Breathe Classical Pilates: what do users think?

Helen Blundell: Breathe provides outstanding Pilates classes from a range of experienced teachers. They are always friendly and supportive, tailoring the sessions to suit you. I recommend this place to everyone, they have been there for me through the years; helping with my hyper mobility, my challenges with anxiety along with back and neck problems! An amazing team- thank you x

Jonny Woodall: I have worked at Breathe for over a month now. Renting a room to consult with clients who see me for help using herbal medicine for health problems. The building is always clean, has a really nice calm atmosphere and all of the therapists, bodyworkers and instructors who use it are really friendly and very passionate about what they do. The pilates rooms look amazing!

Jo Boardman: Breathe is an excellent studio with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, first class equipment and instructors who are both highly trained and incredibly encouraging. I’ve seen positive results from both the 1:1s and classes and would highly recommend either in a heartbeat.

Chris Stewart: Fantastic I have been going for some time now its help my back ache no end!
Brian Fearn: Very enjoyable, dip your toe in the water with these people, regardless of levels of confidence or ability it's highly likely that you'll find yourself booking another lesson even after your first class. Just like I will be doing. I highly recommend this establishment 👍👍
Cari Morton: I've been attending sessions at Breathe for 5 years. Having experienced back pain for 15+ years, I wanted to strengthen my muscles to better support my joints and ease pain. My hypermobility means its easy to over-extend and injure myself, which I'd done often (including a serious injury in a gym Pilates class). I wanted specialist help from well-trained teachers, which is exactly what I get from Breathe, both from classes and 1-1s. The teachers are fantastic - knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging. I didn't initially transition to online sessions in March - I wanted to wait until we could return to the studio - but after a few months I really regretted it. I felt weaker and less coordinated. The online sessions have been fantastic - I've benefited from the same level of insightful teaching that challenges and strengthens my body but from home.

Malcolm Ramsay: I've been doing Pilates classes at Breathe for a couple of years. Really friendly and non-intimidating teachers, I fitted straight in as a complete newbie with a natural loathing of any sort of exercise class. I feel immensely better for my regular Pilates fix - I'm more strong and flexible now in my 50's than I was in my 30's.
Sue Campbell: My experience of attending reformer classes at Breathe has been brilliant. I suffer from arthritis and so had to agree to a hip replacement about four years ago as I was in a lot of pain and the hip kept giving way due to the deterioration of the joint. Building up the muscles around the hip joint prior to the agreed date I feel contributed tremendously to the success of the operation and my quick recovery. As soon as I was well again my consultant advised I needed to have the other hip replaced as soon as possible but I made the decision to postpone that second operation as long as I could by exercising. To do this I committed to going to Pilates classes as much as possible. and in my experience attending Breathe reformer classes regularly has ensured this process and postponed the inevitable.Recently I have agreed to have the other hip replaced but I am happy that this date is three years later than the operation would have been if I'd just gone with the timescale that my consultant originally suggested. Also the exercise regime has extended my ability to keep fit, mobile and trouble free for those three years and has increased my confidence in going forward for the next few years.

adam davies: I have been attending Breathe Pilates for just over three years now and I would highly recommend to anyone. The whole team are extremely friendly and make you feel comfortable whether you're a beginner or advanced! On a personal level as well as helping me with my physical strength they are always there to lend a ear if you ever want to get something off your chest!

Jeni Ferguson Pilates: what do users think?

Sophie: Visited for a reformer class with Jeni and loved every second. Felt right at home and relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. Fab team and a beautiful studio!

Claire Crawshaw: I would highly recommend attending Pilates at Jeni Ferguson’s Studio. I’ve been attending for over 3 years now and i see my attendance as crucial part to play in my well being and health. Not only are all the staff welcoming and friendly, they have a genuine care for their clients. I now feel like I am part of a fantastic community of Pilates Participants! Over the years I have attended classes with different teachers at Jeni’s who are all of a high calibre, love their jobs and have a thirst to educate and train themselves continually to deliver the best classes. Not only am I an advocate of the benefits that Pilates can bring to a persons life, I would thoroughly suggest you go to Jeni’s for a free taster session and see if it’s for you.

Reg Harrison: Have been attending Jeni Ferguson Pilates for a few years now and would not be without it. From the very first trial session I was made to feel very welcome and had confidence that the instructors knew their stuff. As a bloke, I did wonder if I would feel comfortable in these session and the answer is yes I do. Everyone is very friendly and the instructors always carefully monitor how we are doing and ensure we are doing the right thing in the right way. Even through these troubled times Jenni has arranged excellent video sessions to help is keep going. Would I recommend blokes and ladies to try a session with Jeni, of course I would.

Jude Eller: I am having 1:1 sessions with Jeni to help resolve some long-standing issues. Jeni is brilliant! She is professional, knowledgeable, patient and the studio is lovely; bright, clean, modern... I happily recommend her.

Mrs Bou: Excellent timetable of live online classes from this fabulous studio. Jeni Ferguson and her team are the best instructors, online classes are easy to access and perfect for all levels. I am thoroughly enjoying pilates at home with these amazing knowledgeable people. My posture from working on a computer all day is so much improved, aches and pains are stretched away. My body feels longer, stronger and pain free. Thank you x

Andrew Duffield: I’ve been to Jeni’s Pilates classes for 5 years, always felt welcomed and enjoyed individual attention with a knowledge and memory of any niggles or weaknesses. It is this individual care and attention that sets Jeni Ferguson Pilates apart from other classes. The studio is only running online during the Covid crisis, but this memory of everyone’s ability and any problems means there is still individual attention given.

KatieB Yoga: I would highly recommend Jeni Ferguson Pilates. Their zoom classes during lock down have been fantastic. A broad range of classes for all levels and taught by friendly, knowledgeable teachers.
craig kipling: Wonderful experience, 4 lessons 1-1 and now back on track with my SI joint pain ,really really helped , very professional .Thank you 😊
Hilary Cunliffe-Charlesworth: As someone who is an extreme shielder Zoom classes have helped to keep me fit in mind and body. This was a return to Pilates - and I can say I look slimmer and my posture is improved. The classes are just right at 45 mins and the instructors make different in each class - so you don't get bored. They tell me what to correct just as I've gone 'wibble wobble' and keep me smiling. Having a range of highly skilled instructors means you have different voices and different explanations - brilliant - and thankful to know classes are continuing on line.
Shirl Harrison: About two years ago I took part in a free trial Pilates class and I loved it and wished I'd taken Pilates up sooner. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, it's like being part of a family. The instructors are all well trained and encouraging, and always helpful showing you different positions if you can't do something! I have always enjoy the classes and it's been fantastic that there have been classes on line for us during this weird time we are living in at the moment. It is great seeing and hearing Jeni,Gina and Sarah Lou and trying to do the positions in the living room....it's been hilarious at times. Thank you to everyone at the studio and hope to see you the other side of lockdown.

Jenni Lydiat: The online classes are amazing , challenging and fun. They help me to structure my day. Love the fact that there are many different types of class. Great instructors.
A. Monica D. Ortiz: great classes and helpful staff and instructors

David Cronin: I've just been to one class (complimentary) but it was terrific. I've attended Pilates classes of different types in lots of studios but can honestly say that this was one of the best! Comfortable environment, good rapport with the instructor, enough one-to-one help, great location.
Rachel Pointon: Have been going to see Jeni for years and every class and teacher is fun and challenging. Really worth trying one of the free taster sessions to see if it’s for you
Thea Vectim: Not felt welcomed when I first entered into the studio. First timer and wanted Pilates to be a good experience, sadly the instructor showed more care with others who may come across as more experienced than me. Will not coming back again.
Liz Brearley: Really enjoy my classes here. The staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I can definitely feel the benefits of attending.

Tree Reformer Pilates: what do users think?

Sophie Bubak: I kept seeing my friends and people I know sharing on their IG stories attending a class. The first class is £5 and after attending the class, there was no going back! I signed up for 8 classes a month. Priscilla is such a beautiful human being, kind, caring and a great teacher. Reformer Pilates is great for body, mind and soul. It was my first form of exercise after having a baby. This class made me feel better in my mental well being and physically, I felt the most confident since giving birth. I saw changed and most importantly I FELT change. The class was so rewarding, challenging and enjoyable. Can’t wait to start a new term!
Beth Frazer: Such a great reformer Pilates class! Priscilla is so friendly and helpful! Could not recommend more!
Natasha Watkinson: Love my classes at Tree Reformer Pilates. I've done reformer pilates before and the classes here take it to another level. Priscila creates new routines using different equipment each week so you never get bored- the 45 minutes just flies by! My core strength has improved massively in only 8 weeks.
Olivia Rawson McCarthy: Where do I start! I absolutely love my classes at Tree Reformer. Priscilla 9: a fantastic teacher, supportive and so fun to be around. I find the classes so uplifting and positive & always come out feeling challenged but completely de-stressed. Highly recommend to all levels of ability - Priscilla will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable.
Louise Parkin: I can't recommend this class enough! I'm currently doing 3 sessions a week and noticing how my strength, co-ordination and body improve all the time. It's also great for mindfulness and de-stressing after a long day. Pri is an amazing coach, she is so patient and motivating, she really pushes me to improve and makes me believe in myself. I get the same benefits from a 45 min class here than I used to doing a cardio session, and this feels so much better for my body.
Alicia Adriana Gonzalez-Rodriguez: 100% recommend this studio, the best pilates reformer in South Yorkshire! Priscila is amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly she's helped us lots to get confident with the equipment. My husband has never done pilates before, he gave it a go and now he loves it !

InReach Pilates: what do users think?

Sophie Whittle: I absolutely love my weekly classes with Louise at InReach Pilates. I’m a PhD student and end up with a lot of tension in my shoulders so being able to release that every week has been a treat. I also suffer from ankle instability and we do lots of lower body strengthening work which helps massively! Louise is a kind, friendly and enthusiastic teacher and always caters to different skill levels during the classes. Attending her classes will definitely brighten your day! ☀️

Stuart Frost: I really enjoy Louise’s Pilates classes. I do online and in person (Sheffield Studio) classes and they help me both physically and with my all round well-being. I’ve noticed my posture is better and my back and shoulders are less stiff. She’s always friendly and positive no matter what. Really can’t recommend highly enough!

Sarah Mezey: Louise’s classes have made such a difference to my week! Being able to attend at the beautiful studio as well as access classes online (live and on demand!) has been brilliant. I feel physically stronger but there’s also just an overall sense of well-being too … and it’s fun! ☺️

Jessica Seaman: Louise is a brilliant Pilates teacher, she will make you feel totally at home, encoraged and supported. Most importantly she makes you want to give your absolute best. Thanks Louise

Rhiannon Williams: InReach Pilates is such a warm, friendly and welcoming pilates community - perfect for anyone who wants to add a bit of pilates to their weekly routine, including beginners.

Helen Green: I started online Pilates classes with Louise in May this year and have been hooked ever since. Louise demonstrates the moves in a very clear and encouraging way. She gives (for me) just the right number of cues and reminders about what to do and her cheery personality makes the whole experience a real joy. I am thoroughly enjoying the classes and would absolutely recommend them. She offers a free 7 day trial which is a great opportunity to see whether the classes work for you.
Monica Broadbent: Louise is an amazing instructor. As a beginner, I found the class to be extremely supportive and encouraging
Ian J France: As I start my fifth year of Pilates I still feel fortunate to have found InReach just by chance. Louise is such an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. Her classes are so welcoming and are varied both in terms of content and focus.A recent encounter with a very muddy bank made me realise just how much my core has improved, entirely due to Pilates. Luckily, this strength prevented an undignified and painful slip into the brambles. As a older f*rt, I'm conscious of the need to keep everything ticking over. Louise's classes do far more than that. Thank you for being a super teacher and friend.
Hong Nguyen: These classes have helped me build my confidence to exercise regularly again after waiting for surgery and a post-covid slump! Louise is a great teacher, very patient and offered a dynamic and accessible routine every week. 100% recommend for a mindful exercise to reconnect with your body if you're experiencing aches or fatigue.
Ann Wells: Louise makes the classes fun and every week is different so I don't get bored. I always look forward to the online classes as I don't live in Sheffield and I can pick up any missed classes on line.
Niki Elliot: Louise is a great teacher. She creates a fun, friendly and accepting atmosphere. Her instructions and prompts are carefully paced to help you to work at your own level and get control of your physical well-being. Forget frantic gyms and join a class that is about you.
Susie Sharp: I love Louise’s online Pilates classes; if I lived in Sheffield I would most definitely want to attend her live classes. I’ve been doing Pilates for a few years now and Louise is brilliant with her progressions and visualisations. I love the fact the class is live; it will most definitely appeal to all abilities. Louise is always enthusiastic which is contagious and never fails to make me smile, chuckle and on occasion LOL. Her sessions rejuvenate me especially after a day in the office.
Catherine: Louise’s online classes are fantastic, always engaging and something I look forward to each week.
Georgia Q: The in-person classes were great, and the online ones have been a saving grace during lockdown. Louise is a gem.
Jillian Creasy: InReach Pilates has kept me going during lockdowns - I like that it is live
C Johnston: Louise is a brilliant teacher, she pays attention to every person in the class and creates such a friendly atmosphere. Her classes are really accessible and she will always adapt movements for different abilities, injuries etc. Zoom classes in lockdown have been brill 👍
Voula Charagkioni: I have been doing pilates with Louise 3 years now! I have been enjoying every class and all the different pieces of equipment! Not only it helps me to have a stronger body, but also it takes all the stress away. Louise gives guidance and differentiates her class for all the needs and you can go up to where you feel like it each time. During lockdown it's been really helpful having my pilates routine and instead of the equipment Louise gave us alternatives using household items. I definitely recommend it!
Eleanor Clarke: I have been doing Pilates for many years and really missed my class when lockdown came. A blessing in disguise as I joined Louise's classes on zoom . She is an excellent teacher who layers up each exercise, makes it fun and always mixes up the class so you are constantly stimulated and stretched! Now I can do at least 3 classes a week from the comfort of my home. My balance, strength and suppleness have all improved and I look forward to each session. Thank you Louise. Highly recommended her classes.
sunbul othman: Enjoyable and effective. I have been with Louise for over a year, Pilates has taught me to be patient with my movements and Louise’s way of performing makes me able to enjoy every single move. She describes the exercises carefully and in an interesting way. Very different from Pilates I have tried before. I certainly feel that my balance, posture and flexibility has improved. I definitely recommend inreach Pilates.
Vicki Peacock: COVID UPDATE: Online lessons are a triumph! It feels like Louise is in the room with me - very natural, very clear to understand and great to keep up pilates throughout lockdown. It's useful to have specific class times so I schedule them into my day to ensure I get some stretching and just some 'me' time. Thank you for getting this up and running so smoothly!I thought I'd try pilates to make me stretch more, regain a bit of flexibility as I get older. I didn't really know what to expect. I have loved Louise's classes. They are relaxed and fun so no matter your ability you feel included and successful. The classes are small so there is plenty of individual support and correction when necessary and Louise rotates equipment every week making sure lessons are varied. I have also found the sessions a great opportunity to mentally unwind and leave feeling better in many ways. Would highly recommend.
Claire Crawshaw: I would highly recommend attending a Pilates class at this studio.Louise is a genuinely lovely and caring person who is well practiced in delivering fun and friendly Pilates classes. After regularly attending Louise’s classes, the benefits of Pilates became apparent and it is now an integral part of my well being and health.I would definitely suggest that anyone considering Pilates should come to the studio for a free taster session. The classes are designed to be all encompassing for all abilities, so you can take it as easy as you like or progress as quickly as your body allows.I believe everyone should make time in their busy lives to spend at least an hour a week, giving their body’s the love and attention it deserves.Happy Pilates Practice Everyone!

Flex Pilates and Physiotherapy: what do users think?

Linda Webster: I’ve seen Jo many times due to a variety of issues. She is knowledgeable and asks questions so that she can find the right solutions, and works with her clients to achieve the best outcome. She gives exercise plans to continue the treatments at home. For me, she has contacted my doctor directly, with a very informative letter so that I have been able to get X-rays and further investigations and I feel that without her help I would have been in pain for much longer period of time. My issues made it impossible for me to ride due to the pain had, and I’m pleased to say that after a few sessions, I was back in the saddle. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jo

Irene Moore: I cannot recommend Jo Ness too highly. She is a skilled professional with an in depth knowledge. Jo listens carefully and is focused on making a difference, enabling you to achieve your goals through “hands on physio” and individualised exercises. I had a number of long term issues – shoulder injury, sciatica and found getting on my horse, never mind riding painful. I thought at 70 my active life was in decline. My shoulder now works, sciatica has virtually gone and today I rode for an hour and could get off! Thank you so much Jo, I feel like a new person.

Nicola Simpson: I have been attending the pilates studio for over three years and I cannot recommend highly enough, I am stronger and more flexible and my running has been enhanced. In addition I have attended physiotherapy sessions when the need has arisen and again the service has been great, the issue was diagnosed swiftly and the treatment effective. I woudl also add that the flex studio is a very friendly and welcoming place where you are made to feel safe and at ease.

sally evans: There is no comparison between the professionalism care and expertise provided by Jo and that received by other physios I have seen. I came to see Jo after a catastrophic ski accident which resulted in tib and fib being plated and pinned. I could barely walk and was told by nhs to just do basic exercises prescribed by them. However once Jo worked her magic she assessed the issues where to be addressed through hip pelvis and knees as well as the foot I am now moving much more naturally. I still see her for top up adjustments when my leg starts to misbehave. But I hate to think where I would have been without Jos support. We have laughed and I have made lots of screaming ouch noises but worth every penny every bead of sweat. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo to anyone.

Pamela Wilson: I have been attending the studio and latterly online pilates with Jo for over 4 years and have found (at 73 years of age) the exercises keep me supple and mobile. Jo is excellent at making the hourly session fun and challenging and would encourage anyone to have a go as exercises can be adapted to suit personal needs.

Jon Baker: Jo’s knowledge, skill and delivery are top notch. I had a lower back issue and we worked through it to the point where I no longer needed treatment. Her explanation is clear and concise and I had no confusion to what I was supposed to be doing in between sessions. I would 100% recommend her to everyone 👍🏻
Susan Helliwell: I went to see Jo with a persisting shoulder injury. I have been so impressed. It began with her questioning and how she really listened to what I had to say. Her hands on approach really works and she gives a clear explanation of the issue. I was given exercises to do between sessions which I've never had before from other physios. Now I have full use of my shoulder, which I've not had for months and did n't believe was possible, for someone getting older. I strongly recommend Jo - she is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional.

Jo Hinchliffe: My experience of Flexi Physiotherapy with Jo has been great. You will get a thorough examination to get to the heart of your issues. Followed by tailored treatment to treat your symptoms. It's so nice to be pain free.

Jonathan Robinson: Jo and her team are professional, knowledgeable, approachable, friendly and excellent instructors. I happily recommend Flex Pilates and Physiotherapy.
Anna White: I'm pretty sure Jo is a magician - she is the reason I have been able to recover from a nasty case of wry neck, fitting me in when needed&being incomparable in her knowledge/skill. I've also been able to recover from another injury during the pandemic with the support of Jo through online Pilates. If you are looking for an excellent physiotherapist or a way to stay fit, strengthen your core and improve your life then Flex is the place for you.
Gill Hughes: I've been going to Pilates sessions run by Jo and her team for more years than I can remember. All the instructors are professional, experienced physiotherapists in their own right so I always feel totally confident that the exercises are safe and beneficial. The whole team are friendly and approachable and willing to adapt to individual needs if necessary. They have been amazing and proactive right through 2020/21 in adapting to really well run online classes and now continue with a great blend of face-to-face and online which makes it so convenient to a wide range of clients. Weekly Pilates has benefited me in immeasurable ways and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my classes. Thank you Team Flex

Katie Ellis: Love my classes, Rachel is great! Can’t recommend enough!
Kaz Ernie: I started Jo's Pilates classes on the advice of the hospital physio just after my first hip replacement....Jo's patience and expertise has helped me regain full mobility and I'm amazed by how strong my body has become.I had a six week break after my second hip replacement and Jo has worked hard to get me back to full fitness. There aren't enough words to say just how grateful I am .Thank you Jo.😊
jaine stanway: Great studio, everyone is committed to giving us the highest quality teaching. I'm loving the cardio pilates classes as well, giving us a hard workout as well as the core pilates skills!
Jim Lobley: Best physio ever... and I've seen a few over the years!

Heavenly Pilates & Reiki: what do users think?
AC Price: With it being Mental Heath awareness week I thought it the best time to leave this review. Julie is amazing, Reiki seemed like a very strange thing for me to consider initially and I was quite sceptical…Julie changed my life. She doesn’t just stop with the treatment itself, you get meditations sent to you, positive affirmations and always know that Julie cares. She will give a hug, a tissue, an understanding smile. She stops at nothing to make you feel better. I know that Julie has really changed my life and continues to do so. We all need a Julie!!! 😍
Mary Wragg: I have been going to Heavenly Pilates for awhile now, Julie has been a big help to me to get my body moving the way it should and back up to strength.Julie is great at modifying an exercise or making it more challenging to accommodate everyone’s needs. Julie is lovely, patient, she explains the benefits to each exercise and is very encouraging.
Lyndsey Smith: I started to suffer with terrible anxiety and dark days around August 2020 which is when I decided to give Reiki a go. I had an open mind but had done some research and decided before I went down the medication route I would give it a go. It's one of the best things I did. Julie is wonderfully caring and very knowledegable. She gave me the tools I needed to move forward with my daily life. The emotion cards seemed to mirror my feelings on the day. If I feel i'm having wobbles I stop and think, take a couple of minutes and do some breathing. This works wonders for me. Something I wouldn't have done/known if I hadn't done Reiki. I would recommend to anyone even if you don't think its for you just give it a go. I'm so glad I did, I never ended up going on medication which I really thought was only and quickest way out. Its not always easy to focus your mind when you feel out of sorts but with practice, patience and Julie's tools you will get to where you need to be ..Thanks Julie :-)
Margaret Crossland: I would highly recommend Reiki with Julie if you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed with life. Everything about Julie, her skill and professionalism and her beautiful studio helps to calm and relax you.Reiki is an amazing alternative healing practice and well worth trying.
Anne Simpson: Brilliant x
sarah ashmore: I have been attending Heavenly Pilates lessons for a few months and I have to say they are amazing, I have also just have Reiki to relieve sciatic pain and it was amazing the results were fabulous

Pilates in Sheffield with Ann Chester: what do users think?
Ali Seasman: Pippa is a great teacher, small group, lovely studio
Kirsty Kirkham: Ann is an incredibly talented pilates teacher. Her experience is evident from clear cues and seamless transition from one pilates move to the next. I have been coming to Ann's classes for around 8 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Caroline Thorpe: Ann runs superb, friendly, inclusive Pilates classes. Pilates looks and seems easy if done incorrectly but Ann and her team watch us all to make sure every exercise is spot on and maximises the muscles being used. I have felt so much stronger and more supple from attending her classes and now rarely suffer from back pain and migraines which I did prior to starting Pilates with Ann. I would definitely recommend Ann Chester Pilates.
Claire Elcock: Ann and her team of experienced teachers are great. I have been attending classes for 15 years+. Would highly recommend. They are constantly updating their practice, always take in to account individual needs, limit class size to keep an important guiding eye on each client and, having adapted so well in the 2020 pandemic, I don't think there is a hurdle they can't master. The classes are also fun and sociable which is important. Give them a try!
Judy Laybourn: I've been taught pilates by Ann for many years now and keep coming back week after week, so she must be good! She and her team are meticulous in monitoring their students and carefully adapt all classes and exercises each week. Somehow Ann manages to make you believe you're having fun while working you far harder than you realise. Her studio is a lovely space which I've missed during lockdown but lessons via Zoom have been cleverly adapted and work really well for me. I wouldn't dream of going to any other studio to be honest.
Gill Sanderson: I started attending Ann’s classes as a beginner many years ago and enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the studio. Ann and her colleagues are professional and knowledgeable and because of the small class sizes can offer individual feedback/encouragement. I’m so grateful that classes have continued on Zoom during lockdown, and look forward to when we can all return to the studio.
Joy S: I'm sure I've grown 3 inches since I started a beginners pilates class with Ann in 2007! I'm definitely more flexible and I know my posture has improved. All this and I have fun too! I'm now doing a more advanced class and enjoy the challenge. Ann is always aware of our various aches, pains and ailments and suggests alternative exercises for us if necessary. The classes are small so we all get plenty of individual attention. Over the years I've taken classes with the other instructors at Ann's studio and they are all great too. In these strange times Ann is continuing to run very professional classes on zoom. I'm missing her lovely studio but it's great to have a class to look forward to. I'd thoroughly recommend her to beginners and anyone at a more advanced level.
Jane Hunter: I've been going to Ann Chester's classes for several years and steadily progressed through all the levels; all the teachers are well aware of your own particular issues and suggest alternative moves or positions to suit you. The classes are fun and enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.
Michael Durbin: I have been attending Ann's classes for quite a few years now and find the classes really enjoyable, good for building core strength and keeping my back problems at bay. Ann is very knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere in the class is fun. Currently it is fine on Zoom but we can't wait to get back to face to face social contact.
Kate MacCarthy: A really friendly studio. I only started a couple of years ago and have learned so much about the fundamental principles of Pilates. Classes are varied and cater for a range of abilities. After only a few months, I had comments that my posture seemed better! I’m a convert to Pilates for life now and it’s thanks to this studio, highly recommend.
Rose Krzyz: I have been going to Ann’s for around 10 years. I always look forward to the weekly sessions and my core strength has improved improved enormously in that time. Ann is very friendly and welcoming. Much to recommend here for Pilates and For Ann Chester’s Pilates.
jane hall: I’ve been taught Pilates by Ann ever since recovering from a slipped disc about 10 years ago. She is a great teacher and her classes are really inclusive. I really recommend her classes to anyone, no matter what level you are looking for.
Laura Di Bona: Recommended by NHS physio 10 years ago, been going ever since. Brilliant service tailored to my ever changing physical needs. Fun and enjoyable as well as just the right amount of hard work
Sally Kilner: I have been attending Ann Chester Pilates studio classes for over a year. Ann and the team are experts in the field of Pilates, tailoring sessions to all abilities. The delivery and coaching is with precision, movement flows and made fun. At the centre of the Pilates classes is core-strengthening and to improve posture - invaluable at a time we are all at home hunched over our laptops - it's a welcomed Zoom! Ann Chester and the team's set up in the studio, when not in lockdown, is impressive and welcoming. When lockdown eases, I'd recommend attending Saturday Retreats and Welcome days. Thank you to the team.
Louise Shield: Warm, friendly and expert Pilates tuition from Ann Chester and her colleagues. She has made such a difference to my chronic back issues. I love the sessions and how they make me feel, and am completely confident that I am receiving the best Pilates support in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Jane Ferretti: Ann and the other teachers are experienced and friendly. The studio is warm, and well equipped. I have been attending for a number of years and have progrssed from beginners' classes to more advanced ones. I certainly recommend Ann Chester Pilates.
Andrew Swarbrick: Ann is excellent and very knowledgable. I am very new to Pilates and I really enjoy her classes - she adapts to your individual needs and gives you a thorough understanding along the way. Definitely recommend!
Anita Allen: A lovely studio with experienced Pilates teachers. Great for all levels from beginners to 'tough' ! Highly recommended

I couldn't lift my arms much more than shoulder height, my back was painful and all my muscles felt weak and tight. Thanks to all the help from TJW Pilates, I'm almost back to my old self. I enjoy the classes too, everyone is friendly and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable. I could not recommend the classes enough.
