Mickey Moran
Mickey Moran: My band KissKissKill (@xxkofficial on insta) performed here on Saturday 22nd. This is a regular thing on Saturdays and a great way to discover new music right on your doorstep. The layout of the store was great! the collection of vinyl and merch/tshirts was cool too. The staff were wonderful, helpful and informative.

James Stanton
James Stanton: Staff very helpful, good range of films and music
Jo Crandell

Phil Haslam

Symon Payne
Symon Payne: As HMV have diversified over the years there is less and less choice. Popular chart stuff only. Too many toys, record players and tee shirts these days. Not enough music anymore. Got everything I wanted from Amazon in the end. The HighbStreet will only survive if the High Street has the products the people want. Why waste so much space on record players. Its not an item people buy very often and I wouldn't buy one from HMV anyway. I would go to somewhere like Richer Sounds, their staff know about the products they sell. The HMV staff were clueless when asked a simple techie question about record players!.
John Wilkinson
John Wilkinson: Always good to be able to browse around a real shop rather than just ordering online

Patch Sandy
Patch Sandy: Great but some of the new stuff not in. Sometimes things are not brand new and are scratched especially the older things. The food things are very expensive cereal £19.99 or pop £3.99 lol. Sales are good for new things. Records can be brought cheaper at our local shop and ordered.

The Music Box: what do users think?
Estelle Bridgland
Estelle Bridgland: We went to Buy a Electric guitar for my 12yr old son very helpful lady .knew lots about there guitars. We ended up buying a guitar and Amp . Very good service and reasonable service msoNoaloves
Daniel Ray
Daniel Ray: I do like this place. I think the staff could be more knowledgeable. I am very new and bought strings and other things from them and they are always happy to help but one time I asked for something and they did not know what I was talking about and got the impression they thought I was being stupid (Probably my imagination tbf). Other than that it is a great place if you want to buy a beginner guitar or other little nic nacs like string winder, tuners etc. Also about the person below saying they did not get greeted but someone else did. So what? They probably thought you knew what you were doing and so left you alone. When I go in I get asked sometimes if I need help and other times not. no biggie. But if I ask for help they always do.
Charlene Luty
Charlene Luty: The young lad that works there is rude and the older lady isn’t much better, I visited the store to have something printed on a sweatshirt for my sons first birthday, first they said it would be not today ya looking at over 4 hrs to which I replied that’s fine, i went & purchased the sweatshirt and took it to them for him to say ahh we can have that done today if your only wanting that would only have been £7 transfer however when I wanted to see what the writing wud look like before paying, that wa a clearly too much trouble, when I showed him what I would like he said it would be the same so when I asked to look he huffed and wrote it out on the computer and it looked nothing like I’d asked for for him to reply & say well that’s what it wud be. So my reply to him was forget it I’ll take it somewhere else he was just like yeah that’s fine being right clever I’ve no idea how they get any business talking to people in that way, precious to this he was also sniggering abt what someone wanted printed on a t-shirt so the service I’m sorry to say is horrendous and will never recommend this place to anyone !!!!
Richard Thomas
Richard Thomas: Great little music shop, nice range of acoustic and electric guitars and ukuleles
sarah
sarah: Called up yesterday to enquire about guitar tuning/replacement of strings. Incredibly helpful over the phone. Visited the shop today and the man replaced the strings on my guitar and also gave it a good clean. Reasonably priced and fantastic service.
Gillian Clarke
Gillian Clarke: Been in today to look for music to play a certain song so my dad, who has dementia can sing along with me. When I began to tell the “boy” behind the counter the story of what I want, he actually rolled his eyes at me. He doesn’t know how lucky he is that I decided to be a lady and just leave instead of telling him what I thought . Disgusting attitude. How are they even still in business
Beth (hausofoasis)
Beth (hausofoasis): Came in yesterday ready to drop £300 on an electric guitar, checked my watch and we were in there over 10 mins. Kept looking over at the two lads behind the till but they stared back and just carried on their own conversation which clearly was more important! Don't even waste your time.
Fizzyy_
Fizzyy_: Exellent after sale support and happy staff!
Michael Whitehead
Michael Whitehead: Ben looking for a teaching book on drum music. They have some in, but I need to visit the shop and view the tutor. Will let you know what transpires. Have been before knowledgeable staff and very helpful.
Andrew Wheeldon
Andrew Wheeldon: Very helpful staff, loads of sheet music and tablature. Printing service for individual pieces of music. Parts for guitars reasonably priced. A few guitars, electric and acoustic and Ukes, a few other instruments. A lovely little oasis with a plethora of restaurants a stones throw away. Browse the guitar stuff and then feed your face -perfect! 😁

As I left a couple entered and were instantly greeted. I was going to purchase a Chord P bass, lead, strap and gig bag, all of which will be now purchased elsewhere. 10/10 for poor customer service, would NOT recommend.

Aparajita S
Aparajita S: Small, quaint second hand bookstore in Sheffield City Centre on the main road. Very helpful young ladies at the reception. The entry is level and i faced no problems going in with a pram. Steps inside. In the front of the shop are some books, a dvd collection and a vinyl collection. Some other items as well such as containers, cups, scarves. Inside is a properly labelled section containing a decent collection of books. Nice shop.
Sooraj Ashraf
Sooraj Ashraf: Really cosy and cute book stall. I use to volunteer here. My colleagues are amazing.

Dain Smart
Dain Smart: So surprised to see a book and record shop as a charity shop very good for students and the other learned person
Just Jaye
Just Jaye: I gave an extra star because there are a lot of books but they can be quite pricey for a charity shop. They have resold books that were already priced from other second hand shops at half the price they're charging (or more than half the price sometimes). I've even seen the same books that cost the same or less brand new from places like the Works. I know it's for charity but if you're on a budget are you really going to pay more for a used book that you could get brand new for the same price or less??
Lucy Branford-White
Lucy Branford-White: Respectable Oxfam shop specialising in books especially.
Jason Leigh
Jason Leigh: One of the cheaper Oxfam stores

Wizard Guitars: what do users think?
Archie Rawson
Archie Rawson: By far the best Guitar shop in Sheffield nay Yorkshire. Consistently excellent customer service. Came in today to ask about some new strings and was given a full education on what I should be looking for based on the sound of what I want to play and the feel I want on my board. Couldn't recommend it enough!
conor jewitt
conor jewitt: Older fella in there was passive aggressive and frankly rude when we asked to try out some guitars. I understand being frustrated if people are coming in and damaging instruments but it isn’t fair to treat every customer like that, they simply left us alone without a cable or anything to actually try the guitar out with. The selection of instruments was great but frankly there was absolutely no chance I was going to buy from them after being treated like that.
Luke W.
Luke W.: Great guitar shop, friendly staff and a good selection of guitars and accessories for any level of player.
Mark Illingworth
Mark Illingworth: After looking online at various shops and reviews I settled on Wizard Guitars and wasn't disappointed. I've been wanting to get back into playing after 10+ years. I got completely sound advice from the guys in the shop and i will definitely return. I was able to play the full set up before purchase and wasn't pressured in the slightest to buy anything I didn't need.
Lucas Stoten
Lucas Stoten: Great shop. The staff are very generous with their time.
Mike Akroyd
Mike Akroyd: I bought my first electric guitar from these guys when they were on Ecclesall Road a few years ago, and have been back for support around setup etc. Today was my first visit to the new shop. Although the environment has had a massive upgrade, and really needs to be seen to be believed, I was most pleased that the same friendly expert service that they have always provided remains in place. What turned out to be a relatively minor pickup issue was sorted quickly, with advice about how to monitor and maintain in the future. One of the most important things for me as a relatively limited guitarist, is that the team at Wizard have never made me feel daft, which I've found can be the case in other shops.
LE Norsworthy.
LE Norsworthy.: Had a bad experience many years ago. Total mercenaries
Johnny
Johnny: Good shop and good service.
Billy Washington
Billy Washington: Got my Les Paul set up at wizards and they did a fantastic job at a great price! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the new shop is great! Definitely recommend.
Neil Hudson
Neil Hudson: Took my bass in for a new nut fitting and they did a splendid job. When I got it home and found string buzz they took it back in and sorted it at no extra cost (it turned out to be a dodgy string). Very professional service.
Mark Metcalfe
Mark Metcalfe: Nice friendly shop, good prises
Maurice Wren
Maurice Wren: A guitarist's paradise, staffed by friendly, knowledgeable people.
William T Dyer
William T Dyer: took bass in for repair, took no time at all, really fridnely staff
Rudders666
Rudders666: I can't say enough good things about this place. I called in last weekend looking for my first guitar setup and was given loads of time and even a bit of a free lesson really, which was great and really got me hooked immediately. I walked out with a guitar, amp, tuner, stand, bag, etc, all the things to start me on my journey. I'll be back in three months for restringing (even though it's not local to me). Fantastic service!! A+++
Alex Hudson
Alex Hudson: Popped in about 3 times over the past week for a little help with my project guitar. Super friendly, very clued up and an excellent selection of geeeeetars! Couldn't recommend enough, they're great! 🤘😎
Andy Carter
Andy Carter: I visited Wizard Guitars for the first time last week. I was looking to buy my first ukulele. Being a beginner I was unsure what would be best as an entry level, although I knew I wanted a uke that had a good sound. The advice I was given was excellent. They went through the different types of ukuleles and gave me demonstrations as well as letting me try them out myself. Personally I don't believe you can really buy a musical instrument online. You need to feel it in your hands and hear how it plays. I came away a very happy customer. A week later and I'm loving my new ukulele. I'd highly recommend this shop and will be back in the future.
Niell Jordan Jinivon
Niell Jordan Jinivon: Went in for a guitar nut repair and opted in for a cheaper option, midway during repair the nut broke as it was cheap plastic. The staff at Wizard Guitars replaced it with a higher quality one and insisted on not charging me extra! All in all, great service with people who know their stuff, would highly recommend them for all your guitar needs in Sheffield.
ok
ok: This place has a great selection of equipment, as far as I know it has the best selection of EHX pedals in the whole of Sheffield. Would definitely give this place a shot if your in the market for some new equipment. Friendly and welcoming staff too, they were great at helping me pick out new equipment if I needed advice, and were happy to chat to me about the equipment they have in stock, even if I'm not looking to buy.
John Andrew
John Andrew: Got my acoustic guitar set up by Phil at Wizard Guitars. It's never played this well. Very knowledgeable + top quality service. I would highly recommend.
Lyndsey Thomas
Lyndsey Thomas: Visited this shop to sell three guitars. We was worried about selling these as we have no knowledge on guitars, but the guys here were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and give us a good price for them. Would definitely recommend.

Luke J Reevey
Luke J Reevey: Could not recommend this shop more- Dave was absolutely brilliant, helped me so much with what I was looking for (and was very patient despite my complete lack of knowledge). Will always be my go to record shop. If you need anything to do with records, instruments, microphones, etc (sound in general), then definitely go here!!! Super friendly, really cool shop, and all the help I could ask for :) Will be back again soon!
Leonid Dudakov
Leonid Dudakov: It's a nice place to buy a new instrument. The store worker was very nice, he handed me a tuner, said that I can pick up and try anything that I like and left me to it. I tried almost ten guitars at my own pace before settling on my final choice. It was a great experience.
Fred Guilbert
Fred Guilbert: Great shop and great vinyl range upstairs..
Debra Gillett
Debra Gillett: went in yesterday wont be bothering again was served by this surly middle aged couldnt crack a smile if his life depended on it bloke clearly had no people skills was patronising(possibly because im a woman???) need to sack this one
Simon Roberts
Simon Roberts: Great little Aladdin's Cave style music shop, great selection of instruments and amps downstairs. Upstairs large selection of vinyl and some CDs. Could have spent hours looking through them all, generally well organised, good selection of reasonably priced new and used vinyl and some rarer items with higher but competitive price tags. Held back and just bought one Queen and Adam Lambert EP this time but will be back.
Colin Linford

Summer Jade Dolan
Summer Jade Dolan: Went here to see a gig with some local bands. Bands performed well and drinks were okay value, but my partner was charged £2 for coat check, and when we went to retrieve his coat at the end of the night, it had been stolen. Lady who had been operating cost check up until an hour before was trying her best to be helpful but the man she referred my partner to for assistance literally ignored him and did nothing to help. Didn't even offer the £2 back. It was a cold night in mid December and my partner had no coat as a result. Ignored my message about it thus far despite me handing over the crime number given by the police. At a loss as to what we can do.
Dawnie Stilwell
Dawnie Stilwell: My favourite gig venue in Sheffield!
Abbo Abbo (Abbottoir)
Abbo Abbo (Abbottoir): The place for gigs in Sheffield. Having more choice of drinks behind the bar would make it that much better! (non alcoholic too)

Russell Newton
Russell Newton: Richtone have absolutely excellent customer service. I recently bought a Warwick Alien 6 string acoustic bass from them and from the initial phone call I made to enquire about the bass, all the way through to delivery (this morning!) with numerous emails exchanged in between, Richtone have been superb! Very quick to respond, very quick to dispatch and although I was quite prepared for the bass to arrive next Tuesday due to the Bank Holiday, it arrived this morning so now I have the 3 day weekend to play it! All round, top service!
Christian Fletcher
Christian Fletcher: Never again!
Dave Discharge
Dave Discharge: Worst customer service! Their courier damaged the guitar due to mishandling. So far two weeks to resolve as Rich Tone are asking us to take full responsibility in getting the item safely back using their courier! Nothing but back and forth!!! Never had such a bad experience as this. So, if they wreck it again it becomes our responsibility? I don’t think so, matey. We’ll see you in the small claims court as you have been so negligent.
Rita Atherton
Rita Atherton: Great lads helpfull knowledgeable and patient

nanette shirley

Letz_Get Schwifty
Letz_Get Schwifty: Simply amazing service from start to end.My journey starts with Pete! I was after part exchanging a few things for a Les Paul. Catch is I can't be at the store due to distance, but luckily the process was so simple it couldn't be easier. I sourced my own boxes (Richtone charge £20 per box due to its size, so highly recommend asking your local music shop for spare boxes which should be free), they arranged collection and got my gear the following day.As each Gibson is different, I'm checking a couple of guitars for their tops, Pete kindly checked and tried them personally, after little debate we settled with what is now my new Les Paul that arrived today! Which also plays incredible!! I was nervous, as normally you want to try these guitars before buying, especially as they arent a cheap guitar! But trusted the advice and it paid off.A shout out to whoever set this guitar up before shipping, such a nice difference when a guitar is ready to play out the box...and set up really well.Again thank you to everyone who helped, I can't flaw your customer care and appreciate all the time you've given me. I absolutely love my new guitar and given I couldn't personally be at the store, the experience couldn't be better!

Blue Note Music Shop: what do users think?
Rosie Pearce
Rosie Pearce: John serviced my flute and piccolo after nearly 15 years with no service. He took the time to explain all the work he’d done on each and the flute in particular sounded transformed-I hadn’t realised how much delaying a service could impact the tone! John communicated well both before, during and after the service, and was friendly, professional and enthusiastic. I’ll definitely be back.
Jayne Dawson

Lindy Surtees
Lindy Surtees: I emailed on Friday evening about servicing my flute, which hadn't been looked it in about 20 years! He got back to me straight away and I took my flute in on the Saturday. He gave it a huge clean and sorted out all the issues, providing a breakdown of all the work done. I picked it up at the end of the day and it is like having a new flute! The difference it has made is amazing and it was a reasonable price for all the work undertaken. Thoroughly recommend!

Paul Stockley
Paul Stockley: Fabulous service and I now have an instrument which plays perfectly (flugelhorn). Thanks 😊
John West

Jonathan Smith
Jonathan Smith: Great music lessons very kind people
Madeleine Berry
Madeleine Berry: Did a great job of servicing my flute. I had bought it second hand and neglected it somewhat, didn't realise I was supposed to get it serviced regularly to keep it in good condition! Anyway, it was knackered to the point of being unplayable. I couldn't believe the difference when I picked it up and tested it after getting it serviced here. It was nice and shiny too :)
Lisa Clark
Lisa Clark: Amazing service with a smile; I cannot recommend this shop enough. I took in a very poorly flute (ignored in the damp for too long) with no hope of good repair. John not only repaired it very quickly but also restored it to a good condition (both audible and visible), which was totally unexpected. The service was friendly, kind, knowledgeable and skilled. John understood how sentimental the instrument is to me and his personal touch shone through! Thank you ever so much, John!
Chris Lansley
Chris Lansley: I've used Blue Note a few times, for minor instrument repairs, music and accessories. The service has always been prompt, great value, and the owners are very friendly and polite in all their communications with me. Highly recommended.

I then took my wife’s saxophone in for a quick checkup as she hadn’t played it for some 12 years. Again fantastic service. If I could give more stars I would Many thanks

rodney price: We have just purchased a digital piano from Elegance Music and received first class customer service throughout the process. When we first visited their shop, James was friendly, helpful and explained everything clearly enabling us to choose exactly what we wanted. As well as supplying a piano James also found a good home for our old acoustic piano. He then arranged to deliver our new piano and take the old one away. The piano was then installed at our home by James and we are delighted with it. For anyone wanting something musical I would highly recommend you visit Elegance Music.

Tony Watterson-Marchell
Tony Watterson-Marchell: In May of this year, in the middle of lockdown, I ordered and paid for a Flight Diana Soundwave Tenor Ukulele having first asked and received a lot of advice from James regarding this and other ukes. Despite these extenuating circumstances James set the wheels in motion and ordered the uke from Slovenia. Because there were no flights in or out of the country the order was understandably delayed. James stayed professional throughout and emailed me regularly to keep me informed. Once he received the instrument he informed me that once he had done the alterations I had requested (the addition of a 2nd strap button and the adaption of the nut to accommodate a "low G string") he would send it immediately. True to his word the uke arrived it perfect condition a few days later. I found James to be utterly professional and, just as important, a really pleasant and fun person to deal with (just how many song titles did we manage to sneak into our many emails eh James? lol) In my very first email I asked James to "Please Please Me," and he did his very best to, "Help." Now my uke and I are , "Happy Together." Thanks James.
Chris Stephenson
Chris Stephenson: Excellent advice, friendly and helpful. Not 'pushy. As a result, now awaiting delivery if an electric piano and eagerly awaiting my first lesson. Thanks so much

Jan CASSWELL: Recently purchased a digital piano , the piano appeared to be faulty but by the time it was finally realised Yamaha would only offer to repair it as it was over 30 days , James collected it and Gemma argued my case with Yamaha and managed to obtain a brand new one for me duly delivered and set up by James.Excellent customer service and would recommend their store
L Tassoni
