After a week I rang the gentleman back and explained that my child isn’t taking to him and if I could bring him back, he said that was perfectly fine but said to try for a couple of weeks more until she got use to him a bit better. So I said that I’d try to do that and it’s no problem but if he still could give me a refund if I rang back in a couple of weeks he said yes. After a couple of weeks my little girl still didn’t take to him and he pretended that he couldn’t remember speaking to me when I rang back and that he can’t refund me because it’s been too long. Even though! He was the one with the idea!! Won’t be going back.

Aparajita S: A delightful little find that i came upon by chance. Right in the middle of chapel street is this little shop, very well set having all kinds of items made by local artisans. Quirky, bohemian, just the kind of outlet i like to go into that sells different kinds of items. From posters to magnets, keyrings, coasters, interior decoration stuff, soaps and whatnots. Smells nice too. The sort of place i would go to to look for something a little different for the bohemian corner in my home. You can mix and match things like coasters and buy at a reduced prize. Definitely worth a visit.

Stuff for every budget, formed most of our gift buying while we were away! Range of stuff from local sources and also national sources like Topple and Burn which I am already very familiar with. The amazing woman also gave us some free tote bags after we stayed in almost right up until closing!

They have a delightful selection of products from independent, local artists and creators. I easily found everything I wanted, and they even found extra stock of an item that seemed to have sold out – excellent customer service! Awesome small businesses like these are so important for our communities, and I hope Bird's Yard continues to thrive in the months ahead.
Darragh Cowley: In December 2019, I was working away from home inlovely, lovely Sheffield. My girlfriend came to visit, and as she and I were walking down Chapel Walk, she noticed something in the window of a gorgeous little shop of trinkets and treasures. A very sweet Snoopy the Dog dimmable lamp sat perched in the window pane, unbothered about life and seemingly very content in the window of Bird's Yard.Over a year later, I dropped the team over at Bird's Yard an email, enquiring over the lamp, with the intention of buying it as an anniversary gift. Michelle got back to me faster than I could have hoped, and was so helpful and enthusiastic about my idea. I couldn't believe just how wonderful she was, she even added a gorgeous personal touch to the package sent. Needless to say Michelle has really helped keep our wonderful memories of Sheffield so alive. I will absolutely be ordering from Bird's Yard again, and I hope to be able to drop by in person once we can venture out into the world once more.We are so very touched by Michelle's kindness. Our experience could not have been more personal or special, thank you Michelle!

Hotmess Black: This is a great place to visit if you love your reptiles / amphibians and much more.. There was a very handsome bearded dragon who I could have watched and talked to all day long! Little “littlegrizzlybiggins” Grizzlybiggins: By far the best reptile shop I’ve ever been to. It’s so good to see a reptile shop actually house their animals in a proper environment and treat them as the living thinking animals they are. Danny (apologies for the name drop) was absolutely fantastic! So incredibly helpful and passionate, he went above and beyond to help with any questions we had along with just being super friendly and he really made our day. A genuinely lovely person to talk to! Exotic pets will most definitely be out number 1 shop for reptile related purchases from now on. What a truly wonderful shop!

James Wood: Really happy with the service provided here, I made an error on my first order and forgot something so had to make a second order, I called up and they waived the delivery cost on the second order with no questions asked and they told me my lamp guard wouldn’t fit my ceramic heater so I could change it which is fantastic as well, most places would just leave it and not tell you. Would 100% recommend and use these guys in the future.

klixc 101: The animals are expensive!!! I have never seen a corn snake priced at nearly 100 quid… I would say though the animals are extremely well looked after and you can tell that those who own it have a passion for the animals. Wouldn’t buy from her personally as it’s way way over priced but the animals are well looked after hence 3 stars.
Response: Hi, Thank you for your review. Our prices on corn snakes start from £65 for CB22. Pricing is dependent on the morph and age of the snake available at the time. I think if you factor in the high standard our animals are kept at, the experienced staff you can speak to when visiting our store, and the huge increase in overheads businesses like ourselves have been subjected to in recent months, they are actually very reasonably priced. Rebecca Handley: So happy to have found exotic-pets. My partner bought a bearded dragon from a friend who was moving. The set up was old and wasn’t suitable for our home. The staff at exotic pets were so helpful in advising us on the equipment that was needed and explaining everything to us. We didn’t feel like we were being pushed into a sale and we felt listened to throughout. The staff here are very knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. I love the rewards card as well as we have already racked a few months worth of free food. Our beardie definitely looks happier in her new home

Well, what a time to be alive !!!! I met Fennec Foxes, which I've always adored.. what a dream!!Then I met a skunk, a tiny owl, a host of baby meerkats and tons more beautiful animals. The event clearly put a smile on every visitor's face and the atmosphere was brilliant. Not to mention being able to find out lots of information about all sorts of animals!I was having a rubbish day and this event, and the people hosting it, completely turned my day around. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for being such a great store!I would recommend the store for a huge range of products, knowledgeable staff and great pricing.See you again soon.

V: I went here to get a harness for my lurcher. We had one already which we ordered off the internet (after measuring our dog), but it wasn't a great fit. Our dog is very dog reactive so it is difficult to take him to places like pet shops. However, Rachael was very understanding and helpful. We arranged an appointment for a time when her dog wouldn't be in the shop, and she also made sure that no other dogs entered the shop during our appointment. She was clearly experienced in finding the right harness for a dog - not just in terms of size but also practicalities such as escape-proofness. We came away with a nicely fitting Ruffwear harness, a lovely raincoat and some treats. Nice shop with good quality items and helpful owner. Thanks

Pat Glanfield: Took my dog to Rachel for harness fitting. Dog has had surgery on her leg and the harness is helping with her recovery. It's made by Ruffwear and has a really good handle, which means I can easily support some of her weight. Rachel appears very experienced and was so helpful.
