Niell Jordan Jinivon: Went in for a guitar nut repair and opted in for a cheaper option, midway during repair the nut broke as it was cheap plastic. The staff at Wizard Guitars replaced it with a higher quality one and insisted on not charging me extra! All in all, great service with people who know their stuff, would highly recommend them for all your guitar needs in Sheffield.
Billy Washington: Got my Les Paul set up at wizards and they did a fantastic job at a great price! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the new shop is great! Definitely recommend.
Neil Hudson: Took my bass in for a new nut fitting and they did a splendid job. When I got it home and found string buzz they took it back in and sorted it at no extra cost (it turned out to be a dodgy string). Very professional service.

Came in today to ask about some new strings and was given a full education on what I should be looking for based on the sound of what I want to play and the feel I want on my board. conor jewitt: Older fella in there was passive aggressive and frankly rude when we asked to try out some guitars. I understand being frustrated if people are coming in and damaging instruments but it isn’t fair to treat every customer like that, they simply left us alone without a cable or anything to actually try the guitar out with.The selection of instruments was great but frankly there was absolutely no chance I was going to buy from them after being treated like that.

Mark Illingworth: After looking online at various shops and reviews I settled on Wizard Guitars and wasn't disappointed. I've been wanting to get back into playing after 10+ years. I got completely sound advice from the guys in the shop and i will definitely return. I was able to play the full set up before purchase and wasn't pressured in the slightest to buy anything I didn't need.

Mike Akroyd: I bought my first electric guitar from these guys when they were on Ecclesall Road a few years ago, and have been back for support around setup etc. Today was my first visit to the new shop. Although the environment has had a massive upgrade, and really needs to be seen to be believed, I was most pleased that the same friendly expert service that they have always provided remains in place. What turned out to be a relatively minor pickup issue was sorted quickly, with advice about how to monitor and maintain in the future. One of the most important things for me as a relatively limited guitarist, is that the team at Wizard have never made me feel daft, which I've found can be the case in other shops.

I called in last weekend looking for my first guitar setup and was given loads of time and even a bit of a free lesson really, which was great and really got me hooked immediately. I walked out with a guitar, amp, tuner, stand, bag, etc, all the things to start me on my journey. I'll be back in three months for restringing (even though it's not local to me). Fantastic service!! Andy Carter: I visited Wizard Guitars for the first time last week. I was looking to buy my first ukulele. Being a beginner I was unsure what would be best as an entry level, although I knew I wanted a uke that had a good sound. The advice I was given was excellent. They went through the different types of ukuleles and gave me demonstrations as well as letting me try them out myself. Personally I don't believe you can really buy a musical instrument online. You need to feel it in your hands and hear how it plays. I came away a very happy customer. A week later and I'm loving my new ukulele. I'd highly recommend this shop and will be back in the future.

ok: This place has a great selection of equipment, as far as I know it has the best selection of EHX pedals in the whole of Sheffield. Would definitely give this place a shot if your in the market for some new equipment. Friendly and welcoming staff too, they were great at helping me pick out new equipment if I needed advice, and were happy to chat to me about the equipment they have in stock, even if I'm not looking to buy.

Rob Gennard: I recently found a Gibson Les Paul Standard advertised on the Rich Tone Music second hand page and decided to buy it. The photos were excellent and the instrument was despatched the same day with full tracking information. I received the guitar following day and it was packed perfectly. The guitar is absolutely fantastic and in great condition. The ease of purchase and level of service from Rich Tone Music is excellent. Highly recommended and will hopefully use again.
andrew Phillipsonandrewphillipson: Bought a used guitar from Rich Tone Music over the Internet. I had been searching for this guitar Gretch 5420t weeks before so I knew the new price. Described as in very good condition and yes it definitely was, its beautiful. Saved myself about £190 as it also came with a case. Paid £10 delivery (Saturday) and it arrived on the day I specified and was well packaged. Opened the case took it out and it was set up perfectly, in tune and clean, I think I fell in love with it instantly. Thank you Rich Tone.

What a guy.. he sorted out my guitar strings plus showed me again (I am getting old and a new starter 😁) how to set up my amp.... Whilst I was there I fancied adding a Fender Telecaster to my growing collection... he was so helpful and the perfect colour was there just waiting for me.... so now I am the proud owner of a Les Paul and a Telecaster both I bought from Rich Tone. I recently bought a Warwick Alien 6 string acoustic bass from them and from the initial phone call I made to enquire about the bass, all the way through to delivery (this morning!) with numerous emails exchanged in between, Richtone have been superb! Very quick to respond, very quick to dispatch and although I was quite prepared for the bass to arrive next Tuesday due to the Bank Holiday, it arrived this morning so now I have the 3 day weekend to play it! All round, top service!

So far two weeks to resolve as Rich Tone are asking us to take full responsibility in getting the item safely back using their courier! Nothing but back and forth!!! Catch is I can't be at the store due to distance, but luckily the process was so simple it couldn't be easier. I sourced my own boxes (Richtone charge £20 per box due to its size, so highly recommend asking your local music shop for spare boxes which should be free), they arranged collection and got my gear the following day.As each Gibson is different, I'm checking a couple of guitars for their tops, Pete kindly checked and tried them personally, after little debate we settled with what is now my new Les Paul that arrived today! Which also plays incredible!! I was nervous, as normally you want to try these guitars before buying, especially as they arent a cheap guitar! But trusted the advice and it paid off.A shout out to whoever set this guitar up before shipping, such a nice difference when a guitar is ready to play out the box...and set up really well.Again thank you to everyone who helped, I can't flaw your customer care and appreciate all the time you've given me. I absolutely love my new guitar and given I couldn't personally be at the store, the experience couldn't be better!

Mark: Brilliant service! Took my Strat to Guitar Shack for a re-wiring modification and they quoted me a really reasonable price. When i collected the guitar the wiring was exactly the way i wanted it. It had also been completely set up and had new strings on it, albeit by mistake, but I was not charged or pressured to pay more than the quoted price. I felt completely welcome at the shop and enjoyed talking to the staff. I will recommend Guitar Shack to all my friends

Gareth Stephenson: After emailing then going into the shop just after lunch. I was told you had to be there before 10 to get guitar strings changed on the same day. I was also told that I could probably look it up on YouTube and do it myself. Secondly, it's a classical guitar and the guy suggested a set up so the strings were parallel with the fret board. It would've been £35 charge. A nylon string guitar needs the clearance of a least 3mm at the 12 fret to prevent any buzzing. I dont trust these guys. But thanks anyways I changed the strings myself and learnt one or two things about the set up doing my own research.

I was nervous about handing over a brand new, and expensive, guitar to someone I hadn't used before but my anxiety was misplaced!Tom handed back my guitar in the same pristine condition in which it was handed over except one thing. That one thing was the reason I commissioned his services and that was for a killer set up. Tom only needed to make one minor adjustment on pick up and I left an extremely happy customer with a guitar I can safely say plays better than any I have had set up elsewhere!I will definitely use Tom again. I am very new and bought strings and other things from them and they are always happy to help but one time I asked for something and they did not know what I was talking about and got the impression they thought I was being stupid (Probably my imagination tbf). Other than that it is a great place if you want to buy a beginner guitar or other little nic nacs like string winder, tuners etc. Also about the person below saying they did not get greeted but someone else did. So what? They probably thought you knew what you were doing and so left you alone. When I go in I get asked sometimes if I need help and other times not. no biggie. But if I ask for help they always do.
Charlene Luty: The young lad that works there is rude and the older lady isn’t much better, I visited the store to have something printed on a sweatshirt for my sons first birthday, first they said it would be not today ya looking at over 4 hrs to which I replied that’s fine, i went & purchased the sweatshirt and took it to them for him to say ahh we can have that done today if your only wanting that would only have been £7 transfer however when I wanted to see what the writing wud look like before paying, that wa a clearly too much trouble, when I showed him what I would like he said it would be the same so when I asked to look he huffed and wrote it out on the computer and it looked nothing like I’d asked for for him to reply & say well that’s what it wud be. So my reply to him was forget it I’ll take it somewhere else he was just like yeah that’s fine being right clever I’ve no idea how they get any business talking to people in that way, precious to this he was also sniggering abt what someone wanted printed on a t-shirt so the service I’m sorry to say is horrendous and will never recommend this place to anyone !!!!

Peter Osborne: It's a very good shop, keeps a lot of books/magazines some guitars available on view to buy it's just a shame about the prices of the items, it's quite an expensive shop staff are very helpful though

Good selection of music and accessories also some 2nd hand vinyl at the moment with titles that take me back to my youth, bought a couple for nostalgia'S sake as well as various sheet music items recently. Tim Ennis: Incredibly friendly and helpful service. I’ve just got my new guitar setup here and am really happy with it. I’m pretty new to playing but the owner spent time patiently explaining exactly what he was doing, what I could easily do myself and how to do it, giving lots of little tips and pointers. I really couldn’t recommend this place more.

However I didn’t have the knowledge or skill to carry out such work myself. I contacted Stephen at Gatling guitars and he was more than happy to carry out the work for me. Throughout the entire process he was very knowledgeable, kind and courteous and I couldn’t be happier with how the guitar turned out, all at a very reasonable price too! D Bellis: Great service - they didn't have the precise molded bridge pins I wanted. I ordered some that were close (ish), and Gatling Guitars included another (slightly different) set FoC to give me an option. I'm really not that fussed about the style of bridge pins .... but I really am fussed about people who offer good service. Bridge pins are (for me, anyway) such a small thing, yet it was an opportunity to send such a big message about customer service. Message received.
