrived it was busy however every effort was made to find us a space, even offering us a small table with the promise to move us when a larger one became available. The first table was perfect, we was made welcome and the menu explained. This being our first visit was remembered and later we was asked if we’d had a nice time. It’s set slightly out of the way but it’s worth the bit of a walk to pay them a visit.

Pelican Reviews: A cool way to spend a couple hours with jazz playing, coffee, bagels, huge pancakes and waffles with all sorts of toppings... Reminded me of a trip to Canada... I must go back sometime. The staff were fantastic and I would like to thank Emily in particular, for going the extra mile with our food order, meticulously ensuring our dietary requirements were met.

Highly recommend the banana bread pancakes, they’re choc chip with cinnamon, banana and loads of maple syrup - heavenly 🤤🤤 (also goes very well with smoothies- the green kale one was great)Service was quick, prices were reasonable, food was tasty!

Mohsin Ali: Been here twice. First time was in their old location. The photo I added was from there. Tried their new location today. They were able to make me over easy eggs with my waffle. Amazing really enjoyed it. Hashbrown didn’t seem up to par. If they started doing American style hash that would be really dope. Still giving five stars cos I really love this place. Atmosphere is great. Staff are super friendly and will accommodate you. Food arrived at a good time even tho it was considerably busy. Look forward to returning again!

Toni Jo: Always love this place. Everything was really nice except I thought I’d try the chicken strips with waffles and the chicken was slices of cold, fake, pre-packed chicken. Just disappointing, not just with the food, on this occasion, but with the complete ignorance and attitude of the owner. It's probably a 'best seller' because people, like me, expected the chicken to be edible. Probably the most sent back dish too.
mauro demicheli: Nice place, very filling and yummy food. It gets very busy so get ready to have to wait quite a bit if you don't book in advance. Only negative is that does feel a bit cramped when it's full. Steven Armstrong: Visited the cafe when on a stag do, food was lovely and reasonably priced, (a lot cheaper option than nearby hotel) was only one person working who managed to keep up with the demand of customers however if the volume of people had increased I believe would have struggled. Laura Milner: Used to absolutely love this place but they seem to have recently changed their menu and was really disappointed after our last trip. The chips are now really sweet and a bit greasy and they only have 2 chicken options on the menu now and no on the bone chicken!!? And worst thing - no more gravy! 😭 bring back the old menu please!
Lizzie Fogarty: Had a takeaway meal a week ago. The chicken was over done and the chips were not the usual ones, and were undercooked. It was awful! I got my money back from the 3rd party delivery company but had also emailed lucky fox to show them the quality of food I received and didn’t even get a reply. If you want, either burnt chicken or undercooked fries then this place is for you!
Robert Bonner: Went here tonight with three others and enjoyed it . The food is really nice with a good selection of food on the menu. In terms of alcohol there is only beer, which was fine for me, but not some others I was with. I would suggest that you need a side with the main we got the mac and cheese, and some wings which was really nice. The OG burger was really nice! The inside area is small but there are some seats outside. We sat outside which was fine. My only criterism is the service could have been a bit better. The table was not set up with cutlery we had to ask for these. In addition some staff were not that welcoming. The above said I would still return here.

Z A: I would give it a minus if I could! Horrible service! I have been to this place twice with my children and have stood at the entrance without being acknowledged for what seemed like a lifetime with 2 very young kids! The front of house are very unwelcoming and blatantly ignore the customer. They spend a large proportion of the time with their back to the customers so customers are left waiting to be served unnecessarily. The staff are often frowning and have an unenthusiastic and overall rude demeanour. To make matters worse, the desserts are terrible. I had their Reece’s waffle and it was literally 2 Reece’s chocolates thrown onto a cold waffle and a few slabs of peanut butter thrown on top. Absolute disgrace. I would not recommend this place at all. There are far better dessert shops in Sheffield to spend your ££ on.

Peter Ellis: Awful service, the staff look at you like you’re a disease. I don’t expect a smile, just be polite like I was being. And the deserts were awful. Crepe not cooked properly and was cold, and my apple pie was supposed to be warm but was like ice and the custard was really cold, AVOID!

The staff were genuinely great, I can't remember the last time when I was treated with such a respect and kindness. This was our first visit to the restaurant and there definitely be many more. Laura Shaw: Lovely desserts and very clean throughout the restaurant, but the toilets were broken and absolutely disgusting! We really enjoyed all the food and it was exactly as expected however the drink my husband ordered he asked for no cream and it came with cream he then asked for them to make a new one. Seemed like they just blended the cream into the drink but we didn't see them so that. But just to say again, apart from this and the toilets we were really happy with the food.

Andrei: Have visited many kaspas in a few cities in UK but this is the only one where I was forced to listen to Indian music. I get it, your employees are Indians and they enjoy their music but I shouldn't be forced to listen to it. I'm not racist by any means but please keep your music to yourself as I keep mine to myself. Either switch it off or keep it to a radio station. As for the deserts, they were very delicious.

Staff were off hand and cakes looked uninspiring so found a much better place round the corner Hi Jonty, thank you for replying to me. I appreciate heating bills are extortionate and apologise if you found me over critical but actually your staff didn’t offer me any other seating - I wasn’t aware there was an upstairs. However, in view of the fact that I was with my 88 year old friend we would still have declined.
Response: Morning Jenny. I feel it's a little unfair to 1 star me. You were sat downstairs as my front of house staff had the hatch open to serve takeaway coffees. You were offered a seat upstairs away from the draft. But you declined and left. Its November 2022 and the nation is gripped by an energy crisis. My heating is not on. It would sink me in 2 weeks. Jessie: Waited outside for coffee for 10 minutes. Was completely ignored by all the servers and the woman at the counter just smirked at me while chatting to another staff member. Ended up leaving after 10 mins since nobody who worked there had even the basic courtesy to say “sorry we’re really busy, I’ll be with you in a minute”.

I am aware the weather was atrocious on Sunday 30th and this can compound our ability to maintain and manager a que of customers. Sean: Oh! My goodness. What a wonderful, wonderful place. The downstairs betrays it's real size as there is a lovely seating area upstairs with a nice view of Sheffield. I had a meaty breakfast which was absolutely delicious and brilliantly priced. My wife has an intolerance to gluten and milk which they catered for exquisitely. The staff were nice enough if a little bored and not really up for any conversation but that's fine it was a busy brunchtime. Atmosphere was nice. Would highly recommend if you're in this area of Sheffield and looking for a delicious affordable brunch.

The carrot cake was a little dry and the frosting was sickly and not cream cheese but maybe that’s a personal preference! We couldn’t finish it, but the raspberry almond slice was amazing! For a reasonable 19 pounds, you can try five desserts and sample all the delicious flavors they have to offer. In addition to their scrumptious desserts, their fruit smoothies are equally fantastic. And, to top it off, their friendly staff, especially Hamza, provide excellent customer service that makes customers feel welcome and valued. I found my appetite immediately.The interior is to a high standard, it is genuinely like a restaurant but focused only on desserts.I had the s’mores waffles which was a very generous portion indeed and was made in a waffle iron. Aparajita S: In the heart of the Sheffield City Centre. The place in itself is big enough to be a restaurant serving food and not just desserts. Everything on the menu sounds delicious and amongst the 4 of us, we tried different dishes and were quite happy with all of them. The service is another matter because there was just one person who was doing everything from seating us to taking orders, to prepping the dishes and serving everyone. It didn’t happen to is but at one point tempers did run a little high. Note to the higher management: better staffing levels please.

S K: Visiting from London, my first time in Sheffield. Heard about this place so I had to try it and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint! We ordered through Uber eats so they had BOGOF on cookie dough and milkshake. Wow. Quality, quantity and just overall outstanding. Sometimes when places put these offers on it’s because the ingredients are going bad or they don’t put as much effort. If I ever come back to Sheffield, Rassams might be the reason.

Noor us Sabah: Amazing staff especially Sammi he gave me and my brother a free lollypop and he also showed us a trick with a tray and another fun fact my birthday is on the day they opened the restaurant and Sammi's birthday is after mine. Over all the food was 100/10 and I got the halal marshmallow waffle it also came with vanilla ice cream 🍦. Sam Andrews: I placed an order last sunday at the Sheffield London Road Rassams.It said it would be delivered at 7.04pm. At 7.30 I rang the restaurant to ask where the order was at first, they couldn't find the order and after telling me to wait they then to be told me they couldn't tell me how long and they were busy. They were extremely rude, shouting in the background.The order finally came at 8pm, well 2 items came - biscoff pancake & cookie dough. The cookie dough was cold and the pancakes burnt. I tried to call the restaurant about 10 times, no answer.I rang Darnall Rassams to ask what I could do, I spoke with Aziz, who couldn't have been more helpful. He tried to contact the store but couldn't reach them and apologised profusely. He asked to take my number to get them to call me back as soon as possible.They then called me back via social media ( whatts app ) which is completely unacceptable. I spoke to Salen, who was extremely rude, didn't listen to anything I said or let me explain what had happened with the order. He kept talking over me and telling me I had received the order. I explained what was missing and the items that came was burnt and the other one cold. He told me he would send the order again and they are busy so no idea how long it would be.5 minutes later, the missing items came. The ice cream was water and the rest of the food cold. This had not been freshly made.I have yet again tried to call the restaurant back and the line is now busy. This was nearly a 30-pound order and after ordering from Rassams numerous times I find the customer service absolutely disgusting. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, they quite frankly couldn't have cared less. Salen was talking to someone else whilst trying to speak to me and it sounded like he was laughing whilst I tried to explain what had happened.I would just like to finish this with a thank you to Naziz ( Darnall restaurant ) for his help. This was supposed to be a treat for the family which has now turned into chaos as my autistic son will now not eat his ice cream as its more milk!!!!!STILL NO RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL AFTER OVER A WEEK!!!
L N: 34-page menu all including the same poor quality 'ice cream', poor ingredients, poor service and most of all overpriced and tasteless.These will be gone like Ottimo once the initial interest wears off, doubt they'll see any return customers.Be mindful they charge upfront and do not issue refunds so if you're not happy with your meal their policy is to ignore unsatisfied customers.The responses from the owner here on Google are clearly dismissive of any negative feedback and cling to an award from 2019 and claim best desserts in England when they've only just expanded outside of county lines. The 'award' is hosted and managed by Oceanic Creative Events rather than any culinary experts and a quick search of them leads to a website relating to the inaugural 2016 event, a defunct Creative Oceanic site and a Facebook page showcasing with two lads enjoying a party. Highly unprofessional just like Rassam's and it's owner.Beestonians will be much better enjoying desserts made with care and quality from Kaspa's, Dessert Haven, your local pub or even stick to their usual family trip to McDonald's.I will not be returning and will certainly let parents and families around know not to bother, the owner will find it hard to integrate successfully with the Beestonian community considering their attitude showcased clearly in review responses.Proper businesses address customer feedback rather than claim "hate" because the feedback doesn't align with their opinion. That's called gaslighting :)
