King Edwards Swimming Pool: what do users think?
Dr.Akhilesh Kirane
Dr.Akhilesh Kirane: I visited for parent-toddler session with my 2 year old. Nice and clean pool, it was a weekday but there were about 15-18 children with their parents, no long waits - changing rooms are good. Poolside temperature is well controlled, water temperature is excellent. Lots of seating arrangements poolside. Loads of floats and toys in the pool, max depth 1.3 meters with gradual slopes from both sides. We could see three lifeguards on duty and they seemed quite friendly. Anti-slip mats and floorings in place everywhere. Two minor suggestions - Prams or buggies could be taken to poolside but no ramp at the entrance, will help if we can have that. Parent- toddler sessions could also be scheduled on weekends.
Kelly Knight
Kelly Knight: A very nice pool. My first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The changing rooms were nice and clean and the pool was lovely is a little on the warm side. I’m still getting used to swimming in a longer length pool and as the deepest section is only 1.4m It’s a good pool to practice in. I also like that you don’t have to book like most other pools in Sheffield.
Andrew Burgar
Andrew Burgar: Love the over 50s swimming. Staff very friendly. Good crowd. Baths ideal for my limited ability. I can just have gentle swim within my capabilities - no one cares how good or bad you are. All in all a nice session.
Lizi Attwood
Lizi Attwood: This is a great pool for kids as it is shallow at both ends (slightly deeper in the middle) and kept very warm. The facilities are very basic, no lockers but you can just carry your stuff through and leave it at the side of the pool. There is a great selection of lessons and activities here including a laid back adults lesson on Monday nights.
Sam Barthram
Sam Barthram: Boiling hot but kids love it. Needs updating
Helen Jesse
Helen Jesse: Good changing rooms, warm water, lots of toys in water for toddler session. Little one loved it. I just wish there was parking
Daniel Okuo
Daniel Okuo: friendly staff.warm pool in winter
Richard Munoz
Richard Munoz: Sons have learned to swim here. They are both much more confident in the sea and other swimming pools
Phoebe Cooper
Phoebe Cooper: Lovely swimming pool, went with my baby and he loved it, the pool was filled with beautiful floats and balls, which he loved! The changing rooms were really warm which made getting changed less stressful.
Lindsey Bielby
Lindsey Bielby: Booked our daughter’s birthday party. You get one hour but that includes getting changed, a swimming test for each child individually and changing time at the end. The pressure for one child of the ‘test’ was enough to leave her in tears and some of the children who showed they could swim were told to wear armbands “in case they get tired”. The test took 15 minutes as each child had to swim up to 4 widths individually which eats into your hour and we were told to get out of the pool with 15 mins left of the session - this meant we only had 30 mins swimming of an hour booking at a cost of £100. When we asked if we might stay in for another 5 minutes the lifeguard started crying! Also we were allowed to bring a cake in but not allowed to cut it in there. Very rude lifeguard and absolutely no flexibility. Would never recommend for a party booking. Very disappointing.
Joanne Burgar
Joanne Burgar: Great over 50's swimming for which I just qualify😁👍🏊‍♀️UPDATE.....I just managed over 1,000m today and the pool is as good as it always is👍😁🎉
Daniel Okuo
Daniel Okuo: friendly staff.warm pool in winter
Sam Barthram
Sam Barthram: Boiling hot but kids love it. Needs updating
Vic
Vic: The changing areas (i went into) was very clean. I usually have issues with swimming pools and dirt on the floor from peoples outside shoes but with this swimming pool that wasn't an issue. Very reasonable prices the student price is under a fiver which is cheaper then other swimming pools I've been to. The staff are friendly with the little interaction's I have had with them. The loyalty card they give (every seventh time is free) is great way to get people (ie me) to come back regularly although their membership would only be worth while if you plan on going more then once a week. All in all great swimming I frequent often
msarhsh 1309
msarhsh 1309: very clean swimming pool. i always saw the staff clean the changing room and spray the chairs.
jessica nettleton
jessica nettleton: No disabled access or way up stairs for prams

Ethan ren
Ethan ren: In King Edwards Swimming Pool, I didn't feel any goodwill and friendly treatment, Without any help, I have been discriminated against,Choose swimming here very regret, Children swimming for the first time we felt very unfriendly, Behind me to change to another more fundamental curriculum, My child was a little afraid of water, Teachers ignore us,They not provide any help, I was traumatized. I felt unfriendly discrimination in three courses. When I wanted to cancel my course, But they told me no return money back。

The Garrison Hotel, Guardhouse Bar and Restaurant: what do users think?
Selina Gomez
Selina Gomez: Rooms are spacious and have everything you might need except a fridge. The rooms could do with a bit of updating and could be a tad cleaner, but they have nice touches like the fast charger on the night stand. Parking is extremely limited, I was lucky to get the last space. The food was nice and food and drinks are very reasonably priced. The best thing about my stay was that the staff were very helpful in both the bar and hotel.
Roger Neale
Roger Neale: Good size rooms and decent size towels, unlike some hotels. Comfy bed and, considering the location, a very quiet night sleep. Great location with a reasonable amount if free parking. Morrison Supermarket just across the road. Only marked service down because breakfast, whilst being superbly delicious, was a bit slow at being delivered. Bonus of being slow is that it was nice and fresh. A very interesting building with an equally interesting history.
Chris Mcloughlin
Chris Mcloughlin: I like staying in hotels that are quirky and historic and this has both. The site was once a walled barracks so is very well built. The rooms were of a good size and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The only downside was the toilet seat was small, must have been designed for children. Definitely worth another visit
Aaron Holmes-Doyle
Aaron Holmes-Doyle: I was visiting Sheffield with a close friend as we was visiting a few events in Sheffield, once we got to the hotel the staff was lovely and welcoming. We got checked in and booked into our hotel room quite quickly. We looked into the history of the buildings as it was an old army base/gaurd House for the army. Lovely building and architectures throughout the hotel and surrounding buildings. The staff was very friendly and apologied to us about the breakfast being cut short due to an event they had. They offered a free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. We had a lovely stay, amazing views and breath taking place. Credits to the staff and management of the hotel. Kind regards, Aaron Rooms: Rooms looked lovely and spacious. Amazing work. Food & drinks: Drinks was great, had a wide selection to choose from.
Amanda Richardson
Amanda Richardson: Went for Sunday Lunch today with my parents and in-laws and what can I say, the food was amazing, all freshly cooked, generous portions and staff are amazing, friendly and very welcoming. Couldn’t eat a dessert as the main was so filling. Be defo going back in a regular basis. Best Sunday Dinner I’ve ever had….. apart from my own lol 5*******
Julie Magee
Julie Magee: We had just a one night stay, but it was perfect for what we wanted, room was clean, cosy and warm, slept really well, we had a twin room breakfast included, what a bargain for a Thursday night, a lovely bar very nice breakfast, would definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More

Stephanie Dunn
Stephanie Dunn: Nice location next to the main road that leads towards the city centre or up to crookes. The outside bar area is lovely in the evening sunshine. The staff are really nice and everything is clean. We changed our booking to add a child last minute, we were happy with a camp bed but the staff kept an eye out for a cancellation and gave us a family room, which was lovely of them. The beds are comfy. I sleep through anything but the husband struggled with the noise of people walking and talking in the room above us at night. People smoke outside their rooms and if you open your door to air the room while someone is smoking, the room quickly fills with the smell of smoke, which was my only issue. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of cooked options provided in addition to the buffet.

Cathy Barabas
Cathy Barabas: I stayed here in April 2022 while on a solo holiday. The owners did a great job keeping the historical feel of the building. Staff were kind, courteous, and welcoming. Although some small updates could be made to it, the room was well kept and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were beautifully kept, making the courtyard a lovely oasis even though the A61 is just over 70 metres away, as the crow flies.I would definitely stay here again.
Thomas “LordTikTokUKOfficial” Lorimer
Thomas “LordTikTokUKOfficial” Lorimer: During my recent stay at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield, I had the opportunity to experience the hotel's amenities, including their food offerings and accommodations. While the hotel boasted some standout features, such as the remarkable food, there were areas that left something to be desired, particularly in terms of the dated room decor. Here is my honest review as a paying guest at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield.Food and Dining:One of the standout aspects of The Garrison Hotel was undoubtedly the food. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes that exceeded my expectations. From breakfast to dinner, the menu showcased a variety of flavors, using locally sourced ingredients and presenting them with creativity and finesse. The quality and taste of the food were exceptional, and the attentive service from the staff further enhanced the dining experience. Whether it was the hearty breakfast options or the delectable evening meals, the food at The Garrison Hotel was a true highlight.Accommodations and Room Decor:While the food was a standout, I found the accommodations at The Garrison Hotel to be somewhat disappointing. The room I stayed in had a dated decor and furnishings that could benefit from a refresh. The overall ambiance lacked a modern touch, and the furniture showed signs of wear and tear. Although the room was clean and adequately equipped with essential amenities, the outdated aesthetic detracted from the overall experience. It would be wonderful to see The Garrison Hotel invest in refurbishing the rooms to match the quality of their food and dining experience.Staff and Service:The staff at The Garrison Hotel Sheffield were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. From the reception desk to the restaurant, the employees demonstrated professionalism and a willingness to assist with any requests or inquiries. They were knowledgeable about the local area, providing helpful recommendations for exploring Sheffield. The staff's attentiveness and warm demeanor contributed positively to the overall guest experience, and their efforts should be commended.Location:The Garrison Hotel's location in Sheffield was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. Situated in a historic building, the hotel exuded a unique charm, and the surrounding area provided a glimpse into Sheffield's rich heritage. Whether exploring the city's cultural landmarks or enjoying the nearby parks and gardens, guests would find plenty to see and do in the vicinity of The Garrison Hotel. Conclusion:In conclusion, The Garrison Hotel Sheffield offers a mixed experience for paying guests. While the food and dining experience were exceptional, with delectable dishes and attentive service, the dated room decor left much to be desired. The staff's professionalism and the hotel's convenient location were additional positives. I would recommend The Garrison Hotel to food enthusiasts who appreciate a remarkable dining experience, but for those seeking modern and updated accommodations, it may be worth considering other options in Sheffield.

Michael Friedrich
Michael Friedrich: Room okayish although it could do with a makeover. (Who needs a bathtub anyway?) The bathroom taps are traditionally English outdated. The bed was small and uncomfy.Biggest disgrace was the breakfast. Got into the breakfast room at 9:05 and asked for some croissants to be restocked in the poor buffet. Answer was: 'No, we are closing.' Excuse me, there were still a good 50 minutes to go and croissants could not be restocked? Luckily, there were some slices of toast left and we got them before the next guests arrived (and had to wait long before it was restocked). Could have had 4 breakfasts there, but decided not to use this feature anymore after our first attempt.Parking is a nuisance as well. Only few parking spaces, so guests have to resort semi-legal parking.Cheers to the cleaners. They did a great job every day.Nearby activities: You can walk to the Hillsborough Stadium (about 15 mins).

Church - Temple of Fun: what do users think?
Gaia
Gaia: Stopped off on our way to Newcastle and will be stopping off again on our way back. Wicked cocktails, nice building and amazing food made me want to go vegan for a minute. Our server was really nice as well she even sorted us out with a free ice cream.
Andrew Flanagan
Andrew Flanagan: This reinvented space is a cool bar with the obvious religious theme. Its a good sized bar close to the Kelham Island area and now a popular place for a younger crowd. This is a nice bar alongside the river, a little pricey though. It has a good selection of drinks amd plenty of seating.
Mark R
Mark R: 100% Vegan. The decor, space and style of the church is like nothing else. It’s got a pulpit, decorated with flowers and amazing artwork. Retro games machines, pool table and gaming booths do not detract from the ambiance at all. They also put events on like a movie and it’s pretty cool. There’s a brilliant selection of beers and cocktails with a quick table service or just order at the bar. Onto the menu - Ohh my … Been there 4 times and never get through the menu - God I’ve tried (get it? Church!) - because they change it. Never been disappointed. Nice combo is the black bun burger and mango or banana beer.
Response: Hey Mark, thank you so much for your kind review and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. Since August 2020 we have been operating our own kitchen and continuing to develop our own Church signature menu, so we hope to see you again soon.
Charlotte Holden
Charlotte Holden: Excellent and friendly staff, the art and decor is just absolutely stunning, I genuinely cannot put into words how beautiful this place is. Crosses hung from the wall covered in an array of coloured flowers. Stained glass windows and detailed ceiling paintings. Little built in video game huts. Just a true dream. I came when this place first opened, and to come back years later and see how gorgeous it is now is an amazing thing. Last thing, the food. SO delicious. Oh my god. Reasonably priced, too! Overall, I don't think I can credit this place enough. I would come here all the time if I didn't live a 2 hour drive away!
Lewis Saville
Lewis Saville: Incredible scenery and vibe, even in the middle of the day - great decor, unique location, shame about the London prices
Mark McManus
Mark McManus: Great service by Katie G, food and drinks were great and loved the atmosphere. Would definitely come again!
Stuart Fisk
Stuart Fisk: I LOVE this place!! I go every time I visit Sheffield. Good beer selection (less IPA/hoppy stuff pls, bit more fruity/dark. Food is really tasty and fair value. Staff and clientele are happy and polite. V good atmosphere and it's also v easy to park nearby.

Burag Gurden: Cosy place, great burgers, grest vegan options!!
Belle Darling
Belle Darling: Fantastic atmosphereDelicious foodDecor has to be seen to be experienced
Emma Ollerenshaw
Emma Ollerenshaw: This gothic vegan restaurant is a unique and interesting dining experience. The dark and moody decor sets the perfect atmosphere for the delicious and creative vegan dishes on offer. The menu has a great range of options, from comfort food classics to more experimental dishes. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about veganism, and the drinks menu is just as impressive as the food. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for vegans and non-vegans alike looking for something different and memorable.
Alex Blow
Alex Blow: Decent food, good choice of beers, friendly service. Will be visiting again :)
David Turner
David Turner: Enjoyed a fantastic vegan meal. Plenty of atmosphere and vibe in this uniquely church themed restaurant and bar.
Emilia Cz
Emilia Cz: Great place, an artistic masterpiece in terms on design. Food and drinks also very good :)
Archie Beresford

Lane7 Sheffield: what do users think?
Steven Bentall
Steven Bentall: Pool, bowling, old school arcades and beer. (Almost) everything you could want from an afternoon out. Only thing missing was some bar snacks, rather than being steered towards to hot food menu as the only option. Wednesday afternoon during half term but it wasn’t overly busy.
Response: Hi, thanks for your feedback. We appreciate your suggestion and will raise this with our team. We hope to see you again soon. Thanks L7
Stefan Lumb
Stefan Lumb: Really enjoyed our visit. The venue is amazing, all industrial looking and trendy. Drinks were spot on, neck oil was on tap which is one of my favourites. Staff were hit and miss. When we got there, there was just one team member behind the bar, she was preparing a few cocktails which of course takes some time. Sadly she didn’t acknowledge us at all and just kept making cocktails, no “will be with you in two ticks” or “someone will be with you shortly”. Luckily another team member arrived and started serving. I really liked this guy as when he was preparing our second round of drinks (my partner and I were bowling) I could see him pick up our order on the tray, as he walked away from the bar he realised my pint had started to lose its head and was about 2 inch under brim so walked back to the bar and topped up. Little things like this show the team member is thinking about the guest. He brought the drinks and was friendly and polite. I mentioned what I had seen and thanked him. Will definitely revisit. Both my partner and I had a very enjoyable experience. I also love fat hippo sadly wasn’t hungry this visit.
Response: Hey, thank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review! We're glad to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your visit, we hope to see you again soon!
Sam
Sam: Great little bowling and entertainment place. Lots of cool things here to do - arcades, basket ball, beer pong etc. Bowling is pretty expensive (IMO) though so be prepared - you can wear your own trainers which is good. Great burgers here too. Table/lane service is available. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Response: Hi, thanks for your great review. We hope to see you again soon. Thanks L7
Christian O'Connell
Christian O'Connell: Went here on Saturday for our belated Christmas party and we couldn’t praise this place enough. The staff were great, fantastic facilities and great choice of beers. Didn’t try the burgers but heard great things about them. The manager who looked after our party was amazing. Approachable, friendly and professional. Made our staff party one to remember. Thanks guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SUE Johnson
SUE Johnson: Very busy over the Christmas period and it prevented a second game being played. If you wanted a second game there was a 4 hour wait making it untenable. The staff worked hard to keep up the smooth running of booking and the drinks service. I hope my next visit will give me a better feeling as I left.
Grace Dawson
Grace Dawson: A fantastic Christmas staff night out. Thank you so much to the team here. We all had a great night. You guys really went above and beyond for us. Especially Leah her hospitality was fantastic. Thank you so much! Will definitely recommend
Response: Hi Grace, Thanks for 5 stars. We're so glad to hear that we were able to make your experience with us a memorable one and enjoyed your Christmas night out with your team. We'll pass on the positive words to Leah, we're sure that she'll be pleased to know that she had some impact on your night as a whole. See you soon! Thanks, Team L7
Danielle Chambers
Danielle Chambers: We had an evening booked with work, we had the best time the staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. I would recommend a night here to anybody
Anil Sharma
Anil Sharma: Visited today (Wednesday) 24th may .... Everything was good but drinks are literally the worst. We spent around 20 bucks for drinks but we just got ice. I have already added a picture you can see that.
Nick Sharp
Nick Sharp: Great!
Joseph Walters
Joseph Walters: Great Saturday night spent at lane 7, the food was great and some lovely service by Jess who was working on the bar
Ogbara Aria
Ogbara Aria: Delicious meal!
Clairie 77
Clairie 77: Had a kids birthday party here.. when I say party we booked a lane and they had food and drinks (too old for parties now!) they loved it!! Would recommend… we would like to come back soon
Joanne Wong
Joanne Wong: Had a very fun night out! Staff were all helpful and nice, let us know how everything worked and where everything were. The deco was awesome and the vibe’s great! Would be a good place to hang out with a bunch of friends!

Connor Downs
Connor Downs: Came here with friends and it's pretty nice. We played bowling and ping-pong. They have cocktails and some good beers on draft. I would go back it's convenient being in the town centre
Alicia Kirkland
Alicia Kirkland: Went here on Saturday and had the best time we played bowling and also pool the staff were all friendly theres so much to do here i could have stayed all day
Abdi Hussein
Abdi Hussein: Amazing time with my two nephews. Bowling and arcade games were spot on. Will return definitely.
David Chitty
David Chitty: It's ok. Nice busy atmosphere.Edit: so nice when the owners say thanks for giving them a review! I will certainly come back and I wonder what a 5 star night would be like?!
Connor Mulligan
Connor Mulligan: The lanes are a little cramped with no better way other than walking in front of other people's bowling parties to get to your lane, making this relatively funny but chaotic. There's a small selection of arcade games which are relatively unused even during busy periods, the shuffled boards while enjoyable are quite small and don't quite hold your attention for long periods of time. The rules and explanations given weren't the best from the staff. But they were friendly and willing. The hard slush is delicious and the food was good also. The pool table was a little lackluster with clumsy pool cues which are very large, clearly intended for hard wear rather than any finesse. Same with the table, thick hard wearing cloth with marks and stains all over it designed for minimal maintenance. The ball noticible sleeps at slower speeds and on occasion will roll randomly from presumably damaged cloth or dings to the slate.Despite all this, overall we had a good time and used the venue for it's intended purposes, a social event. I certainly think going as a larger group to be more cost effective and enjoyable. The staff were lovely and willing to help at all times. It's just a shame the venue didn't live up to expectations. The staff gets a 5* and the venue gets a 4*
HVFX PRODUCTIONS
HVFX PRODUCTIONS: Perfect place for bowling and hangout. Good collection of drinks.
Arron Hartley
Arron Hartley: Good atmosphere nice place to go

RICHARD DOWNS
RICHARD DOWNS: Had a great time with friends and family there's lots of great games to play and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Daniel Grice
Daniel Grice: Lane7 staff are unreal
Geoffrey Caron-Lormier
Geoffrey Caron-Lormier: Solid family experience. We have tried bowling and darts, plus a few arcade games, as a family of three, and had fun every time. The bowling lanes will ket you have bumpers up/down based on each player's needs. The darts have loads of games and the points are scored automatically through a smart system, neat.Staff are friendly, they'll set things up for you, come and take your drinks order, and deliver. Spot on :)
GREG HELLAS
GREG HELLAS: Very bad serviceThe staff sleeping!

Will
Will: A lovely dinner here, quick service and a great choice of food. The Lucky Buddah lager is lovely and goes down a treat with the spicy dishes! Not a cheap dinner considering it is a chain but it’s always busy and reliable. The drinks are where the cost racks up so save your pocket and go for a drink after. The spicy hot dishes are certainly that!

The outdoor hot tubs were good although could have been a little bit cleaner. The relaxation room wasn't so relaxing with the amount of traffic going through to use the outdoor area.
