Michael Heng: Superb sporting facility in the centre of Sheffield. Includes 50m 10 lane olympic sized swimming pool, diving pool, leisure pool, and large hall. Parking underneath, close to train and bus stations and hotels nearby.
Phil Batten: We went there for a graduation ceremony. The building/facilities were perfect for the occasion. 400 graduates plus their families were very well catered for. A very nice setup for such a memorable occasion.
Mike freeman: Fantastic arena. My daughter was swimming at a gala here and I thought the facilities were excellent. I look forward to returning in the future. The cafe was also very good.
A Smith: When ever there is an event happening here the members are forgotten and lane swimming is taken away, there ask all home members to spend extra money travelling to over clubs, i was also told that leisure swimmers make more money And that’s me and members are directly discriminated against. I also told that there isn’t enough staff, why can’t they take two hours a day from l leisure pool and give it to members lower risk and no staff excuses needed. Water fountain are all faulty and steam always broken down and the spinning machine hasn’t worked for some time It has a real no policy

Stephen Roberts: This is an iconic venue for aquatic sports in the UK. We have attended swimming events for which the pool is great. The main pool is a ten lane, 50m set up with decent blocks at both ends. There is a boom that can be used to form two 25m pools. The diving pool is often used for warm up/swim down during races. There is ample space for swim teams and coaches on one side and spectators on the other.There is a fairly basic but less expensive than many cafe and good access by public transport.It is marked down to 4 start as the venue is tired in parts and facilities like toilets are worn. The cleaning teams obviously make an effort but there is only so much that scrubbing can hide!If you get the Fagan e to watch an aquatic’s competition here I would say go for it!

Anika Chowdhury: Decent medium-sized gym with two floors. It can get really busy at peak times so you can’t always use the machines you want. There’s a swimming pool which is a bonus! It costs me £33 monthly since I’m not a student and an extra £39 for swimming lessons which is not included in the monthly membership. Very expensive in my opinion, which is why I’ve given it 4-stars but staff are nice and friendly!
Stephanie Najafov: if i could give this gym 0 stars i would For £30 a month you get yourself a tiny gym that cant hold more than about 50 people in at a time, and this is supposedly open to not only students, but the public as well. Also for £30 a month, you have extremely outdated equipment, barbell pads provided are broken and taped up, not replaced and theres not enough of the equipment to handle the capacity for such a small gym. The walls around the changing rooms are mouldy and have plenty of leakages through the ceilings. Some of the staff are strange, i’ve had one that will blatantly stand in my way of a lift for no reason and continues to stare for no reason either, not a very comfortable atmosphere I only go to this gym because its the closest one otherwise take your money elsewhere

Vicious Vanity: I used to go there. There are variety of machines there. All equipments are working fine. There are 2 problems with the gym that I can point out. 1. The exercise building is old and small. 2. The distance from dcs campus and University accommodation is far. However I enjoyed my time there and meet lovely new people and got friend with them.
Tom C: Very average university gym, been to a lot better. The facilities has a wide range of equipment, generally well kept. Staff are not polite, mainly ran by students who appear to have little experience and argue regularly between themselves. Pool is good but not big with only 4 lanes but sauna and steam room are a nice addition, not often found at uni pools. The main problem lies with the cost. Having used other university gyms before this is more expensive then most with a student membership being around £230 for the academic year! When every student is paying £9000 a year it seems a little high.
Avik Mukherjee: Great sporting facilities, from football, squash, swimming and what not. The gym is very well equipped and the staff members are very helpful. Always emails well in advance in case of any changes in the schedule. Convenient opening hours and plenty of on-street parking are just icings on the cake.

I did not swim for 5yrs and was asked unnicely “come here for a second” to the poll while I was SWIMMING and trying catch up my breath, saying “you cannot staying in the medium lane, u will have to finish the whole row at once, or i will have to ask you to leave”. No ‘excuse me’ used, no ‘I’m sorry’ used 3)Disappointed experience, as being treated with no kindness and understanding 4)double-standard water bottles are not allowed inside, why ppl cannot drink water when they’re exercising?? And I’ve seen ppl drinking bottled water inside the pool

Finlay Sandham: Absolute disgrace of a gym. Completely unusable between 16:00 and 22:00 on weekdays - I tried going after uni once at 17:00 and there were so many people you could barely move. Took me over two hours to finish what should have been a 45min workout because I had to spend half the time waiting for machines. And even if you do manage to get a barbell during peak hours there aren't enough weights to go round.To top it all off, despite the fact that they have already given out at least 50% more memberships than they have capacity for, in January they were advertising new years deals!! As far as I'm concerned the people who manage memberships for this gym are thieves and I'm gonna be asking for a refund seeing as it's unusable for 30% of the advertised opening times. And despite all the money they rake in it still takes multiple weeks for them to fix machines and there are always at least two to three that are broken.

Amongus grand dad: I have only written about sheffield museum once before, though I've come across the building on several occasionsWhile I understand that museums are always being re-invented and changed in to fit a modern audience, it seems the timings of this process are somewhat different in my experience. I think that visitors should take the museum at the point at which it is changed and try to use it as it was designed to be used.To achieve this, you have to have a good understanding of what that museum was designed for. In this case, a small and easily accessed museum built for children.

Lee Machin: Removed the Swim Pods with no warning which we had been booking in almost every week since they began. We tried the regular sessions on Saturday and purposely chose one with very few spaces booked due to one of our children not handling busy areas too well. This seemed to work until the family from the next session decided they were going to start their session a good 10-15 minutes early and take over the pool.Generally the staff are polite and friendly and the cleanliness and condition of the pool is as expected for a local community centre. There are a few customers who mistake the changing rooms for the bins but it’s not the centres fault these tramps exist.There’s plenty of parking for the size of the centre especially disabled. However, please bear in mind if you need a blue badged space they fill up quickly usually by non blue badge holders. In fact, on our very first visit on the new time table 2 spaces were parked on by some woman who had just had her hair greased at the local chippy and then picked up her dangerously obese daughter and grand son.
Fiona L: Nice clean pool, friendly staff. Lockers need round trolley coin or old £1 coin. Free parking. Showers are VERY hot and at moment some aren’t working in Ladies shower area. Overall I really like the pool and would have given 5* but showers let it down a bit. Membership very good value, only £24 month and as I swim at least 4 times a week well worth it.
goneforapee: Lane swimming . Book in advance to get a time slot & it seems to be a great idea . You can try each slot & see which one works best for you . Buy a life card & go swimming for less than 4 quid . Recommended.
Lauren Machin: Constantly cancel swimming lessons and offer no refund. You pay upfront but don't get it back. 2 out of 4 lessons I have paid for this month has been cancelled already, let's see if the next 2 get cancelled aswel!

GLEN In Sheffield: Concorde Sports Centre gym: New this week to the gym at Concorde. Presently concentrating on Cardiovascular and core, with a few weights thrown in too. Pretty good set-up at Concorde, although it would seem most customers are so focused there is no time to acknowledge anyone, which some may find to be a challenge. Usually manage a quick chat / thumbs up if you're lucky. Staff are attentative and willing to assist. Hygiene is of a high standard too, with all the equipment regularly cleaned. Unfortunately, there are some guys in the changing room and showers who discard paper, empty containers on the floor. There is a bin in there, so no excuse. Yes, impressed with the venue, we all need to look after it and treat the hard working staff there respectfully.
Errol Mustafa: I train here 6 days a week. Gym is never top crowded and it doesn't have a bunch of instafags taking photos in the gym constantly. Swimming pool is clean and the showers are amazing. I don't even bother to shower at home much anymore as I prefer the gym showers. Only marking it a star down as it could do with some longer opening hours at the weekend.

John Brookes: To call this a recreation ground is a bit of an exaggeration - it has a couple of football pitches and a bowling green. The car park is usually locked, but the ground is well used by dog walkers and people using Concord sports centre who walk through it.
