Wyming Brook Farm Campsite: what do users think?

Andrew Stott: Perfect site in beautiful location. Immaculately maintained. We really enjoyed our visit here. Walked to Redmires reservoirs and also down through Wyming nature reserve to Rivelin dam. Well placed for a short drive into Sheffield city centre too.

Ryan Jamieson: Lovely little coffee kiosk, looking at the fields. Enjoyed a hot chocolate there.

Peter G: Nice site. Cafe with cakes at the weekend. Great for local walks

Ruud Smit: Beautifull spot. Very hospitable. No shower, that is little bit to bad.

Margaret Beckett: We were on a round walk starting at the car park back of the Sportsman pub. It goes on a waterway path and comes out across the road from Wyming Brook Farm turning right joins Redmires road back to the car park. The Farm always looks interesting and off course has a Caravan Club site which always has Caravans on it especially in the school holidays, a good place for access to lots of lovely walks.

geoffrey lund: Good coffee. Nice to sit out in the sun.

Ian Warwick: Visit the café for great coffee, and, lovely home made cakes and savouries (weekends only 👍).

Chris Morris: Every time I pass this farm, roughly half way through my run, I stop and think - what a lovely farm.

Dianne Taylor: Excellent farm, excellent people, what more can you want? Great place x
Dave Tierney: Great little campsite lovely setting couldn’t fault. Great for meeting family living in Sheffield.
James Morphet: Great stay for just a Saturday night away with my mate. Great advance email detailing everything needed and easy payment via a post box. Lovely walks around the reservoir and through the gorge. Two good pubs within walking distance too. Blue Moo cafe was also serving coffee and cakes onsite for walkers. Massive massive win.
Moni X: Na tej farmie można napić się kawy czy gorącej czekolady i zjeść pyszne, malinowe brownie.
Andrew Stott: Perfect site in beautiful location. Immaculately maintained. We really enjoyed our visit here. Walked to Redmires reservoirs and also down through Wyming nature reserve to Rivelin dam. Well placed for a short drive into Sheffield city centre too.
Joe: Brilliant place lovely would recommend 100%
Richard Yeomanson: Very good..don't follow satnav!
Joel Blomfield: Farmer is very rude
Ali Hameed: Stunning view and beautiful scenery

Waleswood Caravan & Camping Park: what do users think?

Witia Klimky: Fantastic site! Huge caravan pitches. Most fully serviced and electric. Good facilities, walking distance down to the lakes. Nice walks, bike ways and water sports to enjoy around the site. Nice restaurant on site and playground for children.

chris upex: We had a really great time at this site. Reception area is integrated with cafe that serves alcohol and a selection of basic essentials at really reasonable prices. There is a seating area outside with nice views and then a kids play area as well as table tennis and fussball. The showers and toilet areas are amazing and seemed very clean even well after cleaning time in the morning. Pitches are close together, no fires are allowed, people did adhere to the no loud music after 11 rule which I thought was strict but actually appreciated. Its about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the lake, you can drive and pay parking though. Games and books in the cage to use and they will chuck your freezer blocks in freezer for you. Lots and lots of wasps, take a zapper....

Fiona Lovelace: Great family orientated campsite. Fabulous views of the surrounding area.Large flat pitches and modern, comfortable shower block. Pleasant licensed cafe with excellent views over the lake. A great place for families to go back to to relax in after the days activities.

Jackie Stones: Easy to book on line. Friendly welcome, immaculate facilities. Big pitches but can be expensive in high season. Perfect position for walking to County Park, Gullivers and Golf Course. Cafe/bar area with great views. Lots of cycle routes from the site.

Elizabeth Hoult: Excellent campsite. Good facilities well maintained. Reasonable prices in the cafe. Beautiful walks straight from campsite. Only suggestion, in Rother Valley itself there are display boards showing the main paths. It would be great if one of these could be put up by the campsite.

Jacqueline Jobes: Lovely caravan park, facilities 1st class, spotlessly clean. Good sized pitches. Stayed 6 nights Mon-Sun very quiet until Friday then filled up. Staff are so helpful and everyone we spoke to was very friendly and polite. Reception/ bar/cafe was great, bacon sandwiches absolutely lovely and reasonably priced. Couple of early night drinks again very reasonably priced. Fish and chips from van on Friday night were really nice, and had quite a few choices I especially liked the option of small portions.. Nice walk down to Rother Valley Country Park which we thoroughly enjoyed, bar at water park end of lake was great sat and had a drink and enjoyed watching water sports.. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Great stay over site 2 mins from M1

Karolyn Gamble: We had our first stay here in August 2022, having visited Rother Valley Country Park many times before and loving the area. This campsite is absolutely fantastic, great location, great views, clean, light, spacious facilities and brilliant staff all made for a great stay. We will definitely be back 🏕️😁
Matthew Kelley: Just spent 4 days here and I cannot fault the site. It is really well set up with huge pitches. This site has the best toilet facilities of any site I have been to. Big family bathrooms, one even has a bath. They were spotless as well. The site has a nice coffee shop which is also licensed. There is a decent play area for the small ones. The site has excellent views of the valley and is only a 15minute walk down to the lake. The WIFI was also amazing, managed to get the chrome cast working on the tv for streaming Netflix. The site was really easy to get to, no small roads to come down and only a short distance from the M1.
John Cottingham: Absolutely a great caravan site located smack next to Rother Valley Country Park...Well, it's worth a visit with a great little coffee shop which you can get a beer at.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Anthony Deakin: Such a lovely campsite, great bar on site and friendly staff, one minor complaint, the showers are far too hot.
Lindsay Faulkner: Returned for a second visit. Absolutely love this campsite. The pitches are enormous, the facilities are huge, spotless and modern. Will be definitely coming regularly.
John Blizard: Caravan site
Steve Niblett: Refused same day booking for 1 night when we arrived at the site with our camper van. Advised over the intercom so didn’t even gain access to speak to them face to face! Poor service for a touring site when your travelling and don’t wish to make advanced plans.
natasha eardley: What an amazing site! Large pitches, fantastic shower facilities, clean bin area etc and a lovely cafe/bar with lots of outside area. Short nice walk down to Rothervalley and amazing views. The only thing that could make this site any better would be a dog shower area and a few dog bins scattered about. One of the best sites we have stopped on, re booked for July.Perfect x
Jane Moore: fab site, was very wet and windy, but still enjoyed it,lovley family space with cafe, bar,and games for the kids.staff are brilliant 👏 can't do enough for you .wonderfull sunrise and sunsets.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Mark Nevin: Great site spotless toilets showers cafe great walks are amazing if I had anything to complain about . Mirrors in toilets should be put on the side walls so when shaving you don’t have to kneel downService: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rhonda Richardson: Facilities second to none. Toilets and showers always spotless. Reasonably priced large and level pitches. Free excellent wi fi connection. Friendly and helpful staff. Views of Rother Valley Country Park which is a short walk down a hill from site. Definitely recommend and we will return.
Marc: Its a lovely campsite and the pitch was great. There were plenty of facilities and a cracking licenced cafe.It was well located for a walk to rother valley country park though it is up a step hill.We will definately be back.

Rother Valley Country Park: what do users think?

tse13012: Great park with plenty of parking and a wide variety of activities for the whole family. We went there during the bank holiday Monday and rented some bikes to ride around the lake. A bit busy around the car park but as soon as you get pass it’s quite a pleasant route to cycle. After our bike ride, we returned the bikes and moved our car nearer to the lake and setup a picnic on the green next to the lake and a group of ducks swam by so we ended up feeding them. Very nice little break.

Joanne Boot: We go here regularly and really enjoy. We have a van so park on grass overlooking lake . The facilities are really good whether hiring bikes or boats or doing watersports. There is plenty to do and the walk around the lake is lovely. Also dog friendly Playground: Play area does let the park down a little as no much on it Restrooms: The toilets are basic but ok

Phil Bates: Was a lovely day out. Went on the boats and canoes. Weather was great so that helped. Clean park with kids to do. Nice walks around the lake if your not feeling energetic. Cafe is good with nice hot food

Daniel Cooper: Fantastic walk. Parking is charged by registration recognition camara. Lovey cafe that sells a good mix of foods as to he expected at a cafe. Very good value I felt. We went after a rainy day the path was ok for a push chair. Some sections are a little "bobbly" but we had no problem. Loads of wildlife to see. Everybody was friendly plenty of dog walkers and cyclists. Very clean.

Vee Dubya: This is a pleasant spot for a nice walk. The parking is paid for by the hour and works on a registration plate scanning system so you can pay by car on the way out or at the various pay points dotted around. Nice cafe, toilets and a dog friendly place to go inside as well.

Matthew Illman: Absolutely love this place, I paddle board here at every chance I get.Simply turn up, pay, and off you go (as long as you have a PFD).Beautiful location and amazing little cafe to grab a coffee and Cornish pasties after being on the water for a few hours.
Alan Mosley: Good day out
Lara B: I love coming here half an hour drive for a lovely walk. 😍
David Gresham: A great place for a walk.
Chris Tillery: Nice park with lots to do for the kids. It does get busy but it’s worth a visit. There’s a cafe, kids playground, water sports and cable boarding.
Paul Adkin: We have regular VW meets here and love it
Mel Stead: Great place for a buggy friendly walk. Good paths and well kept place. Lots to do for all. Enjoyed it so much been 3 times in the last month.
Daniel Gregory: Lovely walk around just really really busy.
Loulou Gregory: Great place, paddle boarding ace time.. free parking for us too as not functional so us point there too.
Michael Abbott: Great for walking or biking with MTB park.
Dawn Fieldhouse: Love this place. Its my thinking space.Lovely walk to get steps in .And the grandkids love it .
Robin Wong: A park provides multiple events
Richard Tinkler: Great for days out walking, cycling or water sports, and the caravan site (waleswood) always a must if you have a caravan
Aimee Louise: Beautiful country park who seem to be really invested in Rother Valley parkrun which was absolutely lovely. Toilets and cafe clean and smelled delicious 😋
John Cottingham: Great place and well worth a visit.
Jessica Wilson (sheaf_foodies): Lovely park , especially lake and visitor area with pretty mill and river , willow tree etc cafe and bathrooms, also under cover picnic area . Great for dog walks.
michael _speed_84: Lovely walk, cheap parking. Please watch where you park as narrow roadsPlayground: 6 out of 10 for park but perfect for a ten mins run around after having a ice cream.Restrooms: Near by easy to get to.Dog-friendliness: Loads of dogs, some off lead, wasn't any issues at all.Picnic area: Loads of seats as you walk round, not many bins . Loads of areas to lay on grass.
Asal Mohamadian: It is a beautiful place, best place for relaxing and enjoying natureIt also has some water sports for entertaining
Ian Doy: Great place, but a lot of the path that goes round it, is very difficult for disabled people with walking aids. Would be nice if it was all properly surfaced.
John Keller: Great day at cable.waterski.park
Lynx E: My usual great experience
Dafydd R: My first time here and what a joy to walk around. All the park was clean and no litter at all .The only shame is the pricing of the cafés and the ice-cream van... £13.00 for 2 🍦.. a total rip off!

North Lees Campsite: what do users think?

Stacey Dixon: A great little campsite, just up the road from Hathersage and a short walk up to Stanage Edge. The shower and toilet block are basic, but fine, and the pitching areas are on a slight hill, so drainage is not too bad.

Philip George: Called in while walking in area to check it out for later stay. Spoke at length to very friendly and informative Ranger in charge. Left with good. Impression of the place and rates very good for solo hikers £8.50 with £1 reduction if you travel to the area by public transport. Only 35minutes walk from Hathersage train stn. Noted some of the site has a slight slope so area apears quite large but not all grass area suited to tents.

Nathan McNulty: Lovely campsite will definitely revisit. They have a 7.4kW EV charger that’s not listed anywhere!!! Shhh… To use the EV Charger simply plug in and start charging. To pay: head to the shop and tell them how much an equivalent charge would’ve cost you at home and they will charge your card!

Rhys Beard: The site is small, but cosy. The ground isn’t always even, but if you look for the right spots it can be great! They have running water, toilets and a shower. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of birds, as well as the occasional frog. What more can you ask for?
Jonathan Wood: The parking is horrendous, the bays are barely big enough for a small car and I and many others were called multiple times to move our cars 2inch so other people could park. Absolute jokeRooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Debbie Woodliffe: North Lees is ideally located as a base point for walks in the peaks. It's a very basic site, non-electric camping with some campervan spots, slightly sloping fields surrounded by trees in a valley, so it's quiet and you can hear all the birds. There is a small freezer for ice packs in the drying room (where you can use the dryer and hang things), two sinks for washing up and drinking water and the toilets. There are 3 toilets cubicles in the ladies and 2 push start showers. During and after someone is showering, the entire room gets condensed - so watch out for wet arms from wall touching. There's only 1 hook in the shower for your things alongside a small wall basket for your toiletries. Another hook in there may be handy to avoid wet clothing/towels.The car parking spaces are not next to your tent, they are localised in the drive and numbered, so there can be a trek to and from your car, though they do provide wheelbarrows to carry your items and minimise the trips. You are allocated a parking space and the numbering system is there to make sure your space is always for you, though we did find someone in ours when we returned for the night on the 2nd day as they arrived late and did not follow the provided instructions.Would recommend if you're looking for a quiet campsite, but weekends when it's full are very busy and the bathrooms could have been cleaned much more. During the weekdays things remained relatively clean.
Will Anderson: Recently went to North Lees campsite and camped. Newly refurbished toilets and showers. Has on site parking and a small shop. Didn't stay in them but even has some wooden glamping options.Great location and can walk to stanage edge in 30 mins
TheDreamingCat: Nice camp site, good location for surrounding hikes. Facilities are fine. It was pretty muddy when we were there! Staff are friendly and helpful :)
david howells: Good campsite spread over a few fields, we came with a DOE group after a long rainy period so the site was a bit muddy. The bathrooms are okay but a bit small. I think there are only 2/3 toilet cubicles so when it is busy I would imagine it gets busy. Nice location though and a really friendly warden on site.Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Stacey Dixon: A great little campsite, just up the road from Hathersage and a short walk up to Stanage Edge. The shower and toilet block are basic, but fine, and the pitching areas are on a slight hill, so drainage is not too bad.
slaz 15: Back to basics site love it.
Max Jones: Lovely campsite with good facilities. Could do with more picnic benches.
john ward: Camped for 2 night excellent service
garry cullum: Lovely little place.Clean and simple camping....
Michael Sullivan: I love camping here. Absolutely the best place around. Only issue is the newly renovated bathrooms: they're bad. The old ones were great, didn't need changing. There were shelves to put your stuff on, hooks to hang things on, and a rustic, natural brick look to it all.The new ones, all white plastic, no shelves, no hooks (bar one on the back of the door), and no function. The shower curtain is hung so close that the warm air from the shower pulls out inwards so it's constantly sticking to you. The floor floods if you don't have that curtain fixed across the entire space (which most don't it seems, as you always walk into a flooded bathroom). The sealant round the shower tray is already peeling away, so they must have been pretty poor the people who did the work. Would have been better to have left it well alone. But I'm not going to let all that spoil what is always a wonderful camping experience. Staff are friendly and super helpful. Place is always quiet with respectful campers (but I avoid weekends so don't know what they're like).Go stay, you won't regret it
Adam Fisher: North lees is beautiful, tranquil and a home from home for me. But. What have they done to the facilities. Go for the site alone it's worth it, this is a note to national parks UK (if they ever read reviews). The phrase don't fix what isn't broken comes to mind. Since the refurb to the facilities they have essentially broken them. Flooding showers, no shelves or hooks. It's lost all character and is reminiscent to motorway service station toilets. The most insane thing is there are no cold taps so when you brush your teeth you have to use the hot tap. Blehh. It must have been designed by a small child as the outcome is amateur at best. Sort it out national parks UK. The money should have gone into path restoration or something...

Mr Luke Price: Primarily a camping venue offering spaces for tents, caravan's, motorhomes and bespoke on site camping accomodation in the form of bell tents. They also offer on camp entertainment from bingo to themed party nights, weekend festivals and weddings.Facilities are plentiful, many on site portaloos and stocked bars, food stalls etc.A very enjoyable atmosphere in a well maintained outdoor space and indoor marquee tent.Always enjoy my time here.Playground: There are children's playground activities and play areas.Restrooms: On site portaloos.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome if kept under control.Picnic area: Vast green field many areas to picnic.
Martin Pollard: Visited for the fireworks show, and on site it seemed well run with a lot of attractions as well. But the traffic chaos getting in and leaving put a dampner on it. Two large field carparls all trying to leave through the same exit on a wet field led to chaotic scenes. Wish they could have added a second exit somewhere
barry buttle: Everyone was very nice place to go the parking was horrendous other map really good night

Swallowholme Camping & Caravan Park: what do users think?
Paul Betsworth: The new homes that have started to arrive ,are very nice . Lovely and plush inside and outside they blend into the environment very well 👌
Dean: Myself and my girlfriend hired a VW camper van and that’s here over the august bank holiday weekend. Booked it a little short notice and Pam was really helpful and friendly. The campsite is adjacent to a railway line which I was a little concerned about. When we arrived the place was beautiful. The sound of the trains going by really didn’t bother us in the slightest. The place was really clean. Clean toilets and showers and washing up are. Would 100% recommend and will be returning. Thank you Pam.
Clive Jones: I realise that it's not under the campsite's control, but the trains travelling on the bridge overhead were very noisy. Apart from that, quite a pleasant campsite.
Chris Tweddle: Lovely site , great location for walking & riding and showers A++++, however road noise & trains line near by
Mirea Lauria: Fantastic facilities, super accommodating, great value, and friendly staff
John Jackson: Great site in a fantastic part of Derbyshire. Site and facilities exceptionally clean and well maintained. Owner and staff very friendly. Will come again but will need to book well in advance to make sure one of the 12 touring slots will be available. Only able to give one days notice this time. Very lucky and our two nights there were fantastic.
Emma Proctor: Absolutely idyllic setting, well maintained & a very relaxing atmosphere, very decent & friendly owners.
Amy Goodley: Lovely camping site, nice and clean facilties, and not to far away from Bamford
Gaye Alexander: Excellent camping field. Toilet and washing facilities are OK......could do with new locks on toilet doors.
Krix Enikő: Nice staff and convenient location. Facilities were clean. But be aware it is loud. One side you have a busy road and the other side you have the railway. This was our second time staying here.
sue smith: Stayed 3 nights on a grass pitch on the small tourer part of the site. Easy access, well looked after pitches and planting.Friendly owners who allowed us to choose from the pitches available when we arrived ( 7 was good).Perfectly spotless shower block with adequate number of toilets and showers although push button showers annoyingly cold for the first 4 pushes!!Garage with shop within 15 minutes walk and a brilliant location for getting out and about on the train as Bamford Station very near. There are quite a few trains passing very close to the site but we didn't find them obtrusive at all.Loved the area and would definitely stay at this site again. 🙂
James Smith: Great little place for a couple of nights whilst we stayed here in our campervan, centrally based for walking "Bamford Edge, Win Hill, Ladybower Reservoir etc. Lots of great walking/hiking from this campsite. Enjoyed it and will be coming back in the summer
philip mccaskill: Very clean
Terry Collier: Been here several times, will be back next year.Friendly owners. Clean showers, tidy site and good location.
C Gibson: Nice owners and amazing location right next to the rafting centre, with lovely river walks on the doorstep. Good spacing between pitches.
Debbie Murphy: Love this site. 😀 been here numerous times and it's my favourite.its a complete chill and there's some beautiful walks on your doorstep..
Helen Fox: Small motor home park with everything you need. Pitches were a little close together but staff were friendly and it's not over priced.
simon oleary: Been to this campsite 4 times now absolutely love it fantastic location peacfull atmosphere and lovely owners clean and modern facilities just wish there were more weekends we could get away here
Hannah Bray: This is an immaculate campsite in a convenient location. Pam and Graham were really helpful. We didn't notice if trains ran at night- a peaceful night!
Bartlomiej Borkowski: Highly recommended

JC: Great spot and friendly owners.
Mike Dent: Fantastic views and local walks at a brilliant price. Good base to explore stunning scenery and good local pubs.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Les Heath: We stayed for one night in our campervan and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chap who answered the farmhouse door was very friendly, even though I probably interrupted the family dinner, and he directed us to pitch up wherever we liked. The facilities all seemed well presented and tidy and the surrounding views are fantastic. There is a railway running past the top of the site but I reckon the trains must be electric because they were very inobtrusive. We'll definitely be back in the future.Oh and the price, £18 a night, is very reasonable too.
Tracy Wilson: Been 5 times this year all ready it's our favourite campsite in Derbyshire. Surrounded by great walks straight off site pub 5mins away with great food ...15mins walk into hope valley village it's self with everything you want
Simon Howarth: Great place to stay with the motorhome or camp. Good clean facilities and owners are lovely. Great base to got walking and explore the hills and easy walk to Castleton
Tim Foulstone: It is a fairly relaxed campsite catering for backpackers to motor homes. It's relatively inexpensive and well situated for Hope village shops and within range of most of the tourist attractions of the Hope Valley. The scenery around the site is good and services are ok - the toilet block and washing up area is a bit basic but the shower facilities are still more welcoming. I f you like basic but necessary amenities at a fair price and you are not looking to go glamping I would definitely recommend it.Price now £9 per person per night for tent camping w/o electricity.Very dog friendly
Peter Ray: This campsite offers all the facilities one might expect. The excellent showers were clean, and provided reliable hot water, making the camping experience so much more pleasant! It's signposted on the main road, so very easy to find. There's some noise from the railway and from passing traffic, but nothing to spoil a stay here.
Swithun Norman: Good location, easy to find, pub just down the road, good facilities, friendly staff, cheap, lots of space
Tony Tiger Taylor: Tbh, very basic site but did exactly what I needed, Camp, Toilet & a shower 🚿 which we're good. Very good value for what I paid... Defo come back another day/night.🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️👍👍🐯🐯🏕️🏕️
