SUZANNE WOOD: Good cafe and of course the great little coffee shop at the front of the store. They are one of the few stores in the centre of sheffield that sell decent selective clothing items. For both young and old and for larger sized ladies too. Plus they have a much needed bra measuring service for the ladies. They sell white goods. And much more. Great place

Graham Martin: Nice, small, traditional department store on The Moor. Clothes, furniture, toiletries, gifts etc. Also a restaurant, a couple of cafés.

David Burkhardt: Great to have one family run in dependant proper department store left in Sheffield. Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Second time I have bought made to measure curtains for my home here, and whilst the prices are not the cheapest, the service and quality is excellent, - not often found in similar businesses these days. Atkinson often run very generous and sales which does help with prices! I am so glad they survived the pandemic.

j P: IF YOU ARE AN EBAYER WHO USES CLICK & COLLECT, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! I went to collect an item (a DVD recorder) that was on Click & Collect, only to be told Argos now have a NEW weight restriction rule for parcels and if they are above a certain weight that they will refuse them and that they will go back to sender. In fact, the ludicrous staff member told ME to be careful what I ordered in future. WHAT?! How can I be careful!!! If it says Click&Collect as an option, this (surely) is “binding” that Argos (or which ever store is chosen) HAVE to accept it. There are NO mentions of weight restrictions on Ebay. Argos haven’t even informed Ebay to remove Argos from the Click & Collect option. So, let’s analyse this. When we order an item from Ebay, are we supposed to check with the seller the weight of the item? Are we THEN expected to contact Argos to ask if this weight is acceptable?!! This would make ordering from Ebay a VERY lengthy process and would take “days” for EACH purchase. This is a farce and is in the realms of stupidity, and will spell the end of Online shopping from Ebay when people rely on Click & Collect. I’ve never heard anything so ludicrous. How difficult would it be for Argos to tell Ebay they wish NOT to accept items on Click&Collect? This would be VERY simple. If you don’t want items to be delivered, tell Ebay! Be warned about this stupid new rule and take the necessary precautions when ordering from Ebay on Click&Collect.

Ruchksana Khan: Visited the store for the first time today and what an amazing experience. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff upon arrival and it was obvious to see that this really is a customer focused store. Friendly staff, lovely designer pieces and a breath of fresh air compared to the more high end department stores. I had the pleasure of using the spa today which was absolutely lovely. Jessica gave me a fantastic neck, shoulder and back massage. Thank you so much, very relaxing! Was able to purchase some lovely fragrance that was kindly wrapped for me when requested. I was even asked if I wanted to wait inside the store when I was standing outside in the drizzle waiting for a friend. Will definitely be returning thank you.
Charlie delaney: Ordered a bag with next day delivery. The wrong bag arrived, so I contacted customer services to request that the correct bag was sent with next day delivery. It was explained by the e-commerce director that this was not possible due to time of day (16:30) but it could be delivered the day after tomorrow. I agreed to this as I urgently needed the bag as a gift. The bag never arrived as it was apparently ‘lost in transit’ - terrible service.

Staff should probably listen to customers and understand their requests, Not to ask the customer to stand at the till and look things up on the Sandersons website on their phone. The product was not in stock, but it could have been ordered and there were 3 alternatives products available in store. Non of these were offered as the assistant didn’t actually care or know to do this, so a sale was lost and a customer annoyed. Ah well.
Mark Gibbon: Ordered some items online as Christmas gifts, the site says they offer next day delivery. They use DPD, who four days in a row provided a delivery slot, then after arranging to be home and waiting for delivery, they never even attempted to deliver to my house. I spent over an hour complaining to DPD after the third attempt, who promised they would deliver that day, and then didn’t again. I contacted Sanderson’s as my contract is with them, and they weren’t interested in helping. Terrible customer service.

When I got to the till 20% wasn’t deducted, and when I asked,the assistant she said there wasn’t a 20% discount today she was, rude and very condescending. I went back to the Barbour area and and the 20% sign had been removed ! Disappointed that Sandersons feel the need to rob their customers like this !

Craig Harris: The stuff on their website is out of stock and they take your money.Placed an order and after a few days had no dispatch email, contacted customer services who said they were seeing if it was in-stock at there other stores and would get back to me before the end of the day....guess what they never got back to me..tried ringing and when I did get through was told all the online customer service staff had gone home. Was the last date also for Xmas dispatch today so someone ain't getting a Xmas present thanks to Sanderson's.Selling out of stock items and then not contacting there customers, first time ordering from Sanderson's and the last.Also shows how bad they are with their customer services they don't even respond to their reviews here.....will update on how long it takes to get my refund?If they would like to give me a ring I could maybe do some training on how we operate our customer services on our e-commerce stores.Update: all emails 8 in total ignored, rang customer services this morning and said I could not speak to anyone and I had to send an email.....what a joke, will have to claim money back through PayPal resolution.....hope your CEO reads these reviews.

Sara Rossborough: Appalling service.I ordered online spending nearly £450 on clothing.£297.50 worth of products purchased never arrived.I emailed them numerous time asking where my items were. I was fobbed off left on hold ignored and given excuses.I still have not received any refund or the items. I received only two items the rest I was told would be sent out to me on a different day. That never happened.I do not recommend this company.It's an absolute nightmare to do business with them to be honest, they take your money then literally don't send the items you purchase.

Maria G: I paid for an item online and had to pick it up from this store due to it not being available for delivery. I tried ringing the number provided to check if I could take the car to the back door to collect due to it being a heavy item. Unfortunately it was an automated message then the phone line went dead. The next day I went to pick up my item and asked at the counter if they could leave it at the back door for me to put straight into the car. The lady said they are not doing it due to covid situation but I could use their trolly to take it to the car. Fair enough. A guy came with my item and dropped it in front of me. I asked for the trolly and he said no. I told him that the lady had already offered for me to use it. He just shrugged his shoulders. I asked how can I get it to my car as the nearest parking is far away, especially for heavy items. He just shrugged his shoulders again and acted like he didn't care! His customer service skills are non existent! Luckily a nice member of the public offered to take it to my car for me. I will not be shopping at this branch ever again and would not recommend. Can't wait for my usual branch to re open.
Daniel David-john (The Retail Trader): Went there yesterday to get a monster truck and a remote control car. I can't fault the products. However it's my 2nd visit there and there is this man who works at the counter and has the worst customer service skills going. The 1st time he served me he was to busy telling his colleague how he was in a argument with a customer. The second time her served the man in front of me and was speaking so down to him I wanted to step in. He also.l spoke to me in a way I wanted to make an issue but having two kids I didn't want them to see me.angry. This guy clearly should not be working with customers and should be kept in the warehouse.

I may just have been lucky with my timing but each time I've been straight to the counter or first in line so never had much of a wait either. So quick and convenient even though it looks really small for an argos. Still probably a good idea to check availability online and may not stock larger items (can't say for sure as I've never purchased anything large from this branch)Staff have been polite every time I've been.

Paula Meadows: DO NOT COLLECT FROM HERE. There is no parking anywhere near the Argos in the Sainsbury's, it's in the opposite department store. You will need to carry any furniture outside, up a hill, along the main road, down some steps, into a lift and to your car. There is no system set up for anyone to help you take your items to your car.

My partner picks up a bottle of perfume and we were accosted by one of the sales people. Being very much in our personal space, she obviously thought we were going to steal it. We were made to feel like criminals actually. I am a fragrance enthusiast having recently purchased a £200 fragrance, so I certainly wasn’t going to steal a £50 one. I would’ve maybe understood if we were dressed like those typical teenage yobs but even so, don’t get up in peoples space and assume they are going to steal. You won’t be getting any money from me ever.
