Marilyn Marsden: I bought some loafer shoes and they have all split under the sole they are not very good quality for the price I have only had them about 2 months and wore them about 7times.
bonnie sibanda: Bought 2 pairs of shoes all badly fitting so quality not so good. Check if shoes are ok before you leave as they may not accept them back. Staff good though.
Ian George Whatton: I went for a pair of size 10 Ascot leather upper Trainers because mine are worn out they had them in a size 9 and size 11 but not a size 10 they are size discriminating useless shoe shop I will asked the hospital if they can reduce my feet so that I can fit into a size 9?.so I will sue them.

Kay Dodsworth: Went to purchase my first pair of Dr Martens, being a more mature customer I was not sure where to start. These guys were all so helpful and fitted me out with a pair I love. I must have tried about 10 pairs, nothing was too much trouble for them. I bought purple laces and the polish too. Highly recommend this store and the staff! Thanks guys 👍🏻

Catherine santiago: Nice shoe shop with reasonable priced shoes, boots and trainers. Always have good sales on and staff are friendly and always available to help. They also now offer a service where you can put your footwear in a machine and get it weather protected. This really does work and makes a difference as I did it on my sons suede boots and they have been great even in pouring rain.
Linda Knowles: I visited your store on Tuesday 4th May, to buy some trainers I was served buy a young lady called Aqsa, it was so nice to have such a pleasant young lady with such good mannerisms so very obliging with a pleasant smile , nothing was too much trouble for her, I looked forward to her serving me again on my future visits to your store. Dean Hornby: This is review for a purchase my wife made. The boots they sell are great don’t get me wrong, it’s the returns process where things get ridiculous, I purchased 2 pairs of boots for £300 and paid £6 postage, not a bad price for next day delivery, but unfortunately one pair didn’t fit (ordered my normal size) and the other pair didn’t look like they did online, so I had to return them both. Unfortunately they don’t provide a returns label (more than happy to pay a further £6 to return) so you have to start finding a parcel delivery company, in the end there was noting between the likes of DPD, Evri, Parcel force, and because I now had to cover the insurance cost of the boots, the return costs inc insurance was over £21 that’s £27 total for postage on items I’ve had to send back, of course I’d of loved to reorder the boots in a different size, but the prospect of those not fitting and adding a further £27, frankly I can’t warrant spending what would be £54 and ending up with no product! They do have a great selection, so if you’re buying online beware of the added costs, if you can get to the store then go it’s a far cheaper option.
Response: Hi Dean, Sorry to hear about the problem you had but I feel that a one star rating is harsh as we do say in advance that we do not offer a free return service and we did get the boots to you within 24 hours and we also send out exchanges free of charge. You are correct saying that the best way is to visit the store and we almost daily have customers driving up to 2 hours to try boots on. Shipping boots can get expensive and the only way for us to provide a “free” return service would be to charge everyone for initial shipping whereas at the moment we offer free UK shipping and we also send out exchanges free of charge. In the past we have tried a free return service but this proved very expensive as some customers just ordered many pairs and continually sent them back at our expense which could only be sustained by raising prices. Returns have not usually been a problem as most customers use Royal Mail 2nd class which is just over £4.00 signed and I think even 2 pairs may have been cheaper with the post office but we know that is not always possible for everyone. We are however always looking for ways to improve our service and any feedback is useful so we will take your comments on board and thanks for bothering to write a review even though we only got one star, quite apt as it’s Christmas :).
