Carrie Nicholson: Went in there the other day and the service was painfully slow. It took over 30 minutes for them to process 5 customers, all just buying a few movies and games, this was exclusively the buying line as well, so no trades were being done. There were like 4 employees on the ‘buy’ side basically doing nothing and just talking with each other, with only one of them trying her best to get the queue down. The poor younger girl was basically doing all of the work by herself. I felt very sorry for her! Can imagine how frustrating it must have been for her.

Dave Richardson: A pristine condition iPhone XR, boxed, cleaned and with cables/plug and earphones (unused), they offered £112, then they said the earpiece/speaker wasn’t working…. 🤔🤔🤔 Strange that it was perfect before. Contact number is useless, don’t waste your time. One star is too much!

Should be when you submit the item the staff did a visual check and informed about the approximate quote however once they complete the testing they are then able to confirm if they can purchase the item or if there is any issue with it, therefore the staff had informed you about this after the testing was completed. -Robin

GLEN In Sheffield: Not impressed on my latest visit. Arranged online for the company to purchase two items. These were brought into store. Items initially checked. Voucher was pending for Sunday.Received a call to advise that a new charger was required and various accessories. I disagree. The items were dropped off complete.I told them I would collect my property and will not plan trading with them again.They are disorganised and wilfully yry and manipulate the consumer, but I'll not have any of it.Advice: if you are dropping anything off for potential purchase, ensure you take a good selection of photographs of everything. You may otherwise regret it.

Staff was friendly but could have saved myself the effort if they were reachable over phone. They just play a recorded message when you call. Don’t go by what is on their website.

He then cleaned it all for him and it was as good as new. Not many companies would put their customers above making a quick £. Will always recommend.

Sam Vines: Dropped in to pick up an order this afternoon and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The collection point was clearly signposted just to the left of the entrance doors, service was quick, and my parcel was all ready. The person serving me was incredibly friendly, genuine, and open, chatting through what he was doing and finding my parcel with ease. Proper chuffed, would come back again.

christine breakey: Appalling service. Waited for an hour to be served because they didn't have enough staff. Purchased a laptop and arranged to have soft ware uploaded in store. I was told it would take 2 days and that i would receive a phone call. A week later and I still haven't heard anything. I rang the number given only to be told that the lap top had arrived in store, which I already knew. They were unable to provide an update on when it would be ready and were also unable to provide a contact number or email for the store. I asked to speak to someone else who could provide the information I needed and was transferred to someone who asked for my reference number. When provided they hung up. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! It seems I have to travel to the store to find out if the laptop is ready for collection, and after reading some of these reviews I suspect it won't be. This is a very poor service indeed and I would recommend that you go somewhere else.

Helen Thompson: I broke the screen of my mobile phone and received excellent service from Fonez World. I received advice and 2 quotes very quickly and dropped my phone off the next day. It was mended in a couple of hours and everything was perfect. I could also buy a new case and screen protector in the shop. The shop is easy to find in Hillsborough barracks and I would recommend their efficient and polite service.

David Semeraro: I approached the Real Computer Shop in Matlock for help in replacing my desktop computer which (like me) was beginning to show its age. I provided the specification of my current machine and explained the requirement to run a number of peripheral devices whilst delivering interactive online teaching. Nick Dutch was very helpful and knowledgeable and advised me regarding a suitable replacement. After placing an order, my new PC was promptly assembled and I collected it a week later. I met Pete Rainsford on that occasion, who was also very helpful and knowledgeable.I have received follow-up telephone calls to ensure that the machine had no teething problems, which is much appreciated. The new PC is now up and running smoothly and highly efficiently.Overall, the service provided was far superior to any previously received in high street chain technology stores. My new PC has a decent all-round spec and represents good value for money.Overall, I am highly satisfied with the professional service received.I have no hesitation in recommending the Real Computer Shop to other customers.Yours – a mature technophile.

Dan Rawle: Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff and there’s always plenty of people available which is useful in a PC shop where some customers can take up hours of the staff’s time.They also won’t try to oversell you and are very honest when it comes to advising other places to go to if they don’t stock the particular component you’re after. This is useful for me as I’m normally after relatively niche components.That being said, it would be nice to see a wider selection of products. Granted, it’s not the biggest shop in terms of floor space so understandable why some of the more niche products aren’t readily available, and they do offer the option of ordering stuff in.Still though, from my fairly unique position, would be nice to see those more niche products (i.e. power cable adapters) readily available so I don’t end up giving my money to evil Jeff Bezos.Can’t speak to the quality of their repair service but apparently we’re very useful when my mum managed to knock a bowl full of cake batter onto her laptop while cooking (lol).

The Raging Sith Lord: The guys were great, I was having trouble refitting a part after sorting something below it and I took it in. Turned out the part was broken and they replaced it and gave my PC a cleaning in the meantime in a little over 30 minutes total. Now my PC is working better than it has in a long time, and that was just replacing a single fan and thermal paste.

Péter Bruzsa: Came in to look at a TV and wanted to try the menu and have a look at some of the features. The TV was on display, but I have been advised that the remotes sometimes go missing so they can't demonstrate the TV today. It's a shame, they looked too busy to even try and find the remotes. I was about to get this TV, but have to go elsewhere now.Looked at trading in my phone, valued it online, value comes to £240. Took it in, they valued it for 165 including promotion if I trade it in for another phone. How is that not misinformation of the customer?Currys... Avoid if you can.

Leo M: Totally shocking service. I have a care plan. Printer faulty. Called them 7 days ago to get advice. Told that the printer could not be repaired and that an alternative would have to be sent as my model is discontinued.I then received an email asking for more information, so I call them and have to repeat the whole thing. I then get told that the previous colleague had completed the incorrect paperwork. They then correct it and then a few hours later, I get another email asking me to call, because (Again) they require further information. This then repeat the process again. After day 3, I am then told that I have to take the printer to a local store to get it exchanged even though it was originally purchased on their website. The local store could not help so I wasted my time asking my neighbour, driving 34 mile round trip. I am then told (After speaking with 9 different people, because I was passed from dept to dept, to dept.) You get the idea.... Eventually, I was told that DPD would collect the faulty printer. I am now told that they have to wait for the printer to arrive so they can scan it in, before they can send the alternative replacement which could take 5 to 7 working days.I have tried to call the head office today to make official complaint, and after 58 minutes via 4 departments, Im told that they do not have a complaints department and to wait for the replacement. And to top it off, they have a shocking phone system as the call degrades every time it is transferred and creates a delay between the agent speaking and me speaking, so we end up talking over each other. I have had printers and other electricals with Currys, (PC world, Currys/Dixons) over the years and never had any issues at all, but after all these years, I get one fault and Nothing but a nightmare service. Definitely think twice before you shop there. Its completely shocking for customer service.

I needed a new equivalent to my old model ,don't know anything about printers now, so my first thought....Currys.At the shop they usually have people to give professional advice to,I wasn't disappointed.I finished up with a choice of two, the price had gone up over the years and it surprised me . But I need a good reliable printer so after weighing up the pros and cons, chose the hp Smart tank plus. Brilliant.
