injectionclinic: what do users think?

Robert Marshall: Having been suffering with hip pain for around 12 weeks had physio that made little difference. Was referred to consultant but told it could be another 12 weeks or even more. Gave the Injection Clinic a call got an appointment in 4 days. Chris was brilliant explained what he was going to do. I was shown my hips on the computer screen and that I had a pocket of inflammation on the right hip, Chris dealt with the infection and then gave me an injection to reduce the inflammation. Was the best£155 I have ever spent. It I

Val Strong: I have osteoarthritis in my right hip and have been experiencing pain and stiffness. I saw Chris last week and had a corticosteroid injection plus a hyaluronic acid injection. My pain is significantly reduced and the movement in my hip has improved a lot. Chris explained everything clearly and put me totally at ease. Many thanks.

Rodger Henderson: Following months of back pain I visited Chris at the clinic. And his Assessment and explanation of the problem was professional throughout. Whilst I was worried about having spinal injections the whole process was surprisingly easy and Chris made me feel at ease during the whole process . I am now two weeks after facet injections and difference is amazing. I still do my exercises but the injections took away the stiffness and most of the pain. Highly recommended.

Jackie Watts: Following neck surgery a few years ago I now have steroid injections in my shoulders every few months carried out by Chris. The treatment itself is a breeze with minimal discomfort and the relief is almost instant. Chris is very professional and carries out the injections with ultrasound guidance to ensure the needles hit the spot. Chris gets 5 stars from me.

MR B BRADLEY: After suffering pain and swelling in my left elbow, I contacted the Injection Clinic and made an appointment. Whilst there I was treated with the utmost care and following my ultrasound diagnosis I was given a guided injection. The results have been excellent and I am no longer in any pain. I would recommend the Injection Clinic to everyone.

EMMA HOLLINGDRAKE: A fantastic experience. I was put entirely at ease from the beginning, given lots of information and I was given time to consider my options. The injection I had worked really well and has made a significant difference to my pain. Thank you! Emma.
Graham Law: I have visited Chris Creagon on various occasions and I can only confirm he was very informative and had plenty of time to discuss my condition, on another occasion he correctly diagnosed me with parsonage turner syndrome which is a very rare condition. Highly recommended
Sean Oconnor: Visited Chris at Sheffield last Thursday for a on going shoulder problem ,full ultrasound examination followed by injection 4 days later pain loads better highly recommended. Dont suffer pain visits Chris.
Robert Leeming: Had an injection of hyulauric acid for my arthritic right knee. Chris said it could take up to 4 weeks to take effect. Well it has. The pain has dramatically subsided. He also said that I needed to step up my mechanical exercises of the knee and it has worked. Thank you so much Chris. Life is bearable once again
Michael Poole: I can't thank Chris enough for easing my frozen shoulder, and returning some meaningful movement to my limb, which means I'm now able to get back on with my life. Shame the NHS system isn't set up the same for which I would be having the same treatment about Christmas after having gone through 6 separate appointments ARRRH! The Injection Clinic represents great value for money which cant be said the same of other private medical companies. Thanks again Chris, and in the best possible way I hope I don't have to see you again :-)
Richard Wormald: Professional and friendly

Mike D: Chris explained the problem with the knee's and why it causing the pain. He then detailed the different treatments available for the osteoarthritis in the knee's. The Cortico-steroid injection has worked well, giving more movement and painless walking. Thanks Chris for the help given. Has made such a difference to quality of life.
Brett Fearnley-Cook: Clinic appointment was fine. However, zero follow up interest regarding if the procedure actually worked.
David McGloughlin: Successfully diagnosed problem and had an injection in my foot.. been in agony for weeks but pain gone within 2 days .. thanks again for your help!! Fantastic service.
Jane Sullivan: I visited this clinic last night June 2020My appointment was 9:30pm (they kindly stayed late for me)They were so professional and friendlyThe consultant did not rush and was very thorough he found the source of my pain and treated me for this while also giving advise with how to proceed.I can recommend this clinic enoughThank you so much for the kindness youShowed me.Jane Sullivan
Sarah Gough: A very professional and friendly service. After a scan, diagnosis and a cortisone injection the pain has slowly eased and I'm now on the road to recovery. Highly recommend.
Heather Taylor: I went to see Chris after being in agony with my shoulder for a month. He gave it an ultrasound and showed me exactly where the problem was. He explained everything in great detail which helped me to understand the problem and being a runner/cyclist himself is very aware of how injuries can occur. He gave me a steroid injection and after a less than a week, I had no pain at all in my shoulder. I'm absolutely delighted and on this result took my elderly Mother for the same on her hip. She had exactly the same result. I cant praise Chris highly enough.
Paul Bee: My father, who's 86 year's old had a consultation with Chris about pain in his knee. He had previously seen his doctor, who told him nothing could be done to treat the knee aside from ibuprofen gel and aspirin. Chris' diagnosis was osteoarthritis. He scanned the knee and gave him a cortisone injection. The pain subsided a few days later. Chris then put together a treatment plan to deal with the problem. He gave dad a thorough detailed explanation to help him understand the situation. I highly recommend Chris, thanks to him Dad can now walk normally again. Excellent first-class care!
Rodger Henderson: Following months of back pain I visited Chris at the clinic. And his Assessment and explanation of the problem was professional throughout. Whilst I was worried about having spinal injections the whole process was surprisingly easy and Chris made me feel at ease during the whole process .I am now two weeks after facet injections and difference is amazing. Alex McMullen: Accurate diagnosis and guided injections help manage painful bursitis in my hip. It is useful to have appointments readily available when needed.
Nigel Gilbert: Recently visited injection clinic and had the fluid in my knee aspirated then a steroid injection the result was fantastic and I am now able to return to normal activities. Highly recommend excellent service.

Sheffield Sports Medicine: what do users think?

Joyce lee: Attend the clinic to have an intolerance test, it was recommend by friends as the test help her daughter with bloating. And i suffer from eczema from young, the test allow me to found food that cause my skin condition. So totally worth it

mehreen saif: The best service. Still having ongoing treatment by Michael for my chronic foot pain and really impressed by the knowledge and way of treatment as ONE method that helped me to dig out my underlying health problems that even myself was unaware of but Michae some how found to be as a root cause. Already seeing very positive results and very hopefull to achieve my best version as a very supportive and healthy Gp for my own patients . Can not recommend enough. I would say,if you can buy health from your wealth, this is the place to go...(the reason, I am saying this is because,to see Michael is bit expensive but trust me it worths every single penny). And offcourse health is the most essential thing to enjoy your life.So if you have any issues in your life that is affecting your achievements,Michael is there to help you with all his knowledge and passion. Best wishes to everyone reading the review..

Bryan Simms: Amazing service. I’ve had back pain for 22 years and have tried many physios, sports doctors and chiropractors even from Harley street in London. The process was so simple and my back pain has gone from struggle to get out of bed with 10/10 pain to zero. Thank you so much for finding the cause of the problem and even curing my food intolerance that caused bloating, low energy and reflux. Cannot recommend enough if you have struggled with long term pain or symptoms and nothing else has worked.

Henry Z: Attend Dr Lee seminars in Germany and was treated by him as I was suffering from long-standing injury from a car accident over 10 years ago, after number of operations throughout the years I still in pain, but after Dr. Lee had treated me for 20 mins all my pain is just got, I never felt so light, it felt like all the weight was lifted off my neck, shoulder, hip, and knee. His treatment method is so not what you expect, I am also a health care professional hence I attend his seminar I still try to get my head around his method, but I guess that is why the results are also unbelievable. You need to try it to believe it. If I can give 100 stars I will, And I quote one of the line Dr. Lee said in the seminars is “ You need to look at the body as a whole, the mind, body and soul, as they are all connected” he really had to change my life is been over 5 weeks since he treated me and I am still pain free and I had not taken one pain killer since he treated me which I normally have about 30 a day to help with the pain. He is a live safer will highly recommend him. AMAZING LOVELY PERSON

Stephen Calder: Innovative physiotherapy. This was different to my usual experience, but Julia explained what she was doing and how parts of the body influence others in different ways. She even managed to identify ailments I had not mentioned during the consultation. Excellent care and service, Julia was even prepared to move her hours to accommodate me. Thank you.
Melanie Bryan: I arrived to see Michael with a very complex nerve pain issue after suffering eclampsia that caused severe mobility issues. Consultants told me I would have to give up work and slow the pace of my life, ask for help to take care of my children, at that point I found Dr Lee. Soon after I was back to good health again, still working hard and raising my children within just a few months I had fully recovered and was medication free. I'm writing this review 2 years later and I've not had an issue since.
Joyce lee: Attend the clinic to have an intolerance test, it was recommend by friends as the test help her daughter with bloating. And i suffer from eczema from young, the test allow me to found food that cause my skin condition. So totally worth it
Madeleine Cope: When looking for the place online where I could leave a review, I came across one that perfectly phrased what I wanted to say. I have essentially copied this in abbreviated form, as well as adding some of my own thoughts.- I would not recommend this place if you want any sort of evidence based therapy. What is practiced is a mixture of reflexology and other pseudo scientific methods amounting to nothing more than a lot of nonsensical theory and a interventional placebo effect.- I was assured in the appointment that the therapy had "fixed" my chronic problems and they wouldn't return. I was of course extremely skeptical, but when you are a patient and in pain, you feel vulnerable and self-conscious within the appointment itself, so I didn't feel I could voice my concerns. In fact you feel hopeful that this might be true. Needless to say the promised "fix" did not occur. This is damaging to a patients mental health, which is already impacted by the chronic pain.- On a more basic level, the appointment was poorly managed time wise. The information/rationale/explanation was scattered and not easy to follow as a patient which leads to confusion. Given, how the "unknown" plays into pain, I think this approach seems strange and ineffective.- At the end of the appointment, I pushed for more information on what I could do going forward to help my pain and was told that I needed to book an appointment the following day to see someone else at the practice (and part with more large sums of money no doubt).- It was extortionate! There is no prices on the website which I think is awful. I have seen many private practitioners over the years and they tend to all sit around the same price range. This was above and beyond in price. Obviously, this is made worse by the fact that the appointment was ineffective and I honestly felt like the whole thing was a joke.- I attempted to complain and received no response. The issue I went in with was a chronic one, and undoubtedly comes with a psychological element. This appointment made me feel cheated and honestly upset. Please take time to consider who you see and what a "sports medicine" approach entails. If there was an option to put "no stars", I would.
Richard Barker: I would not recommend this place if you want any sort of evidence based therapy. What is practised is a mixture of reflexology and other pseudo scientific methods amounting to nothing more than a lot of nonsensical theory and a interventional placebo effect. If you are looking for any kind of strength and conditioning advice to supplement your sport I would not recommend Sheffield Sports 'Medicine' at all. If you want to waste money on any number of pseudo science e.g. osteopathy, reflexology or acupuncture then go for it - I take issue with a clinic that makes claims of providing physiotherapy services and then actually delivers practise with no evidence base whatsoever.Furthermore, after my experience of the clinic despite three attempts to contact the clinic no response was given, which was strange as prior to my visit they were very helpful and responsive. Please look through their website before booking an appointment to have a look for yourself at the anecdotal type 'evidence' they have and don't waste your money here.
Simon B: Thank you curing my long standing achillies problem. I can now enjoy running with out pain 🙏
Sarah Isaacs: I saw Dr Lee for around 8 sessions and the progress I made (and sustained) working with him has made such positive change to my life. If you are like me and exhausted all the NHS routes and still suffering, please visit Dr Lee. He is an intelligent, kind man with the ability to quickly identify what is causing you issues and work with you to get rid of them. Highly recommend.
Gill Dyal: I first met with Dr Michael Lee back in February for Sports Psychology help with my skiing.Since then I’ve said goodbye to my double vision after suffering for more than 20 years with it. I don’t pretend for one minute that I understand what Michael does, but whatever it is I can honestly say that it works.I’ve gone from taking a cocktail of 47 tablets a day for pain relief to taking nothing at all.A new way of life has started for me – I’m cycling again after a 34 year break and can walk for over 2 hours all without pain.I feel happier, healthier and more confident than I have done in years.I can't say that it hasn't been very challenging or painless but I can say that it has been tremendously rewarding.Yes, it’s been expensive but I can honestly say it’s been worth it - 100% without a doubt. When Covid-19 restrictions allow, I can’t wait to test it out with my skiing!Thank you Michael, Joyce and Sam.

ajm501501: I have had one appointment here recently and was far from impressed at all, firstly they had a 50% off offer and still cost £45 for 45mins of what was supposed to be Pyhsio therapy to help with a issue with a sprain to my left leg.How touching my nose would help I really wouldn’t know. But I was sent an email also offering me £10 credit for a five star review. As far as I know this is actually illegal to ask for a five star review for gain.So in my personal opinion I wouldn’t believe the five star reviews.I felt ripped off with no want to return to waste my money.I will go to tried and tested places that I have always felt happy with.ajm501501This is their email to me.Dear Anthony 😊It was a pleasure seeing you yesterday and we are so excited that you have put your health as a priority, so that we can get you back to your best.We hope that you had found yesterday's session helpful and more importantly that you had learnt something new about your body! I'm sure you can tell that we love providing the solutions to those in need and we want to help as many people as possible‼️ So... please could you do me a favour❓ There are 5 stars 🌟 below and we are always looking to provide a 5 🌟 service to everyone we meet. So, if we are doing a splendid job, we would be over the moon if you could leave us a 5 🌟 rating and review 😊So you're probably wondering where is my 🎁⁉️ So, for those that leave us a 5 🌟 rating and review on Google and Facebook, I'm going to give you a £10 voucher to use for your next booking 🤩 If you don't know what to write, here are a few ideas from reviews that we have received already,"Thanks to Michael i now have a boy that can look his momma in the eye and smile. For years we have been told his lack of eye contact and bad coordination were all part of his autism, 45 minutes with Sheffield's very own Magic Mike has proved them all very wrong. I will never be able to thank Michael enough for what he has done he is absolutely amazing. And he's sorted my back out too! They are such a great bunch of people when you visit, very friendly, make you feel very welcome cannot recommend enough. Don't think about it just book in, I guarantee you will wonder what on earth just happened be totally amazed and feel fantastic. Excellent service, fabulous people." Sbarry 79: Under physio for a few months now after a back injury, being seen by Kate Yeoman. It's been great, very effective and the team are lovely. Facilities at graves are good. Recommended
Ivor Smith: I would exercise caution here. Given the claims that Dr Lee makes I assumed he was a medical doctor, this is not the case. I asked where Dr Lee got his qualification from, as he is not on the GMC medical register, and received the answer he has many qualifications. Given some of the claims made, I assumed he must be a medical doctor, he appears not to be. I think he is a Doctor in Physiotherapy from the University of Montana. I think one should be made clear about this as at £200 for 45 minutes this is a rate one would pay for a physician. I cannot comment about the veracity of the claims made. A lot of subject matter experts on these fields would not make such bold claims.
Jayne Gledhill: Dr Lee has cured a stomach problem for my son over a very short period of time. We had previously seen several doctors and a specialist and he had had numerous medical tests, blood tests etc but without any success getting to the bottom of the problem. Dr Lee looks at the whole body and how everything works together. During the first session he worked out what the problem was and then began treatment. Our son is back in great health and doing really well with his sports again. Very glad that we went to see Dr Lee and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Amanda Alexander: I had been suffered with ME /cronic fatigue syndrome for 2 years , brain food , extreme fatigue , i couldnt walk up hills etc.Within 24 hrs of my treatment with Dr Lee i was symptom free, 6 weeks on and i feel great, thankyou so much .😁
Joe Hides: Incredible service, During my extensive career as a professional skier I have encountered lots of physiotherapists but Sheffield Sports Medicine's Dr Michael Lee is the best I have ever worked with.He has helped me overcome major injuries and allowed me to return to training sooner than I ever expected. I couldn't recommend Michael enough and I wouldn't choose anybody else for specialist and general treatment.
Liz Paice: After 5 months of knee pain, from tearing meniscus, and still waiting for surgery, I have been able to walk without pain after only two visits, and even walk up and down stairs without holding the rail. It has been so helpful.
Wendy Brown: I was recommended to see Michael about my neck problems. He was very thorough and greatly improved my mobility so I could drive and exercise again. He also gave me a set of exercises to control the problem. I was able to ski this month without the pain reoccurring. Thanks I will see you next month to keep me going.
Sean Needham: Cheers Michael another great session with you. My back will be good for another seasons golf.

The Barn Clinic: what do users think?

Anthony Foran: After years of not being able to walk properly I finally had enough. I went to my local GP and got referred to hospital, had some appointments and scans. I was left with the options of 1. Keep living with limited mobility and lots of pain 2. Remove the nerves in my foot I wasn’t feeling either of these options so started to investigate my options going private. This is when I found the Barn Clinic, I had a consultation and scan, the results showed that I actually had the "full house" of neuromas, 2 in each foot! All the nerves were 2 or 3 times the size they should of been. I had several treatments and now living pain free! Before the procedure I couldn’t even walk for half an hour before I was reduced to a painful crawl. Last week I climbed 2 mountains in 5 days with no pain from my feet at all. I have got my life back quite honestly and can only thank and praise Mr Weaver and all his lovely staff at both the London and Sheffield practices. Thanks so much Robin

DUNCAN WALLACE: I took my wife to have her foot procedure and we had a warm welcome at reception and were offered a drink. My wife was very happy with her treatment and we would highly recommend choosing The Barn Clinic for their professionalism.

SobsInTheKitchen: I would just like to say that I have been entirely delighted with the cryosurgery procedure on my left foot. Having suffered with the neuroma and the pain of the bursa has gone. However, occasionally now I do still feel like there is a lump under my foot when I get up in the morning and during the day too if I have been on my feet for a long period, also a slight numbing and tingling sensation can occur periodically. I find for a number of years my quality of life has improved greatly since the operation and I can now enjoy going on long walks with my husband without the fear of having to stop because of the pain in my foot.I would certainly recommend the procedure and indeed the clinic to anyone who is suffering from a neuroma in their foot.h

Abdul Dalghous: I suffer from a rare variant of planter fasciitis in my feet for at least 9 years and I have been to see various specialists both NHS and private to no avail. I decided to visit the barn clinic to see mr Weaver. Mr Weaver is very knowledgeable and caring and the practice is very stylish and immaculate. I have started the journey and I’m sure it will be successful. I highly recommend mr Weaver and his team.
Solomon: I had an amazing experience with the Barn Clinic. I booked in to get an ingrowing nail removed, they had plenty of availability and the podiatrist was very friendly. The whole experience was lovely and they worked hard to ensure I was happy and comfortable. They even gave me a check up appointment a week later to ensure the toe was healing okay. Highly recommend!
Heather Daley: I had a 0.9cm Morton Neuroma between 3rd and 4th toes and was naturally anxious about having cryosurgery, but I have to say I needn't have been. The procedure wasn't painful (just a little uncomfortable).I healex quickly with no pain.At the 5th week after my procedure I had some slight residual tenderness under the arch of my foot, which I was advised could happen for a few months. After 8 months I had my follow up scan and the neuroma has gone. Ive a small bursa instead now which is causing me a bit of discomfort but that's nothing to do with the procedure. One happy customer!

Gavin Weir: Was treated for a Morton's Neuroma on my left foot just over a year ago. There's been some improvement, and I now have maybe 25 per cent less pain than I did originally - but I have to say that's probably not enough to justify the price tag of £1,500. I still can't walk barefoot, and I still have to use an insert (and wear only extra-wide Skechers shoes!). Nice people, and professional equipment, etc - but the operation didn't work for me.
Marie Buckley: I had treatment for two Mortens Neuromas in Oct 2019 which cost approx £2000. I was told at the time that if the neuromas came back they would treat it again at a reduced cost but they omitted to tell me this would only apply if it occurred within 12 months. The condition has returned within 18 months and I have just been told I would have to pay the full fee again!
Wayne Hall: Sorted my wife's feet out
Alison Jones: I had cryosurgery for two neuromas and bursa in September 2016 . I had already tried the overpriced and fairly useless prescribed insoles £400 . Because there were two neuromas the price of surgery was doubled despite being done at the same time ?? I had some numbness for a few months but after about 6-9 months my symptoms recurred . I did go for a follow up - free - and was told I had two bursa only . The pain has just got steadily worse and following an NHS referral find I have two neuromas in exactly the same place but bigger . I feel it’s an expensive and unproven treatment. I was trying to avoid a GA but wish I’d just gone NHS to begin with and saved myself nearly £2000.
Clarice Walmsley: I had treatment for Morton's Neurons here a year ago and could not have chosen better. Being a podiatrist myself I would not think twice about recommending Mr Weaver to any of my patients. I am pain free and can now wear any shoe I like , even stupid ones. I can't thank the clinic enough.
Helcat sheffield: I really would not go here for treatment. The consultation was so awful with a very ill informed lady saying you need this treatment then being completely unable to describe how it works. They could easily damage your skin with this kind of badly trained person dealing with you.
Jeremiah M: Very over-priced. Discovered I could have gone to a Harley Street specialist in London for less cost.
RADIO RAY: About 5 years ago I attended the clinic for cryosurgery treatment for a Morton's Neuroma and it proved a suuccess. However last year 2014 I started to again suffer from foot problems with the same foot and received a specialist referral from my GP. In order to correctly diagnose my condition I was sent for an MRI scan which I believed would show the recurrence of my neuroma. I was wrong. My condition is Bursitis and the specialist stated the scan results showed NO SIGN of a neuroma. Complete proof that the cryosurgery treatment had done the job and five years later still proves effective. I have written previously about my satisfaction with your clinic and the experience and only write again to enforce this and support it to those who may be in doubt.

One Health: what do users think?

cpgreen272: Excellent service and communication. The hospital cancelled one of my appointments as the doctor was delayed in theatre. One Health contacted me the following day to reschedule another appointment for as soon as possible.

Phil Stevenson: I was feeling a bit let down by my GP and NHS physio after 6 months of excruciating sciatica, no sign of improvement and feeling like there was nowhere else to turn. The GP eventually referred me to The One Health Group to set up a consultation. I asked if I could select a surgeon and was told that would be no problem. I got a consultation with Mr George Spink up in Hull. Mr Spink explained my condition clearly, went through the MRI scans, and gave me the options in very clear terms. Most importantly he listened to my thoughts and concerns. He ensured I understood the risks and potential complications, and was very honest about the odds. I left feeling unhurried, informed, and confident that I’d made the right choice of surgeon. A week or so before surgery One Health sent me some physio to do in preparation for surgery via a third party called Zoom Physio. Confirmed via text message, then an email linked to a personalised physio plan that was simple and clear to use every day. A week later I was being prepped for the operation in Barlborough Hospital. Mr Spink came round to have a final chat before going into surgery and to go through some paperwork. The whole experience was excellent; from the hospital itself, the care I received from the team at the hospital, and the expertise, clarity and reassurance of Mr Spink. He was happy with how the surgery went, and a day after being discharged One Health have contacted me to confirm a follow up consultation. All in all I would say from the moment I was referred to One Health they communicated well, were available when I called, and the whole experience felt seamless. I’ve done a separate review on my thoughts about the experience at Barlborough Hospital.

Jeannette Stratton: I went into hospital with an arthritic hip due to previous trauma as a teenager. My leg had been left shorter than my other one and was not straight. My surgeon at Thornbury was determined to put it all right for me. I had technically 3 operations in one. I am still recovering but my legs are the same length, my leg is straight and I have a new hip. Thank you to the team at Thornbury.

Garry Atkinson: I had a herniated disc could hardly walk or sleep at night couldn’t work near constant pain and tingling in my back and leg 5 months off work was driving me crazy then this lucky Lincolnshire bloke went into a small hospital near chesterfield part of the One Health Group, on the Saturday I hobbled bent over in .and on Sunday I walked out tall and proud what a great team you all are from secretary’s door staff , tea makers, cleaners nurses, surgical staff and of course the surgeon all were great and a well organised team ,as hospital stays go they made it a very pleasant and successful stay. After being cut open drilled , hammered and chiselled I was back at work 6 months after originally going sick from work ,things are going well, healing to plan taking my time building up myself . Many thanks to you all

Kevin Canetti: Excellent consultancy, care, and after-op support. From the initial consultation, through the replacement knee operation, post-operation in and outside hospital care, the quality of service and facilities were excellent.

keith hill: Great experience at the one health group helped me through my surgery and set up aftercare and physio. Really good experience and results.life back on track thanks.

Russ Shelbourne: Excellent service and care from start to finish. Very thorough with all explanation, nothing was too much trouble,a full knee replacement.

Sue Wheeler: One Health personal were very professional and friendly during all interaction with me, before, during and after my surgery.
Matty Gribbin: After been on the waiting list For MPFL & TTO knee reconstruction, now I have finally had my surgery.I was sent to 2 wrong appointments. Then eventually the 3rd one was correct.4th appointment for surgery cancelled (Due to wrong equipment provided for surgery)- as nurse informed me.5th appointment for actual surgery went well.Follow up appointment for surgeon which has been cancelled all week as I found out by a staff member at Wakefield surgery, for me to arrive all the way without not been informed.I’ve not had any letter or communication, and yet again sent to appointment with a 2hour round trip with another £20 in fuel wasted for the 3rd time in a row.I’m left with no information for my recovery of surgery and no one has still contacted me since surgery other than my physio.
John Richards Newton: Excellent service and advice, knee replacement at Thornbury Hospital in July 2022. Brilliant surgeon and team resulting in being able to go for long painless walks. Many thanks to all involved.
Sean Kirwin: Had a knee replacement. As far as the surgery goes, technically went well (although I contracted an infection later, whole other story.) Unfortunately my consultant made the whole experience for me really unpleasant and upsetting. Too much to go into here unfortunately but he seemed about as disinterested in my wellbeing as its possible to be. Following my infection I was transferred to the Northern General Hospital, where the surgeons and doctors were amazing. My advice - do not accept the first consultant offered. Ask around and do some research. I should have.
Bev Hackleton: My experience with One Health group was amazing and would recommend their services to anyone. From a consultant appointment in August to having my knee replacement December 9th was so quick and efficient. Everyone that I came into contact with were professional, caring and reassuring. At the hospital the staff were lovely. I had been in pain for so long this operation as changed my life and I'm becoming more active every week that goes by........loving life now!
adrian hird: I have had several operations, replacements with one health group, first class service,I would like to give a special thanks to Mr.Garneti, consultant, he did my right hip replacement 7 years ago, delighted.bhighldelighted
peter gudgeon: This company offers a very efficient and thorough service working closely with the NHS. I can recommend them very highly.
Keith Brandom: I recently has spinal surgery at Sheffield with One Health group.I was well cared for and am delighted with the outcome of my operation. Thanks to all the staff. Highly recommended.
Aylene Walker: I was referred to Dr Dambatta by my GP following an MRI which identified a slipped disc in my back I was then placed on a waiting list for surgery. I received my appointment to attend Barlborough Hospital on Friday 2nd September . After I realised its over 80 miles from my home I live alone and have no real support here. My hospital letters stated my appointments only and a contact number for Barlborough. I phoned the hospital and was informed by reception they have nothing to do with arranging transport my GP should have organised it. As my pre op appointment date was in 4 days time i rearranged it for 16th.As i was given no information . I went to my GP the receptionist told me the hospital arranges transport . I went to C.A.B who told me my G.P should have given me info failing that the hospital will give me a form. I then phoned patient transport who told me i wasnt eligible. I have spent the whole time prior to the 16th being batted backwards and forwards to various people. Eventually I gave up trying. My father who is 86 years old and lives in Boroughbridge drove 80 miles to pick me up in Bridlington and drove me to Barlborough, he was supposed to be taking me but has now tested positive for covi.I attended my pre op appointment and the nurse explained that One Health Group should have organised everything and gave me your phone number. My appointment finished at 17.05 . I rang your phone but you close at 17.00. I have left a message on your answerphone. I have tried to ring today but your phone number doesnt work , i know its a bank holiday and no one is at work today but that doesnt explain why your phone number isnt working.I have been on your website , where is my personal patient liason person that I should have been allocated to guide me through and support me thro the process. Why did I only find out at my appointment all this. I have my operation on 23 rd . in 4 days time
Julie Smith: Following my Operation in May 2022 , I would like to share the excellent service I received from One Health. The Customer Service was very good . The surgeon was excellent and I would like to highly recommend them . My doctors referred me to One Health and I was treated through the NHS . It did involve a little travel, as my consultant wasn't covering locally. But so worth while. Thank you so much for your help .
june walters: WAS GIVEN REALLY GOOD CAREBY FRIENDLY STAFF AND DOCTORS. i HAD WONDERFUL TREATMENT AND PRIVACY AT ALL TIMES.
I got a consultation with Mr George Spink up in Hull.Mr Spink explained my condition clearly, went through the MRI scans, and gave me the options in very clear terms. Most importantly he listened to my thoughts and concerns. He ensured I understood the risks and potential complications, and was very honest about the odds. I left feeling unhurried, informed, and confident that I’d made the right choice of surgeon.A week or so before surgery One Health sent me some physio to do in preparation for surgery via a third party called Zoom Physio. Confirmed via text message, then an email linked to a personalised physio plan that was simple and clear to use every day.A week later I was being prepped for the operation in Barlborough Hospital. All in all I would say from the moment I was referred to One Health they communicated well, were available when I called, and the whole experience felt seamless.I’ve done a separate review on my thoughts about the experience at Barlborough Hospital.
keith hill: Great experience at the one health group helped me through my surgery and set up aftercare and physio. Really good experience and results.life back on track thanks.
Colin Percival: Thoroughly efficient service, well cared for from start to finish. Very friendly staff with excellent pre & post op attention, would recommend happily to anyone.
Katherine Atkins: I have had several appointments in the last few years, through One Health Group, for problems with a bulging disc. I have been seen at convenient times and places accordingly, in reasonable wait times.I recently had my, what I hope will be the last appointment, last week for surgery.I would highly recommend the One Health group as a means of alternative route to consultation and if needed, surgery. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and understanding, all of the sites I have attended, have been clean and tidy with great facilities, the consultants, and in particular Mr Bosma with whom I have had several appointments, resulting in subsequent surgery, are amazing individuals.I would like to personally thank each and every one of the staff I have had contact with, over the years, and in particular Mr Bosma, who has given me a second chance at a pain free life, after many, many years of pain.Thank you so much.

SpaMedica: what do users think?
Della Stone: Had cataract surgery on both eyes at the Chapeltown branch.Fast, friendly and very organised. Would highly recommend it.
Dawn Norburn: I had my first cataract surgery at Chapletown on Saturday 2 days ago. My whole appointment went like clock work. Surgery took about 6 or 7 minutes and was painless. Wow, thank you for giving me back the precious gift of vision, I can see perfectly, your whole team are angels and look forward to having my second eye done. Thanking you all again xxx
Julie Waller: From entering the building the door man ,the staff and all the medical team outstanding. My dad was extremely impressed with the outstanding care and support .Cleanliness 100%Highly recommended
kath backhouse: Took my Dad for laser treatment. Fantastic place.
Mary Clark: I would like to thank spamedica staff at smithy wood drive Chapel town for operating on my right eye yesterday the 31st January the staff could not do enough for me they was so good with me and I have to go back opticians on the 1st march to check my eye ant see if it's all OK and to see if I need my left eye done but thank you all so my and the surgeon for doing a wonderful job mrs m clark Hoyland S74 9QX
David and Jax Parkin: Visited this private hospital earlier this week with my mother for a first appointment to discuss cataract surgery. There is plenty of car parking with spaces quite near the door for those with mobility difficulties. There is a lift to the first floor where the assessment took place. Waiting / assessment time was approximately 3 hours. Staff were friendly and supportive. My mother was given a cancellation date for two weeks time for her surgery which I thought was really quick and efficient.
SkyChaser High: My dad is/was under the of SpaMedica care for cataracts.Great location and easy to get to just a min off the M1. Simple enough to find just look for the Yorkshire Water building.Dad has nothing but praise for the service provided.Dropped him off and they call when he is done (if it's a long appointment) never had bother parking up.
Paul Skinns: Apart from an hour wait at the beginning, could be due to many things, a really good experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the whole procedure was so relaxing I feel a sleep during the during surgery, brilliant.
Jean Black: Just had second cataract operation and both went very well. All the staff here were absolutely lovely making you feel at ease. The Clinic was well run very professional right from the initial assessment. The actual operation was over within no time at all. Post operative had no problems at all and looking forward to not wearing distance glasses. I would highly recommend SpaMedica.
Susan Gale: I have just had cataract surgery at spa medica Sheffield , I have received excellent care before and after surgery, I couldn't have wished for better , I would highly recommend them , thank you
Sylvia McCormick: The majority of the staff are wonderful, the place is superb, well set up. Do not expect to be treated if you struggle with your back. I quote " We are a private hospital not set up to deal with people like you. We even get sent people in wheelchairs who we are not set up to deal with" Further if you struggle with masks as I do there is no provision for you to remove it and the staff do not wear face shields, only masks.
Robert Payton: Highly professional, clean and efficient
Anne Heathfield: On behalf of my father, Barrie Heathfield, He would like to thank, Ruth Berry and her fantastic team for, my laser treatment on the 3rd February 2022 on, his right eye. Barrie, my dad vision is excellent. He cannot thank you enough.
Evie Reverie: Great service from the staff for the actual medical procedures but god forbid if you get there before 10 minutes to your appointment (due to the lovely 1 bus an hour schedule), its straight outside in the freezing cold and whilst its raining. Appalling place for surgeries and check ups location wise.
Deb Sheff: This is not an NHS clinic and should not be advertised as such. You charge the NHS and make a profit but to do so, you use all the referral systems paid for by the NHS, employ staff that have been trained by the NHS, and use NHS marketing.
anthony oxley: Had my first cataract surgery on 14th Oct. Excellent treatment from the moment I arrived from every member of staff that attended to my needs! Now looking forward to the other eye surgery in the future!
brian slade: This is how a hospital should be run. No messing about, the first visit covered everything that was required and the second was the operation. The Surgeon was excellent as were the support staff, the whole operation was completed in just over 1 hour, .thank you
alan burkinshaw: hi had my right eye done aug 6, wow like thick fog been lifted.from entering the building to leaving top class .all the staff are at the top of their game.hoping to have the other one done soon.many thanks
