Lisa Shaw
Lisa Shaw: My daughter, 15 at the time of first consultation, has been going with regard to a mole which is affecting her mental health very much and makes her feel very insecure. Her first appointment was over a year ago, we have had several appointments while she decided if she really wanted it removing. My last contact was in June with the consultant when I advised she wanted to go ahead with removal. She told us she would have to go in the waiting list, acceptable. A couple of weeks ago I decided to ring as I’d not heard anything. After the receptionist had looked into it she couldn’t find anything and said she would ring me back, which she did. We got an appointment for 2 weeks later, which I asked if this was for the removal as I was surprised, she advised yes!! After 2 weeks of various emotions, nerves and happiness we arrived for the appointment. The consultant started asking questions which were very familiar, so I asked if she was removing the mole, to which she said, “oh no, not today, she has to go on the waiting list” I was absolutely astounded and my daughter by now was sobbing, which broke my heart to see her like this. The consults was very abrupt and had no compassion for my daughter and carried on asking if she wanted to go on the list!! Of course she does, I thought she was already on it, since speaking with the previous consultant in June. My daughter is in her final year at school with GCSE’s pending and her prom next year, she was so excited this mole was being removed as it was in an area where it could be seen, hence her anxiety with it. I told the consultant we had been through all of this with the previous consultant! She still carried on, although she did say I could speak with PALS if I wasn’t happy!!!! I then saw the lady from PALS and aired my anger and grievances, I am now awaiting her findings on this absolute sham!! My daughter however is now back in depression mode after the euphoria of thinking she was finally getting rid of it!! The consultant was very rude and had no empathy whatsoever. Who do these people think they are, messing with children’s minds?? Her mental health has suffered too much already! 🤬
Response: Hi Lisa, we're sorry to hear about your experience. We understand you've received direct support from our Patient Advice and Liaison Service, and we hope this helps both you and your daughter. Thank you.
jodie Manfredi
jodie Manfredi: I took my daughter to children’s hospital after getting no where with my GP. I want to say a big thank you to the staff at children’s hospital for listening to me and taking my children illness seriously. My daughter is now at home recovering from an operation. All the staff was amazing. The doctors,Theatre staff and nurses. Thank you again❤️
Response: Thank you for your review Jodie. We're really happy to hear you had a good experience with us, and your daughter is now on the mend. Thank you :)
Rebecca Sowerby
Rebecca Sowerby: Absolute amazing staff on the theatre admissions unit. My little girl had her tonsils and adenoids out and had gromits fitted. The anaesthetist Rob I think they called him was absolutely brilliant. He calmed my daughter down when she was having a full of meltdown . Megan the nurse that cared for her after was amazing. Answered all our questions. Thankyou NHS!! ☺️
Response: This is lovely to read Rebecca! Hope you're daughter is doing well now. If you would be happy for us to share a short story of your experiences - perhaps on our social media? - please email scn-tr.communications@nhs.net and we can let you know a bit more about this. Otherwise, thank you so much for leaving a review!
Shuzina Khanom
Shuzina Khanom: Went to A & E as my 3 year old was in pain and had swollen tonsils like Ive never seen and a severe headache, where he was holding his head in pain. Saw the Triage Nurse straightaway however she put us down as low priority and we ended up being seen after a 9 hour wait, yes, NINE hours in a Children’s A & E, they Apparently it was due to staff shortages. When we first cane in the waiting time was shown as 3 hours & 30 minutes, and 2 & a half hours of waiting, the waiting time jumped to 6 hours, and thats what it stated throughout our 9 hour wait, when they should have changed it again to state that it was now a 8 or 9 hour wait. Alot of other families were seen before us even though they came hours after us and had children same age as my child, I understand that some kids maybe more ill than mine, but 9 hours to see a doctor, and this was us coming in at 10.30 pm. Fuming wasnt even the word. Sheffield Children’s hospital’s other departments are outstanding but A & E was a joke.
Response: Hello. Things have been incredibly busy here with lots of visitors and we’re sorry you experienced the wait. Patients are seen by clinical priority, rather than time of arrival, and we know that can be frustrating. We are working really hard to see patients as soon as we can, but we are experiencing an unprecedented number of visits in these past weeks so our waiting time are higher than we would like. We’re continuing to work on reducing our wait times in a number of ways, but appreciate it’s really hard to wait for a long time to get our services when you need. Thank you.
Thomas Szczepanski
Thomas Szczepanski: Thank you to all the amazing staff on ward 4 for looking after our one year old while she was in for a few days. What a fantastic team of people, truly a credit to the NHS and the local area. Again, thank you!
Ryan Benson
Ryan Benson: My daughter had a pulled elbow, the triage nurse and the nurse practitioner who treated her were brilliant, she was scared and they both put her at ease. We were advised that the wait could be up to 5 hours but we were out in 2 and a half.
Lisa Wharton
Lisa Wharton: My baby had an operation today under the gastro team and the anaesthetists were amazing. Everyone really skilled, friendly and kind. Totally amazing experience compared to all the other hospitals he’s been in. Professor Thomson and his team are first class
Response: Thank you for your review Lisa, that's wonderful to hear.
Natasha Sayliss
Natasha Sayliss: We are so lucky to have this specialist Children’s Hospital in our city. They are absolutely brilliant, the staff are wonderful in every department and the hospital itself is so welcoming and beautifully decorated. I hope not to visit again, as obviously I want my children in perfect health, but I know that if we do need to visit, the children will be looked after, cared for, welcomed and safe. This hospital is a credit to us all
Souad Hussan
Souad Hussan: All the outpatients resptiontists are amazing, except for Michelle Allosop. I don't know what is wrong with this lady .always angry and stare with her eyes under the glass to the extent you feel that she is enforced to do her jobs. I have many appointments for my daughter, and everytime I tried to avoid to go or ask her. Honestly, she dealt with me not in a professional was. Smile to people is a good 👍 thing
R Greensmith - Staff
R Greensmith - Staff: My son has been in for surgery today after being on a waiting list. The professionalism of all concerned has been outstanding. Principal Tutor Learn to Shine Sheffield
Principal Tutor Learn to Shine Sheffield: Why are the people, assuming not qualified medical professionals, so rude here? They talk to you as if you’re a piece of cr*p. Perhaps refresh the training of frontline staff or employ people who know how to talk to members of the public. If you all want respect then perhaps ensure your give respect; totally inappropriate to speak to people how that person did.
Bilal Ali
Bilal Ali: Waited 4 hours not good

Sharon Oxley
Sharon Oxley: Just took my 16yr old to this A+E only to be told at 16 he's classed as a adult in Sheffield! Last time i looked at legal ages 18 was the age you become a adult. This takes the mick, disgusted isn't the word how can you legally get away with this?.
C smith
C smith: My daughter had a audiology test today on my way in to the department I asked a worker how I could get to MRI department as a few days later we had a scan booked too . He took my details and said he would try and get us done the same day , Paul his name was from radiology, he called me with in 15 minutes to say they could fit us in then, I was over the moon with how he treated us and the length he went to try and accommodate us. I’m giving him 5 stars as he was polite quick thinking and so helpful, he’s a asset to your team
Alison Tissington
Alison Tissington: Waited 1 hour 20 minutes after our appointment time for the ENT clinic. Then the appointment consisted of a fellow breaking the news that our consultant wanted to perform an operation that would make my son completely deaf in one ear. Asked for more info, told he couldn't give it us had to make an appointment with the consultant. No duty of care, no respect, no informed choice. All he did was scare my 15 year old son. Absolutely disgusting way to tell a child. And to top this off only one person works in the PALS office so you can complain and she is on annual leave for 2 weeks 🙄 not had a response to my complaint 2 months ago though when they made us wait an hour for the wrong clinic so no big surprise. Shame as the support workers and nurses are all amazing. The higher up though they need to go on patient care courses
andy grayson
andy grayson: Worked in estates department. What a joke I've waisted two years there wished I left earlier. A lot of two faced and back stabbing. Horrible atmosphere. So glad I've left. Unfortunately it's a I'm OK jak kind of attatude amongst higher banding pay rollers. Don't think the majority there are happy in themsels really. But that's just my opinion. Staff which have something about them leave. The NHS would be a good place to work if it wasn't for some of the institutionalised robots which worked there. I'm not one for working in an environment where your face doesent fit and just moan and slumbers on and take it I'm better than that. Good look to you all in estates. Ps you know who you are so hopefully they read this.
Adrian Hall
Adrian Hall: Brilliant hospital, very well ran and very modern. Couldn't ask for more, thanks to the wonderful staff who helped our baby boy get better

Patricia Batty
Patricia Batty: Didn't hate it I have never been there
Evin Aycicek
Evin Aycicek: Like many British universities, they view international students as nothing more than chickens that lay golden eggs. They eagerly accept our money, but when it comes to providing their promises, they fall short. In 2015, I stayed just one day in the Ranmoor dormitory and was promised a refund if I wasn't satisfied within 14 days. But when I expressed my dissatisfaction, they refused to return my £800. It was a blatant disregard for my rights as a student, and it left me feeling angry and betrayed. It's not enough for these institutions to simply take our money; they need to be held accountable for their actions and provide the level of service that they promised on their website.
CM
CM: It's the 7th week and I haven't saw my professor for one of my modules. Also not even one single piece of self-learning material was uploaded by him and no one in the uni seems interested in solving this issue. Meanwhile the students were told to complete a group work without receiving any instructions from the missing professor.Imagining paying £3500 for a module and that's what you got
Sandra Simpson
Sandra Simpson: Am currently working there has night cleaner it's great 👍 and lovely 🙂 people 😊💖💖
ikechukwu opara
ikechukwu opara: Conducive environment for study with top notch learning facilities and lecturers who go extra mile to impact knowledge and capacity to the students.A good international mix up of students . Unity in diversity in practice.Quality Education assured.
Beauchamp Dissident
Beauchamp Dissident: International Relations Teaching Associate Philip Mayne is negligent beyond belief and someone who was raised poorly. Funnily enough a bully and a r4cist. Otherwise a nice university
Leung Zoe
Leung Zoe: Think twice before you choose this uni. Their teachers are good, most of them paid a lot of effort in preparing the lectures. However, in the Master Taught Program, they intake LOTS OF STUDENTS who CAN BEARLY SPEAK and WRITE ENGLISH. Don't ask me how can it happen but it has seriously affect the quality of the class and the learning atmosphere.
Tim Foulstone
Tim Foulstone: The University has become a hostile environment to people of certain religions and I no longer think that it agrees with freedom of religion.
Mo Mo
Mo Mo: Is there anybody know why law university its off for 5 weeks please
James Smith
James Smith: Avoid studying engineering here, the way they treat you is despicable. It's impossible to get hold of a student handbook before being a student. You effectively have to sign a blank piece of paper and hope for the best. This allows them to make up the rules up as they go along. The head of departments are corrupt. Do you have money and come from 'the right schools'? You'll get uncapped 3rd and 4th attempts at exams. If you come from a poor background they'll make things as hard as possible, because 'you were never going to succeed anyway'. Did they offer you a scholarship? Good luck getting them to pay out on it. They'll bend over backwards to make a good impression on opendays but don't be fooled, as soon as you start your course everything changes. You'll get to experience your timetable changing with a couple of hours notice. Remember all those student licences they promise you on open days, you only get them if the year group revolts. Tour guides on open days are paid to be there, those that critise the course are never offered these roles.
Davis George
Davis George: Ranked uni. Well occupied one.

Kirsten Arding
Kirsten Arding: I will start that the staff at the practice are very lovely and friendlyBut...I have never had such a bad experience with the system. It took them 3 months to register me because they lost my initial application. Another time, I called 111 and the GP said they would contact my Medical Practice but the medical practice lost that request. I moved to Liverpool and registered at another GP. I tried calling multiple times and the lines kept saying the lines were closed. When I got through the next week. I asked for my medical records and they told me I wasn't on the system. They had lost all my records so bowni need to start all over again. there system really needs an update and better management. I don't know how they function. Would not recommend this practice to anyone.
Roy Long
Roy Long: They really really do not care about patients, at all. Takes 30-40 minutes to get through when phoning and they couldn't possibly care less. Had a phone consultation scheduled 6 weeks in advance, they never called on the day yet claim they tried twice when my call log states otherwise, just given another appointment for another 6 weeks time and they don't care that I'm going to run out of medication in the meantime.

And no doubt when I finally get answered the receptionist suddenly turns into doctor and what's to no everything, after u tell them u need to speak to a doctor, 2 weeks wait for a phone call , absolute joke, someone needs to look into this , this ain't right!
Jurga Jurgele
Jurga Jurgele: I'm ill and nearly 3 hours was staying on the phone trying to get an appointment. And when I was first number, nobody answer for me,and my patience just gone 10.50.How it's possible.maybe I'm rude, but realy for what these 👏 to nhs,you can die ,nobody caries.
Alecs Andra
Alecs Andra: I try to make an appointment for another day and they said that is not possible, if I need an appointment I have to call in the same day to see if is available any appointment. And after that they just hung up
Phil Bargh
Phil Bargh: Prescriptions seem to be delayed.Problem with doctors being in attendance.Staff appear to change quite a lot.Making appointment difficult, as response generally is none available.Feedback on tests poor, unless one goes and asks.
Tim Bradder
Tim Bradder: 4 surgeries never any doctors, patients just a inconvenience to them
Davey D
Davey D: Waited 30 minutes to be answered. I wanted an appointment for a flu jab. I was asked if I was eligible and answered yes. I was given an appointment and advised I would be sent a text. It was only when I put the phone down that I realised I wasn’t asked for my name or date of birth.. Needless to say I didn’t receive a text and will either need to call in or ring again. Dreadful service that there were over 5 in the queue, then it was stuck on 4,3, 2 1 for ages. I rang mid afternoon so you’d exit to be quieter
Jacky Brown
Jacky Brown: Trying to make appointment. Have tried 3 days in a row from 8am till 8.35. Its shoddy service.
Michelle Feltham
Michelle Feltham: Waited 45 minutes outside pressed the bell once as instructed after 10 minutes pressed again waited another 15 minutes pressed again by this time myself and 2 others were waiting I tried phoning only to hear our lines are closed, so I thought it may be lunch time🤔The other lady tried phoning to be told 15th in the queue, the gentleman with us had tried phoning Askern before arriving at Mexborough also to be told the same. When the receptionist eventually answered the door she said 'Have you rang' " yes I answered 3 times" she'd not heard anything I asked about CCTV her answer was " yes but that's out here" meaning reception and I'm in the back......What more can I say...... Blame it on the pandemic of course I think not!!!Diabolical service The doctor needs to review this.
