Cubana Tapas Bar: what do users think?

Amelia C: Amazing food and cocktails! Very fun atmosphere with the restaurant upstairs and a dance floor on the ground floor

E Andrews: Had some lovely tapas accompanied by some amazing cocktails! Lovely independent tapas restaurant, would highly recommends! Staff friendly chatty & attentive and the tapas tasted divine, freshly prepared and authentic 👌

Jon Parker Lee: Don’t be put off by the chain restaurant decor - this place is absolutely brilliant. The food is very good and the portions are generous for a British tapas restaurant. But the best thing is the wonderful atmosphere…a place where the staff are clearly very happy, smiley and enjoying working there. This is so rare nowadays, and is a much underrated characteristic in enjoying dining…maybe it’s because they’re not working for accountants running a chain diner by numbers. Will be back soon. Thank you.

TIM SCHOFIELD: We were a group of 6. Booked table for 9pm and shown directly to table. All the staff were polite and friendly and also gave great service. Great selection of drinks...cocktails very nice. Atmosphere was lively and the saxophone player added to the evening. The food was top quality especially the prawns and chicken skewers. All very tasty. We were there for 3 hours and the time flew by. Highly recommended as a great meal out if you like your tapas.

Giles de la Cruz: Really good tapas restaurant with very good prices and very generous portions. Really recommend the croquettes. There was also some live music when we went, with v friendly staff (and good dancers - Latino too which made it feel so much more authentic) and served food until 10ish (we arrived by 9 and left by 11). Drinks were reasonably priced and music downstairs in the club was funky

La Mama Latin Tapas Bar & Restaurant: what do users think?

Jack Smith: Had one of the best nights in a restaurant I have had. The food was amazing and great value for money. We were the only 2 people left in the restaurant at the end of the night but a lovely waitress called Carolina made us feel very welcome. She even gave us a brief 5 minute salsa lesson which was a great added service! She is amazing and I hope we get to see her again when we next go! Thank you

Andy Sandy: We chanced it on a busy Friday night and got lucky to get a table, so glad we did! The staff bent over backwards to accommodate our needs, cocktails were lovely and the food arrived quickly. All enjoyed by all, especially the green beans! See you soon!
Ian Welsh: Early evening outing staff very accommodating and friendly about finding us a table. Informed discussion of allergies and changes to accommodate. The 'fusion' of Latino and Spanish produced some variations. Sadly the core components of dishes were served in very intense relishes / herb/ spices. Fish in Lime (fish cooks in lime) was far too tart and over cooked. Whitebait hard to taste against the amount of garlic.Desert course easily the best. Would not go backVegetarian options: There was a reasonable choice .Dietary restrictions: Accommodated very willingly. Gluten marked on menu
Sue McFarlane: Fabulous tapas, very varied menuBusy evening, staff were great, food came very quickly at first but a wait for dessert. Will definitely return and recommend 👍Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Tapas Parking options Free street parking …More

Maya Gupta: The staff were exceptionally friendly! They kept checking on us to see if everything was alright and the restaurant is beautifully decorated! The food was delicious! I don't know the last time I enjoyed my food that much! It was so tasty, I was stuffed at the end of our meal. Overall, it was brilliant and I totally recommend this lovely restaurant!

Josh Shires: It’s nice to support local family run businesses. The food had the potential to be great. I think we choose the wrong dishes though. The ribs were outstanding. The green beans 😋. grace peers: Honestly one of the best restaurants in Sheffield. The service is great and the staff are knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very nice. Really recommend for anyone looking for something different. Potato's bravas 👌🏼 Scouse really looked after us and made us laugh. Thank you !!
linda walker: We booked for five when we arrived there was only a very small table for four and my son had to sit at the end of the table in the aisle with people bumping into him. The music was so loud that even though the table was so small we couldn't hear each other speak. My son was treating me for my birthday and I had driven from Norfolk for the occasion. So we were all very disappointed

Twiddle - Love of Food: what do users think?

Cheryl Brown: Fantastic Pasta Party at home for my 40th birthday! Everyone had a fantastic time. Viki is a great teacher, so passionate about cooking & full of knowledge & information about the different foods. Great way to spend an evening with friends & the food was delicious too! Highly recommend this to everyone.

Helen Caley: I attended Viki’s pasta making class at La Mama’s it was fantastic! Lovely homemade snacks were provided, we got to make two different colours of pasta and we got taught loads of different shapes, one was cooked to eat at the end of the class with a choice of homemade sauces and we got to take the other home to cook later! I can highly recommend.

Morwenna Jones: Bought the pasta workshop for my boyfriend’s birthday present and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Had I known how simple it was to make delicious pasta at home I would have been making it a long time ago! Viki was very engaging, clearly incredibly knowledgeable and made us all feel welcome straight away. We had so much fun making a mess/fresh pasta and got to enjoy it at the class with delicious sauces made by Viki. We even got to take another batch of pasta home for dinner the following evening. Thanks for a lovely Sunday morning and no doubt we’ll be back for future classes! Morwenna and Dustin

Sean Robinson: Absolutely loved our pasta making class with Viki. It’s a great way to learn the basics, and now were going to buy our own pasta maker for at home. It’s a really welcoming class, Viki is a great teacher, full of helpful suggestions and she made lots of amazing snacks as well. Can’t recommend it enough.
Gavin Rosson: I booked this workshop for my son’s 15th birthday and he went along with his 20 yr old brother. Viki was very friendly and helpful when answering all my pre-session questions and the boys were more than comfortable setting off. Both came home with great stories and some very different pasta to our normal shop bought stuff. They both said they had enjoyed the session and had a really good time. Thank you for giving them such a fun experience Viki. Georgina
SM C: I bought this as the 'paper' voucher for our first wedding anniversary. Viki was absolutely fabulous and we had a wonderful day out. Also took us through how she got into the field. Her knowledge of nutrition showed in the wonderful lunch she prepared too! Thankyou Viki!
Jack Atkinson: Viki was an excellent workshop host and we all thoroughly enjoyed making our pasta! Thanks so much for a great time :)
Kate Chapman: Fantastic fun experience!
Andy Chapman: I recently attended a Twiddle pasta making workshop and it was an absolute delight! Viki is an expert in the craft and her passion for pasta making is contagious. She provided clear instructions and hands-on guidance throughout the workshop, making it easy for even beginners to follow along. The end result was delicious homemade pasta that I never thought I could make myself. The workshop was not only informative, but also fun and engaging. I would highly recommend Viki's pasta making workshop to anyone interested in learning a new skill or just looking for a fun activity to do with friends. Thank you Viki for a wonderful experience!
Christopher Brooke: We booked Viki for our daughter's 8th birthday as she loves cooking and baking and we thought it sounded like a great 'party' idea. Viki totally surpassed our expectations - turning up with a beautiful freshly baked loaf of sourdough and homemade roast beetroot hummus, she set to work setting up for the party. She had even brought a personalised chef's hat for my daughter and a sourdough starter with instructions - such a lovely touch. There were colourful aprons for the kids to wear and they had an amazing time (and so did I!), we all learned so much. Using natural ingredients to create different colours of pasta dough, we ended up with an eclectic mix of shapes and colours that Viki then cooked up with a simple sauce that everyone tucked into - absolutely delicious!I found Viki a highly knowledgeable and inspiring lady, and a delight to have met. We were blown away by what a great party it was. Thank you, Viki!
Julia Bishop: Highly recommended! A fun, informative, practical, delicious and sociable experience. Viki has a lovely manner and the workshop is well organised and paced.
Natasha Bishop Wiltshire: Viki’s class was fantastic! We learnt so much and had a lot fun. Viki is a great teacher, and talks you through the whole process. Topped off with wonderful homemade snacks, and then eating our pasta with Viki’s pasta sauces! Would highly recommend!!
Geoffrey Gregory: Hi this is Lorraine Gregory. Yesterdays pasta workshop was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! Vikki was a great teacher and made the demonstrations and instructions easy to follow. I enjoyed the workshop and had a lovely experience. I would highly recommend the pasta workshop for any wants to learn how to make pasta ,which tasted delicious, and have a fun time.
Marg Brown: Thoroughly enjoyed the session with Viki and had a lovely meal there and when we got home. Excellent. Learnt how to ‘twiddle’!
Maria Graham: A good setting in a Italian restaurant led by a lovely lady with a sense of humour that got us to have a hands on experience which is what I wanted and she made it enjoyable. We got to sample our food and take some home. Also got to eat her homemade delicious bread and pesto. Would like to go on another of her courses.
Ralph Kleeli: What a treat I had. Not only is Viki delightful but so is her teaching. I couldn't believe what I learned about making fresh pasta. No more supermarket pasta from now on - only the fresh stuff made by moi!! Voila!! Uh that's french.I would recommend that anyone interested should take the time to do this session/lesson/course. If you're not I would recommend you become interested as you're missing out.
Charlie Myers: We booked the Colourful and Fresh pasta Making Course as a Birthday present for mum. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Viki hosted a great interactive workshop firstly you're shown how to make the dough for your pasta and shown a number of different additives to not only colour your pasta but make it more nutritious.Following you're shown many ways to shape your pasta and how to use a pasta machine. Your pasta is then cooked, and you eat your own creation with some amazing sauces made by Viki (which i would recommend you get the recipe for).I couldn't recommend more! I'm now making pasta on a regular basis at home. Viki was a great host and the venue at la mama was a great setting. Definitely worth booking.
Michelle Summersgill: Excellent cooking course. Booked for a friend as a 30th gift and we loved it. Viki is such a lovely host. La Mama's restaurant is a great setting for it too. Would highly recommend!
Amy Bland: Had the most amazing time at pasta making! Learnt so many new skills and about health benefits too. The food was incredible and I can’t wait to make more pasta. If you do one new thing this year it should be this workshop. Thanks again to such a brilliant teacher xx
Rebecca Willett: Viktoria did the most amazing party for my daughter and her friends. She taught them how to make pasta in a full and friendly way and they even got to taste it at the end with a delicious homemade sauce - and there was leftovers for us too! I couldn't recommend her highly enough!
PJ taste: A fantastic experience. Viki gave an enthusiastic demonstration which was both fun and informative. It has inspired the group to try new recipes at home.
Duncan Wilde: Lovely company and excellent food.
Greg Roberts: We visited the pasta making workshop at La Mama in Sheffield and had a wonderful time. Vikki is a great teacher and it's amazing how simple and satisfying it is to make fresh pasta. We enjoyed some of our creations on the day with some of Vikki's gorgeous pesto. (would definitely recommend), and had plenty left to make a few meals when at home. Would absolutely recommend for anyone and any occasion. Thanks so much Twiddle!

Silversmiths: what do users think?

Ivan: The food is decent for the price and the service was amazing. I found the flavor of curry powder in the chicken terrine a bit overwhelming and the Yorkshire pudding was too greasy to eat with the roast beef.

Christopher Blackburn: Hidden on a stunning little back street in the centre of Sheffield you’ll find that the service and ambiance at Silversmiths’s is absolutely fantastic. The food is equally as impressive and whilst I’d suggest some of the dishes are a tad confused and potentially dictated by a chef who likes to utilise fancy gadgets, the actual component parts of the meal are exceptional. The highlight for me was dessert. A stunningly well crafted and well thought out dish! Certainly worth a visit! Recommended.

Simon Taylor: Had the beef Sunday lunch with a cured salmon starter as a last minute walk in. Couldn’t fault anything apart from the Yorkshire pudding that was truly rock hard. Home cooked but left too long. I didn’t find it expensive and all prices clearly shown. If they were to cook their yorkshires whilst getting the starter ready that wouldn’t be a problem.

Maryanne Fernandez: Food wasn’t authentic Indian, but wasn’t too bad. Dog friendly, so that’s a big bonus!
Rich Webb: I had a lovely evening out at Ms Mistrys' Tapas lounge, which perfectly describes the restaurant. It occupies a convenient and suitably grand building on the corner of London rd and Sharrow lane. I'd been meaning to check it out for ages and finally managed to book a table.A big fan of Indian food, I'd actually not tried it in Tapas form, and when my huge silver platter arrived , I was not disappointed by the selection of beautiful dishes. I've never tasted a Dahl like this, simply exquisite and deliciously tasty, and all the other silver bowls were equally delightful. The Chapati and Poppadoms did not disappoint, and were perfectly complimented by the sauces which came on the Tapas dish. The atmosphere was relaxing, and Sheena the host was most welcoming.I loved the layout of the place, I enjoyed a whisky at the bar too, which has a DJ station and potential for live music. What a wonderful, memorable evening I will definitely be visiting again, perfect for a meet up of friends or alone as I was.
Adam Seymour: Such a great vibe in there. Really tasty food and really friendly staff. I'm looking forward to going back!

Emma Taylor: Really lovely home cooked thali. It felt more like being in someone’s home than a restaurant. Owner is lovely, chatty and attentive. Will definitely be back.
Peter J: This is an interesting take on Indian food. Everything is home made and the owner is very proud of what she does - with good reason. We had the tapas option and used a Groupon for it. The food was tasty and there was some real variety in the dishes that were interesting to try. It’s important to note that, if using a Groupon, the deal is really aimed at just one person because despite having two starters and mains, these are tapas sized. The owner agrees to let the second person buy an identical deal for the same price as the Groupon.
laura alexander: Lovely wholesome meal, great flavours and made to feel sooo welcome. A pleasure to support a predominantly run/owned female enterprise. Recommended! 😋
Mark James: So unusual, decks in a restaurant. Food very good. We had a great time. The owner has an unusual story as to how she came to opening this business, very worth talking to. I hope she succeeds as its not been open long and has already been broken into. Cool vibes.
Paul Elliott: Vegetarian options: Plenty of delicious vegetarian and vegan options Kid-friendliness: Kid sized thali available, and our kids loved them
Bryony Whitfield: This place is a family freindly dog freindly Indian tapas place when I came with my mother both who love Indian food left happy and full up. Every single mouthful of ms mistrys food is mouth watering. The staff are so kind and caring and ask how our food is. The manager takes her time to talk to people.
jimi oates: Looked great! Orderd on City Grab. After half an hour the order had been recieved but not accepted. Called and they were really vague about having City Grab at all. After speaking to different people they said they could not cover our order and cancelled it, wasted 45 mins of my life.
Jon Stammers: What a great place to eat. The food is amazing, staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Such a wide range of choices, including dishes that I’ve never seen before. As a vegetarian, I felt spoilt. Will be going back soon!
Jack Dunn: Ordered take away last night, a few minutes after ordering realised we had ordered two Dads lamb curry only wanted one lamb, phone to say only one lambe curry but would like 1 Mums Chicken curry, when order arrived there were 2 lamb curry. We had popodom which was tasty, veg samosa very soggy, salad in container was dried out and not edible, lamb samosa, the lamb was very dry no seasoning salad was same, pani puri very nice, lamb curry x 2, not very enjoyable, not much lamb more bone, 2x nan very thin and brittle more like a popadom, over all very disappointed, will not be ordering again or reccomending.

Lyn Lockwood: Fantastic food, drinks and great staff. Cool Kelham Island vegan bar and restaurant.
Simon Hudson: Buzzing when we were there.Good craft ales and vegan food easily the equal of any meat meals you might have at a bar. Yummy
Ian Kellar: Awesome vegan food, amazing beer. Lovely setting and service.
Susan Athanasiadi: Nice atmosphere
Douwi Stewart: Always a nice visit. Food was okay and service was pretty good.
Annie Clark: Love it here. Great little gem in Kelham
Jessica Wilson (sheaf_foodies): Lovley cosy but rustic bar tucked away down a side street in kelham /neepsend. Worth a visit
David Lee: Where all the cool kids go. Overproof rum is very good.
Martin Kershaw: Probably my favourite bar in Kelham. Been in a lot lately, always friendly and a very good vibe. Good selection of beers and although I've not been in to eat, the food at Make No Bones always looks lovely. Had good recommendations for it from friends who have eaten there.
Craig Winter: Nice friendly atmosphere
Ellie: First time coming to the old workshop last night and although the food was great, the bar staff were very rude on a few occasions. There’s a right way to speak to people and your staff last night could use some training. Quite frankly it ruined our evening. I hope the kitchen “make no bones” moves so we can visit them again.
Maria Man: Nice drinks, interesting decor. Plant based food was great (speaking as someone who expected meat on the table!) and music was subtle. Security guy did an awesome job as well (never thought a bar needed security intervention at 9pm!)
Fae Dugmore: Amazing Sunday lunch
ricky lane: Great for a few drinks with friends
Nat pops: Food was amazing. Knowledgeable bar staff. Toilets were clean
Lauren Hubbard: Lovely place on a Saturday night. Obviously the same sorta menu as church, food was good, good selection of beers. Not the place to go for a quiet drink and gets full quickly
