Stuart managed to get the sprayer working again within 30 minutes and I was back at work spraying. Very happy with the service!

craig wilcock: What can I say about this place. Absolute fantastic staff especially the guy that repaired my spray machine there and then while I grabbed myself a sandwich. Been here a few times now for repairs and won't go anywhere else. If it wasn't for these guys I wouldn't be spraying this week at all. A few hundred quid lighter in the old sky rocket but one very happy customer.Thankyou 🙏🙏

Jill Ford: I would never recommend buying Farrow and Ball paint without some expert guidance, whilst the paint isn't cheap, it's worth every penny, though a mistake would be expensive!. I've decorated all my home bar 2 rooms with this, - I usually turn up here with a few ideas/photos/fabric swatches, and Silvia and Peter make suggestions based on room size/light/accessories, and loads of other aspects I'd never have thought of. Every result has been a delight, - very durable, looks good after 8 years, and had loads of compliments. Can't stress enough , don't go it alone with this paint, - this shop is a pleasure to visit, - oh and their prices are lower than B and Q, don't compromise!

So helpful when trying to match paint colours, patient when I’m dithering, and kind when I have a sleeping baby in the car (on a quiet day they took my order on the phone and brought the paint and card reader out to the car outside so that I didn’t have to wake my baby up!) Also have huge tester pots for the same price as smaller ones at chain DIY shops, so that it can be enough for a small project by itself.

The cash and carry of the DIY world, but the products are good and the prices are competitive. Word of warning though, despite what is says over the door, they don't sell wicks.

Craig Saywell: I've been using Crown paints nunnery drive for years and I've always been very satisfied with the products and the service especially at the moment the staff cannot do enough for you but I must single Helen out as she really does go the extra mile and if I was to single out a paint product that I would recommend to anyone it would be clean extreme as the name suggests it really can be cleaned believe me it's no gimmick as some of these products often are, well done Crown 👍
Tom Mann: I've used the mixing services here twice and been very impressed with both the product itself and also faultless customer service. Last time the chap who served me couldn't do enough. He genuinely seemed to care I was happy with the end result.The first time they colour matched me a tile and existing paint from a different brand. Both executed perfectly.The quality of the paint is thick with high opacity and goes on easily. Lovely finish.

Store refusing to help, claims it’s out of their hands. Customer services refusing to help, they claim it’s up to the store to deal with.Told to contact customer relations for compensation but that’s not going to fix my tap.They seem to specialise in passing the buck…. After taking your money in the blink of an eye of course!Substandard goods and service.

Nixi V: Staff were friendly & helpful. The room was spacious & the bed very comfortable. We were given the overnight stay with spa access as a gift, so overall experience was lovely but the treatments were all booked & this wasn't detailed on the voucher, as we would have prebooked, so we only used the basic facilities, which were pleasant but not overwhelming & clearer signage would've been good. The breakfast was delicious & lots of choice, although the machine coffee was disappointing. The biggest let down was the evening meal. The food had flavour but appeared to be from the freezer & the chips were undercooked.

Ana-maria Croke: It really is such a great shame that this hotel has the most dated rooms. The bed linens are worn, the protectors are too small for the beds, the bathrooms are clean but shocking for the calibre of this hotel. Room service is awful and doesn't operate after 9pm. TV in my room too small for the room and if you wanted to change channel you had to get up to do so as the control didn't have the capability to cope with the distance. The hotel is in desperate need of a refurb. I have stayed twice and I absolutely will not stay again guests deserve better and so do the staff, they are all delightful and helpful but they should have somewhere better to work..

Linzi Haughton: We have been looking forward to this trip away since Xmas. First night away from the kids in months and we were bitterly disappointed!!I applied for an upgrade and the room we wanted wasn't available so I called the hotel a week before to see what my options were. The guy I spoke to said we had been placed in a privilege room which had a bigger bed and soft drinks. I asked the cost of this and he said we had been upgraded for free.When we arrived not only was our room not ready at 3pm but we were told there was an extra charge. I asked why and was told because of the upgrade. I explained the situation and the receptionist basically shrugged her shoulders and asked if we would like to have our original room (no upgrade).When we finally got in the room we had no welcome letter, no menu,no do not not disturb sign (as stated on the wall) .Spa - reception told us to get robes from the spa, spa told us to go to reception. Facilities for the cost were pretty poor. 2nd day again we asked for robes and this time we were told we had to pay for them!Upon returning to the hotel after the theatre we were hungry as hadn't eaten. Asked advice from the receptionist who could only recommend McDonald's.The barman also told me they wouldn't do room service (for drinks) at that time 11.30pm.I spoke to a few other guests who had also experienced various problems, no heating in the room, TV not working.....We felt very deflated when we left.

Colin Naylor: The location of the Mercure in Sheffield is superb, especially if you are visiting the Crucible theatre. The spa facilities are great and they have a sauna, a steam room and an ice room; where, if you wish, you can douse yourself with ice whilst in an ice cold shower. What bliss! My room was a bit warm as the thermostatic control on the wall didn't seem to do anything; but they took this on board when I checked out.

Keith Foster: First timer to stay in the city centre of Sheffield. The hotel is ideally located, with the bar and restaurant area overlooking the winter garden, which adds a great feel to the experience.
