Lucy Jones: Fantastic service from a hugely knowledgeable and friendly team. I went in with a specific problem and they diagnosed and fixed it there and then. They also took the time to explain to me what had gone wrong, both by showing my on the bike and on spare parts - all in a totally unpatronising way. Incredibly reasonable prices and a really ethical business. Win win!

Mia Rafalowicz-Campbell: The team at Langsett are friendly and very helpful. They sold me my trusty ebike at the end of last year, and they’ve sorted any issues that have come up along the way, including sourcing a new battery when mine got stolen. They work quickly too. Definitely recommend!

Pat Glanfield: Independent cycle store in Sheffield. I have been looking for an electric bike for a while, but owing to my height ( or lack of it 🤔) I thought is was impossible. However, that was before I met Paul, at Langsett cycles, and he managed to find me the perfect fit!! When I arrived I thought the shop was closed, as it seemed boarded up! But, they were "ram raided" just before Christmas and are having to cope until insurance sorted and repairs done. So, even though working in less than optimal conditions, Paul was so helpful. Big thanks to you, Paul, and your colleagues. 👍

After being told somewhere else my bike wasn’t worth repairing, I brought it here and by the end of the next afternoon it was as good as new, with new parts at a very reasonable price! Very friendly and an all-round easy and enjoyable experience. Very highly recommended for servicing!

Matthew Lawrence: The workshop is disorganised, with staff carrying out work without approval.. latest is that I’ve been waiting 6 weeks for a campag part to be sent from Italy - when the same part is available next day at 33% less than what I’ve been charged. Throughout the 6 weeks there have been no updates, even when I’ve been promised a call back.. parts ordered, outside of the original request. When I asked to see the part to be replaced, to check the claim it was seized, it couldn’t be found (I got other replaced parts along with the bike). I’ve used this workshop a number of times in the past and the staff have always been polite and knowledgeable - this time, no one knew what was going on, where things were, couldn’t find my order on the system, and no apology - just got told I probably did get a phone call and that they’re too busy to get anything wrong.

Mark Thackeray: I only went into the shop to see if they could fix a faulty back light and left with two software updates, two found gears, a full service and a thorough inspection of my Brompton Electric bike, as well as a new back light. Top marks to Chris, to whom nothing, or so it would appear, was too much trouble. A brilliant experience so please, please, give the man a pay rise!
Claire Barnes: Popped in on Sunday for a look around to be greeted by a very young but knowledgeable Henry, my partner received excellent advice & service from Henry which resulted in him buying a bike there & then. I would highly recommend JE James as a first port of call and would be shocked if you tried anywhere else after! Definitely deserving of the 5 star rating!!

Ben Walker: Having had a problem with an e-bike our purchased at another store, we sought some advice & help from Giant Sheffield branch. The service was excellent. Tony, Pete & Lisa were extremely friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Despite them not stocking this particular bike, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our issue ended up being solved by them and we are very grateful. I previously bought some bike clothing from the same store and it was a similarly excellent level of service. We will continue to use this store and recommend it highly only to all our friends. Thanks Giant Sheffield!

Toby Hudson: I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Giant as my first road bike was an OCR about 15 years ago and it’s still going strong, but I wanted something with discs and mudguards. Andy, Tony and everyone else I spoke to there was really helpful in finding the perfect bike and getting it totally sorted and exactly as I wanted it with mudguards, different disc rotors and going tubeless. Big thanks to the chap whose name I unfortunately didn’t get, who helped me to the car around the corner despite it being past closing time. I couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

razktrg: I bought a new chain online and tried to fix onto my bike. Wasn’t possible as the chain link was too stiff. I called Giant Sheffield and spoke to Jesse, he asked me to pop down to the shop. Only took him and the mechanic a few minutes to sort it out… Thanks guys

Chris Owen: I’ve just picked up a new bike with the cycle to work scheme and the whole team were brilliant. There were a lot of bits to sort but Ben and the team were excellent and made it very simple to sort. It was first new bike in 20+ years and Ben was very patient to show me how the new tech worked which was very helpful. Great experience - thank you!
Christopher Brown: Decent bike shop with a huge range. Staff are a bit hit and miss but if you are in the market for a new bike its as good a place to start as any. Cycle to work schemes usually work with Evans as well.
Nick Mosley: Usually really good service in here but the rude little midget who was behind the desk today look up as if I’d interrupted her personal time although I probably did as she didn’t have a uniform on. Then asked her colleague if they sold cassette spacers and was met by a cascade of whys, what for, and your wrong kinda look! How to make a customer feel not welcome. Get this member of staff off the shop floor one of the worst cases of customer service!
Will Reilly: This is an excellent bike shop. The mechanics in here are always very helpful, very honest and reasonable with their prices. I cycle alot and am lucky to have this place as my local bike shop. The team will always fix my bike quickly for a very good price.
