They arrived on time, got straight to it and barely stopped all day! Fal Google: Amazing service from Neil, Akeel and Cade moving from Sheffield to the South West yesterday. The team arrived promptly and loaded the van in record time. I received invaluable advice on preparing furniture for moving. Unloading was similarly efficient with items organised by frequency of access quite helpful after a tiring move. Matt Lane: I couldn’t recommend Ravenhill Removals more! I used them recently to move house from Sheffield to York and they couldn’t have made it easier. The price was excellent value compared to other quotes I’d received and they were very responsive in confirming dates/times etc. On the day Aaron arrived early and was extremely friendly all the way through the shift. He helped with all the heavy lifting and moving and was able to advise on the order and way to pack things into the van in the most efficient and safest way. Thanks Aaron! You made what could have been a stressful day not stressful at all.

Mark Crossland: Ravenhill Removals were fantastic in helping move my disabled sister and brother-in-law this week. Joe Palmer: Highly professional and efficient. Hallam removals performed all packing of our belongings the day prior to moving, the guys were very friendly were sure to ask questions if unsure of anything. Items were packed extremely well. On the day of the move everything was loaded into two vans very quickly and taken to our new home. Unloading was equally efficient. An excellent service all round. Thanks so much!

Special shout out to Becca who juggled all the jobs so we could get moved on the day we asked for and to John who managed our crew brilliantly. We payed extra to have them pack for us and it was so worth it. They took extra care over all our property and everything arrived intact. All with a smile on their faces, even at they end of a really flipping long day. As a side note I’m a teacher and it’s wonderful to see someone take time to train and support their younger employees, john was fab at this.

The men were all friendly and pleasant and, most importantly, always took care in the way they handled our things - from small and delicate to extremely awkward and heavy. Andy Atkin: Hallam did a house move for me. They arrived on time, laid sheeting through the house to protect the carpets for my buyers and had the van packed and ready in two hours. Once I got the keys they were waiting on the driveway of my new house. Put everything where I wanted it and nothing was damaged.

andrew bacon: Very professional and efficient Very large house move over 4 days. Competitive quote and able to accommodate the short notice move. The guys arrived on time or early everyday and worked hard all day. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything ran like clockwork. Bernadette Warrilow: We moved from Yorkshire to Devon last October. The 2 gentlemen that arrived on day 1 were with us on time. The vehicle was well presented and immaculate. Dr Kamran Asghar Shaikh: Excellent service Excellent service. 5 stars. Moved our luggage internationally from the UK to Ireland. No damage happened. The luggage came in the same container from door to door and the trucks were not changed. There was some delay on behalf of customs but the specialised movers staff worked very hard to get the desired documentation completed ASAP so that the belongings can reach destination safely. The staff in Sheffield were extremely supportive, flexible and accommodating especially Sean who was a great help throughout. Claire Wilson: The guys who moved me and packed for me at Christmas were amazing. Unfortunately several items were damaged and trying to get them repaired has been a nightmare. The extra insurance cost does not cover replacement, so 5 months after I moved I still do not have the repaired set of drawers. When I asked to be reimbursed the company did not get back to me. Christine Crane: We recently used Specialised Movers for our house move after a recommendation by a family member of ours. From the quote through to the house move itself they were professional, accommodating, honest and knowledgeable. The quote was competitive and on the day the 3 men arrived on time. They worked tirelessly, through what was a horrible wet weather day, to ensure that everything was done to our requests and specifications. I really cannot recommend this company highly enough, they took all of the stress out of the moving day itself. Thank you very much.
Georgia Darwin: I used this company after having a quote by Nigel, the owner. His words were, “leave it all to us”. It was horrendous from the get go. Very unprofessional. Took ages to get anything loaded. Marked furniture and made out it had been done before removal. Not enough space quoted and we had to wait for another van. Items lost so we could not re build furniture and still can’t. Then we had damaged items which turns out NOT TO BE INSURED. Avoid like the plague. Service: Local moving
Response: Firstly may I take this opportunity of providing an overview, I personal provided a quotation for this move based on the volume of 2000 cft, (which is a large removal and needed 2 days to carry out) I was told I was "wrong the move was not that big" and was also told the original quotation was too expensive to offer the service required, we then reduced the price based on the belief this volume, and requirements was not as I had originally estimated, the move date was moved 3 times and it was imperative we needed 3 of smaller vehicles, at no time was there a wait, even due to access problems on delivery (2000 cft as I had estimated) , we offered a dismantling service as additional service and this was declined, we offered extended liability insurance cover at 10% of removal cost which was declined but the move was covered by BAR terms and conditions approved by trading standards (probably better cover than most movers offer) we still carried out the move for the lower price we quoted over 2 days as we estimated originally and no additional charges were made, within this move a Dressing table and Stools was damaged, and noted which we totally regret, we passed this to our insurers who offered £80, (albeit insurance cover was not accepted, as most moves can be covered by the household policy) but this was declined, and as gesture of goodwill we offered, £200 for the uninsured claim which was once again declined, the items missing were the bolts for a cot we did not dismantle and not part of the move, and they will be with the client who dismantled this
Jayne Jinkinson: Excellent service from start to finish by Specialist Movers. Initial contact with receptionist Milly and home visit from Kevin was friendly and positive. Also thank you to Carol who co ordinated our final booking. But most of all we would like to thank our two removal men Craig and Jaimie for their hard work, professionalism and politeness throughout, especially considering the high temperatures of July 2018 that the guys were working in.
David Boyd: Had an appointment for someone to come out and quote. 40 minutes after scheduled appointment still no one had arrived. Contacted company to establish why no one had turned up. Was informed there was sickness which is uncontrollable but all scheduled appointments who were affected should have been contacted!! Due to my experience with the company, I would not use as came across unprofessional and unreliable.

Robert Simpson: Full house move including packing and unpacking service. From 1st contact to completion of the move the service was second to none. This is my 14th move so I have some experience of moving house. Their assessor was very professional Their fees were very good value. Their office staff were extremely helpful and the packing and unpacking team were brilliant.

Matthew Pegler: We were really careful to fully review and meet three companies in order to select the best company. Clockwork really impressed us at every stage of the process. Their professionalism was clear from the first email and first meeting. They were responsive, knowledgeable and very friendly. We needed to email over the months, and every time, their replies were prompt, reassuring and helpful. I used them for boxes and bubble wrap too. They were competitive in this regard as well. The removal team were excellent. Removal day was totally stress free for us. We were so impressed. As part of our deal, we used their storage facility. This is great value and our removal package meant we have a two stage moving process while we wait for the date to move into our new home. As with all companies, it’s not always crystal clear when it comes to insurance. Read the fine print. Insurance for us would be a waste of money as the boxes are only insured if you pay for the packing service. If you pack your own boxes, the insurance isn’t valid even if you pay for it. I felt this information was never forthcoming. I had to ask for it to be made crystal clear several times. A basic £40 per box (regardless of contents) is the only cover you’d get if it was proved there was deliberate negligence during the move (e.g dropping a box and stamping on it - not accidents!) I assume all companies are happy to sell it knowing most customers won’t necessarily realise it is pointless if you pack boxes yourselves. We saved ourselves money by not paying for something we weren’t entitled to. We fully recommend Clockwork. We would use them if we needed to move again and we’d certainly encourage our friends to choose Clockwork. We really trust them.
