The last time he didn't even charge me because I only needed to alter one Chinese character in the document to be authenticated by FCO (due to my own mistake first time round). Susan Patterson: We have used Bell and Buxton three times now and have had a first rate experience each time. David was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was a pleasure working with him and we would thoroughly recommend.
A Ferguson: I would not recommend. The firm has taken on too much work without enough resources. I used this firm for a house sale. Sam and Lucy missed some checklist items and were unavailable when needed. All ended up getting resolved and pushing through, but it was a very stressful experience. Also, I reported my frustrations to the firm and Sam. Sam was arrogant and borderline rude, but the office manager was very kind.
Gaynor Fillingham: I’ve always dealt with this solicitor ( through my late uncle ) I have my will with them , last updated 31/8/16 . I also gave them ( Charles Neal ) the title deeds to my property , for safe storage !!! I’ve contacted them 3 times to request my title deeds ( 27/7 , 18/8 and today 20/8 . They’ve never replied to now , now I’m told they DONT have them & do I have a receipt !!!! I keep all important documents !!! Where do I stand now , I’m in middle of trying to sell & buy a property. Really not happy 😡😡😡

The solicitor quickly grasped the essentials, and gave me specific and helpful answers, so I could get on with the tasks without paying a penny. Thank you Martin
Penny Withers: My problem seemed to me to be complex, involving property, probate also delicate family issues. The solicitor I initially spoke to at Bell and Buxton immediately understood the situation and pinpointed a solution. My case was dealt with swiftly, professionally and successfully. I was made aware of the costs at every stage. Most important for me was the confidence I felt in the solicitor’s ability to understand and resolve the issue.
Sba Sba: Bell and Buxton assisted us recently in the legal documentation required for minors to travel to South Africa without their parents. The solicitor we dealt with was particularly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had all the correct documentation at short notice. The trip was able to go ahead without any hitches. Would not hesitate in highly recommending.
Garnish2Serve: Bell and Buxton last year arranged powers of attorney for us without any hitches, and explained the ramifications of what is a complicated matter with great patience. We have also in the past used them for work relating to redundancies/severance of contracts, and for conveyancing, without any problems whatsoever, and are about to use them for that latter purpose again, so clearly we have full confidence in them across a range of services.

She gave eactly the service I want from a solicitor - they provide the 'standard' (albeit personalised) draft, I provide my own input, and they fine-tune the document so it is legally robust. I have been very happy with the service I received and will return.

F Fish: If you are getting a divorce DO NOT get yourself represented by this firm. They will take your money and do little for you in return. They are an absolute load of rubbish!

Unethical is how I would summarize their service.Review Solicitors is the website where we're expected to review their service and having written it there, I could see that it never appears there as long as it's a negative review. That should tell you the reality and no wonder they make it look like their are reviewed wonderfully and I hope they could not control Google reviews too.From their quote:"50% of the conveyancer’s Fees referred to above plus any disbursements incurred when instructions are withdrawn after the drafting of a contract for sale." - reference from their quote - but there was no draft of a contract as such at this point but still sent a bill for 50% fee. When asked for a draft of the contract, all I was sent is a document that has got barely any details - there should be a minimum fairness and I wish I had all the time I wanted so I would deal with them legally. Please keep away and trust me, there are reasonable solicitors out there!

Nick Milne: Update - The Information Commissioner's Office ordered Banner Jones to comply with my subject access request by a set date. My file arrived three days after this date in a paper envelope that was completely ripped open on delivery. The papers showed evidence of outright lies and that they had held £330 of my money intended for a leasehold management pack for almost two weeks before making payment to the management company. The papers also included copies of some (but not all) the lost documents which they had categorically told the ICO they had never received - another lie.Original review:Banner Jones handled a property sale on my behalf and it was the worst service of any kind I have ever received. Errors, delays, lack of communication to the point that I tried contacting the partner responsible for the matter who never replied. The firm lost documents then denied they ever received them, then failed to comply with data access requests on numerous occasions. Stay well clear.
