Wham BOOM: Out of order. Saw a guy in vip get thrown out whilst he was with his girlfriend for literally nothing (walked up to him and dragged him out) when he tried to question it another bouncer grabbed him from behind and tried to body slam him all whilst he’s co operating.I have mobile footage of the incident. I’ve been told about such discriminatory incidents taking place but today was first time I saw it. Furthermore it’s supposed to be student night but my group was allowed in which gives the impression the door staff are pick and choosing.

Scott Glover: This club is a complete joke. Bought tickets online got to the door the rude bouncer who needs to be taught some manners asked for ID showed him and was told it’s 24s and under. Never been turned away from a club for been too old at 27. This has happened to a few people and it’s a Saturday night not a student night. This club shouldn’t be allowed to do this and should be shut down anyway nothing special by all accounts and not worth bothering with.
Chloe Louise: I went to Onyx for a friends birthday and by far the best night out I have ever had. The staff and bouncers were so nice when serving and checking our ID’s. The atmosphere was great with great music all night long. Onyx is definitely my go to club from now on and i would 10000% recommend going :)

Zuzanna Sokolowska: Amazing club with amazing atmosphere and the best music. The new bouncers are lovely and make me feel safe anytime I go there for a nightout. Th staff are approachable and lovely. They've always tried to go above and beyond to sort out any mishaps.

COCO Tong: Lame club and the bouncers are so rude. If there is something wrong with YOUR management site. Don’t blame others. Find some quality staff. If I could rate negative I will go down for negative!

The bouncers wouldn't let her go back inside to try and find her friends or phone and they were shouting at her. It was clear she was very drunk and they did nothing to help her. A bouncers job is to keep people safe and they did nothing in this kind. If it wasn't for a friendly stranger she wouldn't have got home safe. Never coming back!!! Also how can we get in touch to find her phone we've been phoning your number and no answer, left messages om all social media and nothing.
Mo: Lost ID, got in touch with instagram, facebook pages of ONYX, was given Tans number who said hed look for it the next day, been over 10 days and Ive had no reply even after messaging again to find out if theres any information. Instead of replying to my messages I seem to be left on read which is unfortunate because a simple 'We had a look and couldn't find it' would suffice. Worst part is the night wasn't even worth losing my ID for, decent but nothing special.

CycloneChilli: I was very disappointed with my experience here. The place has good value drinks compared to others in Chesterfield. The positives stop there for me. Compared to other clubs in the town this one seems more rough. Another patron pushed me into a wall when I bumped into them. The bouncers are very unpleasant people indeed and just laugh at you if you ask them for help. Not fit for purpose and not how you treat paying customers after over a year of being closed. How this place still has a licence is beyond me.

The bar hasn't really changed in the last 10 years, but has more than enough potential to be even better and take advantage of it's ongoing theme, but it's still a great bar regardless.

TheLucky One: Wish I couldn’t even give it a one star it’s very filthy the toilets 🤮 it definitely needs a whole refurbishment in every inch of that place . I went in on a Saturday and it cost £20 there was like 30 people in there the floor was sticky , freazing didn’t really smell nice , seating area is terrible had empty cups and rubbish on them, we went to the bar and they was charging different prices for the same drink . Not happy will never go again!!!

Nice large main room, the in-house PA is top quality. Good prices on drinks and sometimes food is served. Security are friendly enough.

unde feated: Went here for the first time on Saturday, enjoyed the brief time here before having my drink spiked, actively unhelpful bouncers with no concern for safety or awareness that spiking takes place in clubs. If you do go here be careful with your drink and do not expect help from the staff, if something does happen as their only interest will be getting you out the door.

I have never been so insulted before and no one should have to be treated like dirt the way I was. Vile staff, even worse management and definitely not a safe LGBTQ space. Avoid at all costs.

Lyndsey and the rest of the security team literally went above and beyond to try and find some for her (which they did, thank you again!) which made my night as we were celebrating my birthday. Danny Grayson: Was back in my home town visiting from Manchester and took some friends over.. What a backwards place this is! Door staff wouldn’t let us in because we looked ‘too straight’ refused to check the system as I have been before. The female one was vile, shouting and swearing at us and quite frankly needs a attitude check! Then said they was radioing over to other venues to not allow us entry! My Manchester friends where actually shocked at the difference in treatment here and how clearly of a not inclusive to everyone place it is. None of us will ever be coming back!
Sophina Corry: The bouncers did nothing to stop me and my girlfriend Getting attacked by a straight couple who tried to steal our jackets and when we went To retrieve them after they stole them. We hid in a city cab to escape the attack until they caught up to us and started punching us in the face screaming at us and we had to file a police complaint due to dempsys inability to keep people safe.

Anna Marshall: My friends and I go here quite often as it closes late and it's such a fantastic club. I can honestly say that Dempseys is a club where I genuinely feel safe, the bouncers/ security are always polite and helpful and do a really good job keeping people safe, if you have any issues they're always available to help. The bar staff and Djs are brilliant too! Really down to earth and will happily chat with you. They play a really diverse range of music and if they don't have a song that you've requested they'll download it for you. The drinks are well priced, and they have some interesting cocktails.Honestly, this is probably my favourite bar in Sheffield, it's a safe, fun environment that caters to people of different backgrounds etc. Love it.

Glynn: Overall a very good venue.However I went to see a comedy show the other night and there wasn't enough leg room at all. My thighs were really aching and by the time it finished my legs were hurting and couldn't wait to stand up, felt like standing up but didn't want the comedian saying something so I felt I had to keep sat still, with me being tall I need more leg room and unless the chairs get to be more spaced out between the rows in future I honestly wouldn't want to go again. My mate said his legs were aching and not as tall as me, so something has to be done.However this is an overall rating as I've enjoyed seeing a few bands in the past here standing. Staff always seem friendly.

Samantha Frickleton: Made a special trip to Sheffield to go to see music at the Leadmill. Amazing venue. Show was sold out but there was plenty of room so as not to feel hemmed in. Felt really safe in the venue. Friendly staff, good sound quality and clean toilets. What more could you want?

Hannah Baines: Faulty ticket - usually have a great time with no difficulty getting in but last time i went they claimed my ticket had already been used 30 minutes earlier (i hadnt sent it to anyone so there is no way this could have happened) and when i showed the guy that it was my name on the ticket he didnt care and just told me wait behind a barrier where no one came to speak to me about it, essentially just leaving me (18F) on my own outside due to a fault in their system. Made me uncomfortable with how i was treated or may be treated again if i go back.
JSB 1: Went 27/1/23 around 11ish, they didn’t accept mine and my mates ticket code and we had to wait other side of the road for over 1 hour before security let 100 plus in. Once in it was all great experience but security needs to do better getting people in as a lot in the queue either tried sneaking in or just started leaving. The men’s restroom at 4am with the 2 security guards trying to break down one of the cubicle doors was pretty good end to my first night out in Sheffield! 😂

Owen Brown: As with any night at the Leadmill, my night seeing Amyl and The Sniffers was amazing, but this was extra special.I had been due to see them in Liverpool (The Leadmill sold out so quickly) with my daughter (her favourite band). However when tour dates were altered it became apparent we couldn't. My daughter is being treated for anorexia and Amyl in Liverpool was a focal point for getting to a healthy weight, which would mean she could attend the gig. Sadly, the changed date was to early. I contacted the Leadmill who went out of their way to help and put us on the guest list.The night was amazing and it gave my daughter a huge boost and was a really important marker in her treatment.The Leadmill has once again proven itself to be more than just a venue. It is Sheffield and we can't let it go.Thank you to everyone at The Leadmill for what you did for my daughter, the gig will live long in her memory, but not as long as your gesture will in mine.A truly amazing venue and staff.

Heather C: Overcrowding took away the enjoyment of the evening (26/11/22) being shoved all night as people tried to make a path through to the bar or toilets. Didn't feel safe.
Paes Pal: The money drop night is a borderline scam. They claimed to drop 1.5k yet had about 25 balloons mostly containing fivers (think a couple tenners) each. Asked a worker and he was sceptical about the whole thing himself? Me and my friend paid for tickets specifically for this event so complete waste of money. False advertising isn't a good look..
