Sarah Brisco: A number of friends and work colleagues recommended SKO. Comments included “High quality products” and “Stress free”. We contacted them and arranged for one of their designers to come and have a look. James came, measured up and took away our essential and desirable ideas. The same day we were invited to the showroom at Hillsborough to view his design. We fell in love – James had included everything on both of our lists and the price was very reasonable too.The showroom visit was a great way to visualise what each element of our kitchen would look like. There was no hard sell and we went away with designs and an itemised quote to look over.We revisited the showroom and chatted to James a few days after as we had a couple of questions. A few tweaks later we paid our deposit, booked our installation date and eagerly awaited our new dream kitchen.Everything ran as described. Sean Holmes, the fitter came and looked at the job. He discussed options for lighting etc. He gave us dates for when the old kitchen would be ripped out, electrical and gas work done as well as plastering. All of this meant we had to quickly reschedule old appliances to be taken away as the dates did not match the one’s we had been originally given. No big deal it was a couple of days out.On fitting day all of the units, appliances and worktops arrived. Sean and Connor were there ready and waiting. As each day went by we could see the virtual kitchen James had designed taking shape in real life.Then we hit the snags. All three worktops had blemishes and were rejected by Sean. Replacements were quickly organised and came a few days later. Whilst two were fitted the third wasn’t as this had an imperfection again.Finally, after a few weeks all worktops were in place, our new flooring (which we had organised ourselves) was fitted, Sean came back to do the snagging jobs and fit the plinth around our island. We thought that would be it – finished. Unfortunately not.Our kitchen fit was started mid-August 2022. It’s now March 2023 and we’re still waiting for the manufacturers of the worktops to supply one that is fit for purpose for one of our units.SKO - The units and doors are first class. SKO use high quality products and it shows.Fitting - Their recommended fitter Sean was a perfectionist and everything had to be just so for him.What has let SKO down in our ranking has been twofold.1) The quality of the externally sourced products. The worktops we had fitted (Blackheath – Spectra Collection – Square edge) have repeatedly arrived at the SKO warehouse damaged or with imperfections and had to be returned and replaced.2) Follow-ups on issued raised with SKO. Initially these were very slow/non-existent. That was until the Sales Manager Mark got involved.Mark visited our home to look at the issues first hand. He agreed things weren’t how they should be and also noticed an incorrect oven had been installed. Things then started to move and were rectified.On reflection would I use SKO or recommend to a friend? Yes, but I would tell them:a) not to have the worktops we have had; andb) don’t be afraid to chase any outstanding issues. They recommended a great architect, acted as an intermediary, kept the ball rolling with regular meetings where they offer great insight on the functionality of different design ideas and made us feel both well advised and in control of the process - we could not have asked for a higher standard of service. We got through planning permission (with great work from their recommended architect) but due to a change in circumstances we decided to move before seeing this project come to fruition. Had we moved forward with it we felt confident our dream loft conversion would have been achieved with the same level of competence and professionalism we encountered in the design and planning process.

Abigail EA Hathway: Excellent service from SSK and we love our new kitchen, it has vastly improved our home. Along with the new kitchen we had walls moved, all electricity and plumbing moved, and internal wall insulation added. It was well worth having SSK project manage the whole process. They sent me a detailed schedule and stuck to it, and I always knew when to expect workmen; the workshop boss also came out frequently to keep an eye on progress himself. Robert Ruddiforth: We went to Kitchen Craft Design initially to have a browse at their English Kitchens - expecting them to be outside of our price range.We had quite a firm plan of what we wanted our kitchen to be - as we were drastically changing our living space to be more open plan. He also drew alternatives plans, using his years of experience to effectively use our space to gain us an island (something we initially thought we didn't have space for) which we were extremely happy to proceed with.Anthony understood we were working within a tight budget and did his absolute best to deliver the kitchen we wanted for the price we could afford.We had an issue during the kitchen installation (we used our own fitter) which Anthony swiftly resolved without any complaints. Rachel Tattersall: Highly, highly recommended. We needed to design a kitchen for a new quite large extension and had had a previous German kitchen so wanted another one. Two things stood out about the first visit to KCD. Firstly it was completely no pressure and secondly when I took in our extension plans Richard listened what we wanted and then came back quickly with a design which actually fitted the bill and hardly changed over time. Really importantly he was happy to email us the CAD drawings to look at in our own time. He was also keen to know our budget so he could make a design fit for purpose. Other places had either been very precious about their potential designs and asked for £250 for the CADs or had not actually asked for a budget and designed wildly expensive first goes. We opted for a 'dry fit' and Andy the fitter knows the kitchens inside out and fitted with great attention to detail. There was one measurement issue on site and KCD sorted that out very quickly and kept to the original schedule. They also weren't phased by us changing the installation date 3 times and didn't for one moment suggest they would charge us for the storage of the kitchen which was delivered in September but actually fitted in December (other friends in a similar position have been charged £70 p/w 'storage in a similar situation by a different firm). After care has been great - one reason for waiting a bit before posting this review. In short a firm of people who seem to really care about what they do and have been a pleasure to deal with who supply high quality Hacker Kitchens as well as bespoke joinery - Highly recommended.

At the start when we first contacted Kitchen Craft we weren't sure if we would be able to get the further units from Germany that we needed, but Anthony has made this happen and as a result we have the kitchen that we wanted. The delivery team were also great, as were the office team, really efficient. I would definitely recommend Kitchen Craft and their service to others.

James Rolstone: Ordered our kitchen from Kitchen Craft Design in October 2018. the design service was good. Dean was very accomodating and patient as we kept on changing our minds on various details. And he was never pushy which we really appreciated. For example, the first design and quote included very top end appliances with all the bells and whistles. We said that we'd be happy with mid-range expecting a hard sell on why we should spend the extra, but in fact Dean immediately made the changes without question.When the kitchen was delivered we did unfortunately have a number of issues with missing and wrong bits. However, the team made every effort to get all issues resolved as quickly as possible. I won't lie, it was a pain at the time and the reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars. But we got there in the end and now have a beautiful, high quality kitchen which we love.

We scheduled a date, however due to delays in the project our side, we needed to push back the kitchen start date at quite short notice. Kieron was extremely accommodating and made this happen. When the fitting date did come round, all the materials were delivered in advance for Chris (joiner) to be able to start on day 1. We have had a lot of tradesmen on our project and Chris’ professionalism and approach has been unsurpassed. He is somebody that truly cares in what they are doing and the fitting took only a week and was flawless. As minor issues cropped up, to be expected in a brand new kitchen, Chris was able to rectify them without delay. Chris consulted us throughout the fitting to ensure we were happy with all the aspects of the kitchen. Overall, we are extremely happy with the kitchen, and the quality is unrivalled. Malcolm Fleet: We had our new kitchen fitted in November 2020 so thought it would be a good idea to give a review 15 months after to reflect any issues, wear and tear etc after a period of time.Fortunately there's nothing to report after 15 months as the kitchen is as new as the day it was fitted due to the quality and professionalism of the product and Kieron and his team.At our first meeting with Kieron we explained we needed a full refurb with adjoining wall knocked down between kitchen and dining room as well as extending through to a new conservatory that we were planning in at the same time.Kieron was very professional and was a great help in ensuring we chose the right kitchen, finish and fittings. The planning and design process was excellent and if we decided to make any changes along the way he always helpful and gave us the right advice.A nice touch during this process was having a walk around the workshop where they actually build the kitchen units. It was really interesting and we were very impressed.Considering the work was carried out during the height of Covid it near enough went to plan and on time even though he had workers off with Covid at times.We are so glad we went with Concept now. The quality of the kitchen is the best and love the little details like dovetail joints etc on the draws.Once all the building work was done the kitchen fitter came in and once fitted the painter came to hand paint the units. David Jones and Emma Jones: We've now used Concept interiors twice for projects for our house.We initially found them earlier this year, when looking to remodel our outdated Ikea kitchen.Kieron was fantastic from the day we first contacted Concept, arranging for us to visit the showroom within a fortnight. He really took the time to sit and talk through all our ideas and understand how the kitchen needed to work for us. After creating the initial design, he worked closely with us to refine it until we were completely happy, and wasn't afraid to make suggestions or let us know if he thought things wouldn't work in the way we hoped.The build itself was seamless, with all contractors arriving on time as planned and with appropriate notice. Bradley Newton: When id finally decided to get my kitchen done I went down the high end route looking a places wanting to charge £35,000 plus for a full kitchen redesign, after realising this was way more than I was prepared to pay for the plans id been given I looked at going through the likes of Howdens, stumbled upon Sheffield Solid Surfaces due to thinking I was being ripped off from the Howdens recommended worktop company, decided to give Sheffield Solid Surfaces a call and was greeted by Teegan who straight away wanted the plans for the previous quote id had & honestly within 2 minutes I could tell she knew her stuff about worktops and by chance had mentioned that they had started doing kitchens so I sent over my Howdens plans and within a few hours Chris had redesigned the kitchen doing things Howdens couldn't possibly do like floor to ceiling units & squeezing my two ovens side by side underneath a structural beam running through the kitchen honestly I was blown away. Ian Henshaw: Mike has just completed our beautiful new bathroom. He took out the old one, did the necessary repairs as he uncovered problems and put in the new one to a very high standard. All of the plumbing work was very tidy, good clean soldered joints and solvent weld waste pipes. The tiling work was done to a very high standard, all the lines worked out perfectly in relation to everything in the room. The bathroom design required some bespoke work, including a long granite "shelf" with inset sink and a tiled P-Shaped bath panel, the result is stunning. I could not be more pleased with the results.
