Genine Thompson: I bought a Safety 1st baby gate from Smyths at Drakehouse, it was so complicated to assemble and it transpired 2 vital nuts were missing. Returning the product to the store I was informed that because it was a child safely product it was Smyths policy not to give a refund! I am therefore expected to use a child SAFETY gate that is unsafe.
Jason W: Absolute shambles! Went to take a child’s tablet back which was never used as it was the worst tablet I’ve ever come across!!! The managers customer service wasn’t up to my standers! Don’t buy the child’s tablets from here!
Jonathan Marks: Great shop and very helpful staff even with all the daft regulations at the moment. Popped over today to take my little boys brand new scooter back which had a very unusual issue with the stem they had a quick look and exchanged for a brand new boxed one there and then. Other companies please take note of this. Very satisfying customer service. Thanks again we will be returning
Jo Goodchild: My daughter is autistic and one of her things is to just walk round the shop occasionally stopping to play with a toy. We must have looked quite suspicious at first but I explained to the staff and they were fantastic about it. It is a lovely place to go and there is always something new to see. Dina Horton: I was today served by a Male staff member who acted as though he hadn’t the time to help me choose very expensive Xbox items. He was vague and couldn’t be bothered and was anti social in helping, no smile or politeness. I don’t think he should be working there as kids need nice happy smily people around them not miserable I helpful staff. I had no choice cos if I had the time I would’ve gone and spent my money elsewhere. Thumbs down for him behind the gaming counter. 😟

Annika Owen: I absolutely love Snugg. The range and quality of their products is the best in Sheffield. I don’t shop anywhere else now for my sons. The staff are very knowledgeable and will go out of their way to help you. I recently bought my son a balance bike and then next time I went in they asked him all about it. Which he loved telling them about. Couldn’t recommend this shop enough.

Holly Kirl: SO SO SO happy to have a shop in sheffield were I can buy my favourite brands in the flesh! What I love the most is how the brands really care about where their products come and how they are sourced, we need to support more brands like this! Mini Rodini, Liewood, Konges Slojd and Mini A Ture are to name a few. The staff are really friendly and always keep my little ones entertained whilst I shop!

We were helped by Charlotte who advised us about a travel system we saw and was so helpful, telling us everything we needed to know. She couldn't have been any more helpful. We decided to go for that travel system and came home with a lot more knowledge. Thanks to Charlotte for making our exciting experience even better, without pressuring us to buy anything.
Laura Chapman: We visited the mamas and papas opposite Meadowhall (upstairs in next home) and had the best experience, we went in not knowing one thing about prams and just thinking they were all the same but just looked different and wow.. Kerry was so lovely and helpful she didn’t try ‘selling’ us anything, she simply answered any questions we asked about prams and demonstrated the ones we were interested in, she was so knowledgable and knew every little bit of detail about them!We have fully made our minds up about which pram we will be getting now, thanks so much Kerry! :)

Hannah Robinson: Myself and my husband are expecting our first baby and wanted to see prams and car seats in person before another potential lockdown. We booked a personal shopping session and had such a fantastic experience. Michaela was fantastic, demonstrated the pram and all the different attachments and let us have a go ourselves. She also talked us through the car seat options and again demonstrated them. She was able to answer all our questions without trying to pressure us in to buying anything. Everything felt very covid safe, with wipes used between the assistant and us handling the pram. Would highly recommend a personal shopping experience and the store in general. Looking forward to our pram bundle arriving!
Hannah C: Unfortunately had a really disappointing experience shopping for a travel system. The 3 sales women took a car sales approach - pushy and all competing against each other to have our attention. They were knowledgeable about each pram but when it came to demonstrating each system this was a shambles. Despite all 3 attempting for several minutes, non of them could demonstrate how the pram collapsed with 1 hand (one of the unique features they had talked about.) We had no time or space to browse for ourselves and the pushy approach meant we were asked to leave our details for a personal shopper experience which we attempted to do but non of them could operate the online booking system. After several attempts and us providing our details several times they appeared to have managed this however then followed us out of the store to ask for our details again as it hadn’t worked! A frustrating experience and not what you expect from such a well known brand. Won’t be shopping there again unfortunately and have since ordered our dream pram from a small independent company who provided a 5 star experience.

Emma S: Always a fantastic service in the Sling Spot and in the Snug for a consultation. Both me and my husband have had sling consultations with Kiri and they have always been fantastic, giving us confidence in new sling skills! Hannah Raine: I just cannot recommend this service enough. I don't know what I'd have done without it. Professional, helpful, so incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. We are so, so lucky to have this 5 star service in Sheffield. If you're thinking about getting a sling or carrier this is an absolute must visit. The consultations are thorough and 100% worth every penny when you're looking at an investment like a baby carrier, when you really need the fit to be perfect to properly support both your shoulders and back and your baby, whilst of course being fully confident with your baby's safety. I went with my husband when I was pregnant to look at options and it was so helpful, and our stretchy wrap was my number 1 most useful product we bought. I went again when my baby was a little older and we were ready for something a little more structured and after some fantastic advice from Kiri and working through some options I trialled one for a week which I then went on to purchase. In addition, I have used the 10 minute Zoom consultations a few times which were so helpful when I needed some tips and reassurance. The Facebook group is full of tips and if you have a question you get a super speedy, thorough response. Finally, the 4T sessions run by Lindsay Snow of Understanding Kids but in coordination with Rosie and Kiri from the sling library were just so helpful in those early days, whether this is your first baby or not.

Laura I.H. Bennett: Huge thanks to the Sling Surgery team. With newborn twins born during lockdown, the support they provided through the 4th trimester course and the sling advice was absolutely invaluable. We had a few ten min appointments via Zoom and one longer in-person appointment to try different slings. The covid precautions they have put in place are exemplary. We hired a number of different slings: stretchy slings in the early days and more structured ones later on. We absolutely love carrying our babies this way, especially in the first 3 months when they're so tiny! Thank you for all your wonderful work, Rosie and Kiri and the rest of the team.

I'm in love with slinging all over again!!!I didn't realise just how uncomfortable my baby size Sleepy Niko had gotten, but this is amazing!!! I should not have left it so long. So comfy. And not at all sweaty over the hot and sunny bank holiday. And there are buckles to keep the hood up to keep the sun off and give extra head support for the sleeper - I didn't even know I needed those but they are an amazing touch.AND it folds so small! I can fit it in the bottom of a bag and it doesn't take up the WHOLE bag - meaning I'm much more likely to take it and use it.LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Why did nobody tell me to upgrade to a toddler sling?!?!
Guy Hudson: Professional and friendly store selling a large range of carrys and baby carrying accessories. The Sling Spot offers a baby carry hire service with often deals and offers being available. Advice is given also in general on baby carrying along with best practices and safety tips. The staff were especially outstanding with great customer service every time I have been there with the my baby and my partner.

Ilhan Omar: If you are looking to buy a sling or want advice this is the place to go! The staff are warm and patient. Babies,children and people of all walks of life are welcome. More importantly they are very experienced so you can be reassured you are receiving sound advice about the safest and best way (for you) to carey your child. The shop is next door and attached to the Snug (sling library) which some people may not realise! So you can attend a library session and have a go at trying on the slings and go through to the shop to purchase or hire.

That's evident from the sofa in the shop and the offer of a cup of tea to any weary looking parent in need of more than a sling.This is a community of people who have all been there, who understand what it's like to be a parent. The sksli is a useful tool to navigate the journey, but even more vital, which this shop and it's attached library offer in bucket loads is a community, some say a family or a village, to help parents raising children.Can't recommend this place gighly enough for parents who walk in needing a sling and walk out with so much more that that.
