Pablo Gulzar: very good & quick service. The driver was here within 15 mins. Now that’s fast. & There’s a a lot of choice from cigs Beers, wines & spirits to some good party deals to crates of beers. My favourite is the 5 bottles of wine for £30 offer.

Adrian Necula: Very friendly stuff, well informed, nice to talk with and very helpful.

Nas: Lovely places to visit especially if you enjoy plants.

The Village Green Events Co: what do users think?

Susan Conlan: My husband and I used The Village Green events for our Vow Renewal which we held in our garden in July. Emily and Eamonn listened to our ideas and came up with some of their own too. They organised everything: decorations, including lighting, DJ, food, bar and bar staff. Lovely, hardworking people to work with, nothing was too much trouble. The DJ was amazing, food was perfect. Libby and Lucy did an incredible job serving drinks etc, lovely, pleasant girls with a constant smile on their faces. We had an incredible day and all our guests commented on the décor and service on the day. Thankyou so much Village Green for giving us such a memorable day.

christina clarke: Wow. Where do I start? We have been working with Emily and Eamonn for two years planning our dream Christmas wedding and never did did I imagine it would turn out as perfect as it did. We had been recommended to use them and also seen first hand their work at a friends wedding and we are so glad we followed. Lighting really is everything and the venue, which was already beautiful, looked ten times better once VG had got their hands on it. I felt like I was in a movie. Nothing was too much trouble and from start to finish Emily and the team engaged, listened, advised and helped us bring our vision to life. I could go on and on. If you’re thinking of using an events company for any occasion get in touch with VG for a consultation and sit back as your dreams become a reality! Thanks so much again love Christina and a Ben.

Casey Smith: We used The Village Green Company for our wedding nearly 2 years ago and couldn’t recommend them enough! They work with such professionalism but have that personal touch, working with you closely and listening to what you want/feel, whilst bringing imaginative ideas that you would never have thought would have worked! Our wedding was amazing and I owe that to Claire and her team and their eye for detail and bringing the whole day together!!

Ruth Lauener: Positive: ProfessionalismI was bridesmaid at a wedding organised by these guys and it was GREAT. Lots of beautiful individual touches which made the day perfect.
Josh Burton: The guys at Village Green Events supported us with our wedding day and they didn’t disappoint. Drapes, chairs, tables & tableware, candles & lanterns, blankets and games were what we asked for. Everything was top quality and the guys took all the hassle of organising delivery, install and removal from our venue away. Emily and the team were easy to communicate with and on hand for support and advice during the run up to our day. Whatever event you are looking for support with, we’re sure Village Green Events will be able to help. Cheeeeerrrrssss! Josh & Row x
Jack Mansfield: Superb event planners! We had then for our wedding reception party, which was delayed to out 1st anniversary, so a big event lasting from 3pm til midnight. The two ladies who dealt with us were really personable, positive and helpful (Emily and Claire). They thought of things we hadn't even considered and had a really thorough approach, making sure they got our input at every stage. They also set up all the decor for us and helped manage things on the day. They really took the load for us with suggesting, contacting and negotiating with suppliers. So in the end we had an amazing memorable day, in large part down to Village Green.Would highly recommend!
Elina Thompson: Emily and Claire helped us with our wedding decorations including lots of hire items, set-up and planning. They are true event pro's and just gave us so many ideas that really pulled the vision together. Emily and Claire are also both so lovely and easy to work with and are super responsive and organised - exactly what you need when planning a wedding. Couldn't recommend more and can't wait to go to more events organised by The Village Green Events!
Rachel Mallalieu: My husband and I used Village Green events for our wedding in October 2018. I knew from the start I didn't want an average wedding and Claire and her team did an amazing job in making my ideas a reality. They were so easy to work with, full of great ideas and suggestions for venues and catering, and even put me in touch with a brilliant photographer. We also had them there on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly and my husband and I could relax and enjoy ourselves along with our guests. Absolutely fantastic service, I wish I could do it again.
Ruth Lauener: Positive:ProfessionalismI was bridesmaid at a wedding organised by these guys and it was GREAT. Lots of beautiful individual touches which made the day perfect.

Plot 22: what do users think?

Aziza Jaye: Always such a great vibe! I can go there with any of my friends or even by myself and know I’m gonna enjoy my night. During the day Mike & Adam do amazing work that keeps music and arts in the community. Highly recommend!

XYZ VISION: Community led grassroots venue & studios in the heart of old Sheffield. A wide variety of events, Night and day. Security are respectful and bar staff are lovely. - proper underground creative hub✨

Jaiboi Biscuit: Awesome little venue! Real hidden gem with varied top quality gigs and a super friendly crowd. The people who run it are legends!

Adam Robertshaw: Cool little venue. Very intimate and a bit dingy but with loads of character. Went there for Doomlines IV. The sound was crushing and the crowd got into it.

Diana H: Best music venue in Sheff! Great nights, lovely people & brings the community together ❤️
des bate: A small, independent venue and studios, providing entertainment, support for local charities, aiding in artistic creation and much more. This is an iconic venue and enterprise - it is a friendly, safe space with great people all around - staff, security, patrons, performers. This is a community, a family!
Annabelle Wong: Small and intimate, feels a bit more underground compared to other Sheff venue and the lineups reflect that. Would like a wider drinks menu available at the venue (especially for non-alcoholic options as I don't drink due to medical reasons), but other than that no complaints.
Andrew Wylie: Great place to go out, whatever varied style of music they put on there it's always a fun time, good crowds and very friendly and accommodating staff. Best venue in Sheffield
Ben Pest: Absolute vibes this place!!
Liam Davies: Possibly the best place in Sheffield for good music. The staff are very friendly
Jack Bramwell: class wee venue. cracking system and friendly staff, both bouncers and those working for the venue itself
Diverse Nature & Affiliates: It doesnt get much better than plot 22
Laurence Ellis: What a place... Where to even start - best smoking area in the UK hands down. Once saw a magician chuck a coin through my t shirt and it tripled in size... Where else can you go out for a smoke and get that kind of vibe?? Get yourself down if you want your mind blown, just don't try buy the building like this random guy last week, that was weird... 10/10
Tom Mcwilliams: What a cracking little nightclub! Ran by some genuinely top lads. Would highly recommend, can't wait to go back.
J Topshelf: Amazing space, friendly staff with a special and wholesome community vibe
Jake Kennedy: Incredible venue for those looking for arts, music and culture
Aziza Jaye: Always such a great vibe! I can go there with any of my friends or even by myself and know I’m gonna enjoy my night.During the day Mike & Adam do amazing work that keeps music and arts in the community.Highly recommend!
James Ferretti: Very cool little club, good vibes all round from the door staff to the patrons. A very DIY feel and gives the impression of "here today gone tomorrow" perhaps that isn't actually true but it adds to the atmosphere. The sound was very good, nice and clear, if anything I'd say it could be a little louder but I appreciate them focussing on quality for sure.
Marta Aleksinska: The bouncer at the door (Mike) and (Ben) are absolutely legends especially Mike- give this man a pay rise
Jessica Wilson (sheaf_foodies): We love plot , a real hidden gem. A bit rough and ready little club space , covered in art work with a real community feel.
Jamie Pitcher - Conway: Nothing but good vibes in this place.
Essie Taffy: A nice chill spot merging nightlife with social awareness through urban art and diversely cultured fun lovers - mingling and sharing their experiences: outside Plot 22 or inside the spot... its a 10 out of 5 for me. Best EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Bryn Allen: Great atmosphere and vibe, big love to wubclub ❤️

Sheffield City Hall: what do users think?

Peter Moran: Probably THE last tour that my all time favourite live band, The Stranglers, will be doing. Got front row centre stage tickets and sang my heart out to every song. City Hall has amazing acoustics and is only a tram ride from home to boot.

derek milne: First visit, great venue, outstanding decor. First class workmanship, not as you get nowadays. First class customer service when dealing with medical condition. Cannot thank staff enough for looking after us. The Proclaimers were amazing, great sound which reverberated around the hall beautifully. I would give 10 stars if I could Will definitely return to this intimate venue

Pale Chick: Came for a comedy gig, which was great. The building itself was easy to find, right in the centre. We walked but you could just as easily drive, bus or tram it there. Beautiful interior and all the amenities needed.

The Gray Man: Visited this venue to see James Martin. The staff were friendly and professional.Excellent lighting and sound system made for a thrilling experience.Well thought-out seating made for easy viewing.

Debi O'Callaghan: Another great evening watching live music. James Morrison was brilliant. Great seats, lovely building, plenty of toilets and bars to help with the queues.

Laura Heyes: Great venue to see “we will rock you” amazing sound and the show and cast were fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful on arrival and quick to get everyone scanned in and to there seats but I did feel like I was being watched from every angle during the show and lots of the staff “on the doors” spent there time shuffling around and not being so discrete which distracted slightly from what was happening on the stage. Maybe reduce the amount of staff in the auditorium during the performance? The only other negative was the theatre was freezing cold..and we were glad we took hoodies to keep warm!

Darren Lightfoot: We went to see Heaven 17 at the City Hall. I believe it really has just opened after the pandemic. This is a beautiful building inside and out, with a large seated and tiered traditionally shaped auditorium. The sound was excellent! The building was spotless and comfortable, including the conveniences. The bar was quick to serve and sold all the usual soft drinks, beers and wines. What made a difference for me was how the security and service staff managed the evening. It was perfect. We felt safe, comfortable and not cajoled or forced in any way. The security was tight, checking both your covid state and your entry tickets. It made a big difference to the feel of the place as the staff were efficient, very pleasant and in no way officious. We had a great experience!

Charles Bowman: Well organised small venue, the bar is wildly overpriced. Bring your own.Car parking is easy, I used the qPark at Rockingham Street.Nothing to complain about, except the poor comedy!

The Chimney House: what do users think?
clare plant: Fabulous venue, we had our Christmas party here in December 2022. A great experience from start to finish, welcome cocktails, a delicious meal, friendly attentive but not overbearing staff. Only neutral feedback was to get a few more roast potatoes but only because they were so tasty! We will be back
Jane Axell: Attended a wedding here. So lucky to get a beautiful sunny day. I loved the red brick of the Chimney House and the interior design was subtle, stylish and well thought out. We had to climb some steep stairs to the wedding room.
Emily Kay: From the minute I saw photos of the Chimney House, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. I love the industrial look it has and how it offered an intimate, but relaxed feeling to our ceremony. The location is great for photos and for guests to get a quick drink beforehand. The staff are so professional and generally just lovely to interact with. I would not think twice about promoting it to others!
Lee Calcutt-Scott: The Chimney House is a beautiful venue with an industrial style in lovely surroundings, it's perfect for a small wedding and we had an awesome day. The staff were brilliant and attentive. The food was fantastic and all our guests raved about it. It's not perfect however. There's no AC, so I wouldn't recommend a summer wedding. It was around 19c when we got married in September and I was wearing a 3 peice suit, it was not comfortable. Even with the windows open, all our guests, including my now wife, were commenting on it being too hot inside the venue. I was dripping with sweat by the end of the ceremony!I would have also liked the food to be hotter. While it was really fantastic food, it was tepid. It was not cooked on site, but should've been served on a bain-marie or similar, to keep it warm. The desserts though, were delicious, all our guests loved the basque cheesecake. The biggest downside was the amount of food wasted. We hoped to take the leftovers home, as there was quite a lot. Unfortunately the T&Cs state that we were not allowed to take the leftovers home. Please read the T&Cs thoroughly, as we did not, our fault. I hope all that food wasn't just thrown away, such a waste of lovely food!Overall, we did have an amazing day and I'm glad we chose The Chimney House. Don't let my negative comments put you off. I'm just giving an honest account but wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue.
Tania Umoh: Beautiful venue, with very delicious food!
Elaine Balfry: Amazing food, attentive service, beautifully decorated venue to suit the occasion.
Dave Smithers: Lovely venue for a wedding in the grounds of the kelham island museum , close to the famous fat cat pub , staff are very attentive and the old industrial feel of the building only lends itself to the ambience of this space ,
Chloe McMackin: Had a fantastic event here for my 30th birthday. The staff were really helpful and organised in the run up, and on the night. The food was delicious and everyone commented on what a lovely and unique setting it was. It was definitely a memorable evening!
Joseph Tomkins: We couldn’t have picked a better venue. Cosy and intimate, perfect for a smaller ceremony with close friends and family. We let the venue organise flowers, and we matched them (from Moss and Clover Kelham), the food was amazing and the service on the day was great.Lucy was so accommodating moving our date around due to the pandemic and made everything so stress free, thank you all again so much - highly recommended!
Paul Joseph Photography: We have not had the chance to say how amazing The Chimney House Venue is. We shot a gorgeous wedding back in 2017. The venue looked amazing, the staff and the food were also fantastic. We do hope we can return again one day soon.
Daniel Jackson: Great place for a meeting. Location is spot on if you wanted a pint after. Unfortunately due to covid that was not possible 😭
ben ashton: This is an amazing venue for a wedding Ceremony. Me and my wife cannot thank the staff enough for making it a memorable day! every guest loved the venue. Thank you for great memories!!!
Grace Thomas: A wonderful evening, food amazing, service brilliant and ambience just right.
Philip Bradley: amazing space. very well thought out
Jordan Gor: I can't speak highly enough of this venue and the wonderful staff that run it! Kirstin was super helpful from the outset, making the whole booking and planning process super easy and straightforward for our wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and well kept, making the perfect backdrop for any event - minimal decoration required in this stunning building. We were looked after so well on the day by Kirstin and Hannah that so many of our guests commented on the great service. We left the evening feeling so grateful that they had gone above and beyond to look after us and make the day so special for us; setting it up perfectly and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Thank you, The Chimney House, for such a wonderful day!
Caroline Thorpe: HiThankyou for a lovely evening at your venue where we were celebrating our niece's wedding.Your staff Kirsten and Hannah were excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we well looked after. We are not from Sheffield but if we were we would certainly recommend you to our friends and familyThank you againKind regardsCaroline Thorpe
Richard Sedgley: This was my first visit to The Chimney House and we'll be going back.We chose to have our office Christmas party here and we were not disappointed. All of the food was great; with every course the staff explained what was what. All the food was served on platters to the centre of the table. For want of a better term, it was a posh buffet but don't let that take away from how good it was.The venue asked us to supply our drinks and they chilled and served them for us. This seemed to work well & we were never wanting for service. All staff where polite & friendly. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll be going back!
Ian&Lisa: The venue is fit for purpose but nothing special, plus it has no parking, hence 3 stars.
Tom Barney: The Chimney House was recommended to me as a meeting place by a former colleague, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s an incredible space and benefits from an excellent location in Kelham Island. (Not just for post meeting drinks!)From making the initial enquiry, Kirstin was a joy to deal with. She made it very clear that nothing was too much work and really went the extra mile by sourcing (and personally icing) birthday cakes for two of our team. Whilst I’m on the subject, the food was excellent and the flexibility that we were allowed around timings was greatly appreciated. The team looked after us superbly, ensuring that we wanted for nothing. I look forward to the next opportunity to come to the Chimney House and will be recommending it to friends and colleagues alike.
Fiona Cooper: Gorgeous venue, in a beautiful setting with the most friendly staff. Would recommend this place a hundred times over!
J C: Last Sunday (26th May 2013) our family and friends shared a brilliant afternoon celebrating with us our 50th wedding anniversary at The Chimney House. We have nothing but praise for the venue as everything; the ambiance, the food, the staff, were excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, a day to remember.A very big thank you to ALL the staff.

The Leadmill: what do users think?
Mallard 4468: Had a few good nights here
Ian Massey: Great venue, decent selection of drinks, staff were friendly
Glynn: Overall a very good venue. However I went to see a comedy show the other night and there wasn't enough leg room at all. My thighs were really aching and by the time it finished my legs were hurting and couldn't wait to stand up, felt like standing up but didn't want the comedian saying something so I felt I had to keep sat still, with me being tall I need more leg room and unless the chairs get to be more spaced out between the rows in future I honestly wouldn't want to go again. My mate said his legs were aching and not as tall as me, so something has to be done. However this is an overall rating as I've enjoyed seeing a few bands in the past here standing. Staff always seem friendly.
James: Bar staff friendly. Good music. Also found the security staff good. Let people get on with their night which was great
Samantha Frickleton: Made a special trip to Sheffield to go to see music at the Leadmill. Amazing venue. Show was sold out but there was plenty of room so as not to feel hemmed in. Felt really safe in the venue. Friendly staff, good sound quality and clean toilets. What more could you want?
Jamie Johnson: Went to see Hannah grae and James Marriott, loved the music and there was loads of room.
Kayla: Really great venue, just a shame the woman running the cloakroom was rude- rolling eyes and huffing and puffing.
Hannah Baines: Faulty ticket - usually have a great time with no difficulty getting in but last time i went they claimed my ticket had already been used 30 minutes earlier (i hadnt sent it to anyone so there is no way this could have happened) and when i showed the guy that it was my name on the ticket he didnt care and just told me wait behind a barrier where no one came to speak to me about it, essentially just leaving me (18F) on my own outside due to a fault in their system. Made me uncomfortable with how i was treated or may be treated again if i go back.
JSB 1: Went 27/1/23 around 11ish, they didn’t accept mine and my mates ticket code and we had to wait other side of the road for over 1 hour before security let 100 plus in. Once in it was all great experience but security needs to do better getting people in as a lot in the queue either tried sneaking in or just started leaving. The men’s restroom at 4am with the 2 security guards trying to break down one of the cubicle doors was pretty good end to my first night out in Sheffield! 😂
Callum Berry: Venue was fine, bar staff friendly. Although, rude and threatening behaviour from the door staff, clearly looking for trouble where there is none. The sort that give doormen a bad name.
Julie Cole: Fantastic venue, great sound/lights, city centre location so parking not great but close to train station and bus routes, please support this venue 😊
Colin Pratt: A fantastic venue. Nice door and bar staff and a good selection of beers. Gets pretty full but it has good wide viewing area. I loved it
Emma Though: My favourite nightclub
D Mark Antrobus: By far the best night out and club in Sheffield, also they don’t rip you of with the drinks. Sensible money.
E. Lewin: Great sheffield night club and live music/comedy venue. Great staff.
Owen Brown: As with any night at the Leadmill, my night seeing Amyl and The Sniffers was amazing, but this was extra special.I had been due to see them in Liverpool (The Leadmill sold out so quickly) with my daughter (her favourite band). However when tour dates were altered it became apparent we couldn't. My daughter is being treated for anorexia and Amyl in Liverpool was a focal point for getting to a healthy weight, which would mean she could attend the gig. Sadly, the changed date was to early. I contacted the Leadmill who went out of their way to help and put us on the guest list. The night was amazing and it gave my daughter a huge boost and was a really important marker in her treatment. The Leadmill has once again proven itself to be more than just a venue. It is Sheffield and we can't let it go.Thank you to everyone at The Leadmill for what you did for my daughter, the gig will live long in her memory, but not as long as your gesture will in mine.A truly amazing venue and staff.
Ruurd Edens: great venue. no cloakroom though.
Heather C: Overcrowding took away the enjoyment of the evening (26/11/22) being shoved all night as people tried to make a path through to the bar or toilets. Didn't feel safe.
Paes Pal: The money drop night is a borderline scam. They claimed to drop 1.5k yet had about 25 balloons mostly containing fivers (think a couple tenners) each. Asked a worker and he was sceptical about the whole thing himself? Me and my friend paid for tickets specifically for this event so complete waste of money. False advertising isn't a good look..
hannah hallas: Please don’t shut the leadmill it’s a sheffield gem!
Jem Alexander: Dont go on a Saturday, pained looks on people's faces because the music mannn.
