chr: It’s a nicely designed Café, with a good location in the SU. Sometimes it’s really packed and slightly disorganised, but it still gives me a special sense of comfort whenever I pass by when I am in the SU. I love the Pain au Chocolat (2.50£) Definitely my go-to order. The iced Americano (2.65£) is ok. I think most of the menu items are just ok hence my imperfect rating. It’s a decent place to chill and hang out. And definitely one of the highlights in the SU.
Holly Cooper: I come here quite often to get work done in the morning with the motivation of the nice coffee and tea they serve! All my experiences so far with the staff were great however I went in to get a coffee this morning and was served by a staff member who was very off handed with me! I went order from the place I usually order from, the staff member that served me, advised me to order from the non-takeaway section, after I ordered a pot of tea. This was done with no empathy towards me, as I was just a little confused as I always had no problem ordering drinks to stay in there. So I made my way over to the correct stay in section, were the same staff member served me. I tried to smile whilst I attempted to re-order to lighten the mood between us but to no avail. Throughout this, I just felt that I was unwelcome there and just in the way. I don’t expect staff to be overly nice to me but I do want to be treated as a person who makes mistakes sometimes!

I do believe it was myself who personally served you today so I just want firstly to apologise and say it definitely wasn't my intention to make you feel like that. I will say that if staff members have served you from the takeaway till for a pot of tea then it should have been done from the other till as we do have two separate styles of service (this has been in place since September 2020, the only exception being graduation weeks), so I just wanted to direct you to the right till so you'd be able to order more easily / simply on your next visit with us. EM: Cosy student coffee shop. The pricing is okay for a coffee shop, a few items are somewhat pricey but so far nothing has been disappointing. Baked goods come in reasonable sizes as well. It can be hard to find seating some days due to popularity. Vegan options are available with one or two gluten free options.

Lacey Mason: Good place for a coffee and cake, although it’s more of a young persons place as was loud (is close to the Uni so that’s a clue!) Had a nice cup of tea, but late in the day on a Thursday there wasn’t many cake options left. Annoyingly there was a meeting being held at 5.30pm which was closing time, but I was asked to move from my table at 5pm so they could set up and then a lady repeatedly came round telling us we would need to leave at 5.30pm.

Amjad A: The quality of coffee there is unreal! It’s extremely good and the variety of desserts selections and sandwiches is amazing. Overall I like the service and the atmosphere of the coffee shop. Highly recommend it.
Tom Myerscough: Top class all-round experience. Spoke to a lovely lady about the sourcing, roasting and traceability of their coffee beans and the difference between their blends on offer. She was very helpful and knew all about their products which makes a nice change from the usual, impersonal service from large coffee shop chains. Delicious drinks and cake and even bought a bag of their own beans to brew at home. Was very pleased to see that the beans are traceable to the single farm on which they were grown, especially for likeminded coffee enthusiasts! Will definitely be returning when I’m next in Sheffield. Superb!

David: Great Service, Great Coffee! Only been a couple of times. The service is one of the best in town. So welcoming and friendly and even bought my coffee to the table. It can be difficult to get a seat once you do it’s cosy enough. Prices are higher than normal you get what you pay for. With everything go up theses days. Let’s hope this chain doesn’t keep raises prices. It may put customers off.

Psy Doc: I have been a regular customer. However lately the service seems to be slipping down. I visited the shop today and ordered a cup of tea. The man on the counter clearly seems distracted and as I waited for my tea, the lady waitress arrived with a small coffee. Once I advised her of the correct order, she asked me to go to the till and pay for the tea again, which I did. I then waited for almost ten minutes for the tea but it never arrived. There were hardly any customers in the coffee shop waiting for their order. I then noticed the lady making tea gossiping with the some people on the counter and not giving any attention to my order. I had to cancel my order walk away. Absolutely dismal service!

Jessica Barton: I would recommend this place to anyone. The decor is beautiful, the service is impeccable, the staff are super friendly and the food if absolutely amazing! The do very good coffee as well, I was so impressed ❤️ They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan option that do not compromise on taste too as well as plant based milk options with no extra cost
Ian: Called in for lunch whilst shopping in the city. Found via Google. Staff were amazing very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Food was really good. Coffee was good, could have done with a bigger mug for me tho, but I do love a big coffee. We will be back again.

Steve Cooke: The avocado on toast was very tasty but it was more ‘poached eggs on toast with avocado’; the avocado being a sort of ‘spread’ on the toast. Nonetheless, it was delicious. Our waiter, Bob, was very friendly, witty and welcoming. Will definitely be going back for more.

Amazing croissants, we had an almond and chocolate one, along with a flare white and a latte. All really very lovely, and I’m really fussy normally. Not to expensive either, as matched to similar coffee shops. Well worth the visit and the staff are very attentive and lovely / friendly. We’d go again

Michaela Robbins: We had our wedding reception there sat 20th may and mite I say it was all we could of hoped for and more , Lottie the events manager was absolutely amazing , she couldn’t do enough for us to make the day as special as it was and all the staff on the night too even when I had issues with the dj 2 days before the big day she was there straight away offering to sort it if they had let us down ❤️ just so happens he was in Ibiza n couldn’t get back to me till the day before 🤣 she was adamant she would dress the room for me and what can I say ,, it took a hell of a lot of pressure off us and it looked amazing , thank you so much to u all it really was magical and it wouldn’t of been if it wasn’t for you guys 🎉🙏🏼 I highly highly recommend for any party I wish there was a 1000 star cos she’s up there , thanks again xx

Kassandra Ko: The vanilla lattes we ordered were perfect. Coffee was a decent blend. We ordered the eggs florentine with salmon and we were not disappointed. Large portion and amazing hollandaise and seasonings. Quick service and a trendy place. We definitely followed them on Instagram and will come back when visiting. Excellent and friendly staff, would recommend.

Chloe Smith: Love the breakfasts here, especially the pancakes. They have pastries too. Couch is a good spot for meeting at lunch time as they have a nice lunch menu, or even just to grab a coffee. There's plenty of space and it has a relaxing vibe. Have also been here for after work drinks so you could say it's a good venue no matter what time of day.
João Paulo Biancardini: Used to be my favourite spot in Sheffield to have my brunch. Great place , great food, great coffee..but as a frequent customer I noticed they reduced drastically the portion and sizes of some options as eggs Benedict for example, which makes no sense for the price you pay anymore.

Manca Kapac: Relaxing atmosphere and laid back staff make it a great place for a brunch on a day off. A good range of vegetarian and meat dishes. A delightful drink I’d never experienced before (Cape-town Fog) combines red-bush tea with steamed milk. Marvellous place, have been twice and will likely visit again!

Andy Turner: Now our 4th visit, this time brought friends time, came for breakfast on a Saturday morning and still wow, they enjoyed it, loved the quality of the produce. Everything we had was excellent, yes still a little pricey but we definitely got value for money. Staff as always very friendly and efficient quick service. All our party enjoyed it we will be going back for sure.

Hoda: Overrated and overpriced, we ordered an iced mocha and iced chocolate and it did not taste good. A lack of selection of pastries on display, and the customer service was subpar.
Hiba Al-Bahrani: I genuinely think this might be one of if not the best coffee I’ve ever had. Definitely go here for a nice treat and coffee to take a break from your day!! Pistachio cherry cookie was amazing, and coffee basque cheesecake was so tasty!

Daniel Firth: Great friendly spot with amazing speciality coffee and professional baristas. 100% recommend if you are or around Sheffield. Comfortable seats inside or tables outside if the weather is dry. Love the little hatch on Arundel Street that also offers takeaway coffee so you don't have to go inside. Welcomed with a friendly face and also advice and recommendations of whatever coffee or brew method you like. From Lattes, batch brew to pour over.
David Crosbie: Superb. Right across the road from Tamper coffee but hugely better. Real passion and enthusiasm about the product and the drinks were excellent. Well chosen Speciality roasters and great execution. Highly recommended if you’re seeking a funky coffee joint!

Katie: Really cozy, low-key feel. I stayed for a study session and ordered the hot chocolate ☕ The playlist was really varied which I loved. The space is small but doesn't feel cramped. It has a nice little courtyard tucked away for outdoor seating. The tables had books about Sheffield and the hot coco was Bullion which really gave it a lovely local vibe. Little hidden gem 😊
May Alhusari: Came in today to try some coffee beans that are different from my usual. Got a Burundi and was excited to dial it in. It was impossible to get a decent espresso! Had to go down to the finest grind level and the extraction was still off.I then swapped from single walled basket to double walled basket (keeping the same settings) and voila it worked which can only mean one thing! I then checked the date of roasting - almost 4 weeks!To be sold stale beans at £12.50 per 250g bag is extremely disappointing!

Daniel Mortensen: It's a very pleasant space that is nice to be in. The multiple staff weren't able to make food and drinks in an acceptable amount of time. My americano took 10 minutes to arrive despite there being no one in line when I arrived. There were multiple minutes with no one making coffee. All this at 8:30 am, right in the middle of the morning rush. Others in the cafe during my time also complained of waiting too long for seemingly simple orders (coffee and sandwiches). My impression was that there was little urgency among the staff during this time of long waits.

Dave Lewis: Business needs a rethink on staff and food prep time, I waited 25min for 3 poached eggs and toast. Young staff charged me £24 in error when I asked for 3 eggs (3 orders); but manager stepped in with refund.. not the way forward for a new look internet cafe. Nice location, weak on staff and kitchen... Not too late to turn this around.
